January 4, 2007Something amazing happened to my plushie today. I guess I should make a journal for her now. From Alaera's Journal
 You remember that plushie I got for Christmas, the special one I named Amethyst? Well, you will never believe what happened to her this morning!!
It was early and I was still sleeping. I had fallen asleep the night before snuggling with Amethyst. I know its lame for a teenager to still sleep with a plushie, but I get kinda lonely sometimes. Not like Asrai is much company, since he can't come out of his puddle. Anyways, I was sound asleep snuggling with my plushie when suddenly, it wasn't a plushie anymore!! It had turned into a toddler! A very loud and unhappy toddler at that. Scared me half to death to wake up and find a toddler lying right where Amethyst had been. I scooped the toddler into my arms and started rocking her. I didn't have any idea what had happened but I slowly put it together as I calmed her down. I've seen a lot of crazy magical stuff happen on this island so it only made sense that that's what happened since the toddler in my arms looked almost exactly like my plushie (which was no where to be found).
So I guess I have another little one to take care of now. I'll take her over to Sally's later today so she can play with Sylvestanya.

January 22, 2007Amethyst disappeared for awhile today. Almost gave me a heart attack. Finally found her in HQ, how she managed to get all the way there I'll never figure out. Torvil Polgara again had taken her usual place on one of the couches in the main room of the HQ, book in hand. She intended to read a little, if only to keep herself occupied till the wee hours of the morning, where she would finally work up enough tired to sleep. It was, to her, a tedious but necessary ritual, that had been a long standing practice for her, even before she had eldered.
Turning the page of the book slowly she sighed, feeling a bit of melancholy taking hold. She rather missed her brothers, neither of whom had decided to grace her with their presence. [chainedfaye] Amethyst was exploring. She was tired of being dragged around all over, especially when she didn't even want to go in the first place. But did anyone ever listen to her? And so she had snuck away from her annoying over protective sister and struck out on her own. 'Course since she could only crawl and wiggle her wings a little, she wasn't getting very far very fast.
She sniffed the air and decided to go through a doorway into a big room, something inside smelled good. Maybe it was food. So in she went, only to discover it wasn't food but an old funny looking Pae woman.
"Oh well" she thought and crawled over. Maybe this lady would help her get some food. Torvil Polgara was not getting far in her reading, not at all. With a long strained sigh she let the book fall shut and placed it on the couch beside her, before standing and stretching, about to go off into the kitchen to go muck with some baking perhaps.
It was then that she noticed the child, having done her usual scan of the room, and she shook her head. "I swear, it seems every time I turn around a new one appears!" She smiled and knelt down, picking the toddler up and placing it close to her chest, as she walked into the kitchen.
"So little one, looks like you're going to help me bake!" She said with a little bit of excitement, it had been awhile since she baked with company, not counting Marza. She had helped, this time, Pol just needed someone close. [chainedfaye] Amethyst blinked as she found herself back up in someone's arms. Again. 'Why was that always happening' she growled and was about to protest when she heard the word "bake." Bake! She knew that word! Bake meant something yummy for her tummy!! She grinned and started clapping happily.
For once she was getting to go where she wanted! She snuggled closer in the lady's arms, thinking maybe she wasn't gonna be so bad after all. Torvil Polgara smiled, and set the toddler carefully on the counter, watching the child like a hawk as she gathered the materials, getting them by touch and not look, since she dare not take her eyes off the child less she fall.
Once she got everything gathered, she brought them over next to the child, setting a large bowl in front of her. "We're going to make some cookies, this is for the batter." [chainedfaye] Amethyst stayed where she was put. She could be trouble if she wanted to be but this nice lady was gonna make something yummy for her, so she had better be good. Or she might not let her have anything!
Her eyes got big when she heard cookies. The giant sister person hardly ever let her have cookies and they were so yummy too. She clapped her hands again and smiled "'ookies!" She leaned forward to look into the bowl wondering where the cookies were. Torvil Polgara smiled happily as she started to make the batter. Almost an entire box and a half (for the sake of reasoning, lets call it six sticks) of butter when into the bowl, along with flour, sugar, and milk. Quickly she started to mix it all together with a large spoon, and it didn't take long for it to come together. When the batter was ready, she smiled and grabbed a baking sheet quick and put it next to the bowl, handing the spoon to Amethyst. "Would you like some of the batter?" [chainedfaye] Amethyst nodded eagerly and plopped the spoon into her mouth licking it all over. When it was clean, she was far from it..she had gotten batter all over her face. It was soo yummy though! She thrust the spoon out at the lady and demanded "More!!" Torvil Polgara smiled and rolled up a small ball of the dough, and placed it on the spoon. "There you go," She smiled, as she started to roll the dough into small balls, having buttered the baking sheet, and started to place them on the sheet evenly, she managed about five a row, with about five rows. "There," She smiled. "And look, we have extra!" In fact, she had enough for another two batches... Polgara was never one to half do something. "I'll have to get another cookie sheet while these bake," She chuckled, placing the one sheet in the oven and turning it on, before moving to grab another sheet. [chainedfaye] Amethyst took the spoon back and slurped up the ball of dough. "Yummy. You good bake. What you do now?" She watched inquisitively as Polgara moved around the kitchen. Torvil Polgara laughed lightly before placing another sheet down next to the bowl of dough and started rolling more dough. "Keep making sheets until I run out of dough, and thank you," She smiled at the young toddler. "Usually it takes awhile, but once the first batch is done, I'll put this next batch in." [chainedfaye] Amethyst nodded not understanding at all. "Me like ookies. What else we make?" She had a sweet tooth and wanted to try more goodies. Torvil Polgara chuckled. "Would you like to make a cake when the cookies are done?" She asked, smirking slightly, "It may take a little while, but we can do it." [chainedfaye] Amethyst nodded eagerly. She didn't know what cake was but if it was anything like cookies she'd like it just as must. "Yeah cake cake!! Ame wants cake!" Torvil Polgara smiled. "Alright, hold your horses!" He smirked, reaching over and poking Amethyst on the nose. "You've got to wait until the cookies are done, and then we'll make a cake." [chainedfaye] Amethyst giggled and rubbed her nose before getting up, crawling over to the edge, and sticking her head out over the counter to look down at the oven. The smell coming from it was heavenly. "Done yet?" she asked the nice lady, looking back up at her. Torvil "Not yet young one," Polgara laughed, shaking her head slowly. "Another five minutes or so should do it..." She smirked and grabbed a third sheet, finishing off the dough, then moved to clean out the bowl. [chainedfaye] "Otay" Amethyst replied. Her eyes got big when she saw another tray of cookies being made. Were those all for her?? Well she was hungry after all and to illustrate her point, her tummy chose that moment to rumble. She giggled and looked up at the lady "Ame hungy. 5 minutes up yet?" She had no sense of time either. Torvil Polgara laughed. "Another two, and they'll be done, when the oven goes beep-beep," She smiled at the child, and true to her word, the oven started to beep. She moved over and pulled the cookies out quickly, sliding the other two racks in, and then placed the cookies onto a cooling tray. "Now they need to cool a little, so give them... oh... another minute or so..." [chainedfaye] Amethyst got excited as the timer beeped. eyed the cookies as they came out of the oven, practically salivating. She squirmed about in anticipation and finally had waited as long as she could before reaching out for a cookie to eat. Torvil Polgara didn't stop her, she figured the cookies were cool enough to handle, and if they weren't well, she'd deal with the burn then. She'd long since learned that 'Hot! Don't Touch!' usually lead... to touching the hot object. So she figured if anything, the toddler was going to figure out hot sooner or later. Instead she was getting stuff ready to make a cake. [chainedfaye] Amethyst picked up the nearest cookie before dropping it back down. Ouch, she hadn't imagined it would be quite so hot. It didn't really hurt that bad so she just waved it around a little bit before sticking it in her mouth and reached out with the other hand to grab another cookie. This one wasn't quite as hot and she knew what to expect this time. She brought it up to her mouth planning on devouring it only to discover she had a problem. She couldn't fit both of them in! She looked back and forth between the cookie and the arm that disappeared in her mouth, not sure what do to.
She looked up at the nice lady her eyes big and full of moisture. Torvil Polgara smiled warmly at the child. "Take the hand out of your mouth," She said as she got a small bowl of cool water, and brought it over to the little tot. "And put it in here," She smiled. [chainedfaye] Amethyst hesitated. She rather liked the feeling of her hand in her mouth, somehow it was comforting. But she really wanted that cookie. Decisions, decisions.
She finally pulled it out of her mouth with a plop! and stick it in the cold water. Ooh, that felt nice. When her mouth was free she shoved as much of the cookie in as she could fit.
"Mphf, ookie ood" She said spraying crumbs everywhere as she talked with her mouth full. Torvil Polgara chuckled. "Yes, they've very good," She smiled as she started to mix up the cake batter, since she would need to pop it in the oven once the cookies were done! She did hope the child would stay up awhile, before sleeping on her. [chainedfaye] After Amethyst was done devouring that cookie she reached out for another one. She ate this one a little slower watching the nice lady make something new. She wanted to ask but found her mouth too dry to talk.
"Ame want Dwink!" she demanded. Torvil Polgara chuckled and put her hand above the counter in front of Amethyst and smirked. "Milk," and a glass of milk appeared. She was getting a lot better at doing this summoning thing, since she seemed to do it all the time now. [chainedfaye] Amethyst clapped her hands when suddenly a glass of milk appeared out of nowhere. She looked at the lady with awe. "Neat twick! Lady teach Ame."
She reached for the glass of milk and pulled it closer to her. It was rather big and bulky for the toddler's clumsy hands and before she manged to take a sip, the glass slipped out of her hands and spilled milk on the counter around her. Her eyes filled with tears and she started to cry. Torvil "Whoops!" Polgara said, "Towel!" She declared, and quickly started cleaning up the mess, grabbing the glass and quickly mopping up the mess before poking Amethyst on the nose. "Now, now, no use crying over split milk," She smiled and kissed the girls forehead. "I'll get you another one..." She smiled and summoned a new one for the tot, this time in a sippy cup."
"I would love to teach you Ame, but it's my talent, and I've not met anybody else who can." [chainedfaye] Amethyst's tears dried up as a sippy cup appeared. She reached out for the cup and started sucking on happily. When it was empty she set it down and looked up at the lady, trying to judge whether she was serious about not being able to teach her or not. She had been nice to her so far and Amethyst couldn't help but think it was the truth, which was a shame. That was a really neat trick she would have shown everyone at home that she wasn't just a baby if she could have done it. She'd have to find some other way then.
"Ame" she said pointing to herself, she obviously couldn't say her whole name. She moved her hand to point at the lady and waited. Torvil "Polgara, but you can call me Aunty Pol," She smiled at Amethyst, bowing her her head as she continued to work on her cake batter, wanting to make sure it was good and done before she went any farther. [chainedfaye] Amethyst scrunched up her face in concentration as she tried to repeat the name she had just been told. "po-pool-poolga. Polga!" She nodded triumphantly.
"Me like you, you nice. What you do now" she crawled over to the bowl and peered inside. Torvil "Making the cake batter, so you can have a cake," Polgara grinned and poked the little girl in the nose. "It's what you wanted yes?" She chuckled, not wanting to give away much more info. [chainedfaye] Amethyst nodded eagerly. "Yes cake, Ame want cake." She watched Polga for a bit before looking up and asking "Ame stir?" Torvil Polgara smiled, and handed the spoon to Amethyst, "There you go Ame, go for it, stir your little heart out," She smiled, hoping the child didn't mistake her turn of phrase, that could be... gruesome! [chainedfaye] Amethyst gripped the spoon tightly as she shoved it down into the batter and tried to move it in a circle, her face scrunched up in her effort. The batter was thick though and she was not the strongest toddler in the world, the effect being she was just moving the bowl around the counter in circles. Torvil Polgara chuckled and reached out, holding the bowl down for Amethyst so she would have a little bit easier of a time at doing it, though she knew the toddler might not be able to move the batter, and if it proved as such, she would move in and take over again, but she was going to let the child have her moment of individuality and independence. [chainedfaye] Once the bowl stopped sliding around on the counter, Amethyst was able to move the spoon around in the batter, even if it was just a little bit. She worked hard stirring, but wasn't getting very far and her little arms were starting to ache from the strain.
"You tun now." She held the spoon out. Torvil Polgara smiled and took the spoon, stirring the batter quickly before pouring it into the pan. She shot a glance at the oven, checking to see if the cookies were almost done. They weren't quite, so she would have to let the batter sit for a little. [chainedfaye] Amethyst watched Polga stir as she let her little arms rest, glad she had been able to help. All that hard work had sure made her thirsty though. She crawled back over to her sippy cup, which she had taking quite a liking too, and lifted up to her lips only to discover it was still empty. She frowned and held the cup up in the air shaking it at Polga.
"Ame want more!"
Torvil Polgara smiled and bowed her head a little. She took the sippy cup from Amethyst and opened it, placing her hand over it. "Milk," She said, and then recaped it once it was full. She then handed it back to the little girl and poked her nose, before going to pull the cookies out of the oven, and go put the cake in. [chainedfaye] Amethyst watched her summon the milk, still jealous of the lady's power. She took a quick drink out of her sippee cup before reaching out and grabbing another cookie. She had a sudden idea though...cookies made her thirsty...what if she could somehow put them together! She looked back and forth between the cookie and the sippee trying to figure out how put them together. She finally turned the sippee upside down and watched as it slowly dripped out onto the cookie, completely forgetting about Polga. Torvil Polgara had not forgotten about the child, and once the cake was in the oven, she turned and watched the child, smiling at her as she watched her explore culinary experimentation. After all, you were only a child once, why ruin her fun? [chainedfaye] Amethyst kept adding milk until her sippee was empty, which by then the cookie was completely soaked and soggy. She picked it up in both hands to keep it from crumbling apart and started eating it out of them like they were a bowl. She finally remembered Polga and raised her hands up offering the nice lady some, not noticing the globs of wet sticky cookie glued to her face. Torvil Polgara laughed softly and shook her head. "No thank you, I'm saving room for some of the cake," She patted her tummy softly, and then moved to get a washcloth and quickly cleaned up Amethyst's face, even though she knew the child was only going to get more sticky soon. [chainedfaye] Amethyst let her wash her up. She had gotten rather sticky and it felt nice to be clean again. 'Sides that meant she had more room to get messy again! Her ears had perked at the mention of cake, and once she was all clean she asked "Cake done yet?" Torvil "Almost," Polgara patted Amethyst's cheek. "Soon, a few more minutes is all," She chuckled, and turned a little, to watch the counting down on the oven, "I'd say about five more minutes, and I'll check on it," [chainedfaye] Five minutes seemed like an eternity to the little toddler. Amethyst watched the over intently for some time before getting bored. She eyed the cookies for awhile, trying to decide if she wanted another one, or to wait for this cake thing. She finally decided to wait for the cake and went back to staring at the oven. After yet another eternity of nothing happening she gave up on that too. Her eyes settled on her empty sippee cup and she reached out for it. The lady said only she could make milk appear but maybe maybe if she tried hard enough, it would work for her too. Amethyst scrunched her little face up as she concentrated all the mental thought on the cup thinking 'Milk' Torvil Five minutes on the dot - well, as close to the dot as possible - the timer rang, and Polgara moved and pulled the cake out of the oven, and placed it on a cooling rack to let it stand for awhile. She had decided against frosting it, since the child was probably getting more than her fair intake of sugar.
"Cake's done, but we need to wait a few more minutes for it to cool." [chainedfaye] Amethyst attention on the cup was distracted when she heard the time go off. She had been here long enough to know that meant something good was gonna come out of the hot box thingy. And all that staring and concentrating was making her head start to hurt anyway. She clapped excitedly until she heard that it had to cool. She wanted cake now!!!
"Ame want cake!!! CakeCakeCakeCakeCakeCakeCakeCakeCakeCakeCake!!!" she chanted accentuating each "cake" with a loud and forceful clap, her eyes never leaving the confectionery delight Polgara had just pulled from the oven. Torvil Polgara laughed and smiled, she moved to get a knife, and once she had one, started to cut the cake into pieces, the first piece she gave to Amethyst, the second she took or herself, and then she placed the knife a safe distance on her side of the cake, and using her hands, began to eat.
Sometimes that was the best way to eat cake. [chainedfaye] Ame looked at the piece of cake in front of her curiously for a moment before poking it. A delighted look came over her face as her finger went down into the spongy material. "Squishy" she cried out before picking it up with both hands and shoving as much as she could of it into her mouth at once. Torvil Polgara stifled a laugh, as she was after all in the middle of stuffing her own craw with tasty spongy cake. Swallowing, she let herself chuckle a little, before taking another bite and trying to force herself to go slow.
But it was hard, oh so very hard, to not want to shove the cake hand over fist into her mouth. [chainedfaye] Once all the cake was completely stuffed in her mouth (though who knows how all that cake fit!) Amethyst grinned up at Polga with chocolate stains all over her mouth and hands. "Cake yummy!" she practically screamed out once her mouth was empty enough, even though crumbs still went flying, and reached out, hoping for another piece.
Torvil Polgara chuckled and slowed her consumption down to finally not touching the cake at all. Rolling her shoulders slowly she smiled. "That's good, that means it came out perfectly," She shook her head slowly. "Which is a good thing," She sighed a little and looked around.
She was going to have to clean up again... [chainedfaye] Alaera had been wandering the halls of HQ's looking for that little mischievous brat. She always wandered off somewhere and she had to go look for her. She was about to give up when she heard a rather loud "Cake yummy!" in a familiar voice. She followed it down the hall and was rather concern at the sight she saw as she entered the room.
Ame was sitting on the counter, hands and face covered in chocolate, practically vibrating as she bounced up and down, with the elder standing nearby. Her concern faded away though as she noticed a huge cake resting on the counter. "Hello there again Polgara. I see you've been baking again." she said with a smile.
Ame had been clapping her hands and bouncing up and down off the counter when she saw Alaera enter the frown. She frowned...oh no the big sister person was here to take her away from her fun! Torvil Polgara chuckled. "What can I say? It's an addiction!" She smiled, and moved over to the sink, grabbing a washcloth and getting it wet with warm water, before moving back over to Ame, and starting to clean her up. "How are you doing by the way?" She asked, working on getting all the chocolate off Ame. [chainedfaye] "I'm doing great. And how have you been? Election going well?" Alaera said as she moved closer to the counter bearing the cake and continued to eye it. "I see you've found my wandering 'lil troublemaker." She chuckled "I hope you haven't filled her too full of sugar."
Ame squirmed around in an attempt to get away from the wet washcloth rubbing her clean. She wanted more cake, not to be clean! She grabbed Polga's arm with both her chubby little hands and tried to push it away.
Torvil Polgara chuckled, shaking her head. "It's going alright, later on I have a speech I need to work on, but right now I'm just trying to think of things to say."
Shaking her head as her arm was slowed by the child she chuckled and switched hands, attacking with the damp cloth again. [chainedfaye] Alaera smiled. "Maybe you should just bribe them all with cake. Would work on me" she laughed as she broke a small piece of the cake off and popped it into her mouth. Mmmm, still good as ever.
Ame had had enough of this. She wanted more cake and if she had to get it herself then she was going to get it! She moved to get up, balancing precariously on the counter and taking a few unsteady steps forward.
Torvil Polgara's arm shot out to make sure she'd catch the child if it fell, but she was more focused on Alaera.
"But that would be terribly unethical, and I'm sure there are some people out there who probably don't like cake, so I'd have to make cookies too, and if I'm Mayor, I wouldn't have the time to do that," She admitted with a small laugh. [chainedfaye] Alaera frowned at Ame's antics. "Yeah you're probably right, I hadn't thought of that." She moved over to pick the toddler up and balanced her on her hip. The little girl needed a nap, and soon. "Well, if you don't win the election, you could always open up a Bakery. You make the best cakes I've ever tasted, and apparently Ame agrees."
Ame fought against Alaera's grip and pounded her little fists against the big person's chest, but her sugar high was quickly wearing off, leaving her drained of energy and exhausted. She started a low crying whine and begrudgingly laid her head on Alaera's shoulder. Torvil Polgara reached out and gently patted the back of Ame's head. "There will be more cake Ame, you go with Alaera now," She chuckled softly before bowing her head to Alaera.
"We'll see, I won't get my hopes up... But we'll definitely see..." She smiled and moved to fix her hair. [chainedfaye] Alaera smiled at the tenderness in Polgara's voice and touch. "Well you would be a wonderful mayor I think, and I will certainly tell everyone I come across so."
She bounced Amethyst on her hip. "Thank you so much for looking after Amethyst for me. She keeps wandering off no matter how a careful an eye I keep on her. I better get her down for a nap now. Say goodbye Ame."
Ame opened her droopy eyes enough to find Polgara and wave at her with a chubby, and still a little chocolately, hand as she said "Bye bye Polga."
Torvil "Bye you two! Have a good nap Ame," She smiled at the pair as she turned to go finish cleaning the kitchen.
Oh dear... We really made a mess! She laughed inwardly and moved quickly to start doing what needed to be done to clear up the place.
[chainedfaye] Alaera waved to Polgara as she walked out of the kitchen, the slumbering Amethyst in her arms. "Take care" she called out over her shoulder.

March 12, 2007I'm getting tired of having to go and look for Amethyst all the time. She always wanders off and then I have to go and bring her home. Next time she's just gonna have to find her own way home. [chainedfaye]
Amethyst had wandered away again. She rather liked exploring by herself. The "others," as she thought of her family, only seemed to hold her back, always afraid she would get hurt or lost. That was part of the fun!
Speaking of lost, she had no idea where she was right now. It was a grassy area the long tendrils reaching up to tickle her arms as she slowly moved through the "jungle." You could tell it was spring out, the sky a perfect shade of blue with pearly wisps of clouds slowly floating across the endless expanse. She laid down on her back to watch, imagining the clouds were something else.
Kira of Flames Raziel snickered to himself, propping himself up with the foliage of the area as he waddled. He was just learning to walk, and had become bored of waiting for Koorie to wake up from her short nap. He blinked, seeing another Pae in a clearing, and threw a rock in the direction, sitting down as his little legs gave out. The rock went into the grass, but it didn't go too far. [chainedfaye] Amethyst sat up as she heard something land with a thud nearby. She scanned the area and saw another toddler - a boy. She frowned. Another toddler meant another big person that would pick her up and carry her away back to the "others." She looked around and finding none, decided maybe this boy was safe. She crawled over to him slowly, expecting an adult to jump out and scoop her up any second. Kira of Flames Raziel sat there, watching her. He then looked around and found another rock, picking it up. If she did something that would hurt him, he'd hit her with it. [chainedfaye] Amethyst stopped short when she saw him pick up a rock. Hmm, so maybe that's what that sound was earlier. But wait, why was he throwing rocks at her? She hadn't done anything to him! She glared at him and stalked over the rest of the ways to him (that's is, if you can stalk and crawl at the same time). She plopped down in front of him and stared. Kira of Flames Raziel stared back at her, the reached over and poked her curiously. He blinked, seeing they both had tails. Slowly, he put the rock back down. [chainedfaye] Amethyst's eyes grew big. He poked her!! The nerve! How dare he! Her wings fluttered behind her in agitation. She should poke him back. Or bite him. Or pull his hair. Each of these sounded equally appealing though and she couldn't decide which to retaliate with.
"Why poke Ame?" she finally demanded. Kira of Flames Raziel tilted his head when Amethyst spoke. He stayed quiet though, not one to talk much, even though he was learning quickly from Koorie. Instead, he sized Amethyst up, figuring out if he could win a fight if he had to. [chainedfaye] Amethyst contemplated him for a few moments after receiving no answer. She crawled in a circle around him, looking him over as well, trying to judge his character. She hadn't met very many people in her adventures yet though, and wasn't a very good judge. The only thing she could tell for certain was that he was a demon like her, with wings and a tail. As she completed her circle, she moved in close, so close in fact, that their noses where almost touching each other as she glared into his eyes.
"Why you poke Ame?" she demanded again. Kira of Flames Raziel looked back at her. "A...me?" He stuck his hand out, placing a finger on Amethyst's chest. He didn't quite understand social situations, since he preferred to wander away from them, but for some reason, this girl kept his small toddler attention very grasped. He blinked his eyes a little. [chainedfaye] Amethyst sat back on her heels, wondering what in the world he was talking about. Of course she was Ame! She pointed back at herself. "Me Ame" and then at him. "Who you?" Kira of Flames Raziel blinked, then smiled and laughed. He then pointed to himself. "Me, Raveel" He grinned, thinking he made a friend. [chainedfaye] Ame repeated the name after him "Raveel." It was a nice name, certainly not as nice as hers, but still nice. She waved one chubby hand at him in greeting, saying "Hi Raveel" and tugging on a pigtail with the other hand. She had temporarily forgotten her all important poking question. Kira of Flames Raziel grinned and tilted his head. "Ame pway?" His demon tail swished a bit on the ground. His grin, though a little friendly, was very mischievous and had a promise of trouble. [chainedfaye] Ame looked around suspiciously...where was Raveel's big person? She didn't like big people. At all. And little kids didn't just wander around without their big people. Well, 'cept her.
"Where you big person" she finally asked the boy toddler? Kira of Flames Raziel looked around and shrugged. "Nappy-time fo Kowee" He then looked around himself. "Where your?" He grabbed his feet, playing with them a bit and feeling a little restless. [chainedfaye] "Me no like big sis. She 'noy Ame." She nodded enthusiastically.
"Let pway then. What Raveel want pway? Kira of Flames Raziel grinned even bigger. "Westle!" He was a rough houser, he liked rolling around in the dirt. It was a shame that Pastela was still too young for him to really play with. The baby could hardly crawl and Koorie had forbade him to wrestle with her. [chainedfaye] Ame blinked. Westle? Her little mind scanned over all the games her big people had taught her to play, but she didn't know remember a game called westle.
"How pway westle?" Kira of Flames Raziel grinned and let out a snicker. "I sow!" He suddenly tackled her, giggling and holding her by the shoulders. "Pin 'ou!" He got off of her and sat back down. "You twy!" [chainedfaye] Amethyst suddenly found herself lying on her back, unable to move. She sat back up and looked him over carefully as he released her. So that's what westle was.
Ame narrowed her eyes. So he wanted to play fight did he. Well, she bet she could kick his little diapered butt. She reached out and grabbed his arm to pull him off balance. Meanwhile her little wings where fluttering faster than the eye could see, as she lifted herself up and sat down on his chest once she had pulled him down.
"Ame win!" Kira of Flames Raziel, try as he might to squirm from her hold, could roll Ame over. He then did something he saw Koorie do once to Pastela. He reached up and began to try to tickle Ame on her side and under her arms with his little fingers. [chainedfaye] Amethyst scowled down at the little boy wondering what in the world he was doing. It felt funny, a slight tingling, but nothing more. She didn't like being touched so much though and slid off him to glare at him some more.
"What Raveel do?" Kira of Flames Raziel looked disappointed. "Awwwww" He groaned. "Ame no tikwish...." Somehow, he managed to roll onto his side. He then grabbed Ame's side and used his body to roll her over so he was sitting on her. [chainedfaye] Ame found herself on her back again! And this time he was sitting on her. She struggled to get free but wasn't able to wiggle her way out. She finally just reached back and grabbed hold on his wings and pulled! just as hard as she could.
"Off!!" Kira of Flames Raziel's eye widened as pain shot through his wings. Instead of crying, he grabbed Ame's pig tails, pulling them as well. "OW!" [chainedfaye] Hey that hurt!!! Meanie! Well if he thought she was going to let him win just cause he pulled her hair...well he didn't know her very well. She grasped his wings tighter and used them to pull him closer until he was within range. She lifted her head as far as she could with him pulling her pigtails and bit him hard on the arm, sinking her few, tiny little teeth down as hard as she could. Kira of Flames Raziel dug his soft nails into Ame's scalp, bitting her shoulder. He would show this little pae who was tougher; him!. [chainedfaye] Amethyst opened her mouth in a cry when she was bitten. That was her move! Cheater! She re-latched onto him with her sharp teeth, this time into the soft fleshy tissue of his ear. Kira of Flames Raziel whimpered and let go when his ear was bitting on, trying to pull away from Ame. He then started hitting her a bit, trying to fight against the pain coming from those sharp little teeth. [chainedfaye] Ame grinned wickedly and released his ear to better defend herself against his little fists. But now that he wasn't grabbing her pigtails she could use her hold on him against him. She raised up her legs and placed them over his chest pushing him back with them. Kira of Flames Raziel rolled so that he was the one on the ground, but he grabbed Ame's pigtails again, pulling her with him. Something about this was kind of fun to him. It was like extreme wrestling. [chainedfaye] Ame blinked, surprised to find herself back on top. How did that happen? Oh well, more maneuverability.
Ow! The little punk pulled her pigtails again! 'Let's see how he likes it' the girl thought as she released her hold on his wings and moved to grab two fist fulls of hair. But somehow she lost her balance on top of him and lurched forward, slamming her forehead hard into his, head butting him. Kira of Flames Raziel let out a small whimper of pain, then gritted his teeth and kicked up into Ame's stomach with his feet. His leg muscles were a little stronger then Ame's because of his practiced walking. [chainedfaye] Ame wasn't as quick to bounce back as Raziel, the shock of pain flooded her head leaving her rather dazed for a moment. So when the boy kicked into her stomach, she found herself pushed off of him, landing nearby on the soft grass. Kira of Flames Raziel blinked, moving quickly over to Ame and tried to pull her back upright. "Ame ok?" He had a hint of worry on his face, and deep down he hoped that she wasn't hurt. He liked this playmate. [chainedfaye] Ame used his moment of concern to clear her head and plan her next move. As he reached out to help her, her arm snaked out grabbing his and pulling him forward onto his stomach. Once he was down she used her wings once again, flapping wildly in the air, to help her sit down squarely on his back, pinning him down.
Ame giggled evilly. "Ame win!" Kira of Flames Ame moved so quickly, it almost made Raziel's head spin. He had to blink a bit to clear his head and realize what just happened. He then laughed himself. "Ame Win." This was the first time he'd lost to someone. [chainedfaye] Ame giggled more and clapped her hands together happily for a few moments before climbing off Raziel to play with her tail. "Fun! What we pway now?" Kira of Flames Raziel sat up and grinned. "Pebble look!" He got onto his knees and started to crawl around, even though he could walk, looking for pebbles that caught his eye. [chainedfaye] Ame watched as he crawled around. What was pebble look? It looked kinda boring anyway so she just sat, her eyes following him, while she kept playing with her tail. She usually forgot she had one but for some reason today it captivated her attention. Right now she had it between her legs trying to stretch it's pointed end far enough to get it into her mouth - after all what else could a tail before if it wasn't tasty? It wasn't quite long enough though and as she leaned down to it, she must have bent too far because suddenly, she rolled over in a somersault. Ame blinked her eyes in surprise and giggled. That was fun!!! Kira of Flames Raziel grinned and held up a shiny black pebble. "AME! Lookie wa' I find!" He blinked, seeing Ame rolling over. It looked like it was fun, and he saw Ame giggling. He decided to try it himself, flipping himself over in a ball. It was fun! He started laughing. [chainedfaye] Ame was distracted from her rolling by his shout. She couldn't see what he had held up in his hand and was mildly curious, so she started to crawl over to take a look, but was almost run over by a rolling ball of blue toddler. She scowled at him for a moment before her face broke out in a grin of her own and giggled with him some.
"What Raveel find?" Kira of Flames Raziel grinned back at her, a little dizzy. He then held out a sparkling white stone with a slight pink tint to it. It was rose quartz. "Pwetty?" He rubbed his arm a bit, where he had 'found' this other stone by rolling over it. [chainedfaye] Ame squinted to look at what the boy had in his hand. It was a little hard to see so she snatched it out of his grasp to examine it closer, turning it over and over with her tiny little fingers. Finally she look back up at him with a glare and clutched it to her chest protectively.
"Mine" she yelled at him, daring him to come and take it back from her. Kira of Flames Raziel blinked, tilting his head. "You no want this one?" He held out the pretty black pebble that sparkled in the sunlight. [chainedfaye] Ame's arm shot out to snatch this one from his hand as well.
"It Ame's too." Kira of Flames Raziel blinked when the toddler Pae had taken both stones. "Ok..... You wanna look fow mowe? He tilted his head, wondering what Ame would find if she did join him. Her eyes probably would find something super shiny and starkly. [chainedfaye] Amethyst thought for a moment before nodding her head. "'Tay. We go look. But Ame get all pwety ones. Get lots of pwety shiney rocks, all twesure for Ame. " She started to crawl off a ways, but discovered it was slightly difficult to while attempting to keep a tight grip on her new treasure. She looked around for a place to leave them but her eyes landed on Raziel instead and she frowned...she couldn't leave him where he could get to them...she didn't trust him at all. So instead she just shoved them into her diaper...they should be safe there. Kira of Flames Raziel ignored Ame's demands about getting all the pretty ones and looked for ones that caught his eyes. He had taken some bark and covered his pile with it, letting the different pebbles of size, shape and color rest under the bark safely. [chainedfaye] Ame continued to crawl around looking for stones, occasionally ripping out tufts of grass she thought were hiding some nice ones, and shoving them into her diaper along with the other ones. Before long she crawled back over to Raz and demanded "Where Ame's pwety rocks?" Kira of Flames Raziel smirked and handed her some oddly shaped pebbles. "What Ame tink is pwetty is diff'ent fwom Rafeel." The pebbles in her hands were in fact, very interesting. They were different shapes, sizes, and a few had some color variation. Raziel pointed to one. "I like dat one best. Wooks wike wing." [chainedfaye] Ame looked them over carefully, before shoving all but one into her diaper. It was starting to get rather full and heavy. The one rock she held back out to Raziel, thinking she should at least let him keep one, especially his favorite.
"Here. You keep rock you like more." Kira of Flames Raziel blinked, then took the rock from Ame. "Tank you, Ame." He smiled to her brightly. "You no empty dieppy soon, it fall off." He giggled a little at the idea of rocks spilling out of her diaper. [chainedfaye] Amethyst's face flamed and she reached down with both hands to grab the sides of her diaper and hold them up.
"Nuh uh!" she cried back at him. Kira of Flames Raziel giggled more at Ame's reaction, clapping his hands in amusement. His wings fluttered a bit and he blinked, feeling his bottom float off the ground before his little wings got tired again. He thumped back onto the ground and giggled, clapping his hands again. "FUN!" [chainedfaye] Ame glowered at him thinking he was laughing at her. When he fly up in the air she scowled even more. Was he trying to showoff? Pft, well she could fly higher than that! "Ame fly higher than Raviel!!" She gathered all her energy and started to flap her wings as fast as she could. She had just lifted her bottom off the ground when to her surprise she couldn't manage to get any higher than that no matter how hard she beat her wings. She had flown higher than that before, what was the matter?? She looked down and noticed her diaper was hanging down some - it was all those rocks fault! She fumed. The fact that Raziel was right made her even madder.
Amethyst came back down to the ground with barely a thump and huffed. "Well Ame can. Just not want to right now." She crossed her arms in a pout. Kira of Flames Raziel blinked and tilted his head to the side. "Why Ame not take wocks out? I no take them...." It seemed like a simple solution to him. He started playing with one of his toes, rocking back and fourth a bit. [chainedfaye] Ame looked him over carefully. He hadn't tried to take them before, maybe she could trust him. "Otay" she said as she reached into her diaper to pull out a handful of rocks and place them on the ground next to her. "But you take and Ame hurt you!" She held out a fist menacingly. Kira of Flames Raziel puffed his cheeks and chest out. He put his hands on his side. "I no take them!" He said, a little angrily. "I awedy say I not take 'em." Couldn't she trust him? If he had really wanted the rocks, he would have just kept them himself. Koorie had taught him that sharing was good, among some other things. [chainedfaye] Ame couldn't explain why, but she felt like she had done something wrong. She'd never felt this way before, not even when Alaera told her off. And she didn't like the way it made her feel either. Her face lost its menace and she reached another hand into her diaper. "Sowwy. Here Raviel take these." She held her hand out to him, full of rocks as a token on her apology. Kira of Flames Raziel kept his look for a few more seconds, then reached out and closed Ame's fingers around the stones. "Wocks were picked for Ame." He smiled, a little sheepishly. It was a little awkward to be around someone else, he wasn't used to social situations. Somehow he knew though, that the moment he had gotten Ame's attention, he wouldn't be able to block her out. [chainedfaye] Ame looked at his hand closed around hers. He didn't want her rocks? She was confused. No one had ever shared with her, Sylvestanya and Asrai were always everyone's favorites cause they were specialer. She didn't know what to do now - better just pretend nothing happened.
"What we pway now?" Kira of Flames Raziel looked around a bit, then grinned. "Les pway Espwowes...." He liked exploring, despite that a lot of the time he kept to himself. The more he knew about the surroundings, the more he would be able to be more mischievous to Koorie. [chainedfaye] Ame looked at him with a blank face. She had no idea what espwowes was. 'Course she didn't play with many other children her age either. "Wha that?" Kira of Flames Raziel blinked. She hadn't heard of Espwowes before?! How strange! Koorie always had him play that when she needed to rest. He sat down, tugging on his tail, trying to figure out the best way to explain it. "Is when you goes awound wookin at stuffs...." [chainedfaye] Ame titled her head, still a little confused at his description. It sounded kind familiar....did he mean? "Like 'splore?" Kira of Flames Raziel nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah! 'Cept we in a different pwace! Like snowy pwace! Or maybe dwy!" [chainedfaye] Ame frowned again. Just when she thought she understood. "But no snowy here." Kira of Flames Raziel pointed to his forehead. "Pwetend! Use Im a... Ima..." Koorie had tought him this word, but it just didn't like going across his mouth. "Imavination!" [chainedfaye] Ooooh so that's what he meant. When explored usually she just wandered around looking at stuff, but when you're a toddler you can't get around too far and looking at the same old things everyday got a bit boring so sometimes she imagined adventures and new places. But never with anyone else before.
"Otay. We pwetend. "

Kira of Flames "What Ame want to pwetend?" Raziel smiled and slowly and shakily stood up, excited. He was glad to have met Ame, she was the first person out side of Koorie and her charges that he had met. [chainedfaye] Ame watched in wonder as Raziel stood up successfully. She had done so before too, but had always fallen down later and usually ended up with a scraped knee. She pushed aside her competitive nature...she didn't want an owwie today. Instead she thought for a moment on how to answer his question but nothing good popped into her head. She wasn't very good at this.
"Raveel pick." Kira of Flames Raziel blinked, a little surprised by Ame's question, well, more like demand. He nodded and reached out to Ame, deciding that maybe questioning her and putting her competitive drive back to the surface wasn't the smartest idea. "Ok!" He grasped her arms and used all his might to lean backwards to get Ame off the ground. [chainedfaye] Ame's eyes grew big as she was suddenly being pulled off her feet. She couldn't stand up yet (well for very long anyways), what was he doing! She was going to fall and get hurt and she did NOT want an oowie today. Oowies meant that Alaera would fawn over her and coddle her and not let her go exploring for awhile. And she hated being caged up and treated like that. While she was lost in the thoughts, Raziel somehow managed to pull her up, and she realized she was standing Ame clung to him for support. Kira of Flames Raziel blinked, feeling Ame cling to him. He looked down at the girl, concerned. "Ame afwaid?" He was worried for her, he didn't want his only friend to be hurt or scared of him. He was actually having fun being around her. [chainedfaye] Ame quickly let go to put her hands on her hip and defiantly yell "No!" But a moment later when she felt herself starting to wobble she reached back out and grabbed his shoulder to steady herself. Kira of Flames Raziel, not understanding why Ame was still clinging to him, caught her by the arms when she grabbed him again, trying to help steady her. "Why Ame hold Raveel?" [chainedfaye] Ame wretched her arms out of his again. She hated needed someone's help just as much being caged. Starting to teeter again she held her arms out for balance this time instead of holding onto Raziel. She bit her lip before answering, reluctant to admit to him that he was better at standing up than she was..."Ame no stand. Ame fall lots." Kira of Flames Raziel blinked, looking at the teetering Ame. His small little mind was trying to figure out why he could stand and she couldn't, when he blinked. "Bawance wit wings...." He spread his own wings out and fluttered them a bit to show her. "Maybe help?" [chainedfaye] Ame snorted at his suggestion. Well that was the stupidest thing she'd heard all day. But her gaze happened to fall across his hopeful, eager, helpful looking face and Ame just sighed. She might as well try it just to humor him. She spread her wings out from their folded up position and flapped the lightly to stretched them out. It felt weird at first to hold them out for so long instead of folding them up to protect the delicate little things like she normally did, but after a moment it wasn't quite as hard. And she noticed she was balancing better and not wobbling so much. It actually worked! She suddenly felt a bit silly and her cheeks blushed as she mumbled out "Oh. Tanks." Kira of Flames Raziel couldn't help but grin. "No pobwem!(problem)" He pointed to a rock. "Lez climb the wock! It's a biiiiig mountain!" As he emphasized the word 'big', he stretched his arms up as tall as he could for visual emphasis. [chainedfaye] "Wace!!" Ame cried out before taking off running, her wings flapping as she used them for balance occasionally getting lifted off the ground as a slight gust of wind brushed past her wings, skipping her along. As she neared the rock, she glanced back to see if he was following her. Kira of Flames Raziel was blinking in a bit of a stupor, and when he finally realized what was going on, she was already a good yard away from him. He quickly ran after her, tilting his wings so they lay flat to give him a bit more balance. Little did he know was that it also helped him be a little more arrow-dynamic. Little by little he gained on to Ame. [chainedfaye] Ame was surprised to see, that when she looked back, Raziel was catching up and quite close. She put some more speed on and moved in front of him. If she couldn't run faster than him, she'd just have to get in his way and block him from getting there first. Kira of Flames Raziel let out a shout of frustration, then lost his balance, tumbling forward. Natural instincts kicking in, he reached forward to grab the nearest thing to get his balance; Ame's tail and wings. One hand grabbed a wing, the other grabbed her tail as he fell to the ground, letting out an 'oomph'. [chainedfaye] When Ame heard Raziel's shout of frustration a grin started to spread across her face and she opened her mouth to let out her own shout, one of triumph. But her shout turned into one of surprise as she felt something latch onto her tail and wing and pull rather painfully, stopping her forward motion and actually causing her to fall backwards and tumble head over heels. Kira of Flames Raziel winced and knocked his head against Ame's by accident. "Ah!" Pain shot through the side of his head where it had hit against Ame. He tried to regain balance, but fell onto the ground, nursing his head now. "Owies...." Tears were starting to brew in his eyes from the pain. [chainedfaye] A scowl started to cross Ame's face as she rubbed the rising painful bump on her head and she raised her eyes to start to glare at the cause of her now aching head, tail, and wings. But when she did, she couldn't help but notice he was doing the exact same thing as she was, just in the opposite direct. It was like looking into a mirror. She couldn't help herself, Ame start to lightly giggle and then burst out in laughter, completely forgetting about her pain. Kira of Flames Raziel wiped away his tears and looked at Ame like she was crazy. Wasn't her head hurting? If it was, why was she laughing of all things? This Pae must have been taught some very strange habits. [chainedfaye] The bewildered look on Raziel's face was priceless. Her laughter only intensified as she fell do the ground and started rolling around in amusement. Kira of Flames Feeling a little weird, and knowing that Ame was laughing at him, Raziel had no idea what to do. That is, until he saw the rock they were racing to. Slowly he stood up, then started the race again, moving towards the rock. He didn't stop or look back until he was on the rock, huffing, his wings sprawled out on both of his sides. "I...win...." It was the only way he knew how to react to Ame, to take advantage of her distraction. [chainedfaye] Ame continued laughing and rolling on the ground - at least until she heard the soft "I win." The laughter immediately faded away and she sat up to look up to the rock. Her face clouded over as she saw him there. She stood up and stalked angrily over to the rock, hands on her hips.
"You cheated!" Kira of Flames Raziel sat up, still breathing a little heavily. "Nuh uh! I no cheat!" He frowned a bit, frustrated now. He crossed his arms over his chest. [chainedfaye] Ame was grumpy now. She stomped her feet as she screamed "Cheat Cheat Cheat Cheat!" crossing her arms over her chest as well. Kira of Flames Raziel huffed now, scruntching up his nose. "I no cheat! Liah Liah Liah!" He stuck his tongue out at Ame and then turned his head away from her, mad. He never cheated. [chainedfaye] "Yeah huh!!! You wait 'til Ame busy giggly at us and then you cheated! " She plopped down on the ground next to the rock with her back to him and pouted. Kira of Flames "You cheated too! You wun off wit out say'ng 'weady set go!' You cheated so NYAH!" He stuck his tongue out again at her, this time giving her a big wet raspberry. "THBPBPBPBPBPB!" [chainedfaye] Ame stuck her tongue back out at him. "Yeeahs well you pull Ame down just to make her fall, so you cheated more!!" Kira of Flames Raziel turned around, enraged. "I no mean to!" His little fists shook in tight balls by his side, and he stormed off, close to tears in frustration. [chainedfaye] Ame turned around when she heard his footsteps growing distant. Where did he think he was going? She got up and followed him, hovering right behind him. "Where you go?" Kira of Flames "Fah Fah away." There was a little hint of pain in the little Pae's voice and he moved even faster now, his wings fluttering. He didn't know how to react to these emotions, and this was his first friend, so he didn't want to hurt her or upset her any more than she already was. [chainedfaye] Ame picked up her pace struggling to keep up with him. He could sure walk fast when he wanted. "Why you go fah fah way?" Kira of Flames "Cause I 'set Ame.... No want Ame hurt anymore." Raziel took a quickly glance over his shoulder, then looked back ahead. He couldn't figure out why the toddler was following after him. [chainedfaye] "Owwie not hurt that much. It be all bwetta soon. 'Sides, Raviel showed Ame how to walk. That not hurt!" She kept following him...she didn't understand why he kept walking away from her. "Does Raviel not like Ame no more?" Kira of Flames Raziel turned around, blinking. He then shook his head vigerously. "Raviel just no wanna huwt Ame's feewings..." He looked down at the ground, feeling a little embarassed. [chainedfaye] "You no hurt Ame's fweeings. Ame having fun till wock. But we no play that game no more. New game!" She was glad he hadn't said no. She didn't really have any other friends either. Kira of Flames Raziel was a little taken back, but he smiled a little. He was happy as well that she still wanted to be friends with him, her being the first pae he knew outside of Koorie and Pastela and Shale. "Otay..... Ame is Raziel's bes fwiend." He smiled to her. [chainedfaye] "Yay" Ame clapped her hands enthusiastically and jumped up and down. "Raviel Ame's bwest fwend too" she said with a gigantic yawn, while trying to cover her mouth with her hand.
She plopped down on the ground. "Ame tired" she announced. Kira of Flames Raziel, catching that contagious yawn, plopping on the ground beside Ame. "Raviel tired too...." He yawned again, stretching his arms, legs, and wings out. He then lay down on the grass. "Ame nap time too?" [chainedfaye] The yawn Raziel received in response probably answer his question, but Ame still nodded sleepily. Her eyes were getting heavy as she pulled herself over to the little boy and laid down next to him. "Ame go nini now." She yawned again. Kira of Flames Raziel snuggled into the other toddler, sleeping soundly and happily. It had been fun playing with her, but definitely exhausting. His wings fluttered a bit in his sleep until they finally rested folded against his back. [chainedfaye] Alaera walked through the fields of grass nearby the forest and the HQ. She hadn't seem Amethyst for hours and was really starting to get worried. She had looked everywhere it seemed, and still the toddler remained elusive.
"Amethyst??" Amethyst where are you?" she called out in exasperation. Kira of Flames Koorie was moving swiftly through the forest. "Raziel! Raziel, please answer me!" She had left for all of an hour to go foraging for food, and had been sure to settle the three young Pae she watched over down for a nap. She had come back to find the oldest one missing.
"Raziel! Please, come out where ever you are!" She cried out, feeling desperate. She had to find him. [chainedfaye] Alaera paused as she caught the fadings of another voice, one that sounded just as worried as her own. She turned from her path to follow the voice to its owner. One thing she knew well was that trouble usually came in multiples and she had a feeling Amethyst may have found a partner in crime.
Finally coming upon the owner of the voice, she asked the woman "Umm excuse me, have you seen a purple demon toddler girl?" Kira of Flames Koorie looked over to the Pae. This one looked different from Raziel, and she assume her to be full grown. "No, I regretfully haven't. You haven't seen a little blue and greenish demon toddler boy running around have you?" [chainedfaye] Alaera shook her head, regretfully. "No, sorry I haven't. I think the toddlers on this island have a tendency to wander off on their own" she laughed lightly. "Would you care to look together?" Kira of Flames Koorie smiled and nodded. "Sure, we'd be able to cover more ground together. My name is Koorie, and the child I'm searching for is named Raziel." She knew it would be best to pair up with someone who might know the land better than she. [chainedfaye] The demon pae smiled. "My name is Alaera. Nice to you meet you. And the little one I've managed to lose is Amethyst" She laughed again. She resumed calling out "Amethyst" but this time added in "Raziel." After taking a few steps though she stopped and listened intently. She thought she had heard something. Turning to Koorie she asked "Did you hear that?" Kira of Flames Koorie, who had been calling for Raziel and Amethyst, stopped and grew quiet. After a few moments, she looked to her companion. "It almost sounds like snoring....." [chainedfaye] Alaera continued to listen for a moment before nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I think you're right. And it sounds like it's coming from over there." She pointed to a cluster of tall grasses that were swaying slightly in the breeze. Walking over she looked down and started laughing under her breath, gesturing for Koorie to come over and join her. Kira of Flames Koorie walked over and smiled a little, covering her mouth to hid a chuckle. There in the grass were two little trouble making toddlers, snoring away in a sleep. She looked to Alaera. "Should we wake them?" She whispered. [chainedfaye] Alaera raised an eyebrow at the girl. "You haven't been doing this long have you? Either that or Raziel is waaaay better behaved than any toddler I've ever met. You never want to wake a toddler up once they've fallen asleep." She laughed lightly with a smile "It's the only break we get from the chaos they bring while they're awake!" She bent down and gently gathered the sleeping girl up in her arms, trying to disturb her nap. "No, I think it's better we just take them. They look like such angels when they sleep don't they?" Kira of Flames Koorie smiled and picked Raziel up. "I suppose I am blessed, but for a while I was worried with him. He tended to be a bit of a loner, and stayed away from others. I'm really glad to see he's made a friend." She smiled down at the sleeping tot in her arms lovingly. [chainedfaye] "Same with Amethyst. Actually I think this is the first person she's met that's her age that's not family. " Alaera shifted the girl in her arms - when did the toddler get so heavy she thought, not knowing about the collection of rocks stashed in her diaper. She smiled at Koorie "I better get her home before she wakes up. It was nice meeting you. " Kira of Flames Koorie smiled and nodded her head. "Mutually, it was wonderful meeting you. I hope that these two can get together and play again sometime soon." She shifted Raziel so that his head was resting on her shoulder, his small body curled up in her arms. [chainedfaye] "Oh definitely! " Alaera replied secretly thinking she may have found herself a babysitter in Amethyst's new friend. Well not really a babysitter but someone to keep the toddler occupied. Raziel certainly looked like a cutie, especially while sleeping. She smiled at the adorable scene. "Well, I better be going I've got a long walk back to the forest. I'm assuming you live in HQ?" [chainedfaye] "Oh ok. Most of the humans around here live in HQ. Maybe I'll take you there one day, it's a very useful place. We live in the forest there by the lake, so maybe we will run into each other someday." Ame was growing heavy. "Well, take care!" She turned and started walking to HQ herself. She didn't think she could carry the toddler the whole way home. They could both take a nap at HQ and walk home later. Kira of Flames Koorie smiled and waved her good bye to Alaera, then began her own trek to the camp. She wouldn't stop until she got there, since she had to leave the other little ones alone. Getting back was a first priority to her.
Ame make fwend. She like Raviel lots.

I gave Amethyst the plushie I traded for today. She seems to like it, she waited until I turned around to hug it and promptly put one of its ears in her mouth to drool on and fell asleep. sweatdrop Sometimes I wonder if that little girl is alright.

March 26, 2007I was out exploring today when I felt this warm pleasant sensation run down my back, almost as if someone had poured a bucket of warm water on me. It felt rather strange, considering I was in the middle of an open field with no one else around and nowhere near a water source. But I shrugged it off and continued to explore. It was only sometime later when I happened across a small brook, and bending down to take a drink to quench my thirst, noticed my reflection in the water. I had grown! But when? It was then I remembered the strange sensation sometime earlier. That must have been when it happened, though Alaera always described growing as tingling. At least I'm bigger now. Maybe people will stop trying to boss me around as much.

Almost as soon as I turned into a child I headed for Kaladandra's hut. I've wanted my own power for as long as I can remember. I even found my way there once as a toddler when I was lost and exploring.
[chainedfaye] Amethyst stormed into the small clearing around the Power Master's place. Ever since had met Polgara as a toddler, she had desperately wanted her own power, something to set her apart from the others in her family. Heh, maybe if it was a good one she could even use it against Raziel. She slammed open the door and was about to demand a power, right here, right now, when she realized there wasn't even anyone there. The demand died on her lips and she closed her mouth, abruptly. Well, what now? Her eyes glanced around the room taking in the shelves of odd, strange looking bottles and other things she couldn't identify, before landing on the table and the parchment next to a liquid filled beaker. She stomped over, and scanned the directions before stepping to each shelf and picking up something from each. She couldn't pronounce whatever it was on the first shelf she chose, but she picked silver and a purple vial from the next ones.
 
She poured each one into the beaker carefully, enjoying the little puff of smoke and fizzle that each addition caused. After putting each ingredient back on its shelf, Amethyst grabbed her potion and swallowed it all down.
Her face scrunched up at the horrible bitter taste. "Bleck!" She shook her head trying to get the lingering aftertaste out of her mouth. She didn't feel any different yet, but something had better happen soon. She scowled and stormed back out of the hut. I hope I get it soon.

March 27, 2007Guardian_Iris Ooo! It looks like Amethyst has drank the bitter Potion of Boundless Ability. I wonder how it will effect her? Congratulations Amethyst!
The Guardians are pleased that you have chosen to grow and expand your role on the island.
However, drinking a strange potion doesn't come without consequence. You feel urges and instincts that you never have. Your hands tingle a little bit, alerting you to a change that is beginning in your body.
Maybe its obvious to you what is going on, or maybe you need time to figure it out; it doesn't matter right now because the reality is, you now have the ability GEMSTONE! (Supra) ((Obviously, this ability will start out weak, with many limitations, but it is up to you, [chainedfaye], how you choose to develop it. Gemstone means that Amethyst will be able to harden her skin like a gemstone to protect herself. This ability will be unique to Amethyst only, however you may allow her to have other abilities as Pae'il are magical creatures. Just be aware that the Guardian Blessed ability is the only official one however. If you have questions, feel free to ask. Please remember, all powers come with weaknesses too. The more well-rounded the ability is developed (ie, strength AND weakness) the better the chance of being chosen for Elder when they are older. ))

End of April, 2007
It's been boring lately. There's been nothing to do and I can't find Raziel again. Even exploring isn't that much fun lately. So I've been practicing my new power. It's kinda hard. So far I've not been able to turn my whole body into a gemstone, just one or two parts at a time. I'm getting lots better though! At first I could only turn a finger hard. I hope I run into Raziel again someday, I want to show him how much stronger I am!

It started raining furiously a few days ago. Thunder and lightning as well. I've never seen the sky so angry before. I rather like the rain though, it keeps people away. I've been hiding out in the upper branches of Alaera's tree, where the cool rain can still reach me through the multitude of leaves above. It's getting rather boring though. I might go for a walk soon. Bet Alaera or someone else will try to stop me. Let them try.

[chainedfaye] Amethyst was out on the beach by the shores of the lake. The rain didn't bother her, in fact she rather liked it. The storm had chased all the other Pae'il into the safety of their various shelters, leaving her blissfully alone. The solitude enveloped her, leaving her free to think about nothing in particular.
At the moment she was amusing herself by lying on the beach and alternatively turning parts of herself into gemstone, hearing the rain bounce off of her with little plinks. The game was quickly starting to get boring though and she beginning to wonder what she should play next. Kira of Flames Raziel had wandered from the camp to try to find a bit of fire wood to keep dry for burning later. Koorie was back at camp with the other three Pae children, trying to keep them dry. Ever since a few weeks ago, Raziel had found himself liking the feel of water and being pulled to it, and he loved the rain. Seeing a familiar form sitting on the beach, he called out, a little unsure. "...Ame?" [chainedfaye] Ame was distracted from her gain by the sound of another voice, in particular, another voice calling her name. Well there went her solitude. Who in the world would be outside on a day like this? She sat up and looked about her, searching for the source of the voice and spotted a blue blob some distance away. She squinted against the rain - could it be? There would only be one blue blob that could possibly know her name.
"Raz?" Kira of Flames Instantly Raziel's face lit up with a bright smile. "You grew into a child like me!" He was walking over to her when he tripped and fell face first into the mud, non to gracefully for him. Frowning and looking away, he attempted to get up, a little embarrassed. [chainedfaye] Ame grinned back as well, happy to see her only friend again. Hmm, so he was a child as well now. She wondered if he had gotten a power like she had. Laughing when he fell she pulled herself up and started to walk over to the boy. She had just about reached him however when her left leg suddenly turned into the hardened heavy material of a gemstone and she sank down into the wet, muddy sand. She cursed. Stupid power. She still didn't have complete control over it, though she was getting better since she practiced all the time. But for her to be weak in front of Raziel, well that was simply not acceptable! She glared at him, almost as if this whole thing was his fault. Kira of Flames Raziel, seeing Ame sink down a bit, started to laugh. He then felt her glare on him and frowned. He hadn't done anything wrong, why was she upset at him?
Using his wings, he lifted himself out of the mud. He flapped his wings to a hover a few inches off the ground before landing on a patch of grass. He then reached over for Ame's hand to help her from the mud. He had a feeling she probably wouldn't take it. [chainedfaye] Ame struggled for a few moments trying to unsink herself. She regarded his outstretched hand coldly, before finally reaching out to grab it pulling on it to lift herself up and out of the hole. She stared at her leg in dismay. This had happened before, a various body part turned into a gemstone at random and seemingly stayed that way until it decided otherwise. Who knew how long this was going to last? Her face turned red with embarrassment as she mumbled a "Thank you." Kira of Flames Raziel, slightly surprised by Ame having taken his hand, nodded. "No problem.... So why did you sink?" He was curious to it, since she had been standing fine, and then suddenly she was almost knee deep in mud. He didn't think there was a mud hole there, but maybe he was wrong. [chainedfaye] Ame's embarrassment only increased at his question. How pathetic she couldn't even control her own power. "My leg" she mumbled again, moving it forward slightly so he could see it, though he'd better not tease her about it or he'd be sorry! It was very heavy and awkward to move, her small form not yet able to handle the added weight. Once she was a bit older though perhaps... She knocked on the hardened limb , almost as if testing to see if it had gone back to normal yet.
A thought sprang up her mind. If she had sunk because of her power perhaps he had fallen because of his. Though she always though he was a bit clumsy. But still, it was a possibility. "How come you fell?" she demanded, looking his over with curiosity. Kira of Flames Raziel stared in aw at Ame's leg, seeing that it was hard. "Ame....you have super powers too?"
He then blushed brightly at Ame's question and looked to the side, mumbling his reply. "I didn't see the tree root...." He was totally embarrassed, falling over a tree root like that, splatting into the mud. [chainedfaye] Ame just nodded as she stood there lamely, unable to really move yet. Wait..too? She had super powers too? Completely ignoring his response to her earlier question, she demanded a new answer. "Does that mean you have super powers??" Kira of Flames Raziel, relieved that Ame was ignoring his lame excuse for tripping, nodded. "Yeah, it's really weird though...." He fell silent, not knowing how to explain that sometimes, on very rare occasions, he'd find himself walking on top of the water in puddles. [chainedfaye] "What? Tell me!" she demanded yet again as she stomped her non-gemified foot in agitation. Patience wasn't something she had learned in their time apart. Her leg started tingling a bit and she looked down in relief. Finally. About time it started to go back to normal. Kira of Flames Raziel snorted. "I can't..... I don't know what it is, but it's just really strange. Lately I've been dreaming about water, and not the type of dreams when you wake up and have to go to the potty...." He didn't like how Ame was demanding so much from him, however, and he suddenly smirked to himself. Maybe as she was demanding things, he'd give her less and less explaining answerers.... [chainedfaye] Ame scowled at him. That was a super power. Dreaming about water?? That was lame. "That can't be it. There has to be more than just dreaming about water! What else, tell me! " She had to make sure her power was better than his. So far it was but she had a feeling he was holding back from her. But why would he do that? Unless it was so super cool he didn't want anybody to know. Or even lamer than dreaming about water...but how much lamer could you get than that? Kira of Flames Raziel just shrugged. "I don't know if there is anything else to it. The few things that could have been it happen too fast. I never know it's happened till it's over, and when I try again, it doesn't work...." [chainedfaye] Ame huffed and sat down on the ground in a pout. Well that wasn't very informative. How was she supposed to tell now?
She sighed as the feeling finally returned to her leg and it softened back into her skin. Once it had, she tensed, turning it back into a gem and releasing it to make sure everything was still alright. Sometimes she worried that she'd get stuck like that one day.
She looked back at Raziel. "Well why don't you try it again and I'll watch and tell you if anything weird happens." She really wanted to get to the bottom of this. Kira of Flames Raziel nodded and walked up to a puddle, losing his eyes, he put his foot above the water and set it down....
...straight into the freezing cold water. He sighed, a little depresed. "See? I didn't think that it would work." Deciding that having one leg soaked and one leg somewhat dry, or at least as dry as one could get while it was raining, would be annoying, he stepped into the puddle fully.
A few second passed by before he noticed that his foot still wasn't submerged...neither of them were. Looking down, he grinned; he was standing on the surface of the water. [chainedfaye] Ame watched with wonder and awe on her face. "Whoa" she breathed out, crawling forward to get a closer look. "That's wicked cool Raz" How would she ever compete now! gonk All she could do was turn herself into a rock! And sink! Kira of Flames Raziel smiled a little, then a splash was heard as he sunk into the puddle. "I'm afraid to use it, I don't know what else it might have...." He admitted sheepishly, kicking some of the water in the puddle. [chainedfaye] What else? There was more? Agh! Wasn't it already cool enough that he could walk on water...well at least stand on it. "You just need to practice it more. I practice mine all the time and am pretty good at it now but still sometimes things like my leg happens " she admitted with resignation, clenching up her fist, turning it into gemstone to show the boy. Kira of Flames Raziel sweatdroped, seeing Ame didn't understand his point. "I'm just worried that there may be some negative side affects...." He though, however, that it was amazing that Ame could control her power better than he could. Maybe she was right, maybe he should practice more often.... [chainedfaye] Ame frowned. "What else could happen? I mean other than you falling into deep water and drowning" she suggested jokingly when the thought occurred to her. "Wait you can swim right?" She didn't like the idea of him getting hurt (unless she was the one doing it), though she wouldn't admit that to anyone, or even herself for that matter. Kira of Flames Raziel looked away quietly when Ame asked him if he could swim. "Well..... not really...." The truth was that before, he had never really wanted to learn how to swim, even though Koorie had tried to entice him into it. He was a bit embarrassed about it now, and had a really strong feeling Ame was going to make fun of it at him. [chainedfaye] "Oh. Well. I can't swim either. Though I'm guessing that it might be a good idea not to until my power is more under control. Imagine if my leg turned into a gemstone again while I was in the water." The thought rather amused her for some strange reason. "But you should learn. You want to? It might be fun. I'll stay in the shallow water though. " Kira of Flames Raziel thought about it for a bit, then smiled. "Maybe we should both practice together. We'll stay in the shallow ends for it." Grinning, he scooped up some water from a puddle and splashed Ame with it. [chainedfaye] Ame had started to nod when she suddenly found herself even more wet than before. "HEY" she cried out in anger, before she realized there wasn't any point in being mad, she was already soaked through from the rain. What was that saying? Don't get mad, get even? She hopped up and raced to the edge of the water, scooping her own handful of water up and flinging it towards Raziel. She didn't notice that the rain had started to taper off, the sun starting to peek through the still gray overcast sky. Kira of Flames Raziel grinned and started laughing more, then he turned and ran to the edge of the beach, cupping the water and splashing Ame back. Even if she was a bit of a bully, she was still his best friend. Of course, he wouldn't tell her that, not yet at least. [chainedfaye] Ame frowned. He wasn't supposed to splash her back again after she had just gotten even. She sat down in the water and started to use her legs to splash even more water on him. It was kinda fun though and she couldn't help the smile that started to spread across her face. Kira of Flames Raziel snickered and knelt into the water, getting splashed. He then started to scoop the water with his wings as well as with his hands, directing it to Ame. [chainedfaye] Not fair! Ame took a deep breathe and dove under water to hide from the splashing. And waited. Kira of Flames Raziel blinked, then ducked under the water as well, holding his breath and looking around in the underwater world for his friend. [chainedfaye] Ame had tried to move into a deeper area of the water but panicked when her feet couldn't touch the bottom anymore and struggled to come back ashore. She had planned to sneak up behind Raz and pull his legs out from under him, making him fall into the water and getting all wet. Her head came back above the water sputtering, shaking her pigtails, flinging water everywhere. She couldn't believe it - she was afraid of the water! Kira of Flames Raziel waded up to her, looking confused and worried. "Ame, are you alright?" He hadn't noticed that he was able to hold his breath longer than Ame could. [chainedfaye] Ame glared at him like her being afraid of the water was his fault. Well it was. She wouldn't have even gotten in the water if it was for him. She huffed and moved back to the beach to sit. "I'll watch from here" she told him, eying the water with distrust. Kira of Flames Raziel blinked, then shielded his eyes from the sun's glare on the water. That's when he finally realized that it wasn't raining anymore. "AME! The rain's stopped!" He had a large and mischievously grin on his face. "I have a really fun idea!" Concentrating, he managed to walk half way to Ame on the water, but the fell right into the water. Ok, he still was having problems controlling his power, but he was kind of getting used to it... [chainedfaye] Ame amused, couldn't help but laugh, not in a mean spirited way but friendly, more genuine. It was actually the firs time she had probably ever really laughed in such a manner. Despite her efforts to the contrary, Raziel annoyingly made her smile. She tried to hide this from him though, he already had a better power than hers even if he couldn't control it. She wouldn't let herself be weaker than him, and him making her smile was certainly a weakness!
She looked up to the sky. "Yeah, I guess it has. What?" she asked feigning indifference. She sorta missed the rain already. Kira of Flames Raziel spread his wings and pulled himself from the shallow water, hovering in the air. "Let's play a game of tag!" He dipped a foot into the water and kicked water at Ame, before fluttering his devil wings harder, rising a little higher in the air. "It'll be great practice for flying when we're older!" He smirked suddenly. "Unless, you're afraid I'll beat you." [chainedfaye] Ame had been about to refuse to play such a childish game when he said the magic words. She snorted. "Please? You beat me?" She knew she seemed confident but inside she was slightly afraid. She hadn't really been practicing flying very much, she could get everywhere she wanted just fine by walking. And flying well...wasn't really much of an option when random parts of your body suddenly turned into dead weight. At least not very high. But Raziel seemed like he was just hovering above the ground, she could certainly do that without fear of plummeting headfirst through the skies. She spread out her wings behind her, shaking off the last droplets of rain as she stood up.
"Fine then. You're it." With that she took off running, fluttering her wings lightly as she used them to glide, her feet just barely touched the ground. Kira of Flames Raziel grinned and took off after Ame, stumbling a bit over some rocks, but gaining his balance. He flapped his wings and ducked off into the forest, seemingly vanishing completely. He knew this part of the forest well, since Koorie had been having their little family live there; he knew where all the good hiding places would be to jump out at Ame and surprise her AND make her it. [chainedfaye] Ame turned her head to look back for Raziel, only to discover him quite disappeared. She stopped running her feet sinking back into the sand. Where had he gone? This was tag not hide and seek dang it! She looked around the empty beach a bit angrily. Was he trying to cheat?! "Raziel" the girl called out.

Kira of Flames Raziel watched Ame from the shadows, a grin spreading across his face. Stretching his wings out a bit, he figured he'd wait until she really wasn't expecting him before he tagged her. It would make the victory all the more sweeter. [chainedfaye] Ame plopped down into the sand, pouting, her arms crossed against her chest. This was not how you played tag! Glowering around she looked for any trace of the turquoise blue demon boy, preparing to give him the tongue lashing of the decade for, as she considered it, abandoning her. Kira of Flames Raziel silently tied a vine to his waist, directly above Ame. He then tied the other end of the vine to the branch he was on, and jumped down in front of her, hanging upside down. "You're it!" He shouted out as he touched her nose, a big grin on his face. [chainedfaye] Ame jumped a bit startled at suddenly being attacked by this shadow. She had let her guard down, feeling secure enough around Raz to do so. But her instincts took control quickly and, pulling her arm back as far as she could to gain power, she punched the shadow right in the face, sending it flying back, swinging on the vine it was attached to. mere seconds after, it's words sunk into her, and she realized exactly who the shadow had been. Crap! Kira of Flames Raziel bit down a cry of pain; boys don't cry in pain, he reminded himself. Ame certainly had a good hook, and he smashed into some bushes, the vine snapping and coiling down on top of him. He didn't know which was hurting more, right now, his face or his pride. [chainedfaye] "Raziel!!" Ame cried out, her concern showing as she used his full name instead of the nickname that had somehow evolved. Jumping up she raced in the direction he had swung off in. She cast her eyes around for him, but he blended in with the forest all too. Some small movement must have betrayed his position though for she could suddenly see him, almost as if he materialized out of the air right in front of her eyes. He seemed to be lying prone on the ground and her first thought was 'Oh my guardians, I killed him!' crying out his name again she hurried over to him. She crouched done beside him, and, still fearful that he was dead, started to shake him. "Raziel, wake up! You can't be dead, wake up!" Kira of Flames Raziel let out a very pained moan, pushing Ame's hands off him. "For the love of the Guardians, stop shaking me, Ame. Geeze you have one heck of a hook." Slowly, he sat up, rubbing where Ame had him him tenderly. Due to his skin's color, the bruise wasn't extremely noticeable, but the area was turning a darker shade. "Had I known you would sucker-punch me like that, I would have been ready to block it...." [chainedfaye] Mixed emotions ran through Ame. Pride at the compliment of her strength, guilt at hurting him. She hadn't meant to, it was just a reaction. She stopped shaking him, watching him carefully, and hovering close as he sat up, wanting to make sure he was really ok. She was just about to apologize when...
"Wait a minute! If I'd known you were going to jump out of the sky at me I wouldn't have hit you!" She pushed him away from her and rose to her feet, arms crossing her chest as her temper flared and she glared down at him furiously. This was not her fault!
She was practically growling at Raziel. What was wrong with him! A minute ago she had felt like a little girl being told off by her father, something which it seemed Raziel could only make her feel, and then he had to go and open his big mouth. She had even thought of saying sorry and taking him home and taking care of him but ... oooh she should just punch him again! She wanted to storm off and leave him here, but he was hurt...what if he had a concussion or something? She nibbled on her bottom lip...alright well she couldn't just leave him here no matter how much she wanted to.
But guardians help him if he said something stupid again! Kira of Flames Raziel blinked, totally confused now. He had no idea what he had done to make the mood change. First Ame had been all concerned, and now she was upset at him again? What had he done wrong this time?
A little pissed himself, he stood up and dusted himself off, frowning. Without another word, he marched off, having his own silent version of a temper tantrum. In short, he was socially inept and had no idea what to do and wanted an escape. [chainedfaye] The girl blinked as she watched her best friend storm away. Now what!?! What was he angry about! She was the one having the temper tantrum not him! Ame stomped her foot pouting, before realizing that he really was walking off and leaving her and the guilt returned. She'd better make sure he made it to where ever he was headed safely.
With a sigh, she raced after him catching up quickly. The girl didn't say anything to him, if he didn't want to talk that was fine with her! She just followed a step behind him, walking in silence.

Early July, 2007
Seiana_ZI The typical days of Telrunya Isle had returned. It was now safe to resume exploring the outdoors, but Esmée really didn't feel like walking outside at the moment. The Pae'il Headquarters had so much to do! She had followed her brother to the beach under her mother's orders, but after she did so, Esmée banned herself from ever going outside again, at least for the next few weeks. There was so much she had not discovered yet!
"So, Fernand," Esmée turned her attention to her penguin familiar. He just stared back at her. "What shall we do today?"
The penguin seemed to shrug before waddling off into the next room. Esmée followed in close pursuit, figuring that her familiar did have an idea. Indeed, he did. "Esmée," he informed her, "we have not visited this part of the vast headquarters as of yet."
Only the familiar of a genius like Esmée would talk like that. "Excellent! Let's explore then, shall we?" Completely ignorant of anyone or anything else in the room, Esmée started scrounging through everything she saw. [chainedfaye]
Amethyst was bored out of her mind. She idly wandered around the island not knowing what to do next and truthfully not even caring as long as it filled the endless hours that seemed to plague her. Her only friend (and amusement) had seemed to disappear along with the rain. She sighed in frustration as she stepped out of the forest she called home. The massive building of the HQ rose above the horizon and she paused debating with herself. She hadn't been since she was a toddler and though she had been young, she'd never forget the scrumptious assortment of goodies Polgara had whipped up for her. She'd been avoiding the building since then, there were normally too many Pae around. But would there still be on a nice sunny day such as this one, and after such a long bout of rain too? She hoped not. With another sigh, this time of resignation, she headed towards the building. Maybe she would get lucky and run into Polgara again.
It appeared her guess was right she thought happily as she entered the building and looked around. It appeared no one else was here. She wandered to the kitchen and much to her delight discovered a plate of brownies sitting on the counter. Amethyst had just been about to take a bite when the first of the sounds reached her ears. Hastily, she turned around ready to defend her brownies only to discover no one was there. The sounds were coming from farther away down the hall. This would require investigation she mused as she took a bite out of her goodie. The taste of decadent chocolate filled her mouth. Oooh it had been too long since her last chocolate binge. Grabbing the plate to take with her, she headed down the hall to follow the sounds. They led her to a room which seemed heaped with strange curiosities, including trunks overflowing with all sorts of various clothes and costumes. And in the middle of it all, digging through the piles, was a purple colored angel girl. And a penguin. How weird Ame though as stared at the penguin a moment before speaking.
"You're making an awful lot of noise you know."
Seiana_ZI At first, the angel girl completely ignored Amethyst. Sure, she heard the voice, but there was no point in answering when there were so many mystical things littering the room. Why did she care if she was making noise? Cacophony was a natural part of nature, was it not? There would always be noise, and sometimes, there would be a lot of concentrated noise in the same area. So, indeed, the ignorant Esmée continued her exploration of the room.
Ah! This costume was one of a knight! Esmée loved the knights of old, though she stubbornly refused to admit it--mainly because Criofan thought knights were cool. Knights were instantly "uncool" according to popularity standards if males liked them, right? ...Okay, so she had a tendency to over analyze everything. Looking around secretively, she plucked the costume out and decided to try it on. It wouldn't hurt, right? It was just a costume and only her familiar was around.
Except there was still someone else in the room. "Esmée," the penguin chided, lifting a wing to point at the new, darker purple arrival, "You do have company, and I advise you to not ignore it." Afterwards, he gave her a poke in the shoulder to make sure she was paying attention to him.
"Yes, Fernand..." Of course, the response to nothing probably seemed awkward as only she could hear what Fernand said, but Esmée didn't care. She lifted her head and turned around. "It's the noise of discovery! You're interrupting my exploration." She hardly cared if the other present was another child. Esmée was still going to speak in the same manner, whether the other girl present understood it or not! Fernand seemed to sigh, if penguins could sigh, but he did not bother arguing with Esmée--the effort was useless. [chainedfaye] Ame rose an eyebrow. "You're rather stuck up aren't you?" Despite her retort, she moved into the room anyway, and started to look around at the costumes herself, digging through the piles. "What is this place?" She'd explored the island fairly thoroughly so this had to be HQ but it didn't look anything like Alaera had told them. And she never said anything about a room full of costumes. Noticing a box overflowing with soft looking diaphanous fabric, Ame went over and pulled it out, examining it closely. It looked like a belly dancer's skirt, red with shimmering decorations that jingled as she moved it. She dug deeper and discovered the top, covered with bells and more flowing fabric draped off of it. She wasn't one to normally be impressed by such things but something about the outfit drew her. "Neat." Seiana_ZI How ridiculous this person was! How did they not know where they were? It was decently easy to figure out. After all, it was the main headquarters of the Pae'il. Pae'il and humans alike ran in and out of the place on most occasions, though it seemed to be more empty than usual today. She scoffed as Amethyst openly asked what place they were in, but Esmée would answer her anyway. "We are within the Pae'il Headquarters. This appears to be a room filled to the brim with costumes." Even if she was not trying to sound stuck-up, she always did. Esmée always sounded a bit haughty because of her present way of speaking; she used a form of elevated English.
She pulled on her knight costume, watching Amethyst carefully as she did. This woman needed to be watched carefully, even if Fernand tried to tell her that she should just leave the girl alone. [chainedfaye] Amethyst couldn't help but roll her eyes. "Obviously" she muttered under her breath. She watched the girl pull on the knight's armor, thinking as she did that if this girl was allowed to dress up, she could as well. She fingered the crimson red silk a bit more, thinking it would look lovely against her skin, before pulling it out and slipping the skimpy top over her head and then shimmy the skirt up.
Ame looked around the room, wondering for perhaps the first time ever how she appeared, for a mirror or some other sort of reflective surface. Finding one stashed rather haphazardly on a cluster of boxes on the other side of the room and (unfortunately the little girl thought with a grimace) quite close to the other occupant of the room (she quite plainly didn't count Fernand). She strode across the room, pushing the girl out of her way, in her attempt to reach the mirror. Seiana_ZI When shoved out the way, Esmée's eyes burned with fury. No one shoved her out of the way, not even her mother! The little girl had an intense hate of being pushed around, and now that this little girl was daring to do such a thing to her, Esmée determined that it was time to rid herself of the nuisance as quickly as possible. Ignoring all of Fernand's warnings against doing something so rash, Esmée pulled the helmet off her head and stormed after the girl.
"Who do you believe yourself to be? Who?! You are certainly nothing worth of ever touching my body," snapped the haughty little girl, pushing her fist out in an attempt to hit the other child in the back. Fernand cringed, if penguins could do so, and decided to waddle in their direction before Esmée or Amethyst became too infuriated. Unfortunately, the haughty one may have already been too annoyed... [chainedfaye] Ame turned back to the girl with a 'Hmpf' and looked her over. "Well, from the looks of things, you're a knight and I'm a Sultaness. " She gave Esmee a haughty look, as she pointed to her. "Which means you have to protect me." She trailed off, seeing the green scaled head of a dragon sticking out of one of the boxes of costumes. Bending over to dug it out and added "from the evil dragon." Her finger swung in the direction of the penguin waddling closer to them. Seiana_ZI Esmée scoffed, turning away from the woman who dared call herself a sultaness, and therefore, made herself 'better' than Esmée even though she clearly was not. "I will not protect you from anything! Idiots such as yourself deserve to not be protected! I, on the other hand, being brilliant intellectually, need all the protection I can get and then some. You should be taking orders from me, and not the other way around!" [chainedfaye] Ame threw down the dragon's head, her temper flaring. "Guardians, what the hell is your problem? You think you're so high and mighty and oh-so-smart. Get over yourself princess!" She ripped the costume off herself and threw the tattered remains at the girl.
"You know I was just trying to play dress-up with you! But evidently you're too smart to know a game when you see one. It's no wonder your only friend is a penguin! No one else can stand you stuck up ways! "
With that she stormed off, out of the room. She didn't know why she had even yelled at the girl, normally she would have just punched her and left. But she had resisted hurting the girl. Perhaps Raziel was having more influence on her behavior then she thought...No. It couldn't be that. She just had wanted to bring the girl down a peg or two. And you couldn't do that by just hitting. Ok well you could but...oh nevermind! Grr! Ame fumed.
What a waste of a morning! Gods, that girl just pisses me off. Next time I see her I might not be able to resist punching her right in the face. Would serve her right too!
