Roxas shifted uncomfortably in his oversized chair. you'd think they could have at least put cushions or something in them, but then, comfort had never seemed uppermost in the mind of the organization, from what he could remember. He cocked his head, glancing around at the others, eyes resting briefly on Axel, though long enough to catch the smile of half-remembered former days that graced the other audio's features. There was a connection there, something shared, a bond that Roxas wanted dearly to find again, but something in the back of his mind kept trying to tell him it was his own fault things hadn't worked out.

If only he hadn't been so selfish, then...then...what? It slipped away again, as always, replaced by faces of people he didn't know, memories that weren't really his.

Roxas sighed and let his legs slip forward, dangling his feet off the end of the chair. He examined the palm of his glove, the wear lines in the leather from clenching and unclenching his fist. He knew most of the others had regained some, if not all, of their memories. that's one of the reasons they were here, because they remembered what they were supposed to be looking for. Would finding his heart help him remember who he really was? He didn't think it was such a good idea, either way. There was a reason they'd become nobodies. Why would anybody willingly want to go back to feeling?

His fist clenched and he felt the muscles along his spine tense as he watched Saix and Demyx take the seats that had formerly belonged to their leader and his second in command. He had never much cared for Xemnas, but somehow Saix in the high seat seemed even more foreboding.

It was true: the thrones had changed, the positions had changed, but other than that, nothing at all.

Xaldin shrugged. "I listened to the Superior because he lead us with purpose. I shall listen to you for the same time being." And yet that impatient twinge that clenched his stomach. Would they ever truly achieve their goal? What their goal was was already becoming vague, a blackness settling over, eating up the remainder of their memories.

He voiced the opinion. "I hope, then as the new 'Superior' you can take charge at once. The nothingness will eat us if all we do is idle".

Not to mention the looks of uncertainty among other members. He knew there was a long and hard road ahead. Not that it mattered; he always dealt with it in the same detached way.

So, finally something to do. The angelic and demonic's of the group decided to reorganize the 13.

"As long as we move forward towards our goal ill follow whomever takes the title 'superior.'" Snorting once at the 'wardrobe' comment from Larxene right beside him, the graceful assassin went silent once again. Afterall, the different coloration on saix's coat was fit to match Xemnas's old B&W one.

Saix also seemed to have already gotten into the 'holier then thow' personality quite quickly, fitting for a leader? Or fitting for a fool?

Lexaeus's stony features gave no indication of how he took the announcement. It appeared as though the event had sparked any emotion at all, and perhaps it hadn't. There would be no use for emotions in this context.

He simply listened to the other members, noting their reactions without stating any opinions of his own. Only under close scruitiny would it be possible to pick up on little details that suggested he could have an opinion of his own on the matter, such as the way his head bowed a fraction in thought, or the press of his lips that indicated he was well aware of the potential implications of this meeting. If everything ran smoothly, he believed those implications would be slight. Ideally Saix would step up to fill the leadership position without a hitch, and things could progress as they once did. If not, then there was more to be considered at a later date.

With the barest turn of his head he glanced over at the organization members who had not yet spoken, waiting for their reactions and opinions.

Whatever shock Vexen had felt at seeing Saix and Demyx so changed was kept hidden behind a smooth mask of passivity. Keeping his gaze fixed solely on the two winged ones, he listened. To his ears, it had almost sounded as if Saix was caught in a fit of near-religious fervor. Vexen, for the most part, didn't see much point to attempting to regain Kingdom Hearts. Clearly they'd all failed before. And just as clearly, he knew he'd been destroyed before, though he couldn't recall the exact details. So why court a second death that he might not be reborn once more from?

Still. Perhaps Saix and young Demyx's altered appearanes had given them some unique insight. Or perhaps it was all a madman's dream. Whichever, Saix was promising the return of somethign they all needed. A return to order and a goal.

"Well, I don't know much about recovering lost reports since I have no memories of how they became lost," he began, speaking quietly. "However, perhaps given enough time to research there might be duplicates archived within the library that I cuold recover. If not, I'm certain I could at least find my own notes and research as my own little contribution to the cause."

He listened to the other's words and smirked. "Saix my dear, we are no longer thirteen strong. Without the two of our fallen comrades we no longer can call ourselves that, unless you plan on cheating." He never chanced with numbers unless he knew the odds to their end. Using a number that powerful without the full ranks was just asking for trouble and it was trouble he didn't want to risk.

Kingdom Hearts had failed them once and since they seemed to be living fine without it he was in no rush to scramble for it again. Xemnas had failed in his attempts and while Saix had generally been rather good his job he wasn't sure he trusted the now demonic one to actually accomplish their original goal.

He sniffed and leaned back in his chair. So Saix had decided to finally take it upon himself to take over and he was letting Demyx help. Either he'd gone senile finally or whatever gave Demyx those wings must have shaken his brain into a working order. At least now Luxord and Demyx wouldn't be next to each other in the room and hopefully they wouldn't be able to spend as much time together.

The blond pervert deserved to have his play toy taken away for a while. Looking at Vexen as he spoke he crossed his arms and grinned. The scientist at least was smart. They didn't know where anything was or what had happened to them before this. Lexaeus was silent as usual but the look on his face spoke volumes to the short Audio. He was at least paying attention and considering things.

Demyx second in command and Saix the new Superior?! The looks on the other's faces told Axel that this was news to them also. Surely they would all object, and yet no one had spoken against him. The realization came at once; they were afraid. They wouldn't stand up to Saix, they never had.

Axel tensed, emerald eyes glaring into the demonic audio once more. Once he spoke out against the other, there would be questions to answer. Who would fill the position better? Anyone would be better than Saix. He was cruel and treated them like dirt. Taking Demyx as his second in command?! Axel liked the boy, he really did, but the young sitarist was too timid to be a leader. Saix had chosen him because he would cow to any command the "Superior" gave him and keep the others in line so that none who cared for the boy would come against him for fear of hurting Demyx.

So who was left? His eyes scanned each chair, eliminating several almost immediately. Larxene wouldn't do. The sole female would have them all running to the store to buy her various female products. While the idea of Saix standing in a tampon aisle, fuming, was rather amusing, Axel couldn't imagine himself enjoyng the same position. He would never put Roxas in that position, of course, the boy was too young and vulnerable. Marluxia had potential, but for the fact that he might change the dress code to fuchsia with bright floral print.

The red-head sat back, his mind seething at the possibility that Saix might be the only choice. He could volunteer for the position, naturally, but who would rally behind a rebel? He had never desired to lead anyone, and he had no plan to offer the Organization better than the diviner's. His lips remained sealed, his expression one of anger and indecision. What could he do?

Saix smiled again. "As expected some of you are wary of the situation, and I have made a simple plan for this. You quite frankly, don't have a choice in the matter anymore. You were summoned, you had a choice in not coming, now that you are here, you have made clear what you want. Your actions have spoken where your words would have betrayed not only you, but your fellow members." Drumming his fingers on the edge of his chair, the comment from Luxord made his grin that more devilish, his eyes moved to the gambler and he spoke again. "Another expected statement, you're tells are becoming more and more obvious Luxord. There is yet another simple solution to this. We are obviously not alone in our quest, thus we must find replacements for what we have lost. I am going to assign Vexen, Lexaeus, and Zexion to the task of finding these two. You three have proven to work well together in the past, my faith lies with you in this task. Everyone shall keep an eye out for supposed nobodies while searching for the lost reports though, understood?"

"S-saix?..."

Demyx's ears flattened back, the youth sincerely hoping their new Superior wouldn't take his words as an interruption. Something in his mind told him to quit worrying. He was second in command now...he was supposed to report things to Saix and as long as it wasn't something random and silly he should be glad to hear it. Yet, such thoughts still got replaced with the timidness the sitarist was always filled with. Axel was right, he wasn't good in leader type position.

"I um...I f-found this?"

The youth held the piece of paper up so Saix could see it clearly.

"I think it's one of the r-reports? I remember Xigbar had one long ago...but he k-kept it hidden and didn't show Supe---um...Xemnas."

Right, no need to call him Superior anymore. Xemnas was, as far as they knew, gone for good.

Vexen's eyes darted from side to side, watching Zexion and Lexaeus for their reactions to Saix's little directive. Find two new members? Somehow, the scholar thought it was likely going to be a lot more difficult to find two new nobodies than Saix thought. But one never knew, did one?

Giving the Berserker a nod, Vexen slid from his chair.

"Of ciurse, Saix. We'll begin searching immedioately."

"Find two new members?" Larxene echoed, tail still swishing. "Couldn't we just find suitable candidates and ... push the hearts out of them?" she asked, emphasizing the 'push' with a flick of her tail. "That actually sounds fun ... removing hearts. Vexyyyy," she cooed, "take pictures for me?"

She wasn't inclined to speak out against their new self-imposed leaders; principally because she assumed they'd fail like the two before them. But at least there'd be something with which to amuse herself again for a while. The female smirked at Demyx's offer to Saix. Oh yes, this would be amusing.

Larxene, being one of the newer members, did not realise the problem here. "Superior' ,if you must be called that, the odds of creating a nobody, lest a functional nobody with enough powers is very slim. You were not there as an original scientist back under Xehanort's mistakes, but to actually find a nobody worthy of an organisation member is akin to trying to find a new keyblade master: they are both dying breeds that possibly can never be created again, with the current odds. Simply put, it is almost scientifically impossibly to force or find any random person to be like that, it would be a waste of time; IV, V, and VI all know this result."

A pause.

"So I propose, while one branch of us tries to find nobodies, and lost reports, why not the others try to find those worthy of the potential of becoming a nobody?"

It was a long winded speech, but as an 'senior' of the original group, he had to give his input. Too much time had been invested already into their goal, and the last thing he wanted to do was loose it, especially when the not-memories prevailed over his last bits of straggling memories, tempting to complete him. Into a void of nothigness, lost forever.

It was the part that told him not to care, and it showed in his forever scowling, craggen face.

Axel's claws bit into the throne as Saix drummed on about his plans. Even if Saix became the new Superior, the fire-wielder having thought of no viable objections the others would accept, there was no way he would be taking the diviner's orders! And if the scarred one even thought of laying a hand on Roxas, he'd have a chakram shoved so far up his a--! But what about Demyx? Would there be any way to help the youth? Maybe the red-head could pull him aside later and have a chat. The fire-wielder's gaze came to rest on the young sitarist, mind racing to find the proper words to use on the youth. He'd have to be careful if he didn't want to upset him.

Roxas stifled a laugh behind his gloved paw. They'd had a choice of whether or not to come? That was some kind of joke, right? As if Saix wouldn't have hunted each and every one of them down if they had chosen to desert their new 'superior'. The only reason he wasn't out looking for Xemnas was because he had allready grown too fond of the power being in charge afforded him over the others. If anything, the leadership should have travelled down the ranks, landing on Xaldin's shoulders, not those of the berserker. Xemnas would never have left him in charge if he'd had the choice of the matter.

The young audio drew his legs up into his chair and eyed Demyx as he held up the report. The poor guy, he seemed more afraid of Saix than like someone who should be on almost equal ground with the new leader. Roxas knew Axel wouldn't stand for it. That was something about the redhead. He could seem aloof and uncaring, but for someone without a heart, he did take care of the people he'd grown attached to.

"Um.." Roxas licked his lips and leaned forward, elbows on his knees. "What if...the nobodies we find don't want to join us?" He drew hsi ears back and cringed, waiting for the verbal blow that would come from questioning Saix. He didn't want to be here, so why should he think that any wanderign nobodies they found on their travels would want to be here either? "I mean...there's always that chance, right?"

Demyx didnt seem to have changed personality wise, even though his apearance was now different. He seemed to be flakey... and innocent. Demyx being second in command seemed to be a perfect strategy for Saix to control him. Indeed, things where getting interesting...

Raising a eyebrow at saix started to bark the orders, he noticed that the berserker was only mentioning what a few should do. What should the rest of them do... sit around and twiddle there thumbs?

"I dont think they would hesitate to join us. Besides the fact that all us nobodies crave the same thing, but i also have a feeling Vexen, Lexaeus, and Zexion wouldnt just ask any tom d**k or harry that comes around." Aka, he meant that would choose the best candidates... and those whom would join without a doubt.

As the beserker once said, the nobodies follow whom is the strongest.
