Glad to hear that he wouldn't mind Rohirrim around - though she wasn't too sure he wouldn't change his mind after meeting the childish malu - her smile broadened once again as she laughed, "They hardly understood and are most assuredly waiting for their next opportunity at me. They'll be heartbroken when they see our pups." She laughed softly, her gaze wandering over the scenery as the silence spread out between them. When he spoke again, her eyes flitted back to him and she didn't pause to respond, "The more the merrier. I wouldn't mind a large litter, but I would hardly be disappointed by one. Still, a good large number would be very enjoyable."

He listened to her laugh for a moment before joining in. It was a beautiful sound, almost musical in some ways, forcing a smile onto his face. "We'll have to send them some fruit as an apology gift." His eyes were bright with the pleasure of jokes, and remained that way while he spoke of the more serious matter they were discussing. "A large group would be nice, yes..." He trailed off, imagining the attention a large litter would cry for. First time parents might have a bit of trouble handling that, and he worried for his mate for a moment. What if they did have a large group, so large that it became stressful. Then again, why would Midori every find their own children so stressful that she was unhappy. He was comforted by the thought, and cast his gaze out over the dimmly lit brooke. It was almost time now for the water to glow in the moonlight.

The worries of a large litter had only been a quickly dismissed thought in the maluess' mind. She enjoyed the idea as once the pups were a little bit older, they could assist in the raising by giving each other playmates. She would prefer atleast two. Growing up an only pup was no picnic, and she didn't want to have her own pup be so alone. True, Rohirrim would be near as a playmate, but nothing could replace a sibling. Smiling at the thought of pups, she cast her gaze over the area around them. Her ears perked suddenly as she noticed the stream begin to glitter by the light of the moon, the sun still lighting a slim slip of the horizon so that it glowed purple and pink. Her red eyes darted to Gustave, wondering if this was why he had chosen this spot. The light show after dark.

Looking up at the painted sky, and then back to the sparkling waters, Gustave smiled. "And now, it starts." He hoped she would enjoy the after dinner presentation of light and water, seeing as he found it nearly as gorgeous as she was. The fading light and the particularly good view from their location made for an excellent sunset. The moon would soon take over, taking the glittered stream up to a pale glow, both eerie and beautiful. It would be a ghostly show, something that did not belong in this world, yet here it was, as if made for young lovers like them. His eyes drifted to Midori's profile with a smile, glad he could see this all with her. He was taken over by a wave of affection, and scooted his body closer to touch hers. Making little of it, however, he looked back at the horizon with a glint in his eye.

Her body's only recognition of his closeness was a shiver of relieved comfort that slid easily down her spine, shielded in affection and warmth. The maluess' deep scarlet eyes took in the beginning art of the night, the moonlight toying with the fog and the stream as if millions of flying fish were taking to the air. It was calming and exhilerating at the same time, causing her gaze to glitter with appreciation. She glanced at the male excitedly before returning her attention to the sight he had saved for her, had neglected to mention so that the surprise beginning would be all that more sweeter. It was the perfect end to the night and the perfect milestone in a blossoming relationship.
