[Nah, totally not. 8D You can just PM the owners, since I can't remember who they be, and they can join in <3]As soon as Ithi cried out in pain, Ny knew what the problem was. It hadn't been long since she'd given birth to cubs of her own (and she had also witnessed the birth of the cubs of her two best friends) so she recognised the signs. It surprised her; though she could tell Ithi was close to her time, she hadn't truly expected it to be... well... right now. Hadn't honestly expected them to arrive for a while. Though... perhaps that was because a part of her didn't want to see the results of what that monster had done to Ithi. Ithi's cubs would always be her brothers and sisters, regardless of blood, and so she would love them unconditionally for that, but seeing the living, breathing evidence of that foul brute's harm to her family was revolting on some level.
But regardless of what she thought, the thing that mattered most right now was helping Ithi. With how week and tired she looked, Ny had to wonder if her mother would be... all right. She couldn't bear to lose Ithi, not after all that had happened. Not yet. She was determined to help Ithibati through this, whatever it took.
She moved forward, pressing her head comfortably against her mother's neck, nuzzling gently, doing all that she really could at this moment: comfort Ithi through the pain. Silently, she just let her presence be there as a form of reassurance, if that's what it was to Ithi in these painful moments.

Ithi started breathing fast, maybe it was because she was in such an unhealthy state but whatever the reason this wasn't going to be a long labour.
She was grateful that Ny was so close and keeping with her, it was as if Denge was there too and no matter what it seemed to make Ithi feel calmer as the first cub started to appear. Her breathing though got rougher and harsher. She was finding it hard to breath and she didn't have the strength to push the cub out.
She let out a loud roar like sound and then she pushed. The first cub came out easy enough though it wasn't healthy, it was small and thin and showed no sign of pink on it anwhere. It made Ithi smile. She had birthed a cub fathered by Nyek that had no pink on it anywhere.
Sh stretched her neck to lick its small body but couldn't reach and the next wave of pain hit her so suddenly that she didn't have time to even wash it or check the little thing was alive.
"Ny..." She tried to point at the cub. If Ny wanted to help she needed to clean the cubs as they came out. Ithi knew that it would mean that Ny's scent would be the one that the cubs got first which is what normally would be the scent of their mother.

Ny could only watch, of no real, physical help to Ithi and wishing it wasn't so, wishing she could help her mother through a pain she remembered well and was in no rush to repeat - not yet, anyway. It was too soon after the first time to consider such a thing for Ny.
But if she could help by cleaning the cubs as they came, Ny would. It pleased her that the little girl she gently pulled towards her had no pink on her fur. She was all Ithi's silver, and a black that Ny could deceive herself a little and think of as Denge's. That's how she wanted these cubs to be her sisters and brothers, depending on their genders, not because of Nyek.
Carefully, she ran her tongue over the little cub to clean the mess from her fur, taking note as she did of the cub's health and finding herself less than pleased. The little girl was thin and small; seems Ithi's decline had affected the cubs as well. With a frown, Ny settled the now clean cub against Ithi's side to take the first meal, suddenly worried not just for her mother, but for her siblings as well.

Ithi's next two cubs seemed to be fighting each other to get out causing Ithi more pain then necessary. Didn't they know they had to come out one at a time and not together!
The one that popped out showed pink but not too much it was mainly grey with a black stripe down its back, it appeared to have pink eye markings and pink stripes on the tail. The last bit of pink was on the hair at the end of her tail. She was beautiful just like the first. Ithi didn't have time to admire them though as the third cub was pushing its way out.
The last was the smallest of the three which seemed hard as all three cubs were small and thin. This one was the runt and looked the most like her father. She was white like the first but had pink all over her. It annoyed Ithi but she was the last and the runt.
Ithi didn't even look at her but the other two she did especially the one showing no pink what so ever. If she could she would take that one with her and bring it up on its own but she couldn't bear splitting them, they were all siblings.
"There they are...." She panted as she tried to talk.
"Denge should...be here." She closed her eyes and coughed a little before her head fell to the ground. She was exhausted and bringing those three cubs into the world had taken the last of her energy away.

The firstborn cub rested against Ithi's side, as if being born had been too hard a toll on her to even let instinct kick in and feed. She huddled against her mother's belly, her head moving slightly as she seemed to nuzzle at the fur that kept her warm. And although she really was quite warm, the cub gave a small shudder, before turning to bury her tiny head against her mother's fur with a small and helpless mewl. Although she didn't know it yet, couldn't have known it, she had already sensed a difference in her own existence. She knew that she was no longer where she had used to be, a little cramped and warm. She was somewhere else... and although she had no way of knowing it, the somewhere else scared her. She would have much preferred to return to where she had been, if she could have.
So the cub sat, her head turned to rest against Ithi's belly. Slowly, the notion of food seemed to be dawning on her. She pulled back slightly, and seemed to look about for whatever the food might have been, but it didn't take long for the newborn to give up, and simply crawl back to the warmth of the fur she had been sitting against.

Nyunya pulled the last two arrivals to her, to settle between her paws and clean thoroughly, her mind slowly being eaten by a growing turmoil of thoughts. The shocks of the day were beginning to catch up with her; the numbness was wearing off, and a growing dread was settling in in its place. Hearing her mother's name, and then lifting her head to see Ithi pass out, broke the dam a bit. Tears sprung to her eyes, fear tightened her throat, and leaving the cubs where they sat on the ground, she moved quickly to Ithi's side. She nudged her mother's cheek first gently, then firmer, trying to get a response. When she got nothing, she began to get desperate, tears wetting her cheeks as she lowered her head to the floor of the den right in front of Ithi's nose and mouth. She almost fainted with relief when she felt breath, faint though it might be, drying the wetness on her cheek. She wanted to stay like that, close to her mother and making sure she was... all right as she could be, but the cubs needed her, she reminded herself.
Reluctantly she got to her feet, sniffling to herself to drive off the tears that wanted to flood down her face, trying to save it for a more convenient time. She first picked up the smallest and most pink of the cubs, the runt and the one that made her think most of Nyekundu, to set it beside the first. Doing the same with the other, she arranged her three sisters... daughters... side by side, nudging Ithi's belly gently around to try and help the newborns find the food they so desperately needed, being so unhealthy and undersized.

Ithi could feel Ny near her but she hadn't the energy to get up or move. She was exhausted and it seemed her body had decided to sleep for a while.
She could feel her cubs being moved closer to her and them trying to suckle for the first time, she felt their small weak breaths against her body. She had felt Ny's tears on her head and everything seemed so depressing and nothing seemed to be ok.
She tried to move again but nothing was allowing her to do what she wished to she laid there helpless wishing to be the one to comfort Denge's daughter. However odd it was, Ithi was now related to Ny, she had birthed cubs with the same blood in them as Ny had in her.
Ithi managed to pull a smile on her face but it was the only moment she could manage, she just needed to let her body rest and then she could see her cubs again properly.

Nyunya couldn't stop herself sniffling and crying now that she had started, but she kept it as quiet as she could. She didn't want to disturb Ithi or the cubs, but nor could she bring herself to leave them on their own and go somewhere she could let her frustration out. More than anything, she actually wanted to find her mate so she could just press herself into his warmth and let it all out, but this was a big land and there was just no way to know where he was.
She settled her small body down on the other side of the cubs to keep them warm and secure, shifting her head so that it lay beside Ithi, damp cheek pressed into her mother's fur. Closing her eyes seemed to help slow the flow of tears, but they didn't stop completely. Too much had happened to stop the flood completely now that the dam had cracked. She just hoped all the tears came out this way, instead of the dam breaking entirely.

((-wonders if she should wait for Artsy or Kasai to post- Hm...))
The cub felt the body of another pressed up against herself and the other cubs, which she knew instinctively were her siblings, and she felt the warmth of two combine, and felt life flowing through her - a life she had not felt for the first minutes of her life. And suddenly something clicked within her, and the gray cub finally began to suckle.
She was completely unaware of sorrow that raged on around herself and her two sisters, being as blind and deaf as all cubs are when they are born. She fed with an energy that did not seem to suit her frail form, with a ravenous hunger that had seemed to dawn on her suddenly, as if being born had completely famished her.
