"No threat..." he repeated once more, just as the mare moved herself close to him once again. He raised an eyebrow at Thera's sudden aggressive behavior, surprised, amused, and somewhat alarmed. He would never admit that he was already considered low amongst the low, and while she continued her ranting, he considered a few options as her words poured in through his ears. Come of think of it... She, an alicorn, had a small amount of healing ability, did she not? Strangely, the thought that had just occurred to him made him wonder why it hadn't occurred before. All the while he thought, the mare threw her words at him, her face so close he could have either snapped at her and ripped her apart for daring to enter his personal space or even kissed her.

He paused.

Kissed her? Where in the name of Hell did that come from? Bemused at the thought, the powerful stallion allowed the mare to continue her rant, waiting till she finished. She seemed to enjoy putting herself in danger... ah, this was almost too much. Amusing as all of this was, the mare was putting unusual behavior and, as she put it, Heaven forbid emotions he did not wish to have. Were all his kind that ignorant, as she claimed? Were they all mindless killers, in her eyes? At the word "trickery", his head snapped up, a soft snarl on his lips. "You dare to think I would trick you? A warrior I am, strong, powerful, and a Kalona I may be, but for one such as I, I would not lower myself to resorting tricks." Such a foul accusation!

...As a thought to note for later, he had noticed he had gone from being unamused to amused to unamused once more. This mare surely made his emotions race intensely. It was unfortunate that he was weak against healing power, as one like him with such demonic aura could be severely injured from the "holy" power the alicorns and unicorns emitted. This time, he did not move, instead choosing to stay where he was, allowing the mare to shove herself into his much needed personal space. Why did this create an odd sensation...? No! He would not allow himself to fall weak and be betrayed again... This mare...! He held back an angered snarl as he tried to compose himself, trying with difficulty to not desire her blood and her flesh. It was enticing to him, how her anger made her blood pulse crazily throughout her body... it made him want to taste her suddenly, and such disorientation would not be good for him, should the desire continue to climate as it was.

"Thera," he managed to bite out in what he hoped (he was hoping?!) to be somewhat a polite tone, "...if you kindly would remove yourself from being this close to myself--as I tire from removing myself away from your own personal space--it may help me... regain... control..." Why was he bothering to even ask her to move? His inner demon was rampaging--or at least, it was beginning to show itself--and the beginnings of the bloodwrath were making itself known. He had, at that point, closed his swirling scarlet eyes, his glistening fangs beginning to show themselves more and more as he opened his mouth with every passing breath.

Why... why... why was all this happening? He had had perfect control... and now, now he was slowly losing his perfect control! This was what had made him a ruthless leader, long, long ago; this was why he had been praised as a powerful Kalona warrior... before it had been broken... before he had been betrayed... Memories of a time from long ago he had thought to have buried away began to surface, the mare in front of him blurring into another mare he had, ages before, cared deeply for and yet infuriatingly hated. At that moment, with a loud growl, he moved his head into a headbutt, aiming to shove the mare away from his vision. The inner demon, suppressed so "gallantly" before, eagerly broke its cage.

With a gasp, only one word escaped from him.

"...Run...!"

He had lost control so easily...
