Ukiuki appeared to be hiding through Kana's front bangs. Even though she wasn't quite the same shade of pink, she could usually go off as not being there at all if people didn't know. From her comfortable spot, she could see Allani watching her. The pink pala wasn't upset, or mad at all. She was just confused and slightly scared. She feared that anyone would ever come to disliked her. She didn't want that. So instead of being disliked by someone, she would rather stay far and not make contact.
Kana observed Xennik with a curious look on her face. Gently she pushed her glasses back to their original position and smiled cutely once the man before her looked up. Once she figured out what he was about to ask, her cheeks turned bright pink. She was about to answer yes, when she realized she had actually promised to Jaenelle that she was going to bake some cupcakes for her on friday night. "Oh I..." she started, looking down at her crossed hands in front of her. She hesitated for a moment. "I have plans for friday night already." said Kana, with a tone of sadness in her voice. "Though..." she started. "I'm free on Sunday afternoon... if you like." With that, her blue eyes looked up to meet with Xennik's, as a shy smile curved her light pink lips.

What am I doing?! Xennik thought wildly. Asking for a date? Why? He'd barely just learned her name! And sure, she was attractive. Very attractive, actually. But still. What must she think of him? Remarkably, the man managed to keep his composure, and smiled beautifully at her, calmly meeting her gaze with his own despite how fast his heart was suddenly pounding. And maybe his grin was a little too wide - a sign that he was embarrassed, but perhaps recognized only by those who knew him very well.
"Grand." He grinned. "Perhaps we could...continue this discussion then?" He asked, trying not to be too flustered. He was usually good with the opposite sex. He didn't date often, perhaps part of the reason...
But it wasn't exactly a date. No, it was just...a relocation of their discussion. Unless she wanted it to be...
He turned away, setting Allani down on the counter and busying himself with gathering up his stuff so she couldn't see the blush that had taken over and was now flaring across his comely face.
Allani watched the on-goings with a curious expression on her face, not grasping quite what was going on, but figuring that it couldn't be that bad. Not as bad as HER Xennik kissing the pink-haired girl's hand... "You're blushing." She announced almost accusingly, loud enough for Kana to easily hear, which just caused her usually oblivious-to-things-like-this guardian to blush even more deeply.
He might as well climb into a hole somewhere and die.

It was the first time Kana actually wanted to go on a date with someone. It had happened for her to like other men in the past, and even to fall in love and have relationships with some of them. But she had never gone into a proper date. Less even did she ever accept to date someone she had just barely met. Well this was going to get very interesting. She smiled back to his grin and nodded. "Sure. We can discuss some more on Sunday..." she said.
Ukiuki blinked and stared from Kana to Xennik a few times. She was confused. It was obvious that something was going on between the two of them, and even though she had been listening carefully to their conversation, she didn't know what was going on. They were going to meet sometime during the coming weekend, but the pink pala didn't understand why they both looked shy and embarassed at the same time.
As Kana heard Allani tell Xennik he was blushing, she looked up at him with a slight surprise look on her face. But quickly, she shifted her gaze back down on her crossed hands, blushing even more. "Hmm. Well, I guess I should get going..." she said, trying to break the awkward silence. "I'll meet you in front of the store on Sunday afternoon, say..." she stopped talking for a second to think. "At 3pm?"

"Grand." Xennik had miraculously recovered, and now turned to smile his signature heart-melting Xennik-smile at the young lady he'd just asked on an impromptu date.
"Can I come?!" Allani piped up, fearful that Xennik might be planning on leaving her alone with Biwa and the boring babysitter-bot he hired when he could find no one else to watch them. Biwa was completely unapproachable as of late.
A look of thoughtful uncertainty came over Xennik's face, and Allani realized she'd have to fight a little harder. "I could come an' maybe play wif Yuki?" She said, large eyes glowing with hope. She wanted to be friends with Yuki. Especially if that meant she didn't have to stay home with Biwa.
Xennik bit his lip, looking from Allani to Kana, eyebrows raised slightly. He'd let her decide.

Kana smiled softly back at him, her heart warming up as her cheeks came back to their normal peach color. She was about to reply, but was interrupted by Allani.
As much as she didn't completely understand the situation, Ukiuki knew that Kana and Xennik wanted to spend sometime together, alone. Her eyes looked over at Xennik for a moment. He looked unsure and didn't answer to Allani's question right away. Now it was time for Ukiuki to save the day! She clapped her hands together with a cute smile on her face. "If itz okay with Xennik, Kana can bring Jaenelle and me to the Elderzpark on Sunday, and we can stay at the shop together! Or we can play around the forest. Jaenelle says it's very beautiful!!" she said.
Kana couldn't help but let out a short laughter. "I'm sure Jaenelle will like to show you two around the forest." she exclaimed with a nod. She then looked at Xennik, waiting to see what he was about to say.

"A FOREST?!" Allani squeaked in excitement, sitting up straighter. "Like an a'venture?!" Her eyes widened in awe. She always heard about a'venturing in forests. This would be so cool! "Yesyesyes!"
Xennik smiled -more like grinned- at Ukiuki. Once again she had helped him a great deal. "That sounds like a plan," he said warmly. "And it will be a learning experience for you two." He looked thoughtful. "This sounds like it might take a while. Perhaps we ought to bring some food and make a picnic of it?" His blue eyes went to Kana's face, to see her reaction, a small smile on his lips.
"PICNIC?!" Allani squealed. She wouldn't be able to relax for days at this rate, waiting for Sunday.

Ukiuki laughed in excitement and clapped her small hands together once more. "Yes! We can have a picnic!!" she said. All these plans now made her cheerful again, and she was happy to see that Allani looked to be just as excited as she was about all fo this.
Kana laughed softly, seeing the two palas getting overly excited about this coming Sunday. And the truth was, so was she. Xennik seemed to be a really nice young man, that she could probably trust and have a lot of fun with. She smiled and nodded at Xennik in agreement. "I can prepar the picnic, it wouldn't be a lot of work." she said. "What does Allani like to eat?" she asked, looking down at the mermaid pala.

Allani was dancing with excitement now, shifting her weight from one foot to the other on the counter on which she stood, her butterfly-coral wings flapping in her excitement and her antenna quivering. Xennik chuckled and scooped her into his arms. "That sounds fine with me." Again he smiled his heart-throb smile at the two girls. "We'd better get on our way. We'll see you Sunday, then?" He bowed with a charming flourish, dipping low enough to make the Pala in his arms squeal at the ride and the feather on his hat, which was a deep blue, to flop forward. Surprisingly, the hat didn't come off of his head.

Still sitting on her owner's shoulder, Ukiuki clapped her hands together along with the dancing Allani. It looked as if they were trying to make some sort of music. "I can help Kana cook! Yaayyy!" she said in a singing voice.
Kanashimii's cheeks flushed lightly as Xennik gave her his most handsome smile once more. She nodded in agreement once more. "See you on Sunday then..." she raised her hand to wave at them. Xennik then bowed and left the store with Allani in his arms. "Bai bai!!" exclaimed Ukiuki, waving her arm up high in the air.
"Well then, shall we stop by the grocery store on the way home?" asked Kana, looking at her beloved friend. "Ooh yess!! We can buy lots of yummy food for the picnic!" answered Ukiuki. Kana chuckled and nodded as they both left the Elderspark.
==========================================
Sunday sure had made itself waiting. But finally 3 o'clock came around and Kana had already packed the picnic in a basket with all the food she had prepared that same morning. Closing the door behind her, Kana looked up ahead for her two friends. Jaenelle and Ukiuki had already started making their way to the Elderspark. "Hurry up Kana!!" yelled Ukiuki, waving her hand in the air. The pala had taken her seat on Jaenelle's back. Jaenelle stopped walking for a minute, waiting for Kana to catch up. Once she reached her side, she re-started walking with her usual pace. "It was smelling very good this morning. What did you cook?" she asked, her pastel eyes looking up at her guardian.
"Hmm, lets see..." said Kana as she peaked inside the basket. "I made some rice balls, a few sandwiches. I also cut some pieces of cheese, with crackers, some fresh fruits." She then seemed to think for a moment. "But I think what you smelled this morning was the cupcakes I baked!" she said wih a smile. "Cupcakes!!!" exclaimed Ukiuki with her childish voice. Cupcakes were Ukiuki's favorite sweet treat. And of course, Kana had baked them on purpose. "All of this sounds so yummy! Ukiuki can't wait to taste everything..." The three of them soon arrived to the Elderspark with no sign of Xennik or Allani near by. "Phew! At least we didn't make them wait." said Kana with relief.

Of course something would make Xennik run late. Xennik was always just barely on time for anything, no matter what it was, but today he feared he might actually be late.
The problem; Biwa.
"Biwa, are you coming or staying?" Xennik asked, changing his shirt for the thousandth time.
Are you going to decide on what you're wearing? Biwa answered in thoughtspeak, not answering the question.
"Yes." Xennik said decisively. "I'm wearing this one."
No comment from the ever-helpful Kyuria.
"LetsgoletsgoletsGO!" Allani sang form the doorway, where she'd been pacing all day.
"Biwa?" Xennik asked, completing the adjustment of his shirt and pulling a red decorative vest on over the long-sleeved white shirt.
Biwa took his time replying. Yes. I'm coming. Someone has to make sure you don't get in trouble. Biwa's mood over the past few months had gone from depressed and thoughtful to bitter, and Xennik didn't miss the note of jealousy in his voice. He bit his lip. There really didn't seem to be any way to please Biwa.
"Then let's move," was all the magician said.
They managed to arrive, as usual, just before they could be considered late.
"Afternoon," Xennik greeted them pleasantly, nodding his head as they met up with the other group of three. The man's cheeks were flushed, his feather a deep blue.
Allani was already talking non-stop, jabbering on and on about how excited she was. Biwa stood to the side, observing. "I don't believe you've met Biwa." Xennik said, gesturing to the Kyuria.

As she noticed Xennik and his friends walk up to them, Kana smiled and waved at them. Ukiuki was still sitting on Jaenelle's back. Seeing Kana, waving at something, she looked up to see Xennik, Allani and a kyuria walked over. "Good afternooonnn!" she said in her usual, cheerful tone of voice. Though she quickly stopped herself and stared at the kyuria. "You look exactly like Suu!!" she said, pointing over at him. Kana smiled at Ukiuki. "Biwa is the same race as Suu, but they are not the same kyuria." she explained, smiling over at Biwa with a nod. That would usually be her manner saying 'Please to meet you!' "Hello! My name is Jaenelle... it's a pleasure to meet you all." She bowed her head respectfully.
"I have the picnic here!" said Kana, poiting at the basket hanging from her left arm. "If we can find a good spot for all of you, we can leave you to your adventure." she added, looking up at Xennik with a flushed look on her cheeks. Secretly, she hoped for them to nod without discussion, so that her and Xennik could go on their date, just the two of them. Though she didn't exactly know where or what they were going to do. As if reading in Kana's mind, Ukiuki jumped off from Jaenelle's back and floated near Kana, then towards the back of the Elderspark. "Thiz way!! Ukiuki will show you to the forest..."

Introductions thus over, the day could proceed.
"OKAY!" Allani practically shouted in her excitement, flying off after Yuki without even bothering to check in with Xennik first. He chuckled, shaking his head.
I suppose I'm supposed to go with them, then? Biwa asked, a little offended about Ukiuki's comment on how he looked exactly like something else. Hmmf. The untrained eye.

Ukiuki flew up ahead, looking back to make sure they were all following her. Allani had come close behind her, looking for a good spot around. They both inspected to area until Ukiuki stopped and yelled cheerfully, "Over here, over here!!" She flew closer to large tree and smiled to the sight. There was a small river a few feets away and the tree was large enough to provide shade for everyone to sit and eat comfortably. Everyone finally joined after a few seconds. "A view on a river! That's a perfect spot. Well done Uki!" exclaimed Jaenelle with a smile. Looking around, the snow leopard kyunru took a spot near the tree and sat down comfortably.
"This looks great indeed!" said Kana with a smile to Ukiuki. She gently put the basket near Jaenelle and took out a small blanket out of it. Unfolding it with care, she put it in the center for everyone to sit around and get going with the picnic. "Here you go. All set!" she said, content of how everything looked. "Allani and Ukiuki can take the time to take out the food. There's some rice balls, sandwiches, fruits, cheese, crackers and cupcakes for everyone!" she explained. The day was beautiful, therefore they shouldn't have to worry about rain falling or any kind of storm for that matter. "You guys enjoy your time here. Behave!" she said, looking over at the two palas. "You're free for a few hours while Xennik and I go around Baron Town!" With those words Kana took a hold of Xennik's arm and lead him away from their friends. "Have fun! We'll be waiting here for you to come back." said Jaenelle, winking at Kanashimii. "Baaii!" waved Ukiuki, before flying into the basket full of food to start taking everything out.

"Food!" Allani cried, exclaiming over everything that was pulled from the basket with excitement. Biwa shook his head, pretending not to be amused by the Pala's incessant chattering.
"Keep an eye on Allani, will you?" Xennik asked Biwa, his voice serious and a note of gravity in his eyes. Biwa nodded wordlessly, understanding Xennik's worry. Immediately Xennik relaxed.
The man was surprised, but pleasantly so, when Kana took his arm and led him off. Allani was too distracted to realize that her rival for Xennik's attention was now leading him away, so they managed to get away without any Allani-drama.

With flushed cheeks, Kana led Xennik out of the forest and back to the front of the Elderspark shop. Shyly looking up at the man standing next to her, a smirk grew on her face as a feeling of happyness warmed up her heart. Finally! Quality and alone time together with him. was all she could think off. At first when she had accepted to go on a date with him, she didn't think much of it. But the more time she spent thinking about it, the more she wanted to spend time with him. It felt so surreal to her to be feeling that way about someone she barely knew. She had always followed her instinct for as long as she could remember, for every possible situation she had been in. Though this time, her heart was guiding her.
"What would you like to do?" she said, dearing to break the silence between them. By then, she had let go of his arm. "I thought maybe we could go for a walk through Barton, if you want. It's the heart of Gaia, I find there's always more interesting things over there..." she suggested.
