Who did Who in the What Now?!
Why was it that all monsters seemed to want to live in horribly out of the way places? Honestly he would kill to have a pizza joint call him up and ask him to come in and take care of their problem. He would then be paid with a lifetime supply of pizza that would feed his three ravenous charges until they could get jobs of their own. The random mental complainings of Shin as he headed out to the middle of nowhere, an old farm from the looks of it. A couple had the place only to have their pets start disapearing, eaten from the sounds of it. He had at first thought it nothing until they explained that it wasn't Fluffy the cat or Woofy the dog that had vanished but instead a good amount of horses. Discovering this he had found himself a bit more interested though there was still the chance that it might be nothing more then coyote that were picking off the horses, all fenced in they made for easy prey. Then again coyote didn't carry their prey off with no sign left behind but a trail of blood.
Horses were what? A good ton of weight to be able to lift that and carry it off the thing would need the strength of a bulldozer and be about the size of one, "I'm getting to old for this." He murmured as he walked along, following the blood trail. It was old so it made it harder to follow, luckily for him the rains hadn't washed it away or he would have to bait the thing out with another horse. Not having to use that method meant that he could charge that much more, "Should charge by the pound." That would be a smart way of going about things. He would make a killing on jobs where he fought things the size of houses, could even retire off a few good kills. Again. He'd tried retiring once but with three damn kids...
He froze in place tilting his head to the side, sniffing at the air. He then looked back and forth, wait... he knew that scent. There was only one sort of beast that actually smelled good rather like some sort of incense. He gave a muttering curse, "Something poisonous of course and ******** creepy looking..." He told himself. There were nothing worse then Manticore. Part lion, part scorpion, complete pain in the a**... and to top it all off they had the face of a man. Made him feel weird when he struck one down because of that face, like he was killing a human. He shook his head, "Stop thinking that. They aren't human they are disgusting animals. Vicious ones that need taken care of." The speech he gave himself before each of his battles, to steel his nerves.
There was little time though to be truely prepare as suddenly the large form of the beast hit his side sending him sprawling a good fifteen feet. Shin laid there for a moment starring up at the blue sky above him, dazed... then rolled out of the way just before the beasts tail hit. His hands went for his knives, one at each of his sides. One of them was a dragon's fang while the other was the claw of a Chimera. Good weapons, sharp weapons, ones that had done the job many times over and would do so this time. He lunged up to his feet to face off against the thing, their eyes meeting and narrowing, "I should make a weapon of that tail of yours." It was covered in spines aside from being scorpion shaped, would make a damn good and very scary sort of sword. He wondered how long the venomous effect would last for on the spines? He gave a smirk as he flipped one knife over and sent it flying.
There was a sound that was halfway between a human like scream and a cat yowl as it sank into the beast's eye. Then its form hit his again, damn it they moved to fast. A cats agility and a wings to help speed them up that much more. Wings... so thats was how it was carrying off the horses he thought as he hit the ground again. He brought up the dragon's fang dagger going for the throat of the beast...
There was a huge gush of blood as he slash the thing open. He felt that moment of victory, of pride, of his ego overwhelming him. He'd done it again, the thing was dead... Then THUD... Shin gave a gurgling sound as the large barb met his chest, stabbing in and through. There was the crunch of bone, the popping of muscles, wettness of blood... and his world went hazy around the edge.
Oh Hell... he'd been so damn close to taking it too. He gave a cough then lifted his hands up, pulling out the barb... a stupid idea of course as that just made it worse. The beast stagger and collaped a few feet from him, dead. Just as it seemed that he would be shortly, "Damn Manticore... always were the worst to fight." He gurgled, then darkness overwhelmed his senses...
He'd have made it out of that alive in most cases. But this time, it had been determined that he was needed to be the guardian of yet another kid. This one being a reborn god. The spirits in control of this had had to pull on his reality to cause his death. But they made sure he was allowed to kill the monster first. That way when he returned he wouldn't risk dying again and losing the soul.
The teams of spirits began to pull his body and soul into their realm. The first of their jobs was to clean up and repair his body. That way when he woke up he wouldn't still have the marks of his death and no one outside of this place would know that he'd died. His clothing was also repaired and cleaned of the blood on it. That'd never make any sense. After that it was time to break into their teams of business to do specific jobs.
First off his soul and body had to be separated and taken by the two different groups. The one group of spirits specialized in things like putting his body in a bed on the Samadueanna, giving his information to the people on the ship so they could set a course for where he'd been, and of course allowing the Captain of the Ship to know she had someone else to explain this to.
Meanwhile his soul was taken to another plain. It was the realm where the souls of the deceased Tison gods resided. He had been taken there to bond with one. The bonding would connect the two souls so that when Shin got to return to his body his soul would drag the soul of the god that had chosen him along with it. Neither he nor the god when they became alive would remember this but it had happened. The spirits in charge of this did snicker a bit when they noticed the god that chose him-and it was a VERY quick choosing. The god that chose Shin was the god of monsters. What an ironic god to get. For a change they actually let Rouge in on this finding it as hysterically funny as a spirit could. She giggled a bit too. He was gonna HATE this. She wondered if she should tell him right off or let him care for the child THEN find out.
When the bonding was complete Shin did return to his body, a relic corosponding to the soul of the god that had chosen him appearing on a silver chain around his neck. The soul of the god would use the magic relic as a host for the moment, taking it's shape. Meanwhile Shin got to wake up and be greeted by the lovely blonde Rouge.
Shin's blue eyes gave a fluttering motion before they opened up, dazed from all that had happened to him or at least that he thought had happened to him in the short amount of time... or what felt short. His vision was for a moment a bit blurry and when he found himself starring up at blond hair, "Keiji?" He questioned, curious upon why his charge was all the way out in the... He jerked to sitting up, looking around in a confused sort of way. Where in the Nine Hells... His gaze flew back to the blonde who he saw now was most definately NOT Keiji, after all it seemed the blonde was a female, "What... Where?" He found himself studdering dumbly. His hand then flew to his chest, poking at it as he found himself lacking the giant hole that he would have sworn was there a moment ago. What was going on? Had he been dreaming? He looked around, back and forth before once again turning to the woman, "Is this the hospital?" That would make sense, maybe one of the two people that had hired him had found him in time to get him to the ER?
No ER was good enough to patch him up so fast were they? To the point that the damage was nonexsistant from the feel of it. He tapped his finger against the area that should have been crushed before awaiting the answer of the woman. Surely she would have to know since she was standing here beside him, was she a nurse? What a pretty nurse, he slumped back able to catch himself on his elbows feeling a bit dizzy. Dizzy though he could deal with, dizzy was better then gaping hole in the chest. For the moment it would seem that the necklace around his neck wouldn't be noticed since it was hanging above the place where his wound had been and above where his interest lay.
Rouge laughed a bit. "No. Sadly I am the bringer of bad news. You are alive and the wound that was inflicted upon you was magically repaired. But your death was for a purpose and it's not one you'd really enjoy. You are going to be guarding another kid, regardless of how much you don't want to. Though you will have help on expenses." She really didn't feel like explaining stuff. She felt like answerign questions. "The relic around your neck is going to turn into a reborn god baby in two days time and you need to be prepared."
Shin starred at the woman as if she had grown a second head all of a sudden as he tried to process all of what she had said in such a short amount of the time. Ok the first part he could deal with, the first part was good about his wound being magically healed. No wound meant no death... wait so he had died? A purpose? He had died for a reason that almost made it sound as if it were something that were done on purpose. Didn't make sense though as he had been the only one there aside from the manticore, he couldn't complain now about being healed since he had no idea if that gift could be taken away as easily as he was given. With the good came the bad though, as per usual.
"What!? I alread have three in my care!" He said, "How am I supposed to..." He blinked a couple of times, wait... help on the expenses? That it would seem was enough to cause him momentary pause. Help with expenses he wondered... "Would that help mean moving into a place that has more then one bedroom?" Currently he and his oldest charge slept in shirts on the bed and the demon twins had the couch, "If not this... God of yours will be sleeping in a dresser drawer." Not that anything bad could be said about that, far as he remembered that was where he'd slept when he was younger his own family having been not that better off then his currently one.
Two days, two days time to prepare for another? Even if the woman gave him all of Midas's gold who was to say he would be able to be ready in two days for another child that would need fed, clothed, and cared for? He gave a groan, as he lowered his gaze to the relic that he wore then lifted his hand to tap a finger against it. So this thing was going to suddenly sprout into a kid? A Godling at that, "Bleh... a God? How... How is it that I got shackled with a God-child?" What was a person supposed to do with a baby God? Did you disapline the kid same way? Could you disapline the kid at all or would it call down plagues upon him? Loctus, frogs, and all that? "Bleh, first an pair of demons, then an angel and now a God. Next I will have the Devil himself at my dining table." This part was muttered quietly.
"Well I don't know if we can get you house quickly but if you want your family could live here on the ship. It's rather...huge. As for money, there is SEVERE monitary difference between Tison and your world so we should be able to afford whatever you need. And we have the facilities on the ship to care for a child at the moment. As for how you got the kid no one knows. The guardians are chosen by a higher power. Though from what I've seen they don't have any powers yet. Though we've only gotten some to baby so I don't know about later." she said with a smile. "As for which god it is I'd have to look at your relic and take a while guess. Some of the relics are symbols of the particular god and I can tell right off the bat. Others are just out there and I havent' got a clue."
Shin was intrigued, ok. He supposed that he could take the Godling since it seemed to have rather rich backers. He could deal with another mouth to feed since it was bringing along the food so... "Alright." He murmured, eyeing the relic, "You had best behave yourself." He wasn't about to be a push over of a parent just because the little brat happened to be God blooded. He was pretty sure for that reason the kid was going to need to be watched after that much more closely, so that it didn't go off using whatever God powers it had to cause problems for him and the rest of his family.
"I appreciate that offer but while the money help would be nice I am not so without pride that I would move into your place to avoid hardship. Besides I have my job that I can't exactly toss aside its to important and my charges have their own lives as well that it would disrupt." He called them charges and not 'sons' as they weren't really his, they were strays that he opened his home to, "Godling here can deal for a while with leaving where we live, best that he knows what its like to be humble." Or he would get to big a head on his shoulders about being a God and that would be something Shin would have to deal with. Ah... what a pain.
Shin it would seem had choosen not to reply to the 'higher power' thing as it was a higher power that seemed to want to make his life far more complicated then it had to be. He wondered idly how bringing home a God was going to disrupt the currently tenuous peace between those already living under his roof. He reached down to wrap his hand around the relic and held it out to the woman, curious to find out what God exactly that he was to be taking care of, "Any idea on this one?"
Rouge had already known but wanted to see the relic. Her concience deemed it was best to inform him ahead of time. "Well you may not like this but yes I do know. Your profession may make caring for him hard. You will be caring for the Tison God of Monsters." she slightly sourly. Poor thing could end up dead. "He may be humble but when he's older he could either make your job even more profitable or painful depending on how you treat him. His powers in life I believe were to summon, banish, create, destroy and control monsters of all shapes and sizes."
And there was silence, a long and drawn out one as if Shin thought for a moment that the woman would start to laugh and tell him that it was all a joke and he was getting the God of Fluffy Bunnies or something... no such luck as instead she started to describe what powers that the kid was going to have instead. A... A MONSTER God? There was a... "Those THINGS have a GOD?" Shin sounded shocked, as if that concept made no sense to him. Wouldn't something need to be able to think to be able to worship a God? He looked down at the relic around his neck and then dropped it out of his hand as if the thing had burned him. What did he want or need with a God of Monsters?
"Is your Higher Power soft in the head? Does it not know that I am very well take one of my blades to the brat the moment it appears? I am sure killing their God would cripple the monsters." He said, none to kindly but he wondered if he had it in himself. Could he kill a child even knowing what it was and what it was going to grow up to be, what it would be able to do? He gave a growling sound, this was just... foolish! Why would anyone give someone that made their living hunting monsters the God to that particular group. Another sound, a choked one, "This makes no sense! Bah! The Higher Powers are mocking me again." He complained.
"They do in Tison but luckily you've never been there. Monsters are sentient in Tison. It wouldn't do any good to kill the child in Gaia. For all you know the released power could give the monsters in your realm the mental powers of the ones in Tison. And that'd really suck for you." The woman said bowing and grinning evilly. "Plus the reason you got that one is not the higher power's choice. It was the god's. Their soul has been de-aged back to that of a baby and it felt you would most be able to protect it. I do highly suspect that that particular god may just have a hard life as a child considering they may be getting their powers and being completely unable to control them. Just because the child controls monsters doesn't make it one. You wouldn't know would you? The child could make your work better by controling the mosnters for you or it could make it a better job by summoning monsters and letting you get hired to kill them. After all if there were no god of monsters there would be no monsters really and then there'd be no job for a monster hunter."
Damn women and their... logic.
He was quiet all over again trying to mull over that one, the God had picked him? Sheesh... that kid would really did need watched over if it were going offer itself up to someone like Shin. Did the God have no sense of self preservation? Or maybe the God knew that there was no way that Shin could raise his blades to wield them against a child? He felt a headache coming on, normally he didn't have to do this much thinking all at once did he? Life was easy, get a job, do the job, get paid, spend the money on various things needed, sleep, and repeat. This was all far to much for his mind to take all at once so he decided to do what was the best for his mental state and for everyone around him. Shin gave in.
"Fine, fine. I will watch after the brat and do my best to refrain from killing it." He really didn't want to risk killing the kid and it turn out the way the woman had suggested, his prey gaining that level of intelligence would cause far more problems then it would be worth. Definately it would prompt him to retire for real and move some place far from Monsters. If they turned super smart though where would be a place to get away from them? They would no doubt no longer stick to the same out of the way places instead intent upon going to where better resources were. Shin gave a shudder at the mere thought of that, nope. He wasn't about to let that happen!
Rouge smirked. "Good. Then that's settled. This way please." she led Shin to the transporter room and handed him what seemed to be briefcase. "Enjoy the payoff from not killing the kid." she said and with that Shin and his suitcase full of large bills were sent back to his job site to collect the payment for his job-the people thankfully never noticing the suitcase.
And with that another guardian had reluctantly recieved his charge.

Talking with the Angel
So he was off, heading for home with his pockets lined with the money the bounty on the manticore had brought him along with the case of money that the blonde from before had gifted him with. Another bounty if you asked him since the money was given to him for a job that he was going to be doing in the near future. The taking care of, and not in the killing sort of way, of a damned monster child. He looked down at the necklace that hung around his neck to give it a look before he gave a grunt of dislike at the entire situation. He found himself looking off into the distance as he walked along, a Monster God of all things. Well at least he had the three at home already and they could surely help out when it came to keeping an eye on the new kid when it decided to arrive. Until then he was going to use the money that he had been given to go towards some things that his small place really needed.
First and foremost he was in need of one of those pull out sofas for the livingroom, the twins while seeming to be quite cuddly with one another were going to grow out of the the sofa that he currently had soon enough. A pull out one would give them plenty more room to sleep on even after they got bigger. After that he would need to get something for the newest of his charges to sleep in, Maybe one of those gaves that people used for babies? No... wait. He was pretty sure that the word wasn't cage but something close to that... What in the world was it called again? Oh! Yes, a pen. So a pen for the Monster God? That sounded rather suiting of you asked him. Random toys would be needed as well to keep the attention of the Monster Godling, maybe that would keep it it out of trouble? He wondered if the toys would need to be tough, to be able to take chewing on. He was having currently a hard time differentiating between a Monster and a Monster God baby, he wouldn't be able to figure out which the child was going to be until he met it he supposed. Until then he would get tough toys...
He gave a grummbling sound then looked to the third and final prize that he was bringing home from the farm, the tail of the manticore, "You see? Monsters are nothing to me, a way of living and a means of getting some good thought dangerous weapons. Aside from that there is little more to it, don't think that because you are here that I am going to quit my job or anything like that. Its what I am good at, what I know how to do best." He told the Relic around his neck.
He was met with silence though it wasn't as if he were really expecting it to talk back. An answer from the Relic would no doubt give him a heart attack...
Shin gave a sound of frustration, he felt rather trapped and that wasn't a feeling that he found as a pleasent one. He came and went as he pleased even with the three charges that he had at home. They knew how to take care of themselves so it wasn't really that he was obligated to be there with them twenty four seven, seven days a week. He was used to going away for however long was needed for various jobs and getting no complaints, they knew when he came back he would have money and they would get something out of it. The only one of the three that ever fussed was Keiji but that was due to the fact that Shin normally came home beat up, today though the blond would have something be happy over.
Babies though... babies only did three things they ate, they slept, and they crapped. They were rather useless until they started to walk, talk, and be able to take care of themselves, "Even with all of their weirdness the twins aren't nearly as bad as that." He muttered.
He gave a sighing sound of delight as he arrived at the his place, lifting a food up to kick it against the front door to get the attention of those that were inside. There was a moment before the door opened up, "What? Ah! Shin! Your home." Keiji said, a smile of delight appearing on his lips as he saw the head of the family outside of the door and not only home but looking rather well, "I am so glad that your home I worry when your away."
"It was nothing, the jobs rarely are." He said, shrugging then held out the case he held in one hand to the winged boy, "Here, hide this in my room."
Keiji blinked in confusion, "What?"
"Nothing, now get going alright." He said, turning and headed around the house. The work on his new weapon to be was done in a quick, careful, and through sort of way before he tied a rope around the tail to leave it out to dry out. When it was done drying he could complete it. It would be a good weapon when it was all finished.
He wasn't surprised in the lease when he returned to his room to find the blond teen waiting on his bed for him, "Shin... what is it that is in that case? Its nothing bad right? Nothing... stolen?" He asked sounding rather worried over it.
Shin rolled his eyes before he lifted his hand to pat the boy's head, "I do a lot of things Keiji but I don't steal, I just ended up taking on a second job while I was out and that case contains the payment that I got. I just wanted the box hidden away since its a lot of money. Do you understand?"
Keiji seemed to think about it for a moment, thoughtful, "So what is it that you plan on doing it?"
"A lot of things can be done with it but the thing high on the list is going to be getting us a new place. Until then we are going to make the one that we have liveable." Shin told the angel, he had looked it over how much he had in the case, it was enough.
"A... new place?" He asked, sounding a little confused.
"Well its going to be the same land just bringing in one of those manufactured homes." He explained.
"Really?" Keiji asked, excited.
"Yes, really." He said then gave a sigh, "Its really a good thing, right? Even if what I am doing in exchange isn't something I enjoy?"
"Do you always enjoy your work?" Keiji asked, curious.
"Yes, there are somedays that I rather enjoy what it is that I do. When a person does their job and does it well it feels nice."
"But not this time?" The angel asked, wings a flutter.
"Not this time." He lifted a hand to cover the relic that wore around his neck, groaning.
Keiji tilted his head to the side, watching Shin closely before he reached out to take hold of the hunter's wrists and drew them back and away so that he could see what it was that he was trying to hide, "That necklace..." There as something about it that made the angel stare in a wide eyed sort of way. He lifted confused blue eyes to meet Shin's gaze awaiting an explaination.
"Can you sense it?" He asked of the angel, flopping back on his bed.
"Shin! What is that?" He asked, scooting closer. He could tell that it wasn't just a necklace and it wasn't some prize that the hunter had taken off of one of his kills. It was... something more then that. It felt alive somehow and that gave the angels the shivers, his wings tremmbling a little.
"You don't need to worry about it. This is... the second job that I took on. The one that comes forth from this relic is going to need cared for and it would seem I got roped into doing just that." Shin explained, crossing his arms behind his head, starring up at the ceiling, "You can feel free to play with the kid all you want when he appears."
The angel nodded, reachinga hand out to pick up the necklace in a rather reverant sort of way, "B-But... is there not only one God?" He asked suddenly, this made no sense at all to him. This feeling was familiar to him it was the same feeling that he had gotten when he was basking in the light of the Heavenly Father before he had been banished from Heaven, it was the feeling of a God. A sleeping soul inside the necklace, that confused him that much more.
"Its nothing that you should worry over Keiji, this God is not from this world but from another one all together." He explained hoping to ease the confusion that was coming off the teen in waves. The angel was already confused enough about God, Heaven, the world, and his place in it. He didn't want to make it worse with the appearance of the Monster God into his life.
"Other... worlds have their own Gods?" He asked, mind trying to wrap around that concept.
"So it would seem. Like I said you can play with him all that you like when he appears, see what sort of God he is. I am sure an Angel can judge well." He said, yawning, "I'm gonna take a nap, its been a trying day."
Keiji nodded, laying down next to Shin so that he could watch the necklace while the hunter slept as if he expected it to do something spectacular...

Dinner with the Brats
"Shin! Hey! Human!" A voice yelled through the bedroom door in an attempt to stir him from his deep, long sleep, "Hey! I waaaaanna have dinner tell Keiji to cook for me!" Yoko was glarring at the door. He was going to lose his voice soon and before that happened he meant to get the two that were sleeping to wake up so that he could get some food. Tsukiko was far to quiet, far to kind he would just wait patiently at the door to the room like a trained puppy for Shin and Keiji to emerge and make dinner. He didn't want to wait as long as that, "Come on! I am starving to death out here!"
Shin gave a grunt, eyes opening up to look over at the door and gave it a dark glare, what in the world was that pup going on about now? He pushed to sitting up, "What is it that you want Yoko?"
"Food!" He whined, hands beating against the door, "Come on!"
The hunter gave a grunt of response before reaching over to shake the angel awake that was curled up in a ball, wings wrapped around him to keep out the light, "Come on Keiji, its time to get up. We have a lot to do, a lot to get ready for now though we need to get the food ready before the two puppies starve." The last part said in an amused voice. He knew full well that both Yoko and Tsukiko could cook though only the simplest of dishes, they wanted for Shin and Keiji to be awake so that they could get more complex meals. The angel's stripped wings gave a flutter as he got up to his feet, "I don't wanna be up." He murmured even as he stretched out from head to toe, wing tip to wing tip.
"We all have to do things that we don't want to do." He said, tapping a finger against the Relic around his neck. This time he didn't seem quite as serious, teasing the angel a bit to get him moving, "After we have dinner we will go out. We have some shopping to do. Get the case from where you stashed it and I will get out what will need for this trip then we will hide it again."
Keiji nodded and moved to do as he was told.
"Ahh... ahh...? Shin?" Came anothe voice from outside the door, it caught the hunter's attention as that was Tsu's voice which meant that the time must be getting late for the voice to move from being in Yoko's command to Tsu's command, "S-Sorry about my brother, we can wait on dinner." He called.
"Its fine Tsukiko, you go on and wait for us on the couch and we will get your food shortly." He said as he opened up the door, looking down at the golden hair puppy.
Tsukiko nodded, smiling then took his brother's hand to drag the now silent but glarring boy off away from the door and to the couch to sit down like good dogs. Or at least that was the way that Yoko saw it but as he could no longer say anything for the next twelve hours he was going to have to agree with his brother and follow after him. What a pain! He was at least when shortly after the angel and the hunter were in the 'kitchen' which was another section of the main room of the house.
"After dinner the four of us are going out so you will need to dress nicely." Shin told the twins who had moved from the couch to watch the preparing of the food, they weren't allowed to use sharp knives, the oven, or a few other things. They could use the stove top and a few other things that weren't dangerous to them and didn't run a risk of burning down the house. So their food choices were rather limited. To get to see the hunter preparing them meat and the angel working on noodles for a side made the two of them dance back and forth, their tails wagging wildly.
"Please don't drool on the food." Keiji said, turning to give the two pups a look.
Tsukiko growled at the angel and while Yoko just silently barred his teeth at him.
"Be nice to the angel." Shin said not even looking up at them, instead tossing the slices of meat into a pan to sizzle up. Instantly the scent of cooking meat had the two pups' tails a wagging again. It smelled so good...
"How about the two of you set the table?" Keiji suggested.
Tsukiko looked him over before nodded, "Can do." He said, hurrying over to small cabinet in the corner to get out what was needed, handing it to Yoko who brought it over to the table. When they had all the needed plates, flatwear, and glasses the two of them set the table up to be ready for when the food was ready for them. The two then climbed up into their seats.
"Foods up." Shin said, carrying the pan over and put a slab of meat onto each of the four plates before putting it in the sink, Keiji served the noodles then poured milk for everyone. They all sat down and set to eating, wolfing down the food that was before them. That was at least one good thing Shin thought to himself, the Godling that was coming to live in their family was male so the kid wouldn't be put off by their lack of manners.
When they were done Shin set the three of his charges to get ready, dressed nicely and cleaned up so that they could go out and at least pretend to look respectable.

Journal Oh for the love of... well if you ask me I am rather surprised that we were only kicked out of the one of the many stores that the four of us went to. I suppose that while I could dress them up it wasn't that I could take them out. Well I can't complain hugely about Keiji as normal it would seem the angel was playing the part of the Mom and trying to keep the other two in line. It never does work when I am around though as there can only be one power of authority at a time with the twins. If I am around they don't listen to Keiji, Yoko worst of all. The three of them are good kids but honestly there are days I want to toss them out of a moving vehicle, pains right in the a** I mean it. Passed the normal fighting between demons and the angel that seems as old as time itself shopping went rather well. I found a pen that I think is worthy of a monster god. Its big enough too that the kid won't be able to easily escape even after he learns how to stand up. Its great! Instead of having the mesh siding which I found to be a huge waste of money instead its wooden bars. So basically its a cage without a top. Along with it there are a good half dozen toys that are the kind that can take a beating and make it through alright, a couple of them even having a sort of guarentee on them that if they somehow break that I can take them back and get a replacement. I will take them up on that off if it happens believe me. Got the pull out couch for the twins, they seemed to like it as it was the only time on the whole trip that they were smiling and having no conflict with Keiji, they were instead checking out all of the pull outs and jumping on them, sitting on them, laying on them until they found the perfect one. While its comfortable and while it was their choice I have to say the one that they picked out is the most god awful pattern ever. Looks like someone ate a box of crayons then threw up. I am not gonna complain as I am not going to be sitting on the monstrousity. After the furniture store and that was when we went to get the toys, half of them for the Monster God, almost half for Yoko and Tsu as I figure they need something to occupy their time that doesn't involve bugging the hell out of Keiji, and then a few things for Keiji mostly things I found him starring at in interest even if he hadn't asked for them I tossed them in the cart. Hes a teenager and I really think he probably should have some video games of his own so despite his protests I got him one of those hand held things and a handful of various types of games. After that was the clothing store which went the worst possible, the twins it would seem would rather run around half naked then have to try on clothing. It ended up I picked them out several things, what do I know about chosing clothing for little kids, and tossed them into the cart along with stuff that Keiji got for himself and then there was the problem of clothing for the Monster God, having no idea what its going to look like I have no idea what I was supposed to get for it. So instead of getting any clothing this time around I just got the diapers and figured once the brat arrives I can figure out what it will need. Food shopping, shoe shopping, and then to a store that the kids weren't allowed in as its were I get my jobs from and where I get things that I will need for them and we were headed for home. I don't think I was ever so happy as to see the place. The men showed up not long later with a truck to drop off the twins' new couch and haul off the old one. Place is far to small for more then one of them to be in the room without horribly cluttering up the place, that and I was pretty sure the two would bounce back and forth between the two and break something. All in all while I survive the experiance its not one that I am looking forward to doing again any time soon, next time I will give the brats some money and send them along on their own. It will give me a headache free chance to hang out at home without them, would be the first time in almost a year that it would happen. ~Shin

What in the world were those things he thought to himself as he starred out over the shadowed landscape finding himself starring at the many, many eyes that were starring back at him. Their forms were lost in the darkness but the scents were familar. Monsters, many of them all seeming to be starring at him but this time it wasn't as if he were something that was meant to be eaten. No, their were watching, waiting... he looked down and could see a form that seemed sillohetted, red instead of dark and shadowed like the others, and harder to make out what it was. It looked up at him, grinning up at the hunter with pointing teeth, 'Shin... So this is the one I chose...' a voice in his head murmured.
"Chose... me?" He breathed then gave a squeak, "You!"
The form flickered again then as it turned around, the little creature starring up at him. There was a flicker before it was gone again, the red once more wrapping it way around his neck, tightening on it harder and harder until it felt as if he were suffocating, he couldn't breath... there was something in his mouth... ***** Shin came awake coughing, flailing his arms wildly as he coughed up a feather... feather? He opened his eyes to look up a the wing that was laying over him, "Grr... Keiji..." He muttered, "Gonna clip those wings one of these days." Shin lifted his hand to push the wing off of him as he sat up, hand going to his chest. The necklace felt warm, was that from his body heat seeping into it or... was it due to the Godling soul inside of it shifting around? The blonde woman had said it took two days for the kids to wake up. Lets see... Yesterday was the first day he had the necklace and today was the second. Now was it that they appeared on the second day or was it that it was two whole day and appeared on the third? He really had no idea, maybe he should have thought to ask her about it and now there was no chance of getting to catch up with her to do that. Oops... He pushed off the bed and drapped a blanket over the sleeping angel before sneaking out of the room. He might as well make breakfast since he was up before he went out to the job that he had set up for today.

Nom Nom Nom on You
The second day had gone without any huge incident, breakfast had gone about as smoothly as any meal in his family did. It would seem that the twins had no real interest though in any sort of fruit thusly the bananas that were on there plate were shoved off onto the table and ignored while the bacon and eggs were wolfed down like tomorrow there would be no meat left in the world. He then left Keiji in charge while he went out telling them that he had a small job not far from home so he would no doubt be home before dark. After all he didn't know exactly how the Godling was supposed to appear before him, he hoped that it wasn't anything like how he had been given the relic that hung around his neck. Either way he didn't think that he wanted for it to happen when he was out and that it would be the best to wait at home for it to happen. The job though seemed simple enough, an older woman said that there was something terrible infesting her barn. Whatever it was it made the most God awful shreik before it attacked!
Already it had claimed the lives of some of her precious, prize winning birds and she wanted for something to be done about it.
When he arrived and set to looking around it took him about five minutes to discover both the problem and the 'monster' that was within the barn. He had ended up helping her with repairs to the coops that the birds were kept in as the 'enemy' was little more then a screech owl and he wasn't about to kill a random animal since it wasn't doing anything harm it was just feeding chicks. He couldn't feel any sympathy for someone that left the cages her birds were in without tops on them. It was the same as saying: 'Here you go Miss Owl, time for dinner'. Of course the bird of prey would make its nest near to the barn given such an opportunity. Odd that he was able to see animals in a good light and monsters in such a bad one. There were other factors though that he wasn't about to share with the world though.
A wasted afternoon if you asked him but he did get paid a little bit for being such a 'helpful young man'.
He arrived back at home as the sun was starting to set once more, he found himself looking down at his relic for a moment as if he was wearing. It was still hanging around his neck in the form of the necklace, no sign of any change like there had been in his dream. He gave a yawn, was odd that he was feeling rather sleepy even though he hadn't really done anything today that should be making him sleepy at least not if you asked him. He walked into the house finding the twins playing around in the kitchen, dancing around the angel somewhere in a cross between trying to drive him crazy or speed him up with the cooking. Hard to tell. Shin gave a yawn before walking by them and to his room plopping down on the bed.
"Bad day?" Came a voice a moment later.
Shin looked over at the door seeing Tsu standing there, watching him.
"Naw, I was chasing owls all day." He said, shaking a hand then rolled onto his side, "I'm going to take a nap. Wake me up when dinner is ready?"
Tsukiko nodded his head, "I will!" He yipped, tail wagging before he turned to hurry out of the room, closing the door behind him.
The hunter gave a yawn before letting his eyes close and a moment later he slipped in sleep...
It was rare for the baby to be ready to change back to its form in the daytime. But Shin had a rather quickly developing kid. As he slept his soul seemed to leave his body, floating above it, the soul of the relic around his neck. The godling's spirit must have taken the form of the relic so it would be used to being in a body again. However, Shin had other things to worry about.
After all it's not usually that you go to sleep, leave your body, and see a crazy ghostly door on the other end of your room. Wait-Ghostly door?! Where the heck had that come from? And what was with the funky doorknob? It was an old black door and had a gold knob that was in the shape of one of those oriental dogs-or dragons. Whichever. Anyway it seemed to be beckoning him to enter it. What was that about? Probably the god-kid's doing.
At first the man was rather confused at where he was, well both where he was and why it felt as if he were floating instead of laying down like he remembered being. Shin starred at the door blankly for a moment before he stepped forward towards it, finding his hand reaching out to take hold of decorative knob to turn it and turned it. He had seen the animal depicted on it before though never a live one, only the statues of the ones that were sold in certain shops in the mall. He pushed the door open and looked inside, he didn't see anything aside from darkness from this time so he forced himself to step forward through the door.
There was something on the other side of this door so he was going to have to face whatever it was, "Hellos?!" He called, voice seeming to echo into the darkness.
Behind him the door closed and vanished. But what was more interesting was what was laying on the ground before him. A young man with fang-like teeth and a rather odd hairstyle seemed to be dead on the floor. He had the tail of a large scorpian and batlike wings. His lower body was somewhat spider like. While there seemed to be a headdress that had been hiding his face it was ripped to shreds. His skin was dark, possibly obsidian. Upon it there were strangely colored markings. He looked rather exotic but what was most interesting was his hair. He had two rather large bangs that jutted from his forhead and fell forward near his eyes. His hair went back in a strange spikey version of a mohawk and on the sides he seemed to have cornrows. But they all joined at the back to form one long braid at the top of his head. This braid had feathers and claws hanging from it, just as they hung around his neck. Oooooookay then.
What showed that he was dead was a giant gaping hole in his chest. And there was a mark around his neck. As if he'd been decapitated and his head had somehow been returned in this ghostly state. Shin, having had his job for the time he had, knew the mark of a monster hunter who'd taken his prize.
And lucky him. The strange beckoning was seeming to ask him to touch the body. Oh joy.
Shin was frozen place for a moment as he looked the body in front of him over, moving forward studying it intently. It was like no creature that he had ever see before and for a moment he felt the desire to try to figure it out, what was it exactly? He had pieces to several of the monsters that he had before separately seen. A giant scorpion, a giant spider, the wings of a large bat... he wondered if the wings could carry his large form with what it was like... maybe? The hair style was quite interesting too, flashy.
He had to applaud whatever hunter took this beast down, that had to be one hell of a fight against something like this.
He took another step closer to it, why was it that he felt the urge to reach out to the body? Was this... was this it? This was the Monster God? Couldn't be... well it would make sense for God to have pieces of several different monsters. He tried to draw his hand back but he couldn't seem to do it, couldn't seem to draw it back, "No..." He murmured, giving a little jump as his hand came to rest on the creature's body.
And yet as he thought it couldn't have been it was. The Tison Monster God had been taken down-by a sub-par monster hunter even. While he'd been able to slay any foe before seen this one had been possessed by another Deity and therefore had power the young god did not. He'd quickly fallen at that.
When Shin's hand touched the body it began to glow as did the chain around his neck. The relic and the body were both covered in a strange light-making it impossible to see anymore. The necklace shot from it's position and into the form. And after the glowing ceased there lay a dark skinned baby on the floor where the god had been laying. His skin didn't have all of the markings and he looked a lot more human then that god had-what with no tail, no fangs, human legs, and no wings-but it was most noticible that he had nice hair. It was a shade of red with golden tips. No mohawk right now but that may return as he grew. Well at least he was cute. So this was a baby godling. But what to do with him? Could he leave the child? Probably not they were both stuck in here. And the baby was awake anyway. Little did Shin know that when he picked up the baby the door would reappear, but only when he took the child.
Shin starred down at the body as it started to shift and change, instead of the massive form created by several different monsters pieced together. He found himself instead looking down at the creature... child. It was now human shaped and for the most part rather normal looking aside from the skin and hair colors. He knelt down in front of the kid before reaching out to pick him up. The baby gave a yawn and a grummbling sound, then gazed up at Shin with big eyes... before he gave an excited sort of sound before he leaned over and started to gnaw upon Shin's hand. Luckily for him though the kid was lacking in teeth, rising to his feet he saw the door had appeared once again behind him. He shifted the baby so that it was resting in the arm of the hand he was chewing on and walked forward towards the door. He paused to look over his shoulder around the darkened room.
"Come on brat. Lets go home shall we." He said, giving the boy a look. As he stepped back through the door again something occurred to him, unlike the twins and the angel this one didn't come with a name. He supposed that would be the first thing that he would have to do was figure out something to call him aside from 'brat'. Until he picked he supposed that 'brat' would be a sufficient nickname.
When they walked through the door they were again in the room. There was a small baby boy in the bed beside him-sleeping as well. When the two went back to their bodies they'd be pulled in and be able to wake up. After that he could deal with dressing, well introducing him to his brothers. And naming him of course. That'd need to be done soon. Maybe he should call Rouge to let her know even.

His Name is Brat
Shin came away starring up at the ceiling once again, he was having the weirdest dreams and he was completely sure that they were all the fault of the relic around his neck. The little monster was giving them to him, no doubt in an attempt to drive him crazy. Shin lifted a hand to his chest to where the relic had been only to find it missing. He gave a gasp and jerked to sitting up to look around for it, only for a moment as instead he found laying there on the bed rather contently the dark skinned child that he'd seen in his dream, "Ahh... so that wasn't a dream." He breathed, reaching out a hand towards the child but found himself freezing when red eyes opened up and starred up at him in a lazy manner, he flicked out his tongue at his father in a snake like sort of way and grummbed, "Good evening to you to, Brat."
The boy's eyes narrowed for a moment and he gave a sound that was somewhat like a growl.
"I'm sorry kid. You can't be seen as intimidating until your able to sit up on your own." He informed him, "And especially when you have no teeth."
The boy started to flail his arms and legs in a very indignant sort of way before he finally gave up realizing that the man was right and that he couldn't seem to sit up or attack from his current position. What a pain... so he settled for growling and glaring since he could do that at least. Shin shook his head before he got up to his feet, "And being cute isn't going to allow you to worm your way into my heart either." He informed him as he went to dig around in one of the bags that was sitting on the floor. He took out the package of diapers, looked them over in a blank sort of way before looking to see if there were instructions on them, after a moment he figured out how they worked and had one on the monster before it could pee on his bed... or worse.
"There we go. Now... what do little monsters eat?" He asked, reaching over to pick the kid up, walking out of his room. The little Godling was hissing in indination, he didn't need to be carried! He could do it on his own! He thought to himself then realized that he couldn't even figure out the words to yell at the person that was carrying him so he doubted that he could quite figure out the walking. And then he found himself deposited in the pen... the ultimate insult!
"Ahhh... what's that?" Tsu asked, sliding down off of the couch to look down into the pen. His gaze met those of the little boy in the pen before he giggled, so cute! And tiny! Tsu had never seen a baby before. He reached a hand down to pick up a toy to shake it in front of the baby. The rattling noise caught the monster's attention and the baby found himself utterly facinated by the sound and colors, "Here, here. Hold it?"
Small hands lifted and grasp at the toy though didn't seem to have the easiest time doing so, motor skills a little lacking having just been 'born'.
Yoko walked over to looked down at the kid, trying to see what Tsukiko found so facinating. It was just a little kid... he gave it a look then snorted. He had no real interest in it and found himself jealous that his twin did. Tsukiko was only supposed to play with him not with other random kids that he found! He reached down to take the hand that the rattle to try to pull Tsu away from the baby. The baby gave a hiss not because the blond was being taken but with him the rattle! Hey! That rattle belonged to him. The rattle forgotten as he caught hold instead of Yoko's hand and bit him, rather hard for someone without teeth.
Yoko's eyes went huge and he growled silently as he tried to jerk his hand away from the kid, thats it! The little brat was going to get a beating! He lifted his other hand, planning on decking the Monster God when his hand was captured. His angry eyes turned to glare up at Keiji.
"You leave him along." Keiji snapped, "Hes just a baby, he doesn't know any better."
"Besides Yoko, you started it taking his toy away." Tsu said, lowering the rattle again to shake it drawing the boy's attention once more to it and he released the hand he had been gnawing at to instead to play with the rattle. Yoko drew his hand back, shaking it before he shoved passed his twin and Keiji to go and sit down on the couch again to sulk. At about that time Shin returned with a cup of milk for the Godling.
"I see you three have met the little monster." He said, looking down at him.
"He's cute!" Tsukiko said, tail wagging wildly, this was echoed by a snort from Yoko.
"I am glad you think so, the three of you will be helping to care for him when I am at work." Shin said, reaching down to scoop the kid up again. He sat himself on the couch to and set to helping him to drink the milk. Yoko scooted as far from the baby as he could, glaring, "Don't like him already?"
"Heh, the kid bit him." Keiji explained.
"Not suprising. He seems rather bitey." He said.
The baby was hissing and growling as he ate the milk, it had a slightly sweet flavor to it that he rather liked so he couldn't suck it down fast enough. The cup was soon empty and the boy's belly slightly swollen from eating so much in such a short time. He gave a little burp and slouched back against Shin, looking over the other three that were watching him. He blinked his red eyes a couple of times before he gave a growl, shaking his hands at Tsukiko demandingly. The boy tilted his head to the side as he reached down to scoop up the rattle and brought it over to hand it to the baby.
The young Godling shook it and then gnawed at the handle, pleased.
"Brat." Shin muttered, rolling his eyes. He could tell already that being cute would get him in good with Tsu and being a God would get him in good with Keiji, as for Yoko... he would hate the kid because he was taking Tsu's attention and because he was something that Keiji liked. Rather how Shin wouldn't trust the kid because he was a Monster.
"Does he have a name?" Keiji asked, wings wiggling as he looked the boy over.
"I've been calling him brat." Shin said, grinning.
"Shin! That's not a name." The angel said crossing his arms over his chest, "And most certainly not a name for a Godling."
"Well when I come up with something better I will let you know." He said, slumping in a lazy manner back against the couch his stomach grummbling, "Can someone fetch me some dinner?"
Keiji nodded before he went to do as he was he asked.

Naming
The nameless but currently dubbed as 'Brat' Godling was sitting in his pen, yowling in anger at the others that were outside of it. This was sooo unfair! He got this bottle with milk in it, while really good currently that wasn't the point, and outside of his pen the rest of the family was eating something else. It smelled so good, so tasty! He wanted some of it too, why was it that they weren't sharing the meat with him! It had to be better then this!
"Want for me to go and get him?" Tsu asked of his father, tilting his head to the side.
The white haired monster hunter shook his head, "Everyone is supposed to be eating, that means him too. Hes gonna get spoiled if everyone carries him around all the time." This was mostly for Tsu and Keiji who had been holding the boy since he had arrived, loving on him and generaly spoiling the brat making him into a Super Brat. He gave a glance over at the kid then shook his head.
Yoko was glarring over the table at the pen, what a loud baby. Its voice was starting to grate on him, making his ears hurt and even with that Tsu wanted to go and pick him up, play with him. So unfair and annoying! He wanted to toss him outside like one did with a yapping dog. He seemed tempted enough that when Shin looked over at him and then seeming to read his thoughts through his eyes he shook his head, "No." He ordered, "Everyone just eat then you can decide how to deal with the brat."
Keiji looked up from his food, "He needs a name. Brat isn't a name that is suitable enough for a God!" He said, shaking his head. He was worried that the kid would actually start to think that 'brat' was his name before they could get him a better one, one that suited him better. A REAL name.
Shin nodded, "Yes, I suppose that he does." He murmured, glancing over at the pen again, listening to the yelling, the yowling, and the anger. He gave a sort of a humming sound before a smirk spread over his lips, "Vishal."
Keiji, Tsukiko, and Yoko all looked over at the hunter, confused, "Huh? Whats a Vishal?" Tsu asked.
"Vishal is perfect, it describes well his mouth." Shin said, taking another bite of the dinner that was sitting before him.
The three boys looked at each other as if hoping that one of them might know what Shin was talking about, then all of their gazes were back on Shin waiting in an expectant manner.
Shin grinned, "It means 'large'." He said, simply.
Yoko lost it, laughing silently but histarically and even Tsukiko couldn't help but do the same thing. They both knew that the name was basically Shin saying that the damn kid had a big mouth and naming him for it.
"Shin!" Keiji cried, "That isn't what I meant when I said he needed a suitable name!"
"But you do agree that its suiting?" Shin asked.
Keiji stuttered, flushed, then went back to eating. A way of admitting that yes it was a fitting name even if he didn't say it outloud, the baby did have a big mouth but...
"How about we finish up with dinner then we can work on finding him something to wear for tonight." Shin said, getting Keiji's attention on something else, "Will worry about getting him his own clothing tomorrow. Sound good?"
"I have something he can wear." Tsu pipped up, wolfing down the rest of the food he had on his plate before scurrying off to fetch one of his shirts, it would be long on the baby yes but it would keep him warm that was for sure. He bounced over to the table and held it out, "Here!"
Shin was just finishing and he nodded, "Go get him for me?"
Tsu nodded and took a couple of steps before he got his wrist captured by Yoko, "Ahh? What?" He asked of the glarring pup, unsure of what he was stopping him for. Then his gaze met Yoko's and he gave a soft sort of smile as he could almost read the jealousy there in the others eyes. He reached up to wrap his arms around his twin and snuggled him before looking to Keiji for help. He would let Yoko have his way which meant that someone else had to get the baby from his pen.
The angel nodded, seeming to understand as he got up to his feet going over to fetch Vishal himself. He scooped him up and instantly the boy went quiet, pleased that he had been picked up. He snuggled against the angel, petting his blond hair happily, "Your to cute." He said, picking up the shirt and helped Vishal into it. The boy looked down at it, flapping his arms and then set to picking at the shirt in a confused sort of way. Why was he wearing this, "You want to stay warm right?"
He looked up at him, he supposed so. He drew his legs up under the edge of the of the shirt then drew his arms in looking for a moment much like a turtle ducking into its shell, then he gave a giggle deciding that he liked the shirt for hiding in.
"So cute!" Keiji said, wings a flutter as he snuggled on the baby.
Shin rolled his eyes, the baby definately had Keiji wrapped didn't he...

Vishal's 'Mother'
Keiji was sitting on the couch with the baby sitting on his lap, he was reading to him quietly out of one of the books that Shin had on hand about some of the various monsters that the man had to deal with. It was more like a book that describe them, their habits, where they lived, what they ate, and things like that instead of the ways to kill them. That was another book all together and not one that he was going to bring to the boy to look at. There were a lot of pictures in the book and it held the boy Godlings interest completely. He lifted his hands, flapping them wildly as he looked over one of them monsters, a Sphynx.
"She is a pretty one isn't?" Keiji asked, reading over the description then laughed, "She likes riddles it says."
Vishal gave a happy sound, thumping his hands against the page before petting over the long, dark hair that the beastial woman had falling far passed her shoulders. Keiji was right, she was a pretty one.
Both Keiji and Vishal's attention was drawn from the book that they were reading over to Shin who had given a choked sound when he heard them talking, as if embaressed over something, "Don't tell me that you...? You know." Keiji asked, that was so sad... he'd killed the pretty Sphynx woman?
Shin crossed his arms over his chest, "No, no I didn't." He muttered, "I wasn't... and she... I don't like her ok. I don't like her and I don't like dealing with her." The Sphynx was a confusing monster. She was like the Manticore with the face of a human but on top of that she had the same intelligence and she could talk. It wasn't like with parrots either, she spoke and she spoke well. On top of that she had those damned riddles of her, she'd made a deal with him. If he could answer her riddle she would let him take her head with no fighting back. The problem was if he couldn't answer the riddle right then he couldn't come hunting her again, had to leave her be to do what she desired.
The fact that she was still alive and kicking spoke volumes about what had happened.
Keiji gave a little laugh, "I see." He murmured, "Any others that you can't deal with because of things like that."
"Not that many." He said, walking over to plop down on the couch, "You seem to be doing rather well playing Mom to this one."
Keiji's wings fluffed up, eyes narrowing a bit, "W-What?!"
"A mother, to Vishal. You seem to be doing well at it. Are you as good at it with the other two when I am not around?" He asked, crossing his arms behind his head and ignored the grummbling and glares that he was getting from Vishal.
The Godling was twitching and growling, damn it! Bad Guardian! The angel was playing with him, reading about the cool monsters in the book with him! And Shin had to come over and ruin it for him! He gave a yowling sound, flailing out at him. He wished that he had some claws like the ones in this book he would show Shin who was boss then, "Rawrawr!" He snarled, attempting so hard to be scary enough to chase off the hunter.
Instead Shin starred down at him... and started to laugh his a** off, "Ahhh, Vishal. Your far to amusing you know that right?" He reached over to ruffle his hair, then ended up with a small and angry critter hanging off of his hand snarling and gnawing at his hand, "Thats only going to stand until you get teeth you know that right? First time you bite with teeth your going to find youself in that pen of yours until your old enough, big enough to get out of it on your own."
Vishal's eyes narrowed, and he bit down harder as if to show his guardian what he thought of his threats.
"Thats it..."
"No! No... Its ok. I will deal with him." Keiji said, wrapping his arms and wings around the bitey child. Vishal blinked and instantly he was releasing Shin's hand so that he could instead turn his attention to those pretty, feathery wings that were in front of his face. He went from snarling to squealing in delight in a snap.
"You really are a mother." Shin said, getting up and walk away from them, shaking his hand. Damn but that had hurt a bit. What a little brat, he'd best keep a damn good eye on him or he was going to grow up spoiled with a 'mother' like Keiji...

Keiji had laid out a thick, warm blanket on the floor for Vishal before he laid out a bunch of the boys seemingly indestructatable toys before he laid the boy down on his belly so that he could play. Vishal lay there for a moment looking at the toys that lay before him before reaching out for his favorite among them, his rattle. He gave it a hard shake so that the red spheres inside of it rattled about before coming to rest once more. He grinned and brought it to his mouth to gnaw at it while he watched his angel as he walked around, cleaning up the main room of the house. He wondered on why he was bothering to do that when Keiji should instead be over here playing with him. Oh well, not everyone was as smart as he was when it came to what they should be doing as opposed to what they did instead. A shame.
He gave the rattle another shake, pausing as Keiji walked by and he found himself watching his legs closely. His eyes narrowed some, watching him closely. Lets see now, it didn't really seem all that hard now did it? He should be able to do that so why was it that he was still stuck down here on his floor, on his belly like one of those snakes at the zoo! He should be able to move about as he wanted blast it! He tossed his rattle aside then tucked his arms up under himself to try to push himself up to his feet... it didn't seem to work though did it? He was able to get up to his elbows though so he should feel accomplished, he didn't though. He would feel that way only when he was able to get to moving around. After all if Dia was able to do it then there was nothing stopping him! He pushed, heaved, huffed, and generally made a lot of angry noises before he rolled himself over onto his back. He lay there, panting. He was starring up at the ceiling of the cabin, then gave a bit of a smirk. He'd done it! He was moving on his own!
He started to laugh happily, then squealed to the angel when he came walking by again. Keiji looked down at him, then tilted his head to the side before he knelt down next to the blond boy, "Vishal?" He murmured, reaching out to ruffle his two colored hair, "What are you up to?" Hadn't he left the boy on his belly he thought to himself. That only meant one thing! He had to of moved on his own hadn't he?
Vishal looked up at Keiji who looked upside down from the angle he was seeing him at, he reached out to him, making grabby hands. Keiji picked him up and gave a smile, "You trying to figure out the moving thing? You are gonna get up and walk away if I am not watching you closely, huh?" He said, grinning some. Well maybe not so quickly as that but it was something he was going to have to keep an eye out for wasn't it? He didn't want for Vishal to roll off and hurt himself or anything. Keiji gave the little God a snuggle before setting him back down on the blanket, "Try not to roll off the blanket, the floor isn't nearly as comfortable ok?"
The boy wasn't listening though, instead he was back to trying to roll himself again. He meant to figure this out so that next time he could show it off to Dia if he were to cross paths with the boy again. He was an interesting boy that was for sure, he wasn't exactly sure on what he thought of him, he was rather affectionate wasn't he? Affection from family he could understand but not so much from strangers, it made little sense to him. Between that and the biting made Vishal a little confused on whether the other kid liked him or not. He would see when he met up with him again he figured.
Vishal gave a grummbling sound then made himself roll again, laiding on his side this time and starred off around the room from this position. Wait... what was that under the cabinet he thought to himself idly seeming... something almost sticking out from under it. He was then trying to roll again to get closer to the cabinet and the strange object. It took him several tries and a great deal of time to get close enough so that he could dig around under it. He gave a squeak as he reached under and grab hold of what was under there, dragging out what looked like... some sort of a horn. Maybe it was shoved under there for storage? He looked it over then gave a squealing sound and started to beat it against the floor. Horn on wooden floor made a loud enough noise that Keiji who was working on dishes glanced over at Vishal to find him over there, far from where he'd been left to begin with. He rushed up to scoop him up and took the horn away, "No! No... icky. That is dirty Vishal."
The boy's eyes narrowed, displeased that the horn was taken away from him. Hey! The angel wasn't allowed to take away what was his!
"Its all dirty and besides, your far to little to be playing with things like this. Its dangerous what if you poked yourself on it?" He asked, then set Vishal in his pen, gathering the toys to hope that one of them would make it up to the boy that he'd had take away the horn. From the looks on the boy's face he was about to go into one of his yowling fits which ended when he got what he wanted or was distracted by something equally as good... Luckily for the angel it seemed the latter of the two happened when the rattle was set in the pen along side of him. Vishal picked it up and wielded it against Keiji, flailing it at him a moment and gave a growling sound before he went back to gnawing at it.
Keiji shook his head, "So long as you are safe I suppose I can deal with you being grummbly." He told him, walking over to put the horn way up high on the top of the cabinet it had once been under, "There we go, out of reach."
Vishal watched him closely, making a note of where the horn had gone and promised himself that he would get it again.

Toddler Quest Prompt! Vishal has quite suddenly gotten his teeth-all that teething on the rattle's paid off- and they're wonderful teeth. There's just one problem with this baby having gotten a mouth full of baby monster teeth-he's started to bite. Whether it be love bites to Keiji and Tsu or angry bites on Shin and Yoko he's biting. And Something has to be done about it. Tell what happened, about how everyone felt and reacted to this, how Keiji kept Shin from killing the baby, and such things. When you are done you will have finished submit it and I'll add your toddler change to the end. :3~He becomes elligible for Toddler Growth on the 23rd and [Dg] sent me the prompt saying I could write out his Toddler Quest but he wouldn't BE a Toddler until said date. So since I am gonna write out several parts I have much to do between now and then. LOL~However I-[Dg]-ammend my statement by saying that as soon as Rayne has finished her prompt Vishal will be going toddler due to her putting superb effort into him. :3

Part One: Crsh! Gulp!
Vishal was happily working the rattle that he was holding in his hands, gumming at the thing hadn't seemed to help when it came to getting into it, he couldn't get at the red beads that were inside of the thing. It seemed like a task doomed to failure, or at least that was how it seemed to be when he first started to try. There was something else though, something had been happening of late that Vishal couldn't describe but was very pleased with, he was teething. The teeth as they came in were much more useful then anything a person or Godling could have hoped for. He was able to use them to leave marks in the surface of his rattle, he was sure that if he bit at it enough he would be able to get through the plastic outside and to those red, yummy looking beads that were on the inside. He just had to work at the task at hand until he suceeded. His eyes lifted up to watch as his favorite person cooked, his red eyes were watching the blue stripped wings that were fluttering about. Such pretty looking wings, rather mesmerizing to watch as they moved. They even dropped a feather now and again, one of which he had tried to eat but wasn't allowed to. No fun at all honestly, they thought him so young and weak tha he couldn't even eat something as small and weak as a feather? Hmph.
Keiji turned to look over his head at Vishal, maybe to make sure that he was still within his pen instead of running off again. He felt bad having to lock him up but the rolling was a skill that he was starting to become to good at, it worried the angel. He didn't want for him to get hurt or get into things that weren't his to play with. The last thing that Keiji wanted was for the Godling to get into something of Shin's or even worse something of Yoko's. He gave the boy a smile when he saw that all Vishal was doing was attacking his rattle as usual. There was a look of curiousity in Keiji's eyes, he wondered what it was about that particular toy that held the boy's interest. What was it that made him want only to play with that toy in particular and nothing else for most of the time, "Is that a good rattle?" He asked, kneeling down in front of the pen.
Vishal looked up at him, rattle stuffed into his mouth, the stick of it hanging out of his mouth. He tilted his head to the side then gave a grummbling sound from around what was in his mouth. Keiji couldn't help but laugh, he looked rather amusing and sounded it to trying to talk like that, "Your an odd little thing aren't you Vishal?" The angel pushed up to his feet once more, "Food is almost done which of course means that they are gonna be showing up."
Almost as if summoned by his words the twins suddenly burst through the door, then slammed it closed giggling, "Ah! Hey? Angel. Is the food done yet?" Yoko demanded of the angel as he walked over to look in the pots that were sitting on the stove, lifting up the covers from them to look inside to see what was there to be had. He set it down then peeked into the over, "Huh, doesn't look half bad now does it?"
Tsukiko shook his head then walked over to the pen, looking inside and waved at the little boy inside of the pen. He gave him a grin then looked over to Keiji.
"Can you and Yoko set the table? Shin sent word that he isn't going to be home tonight so its just the four of us." He told them.
Yoko and Tsu looked at one another before they nodded and set to work on gathering the needed dishes and laid them out on the table. Places for the three of them were set out, a plate, a cup, and a fork each. Tsu looked over at the baby God before going over to Keiji, tugging on the angel's sleeve before he pointed over at the little one as if to ask what it was that he was to do. The angel looked over at Vishal then tilted his head in thought, "If you can get him a plastic up, a spoon, and a bowl and set it at my place he can sit on my lap while he eats." He said. He moved to start to dish up the food onto the plates and into the bowl after Tsukiko got the baby's dishes set out on the table.
"Does everything look good?" Keiji asked, looking the table over. He then turned around and went over to where the Godling was sitting. The little one gaze up at him then there was suddenly a crackling sound and then a loud CRUNCH. Keiji's eyes went huge as the Vishal leaned forward, spitting out the shards of plastic from the rattle and some spots of blood and starred down at the pieces in front of him. Keiji moved but not fast enough as suddenly the Godling picked up two handfuls of the red spheres and stuffed them in his mouth... and swallowed.
"VISHAL!" Keiji shreiked, scooping him up into his arms and instantly reached into the baby's mouth to see if he could fish anything out that he had put in his mouth, no such luck... he eaten those red spheres. Not only that but he had cut up his mouth when he bit through the rattle, how had he bitten through it he thought frantically. Vishal gave an angry sound when Keiji put his fingers in his mouth, warning him that he wasn't going to have this and to move them. He didn't though, kept fishing around trying to... do something? So Vishal did what came to mind first, he bit down.
A sound of pain escaped from the angel's lips as sharp Vishal teeth sank into his fingers, cutting into them, "Vishal! Let go!" He ordered, had it been anyone else he would have ignored them, maybe even bit down harder but since it was the angel... he found himself letting go. Keiji pulled his fingers free from the boy's mouth, red streaming from the wounds, "Ow..." He murmured, wincing in pain.
Tsukiko ran over, looking rather in show over all that had happened in such a short time.
"Tsu, here." He said, handing off Vishal while he went to the kitchen to fetch a towel, holding it out to Yoko, "Tie this around my fingers for me?"
The demon pup nodded and instantly complied, mostly because he wasn't sure what else to do at the moment. The moment it was done though he hurried over to grab hold of Vishal by his shirt, snarling at him, "You little b*****d! You stay away from my brother!" He said moving to drop him into his pen, "You stay there!" He didn't trust him, if he would bite open Keiji who babied him who was to say he wouldn't eat his brother?! He wouldn't allow it.
"Don't, its not his fault. Just need the first aid kit is all." He said, motioning to where it was kept in Shin's room." He said, sitting down in his seat, "I will wrap it and then I will take Vishal to the hospital." He was worried, less about his own wounds as he had many scars on his person though they were always hidden by his clothing, and more for the boy. He'd swallowed those beads! He needed to be looked at, to get them out! What if they made his sick? What if they hurt him? And his mouth! He'd bitten down on plastic and shattered it, what if he cut up his mouth real bad? Keiji's blue eyes got teary just from the thought that the baby could be hurt.
Tsukiko gave the angel a worried look before he nodded and ran ahead to get the first aid kit.
