Keithing Seraphice's Harajuku: Has anyone else seen the watercolour paintings of Yoshitaka Amano and notice the similarity? He used to do a lot of the concept art and character designs for Final Fantasy. I think I quoted right for the first time!!! I would love to think that my stuff is anything like Amano's but I want to be a fasion designer, but I'm leaning into costume work and I love Final Fantasy here, I'm an VIII guy here so i don't wanna hear any Sephiroth/Cloud rants evil I always feel bad about saying I'm inspired by someone cause then people tend to look at the similarity between the two artists and seeing it as a negative thing...sometimes.

Never played VII or anything after VIII myself, but most of the diehard people hate VIII for it being too realistic or whiny, or something. There's always a character like that in Square games, they just can't stand it if they're the main characters. I don't see it as a negative thing at all. Left on our own we would starve on our own limited ideas, and it takes so little borrowing to get the number of ideas to skyrocket. I like the fact that you aren't taking the literal game realism style. If anything, the only reason I play games is to see the fantastic concept art made flesh, but the art comes first.

Keithing: They hate 8 because it's romance overdose, dead people come back to life, and there was no "reall" story. I've never played 8, so the only thing I'm sure about is the first two.

There was no dead people coming back to life and there was totally a real story, I can tell you it if you'd like, just like7 or 9 it's complex and multi tiered most 7 players just didn't like it because there wasn't some hack and slash guy with long white hair and yaoi innuendo, oh and the fact that a characters dies in 7 is sooooo moving, boo hoo get over it.

Heehee touched a nerve have I? I grew up on Nintendo don't get me wrong, I loves me up some Mario Brothers old school style. But It seems besides a couple of heavy hitters that started out on Sony, Nintendo is all song and dance with Yoshis and Pokemon now adays. But I really don't even have the chance to play any new ones cause I have a PS2. There was one game that came out on Game Cube that looked cool but I don't remember it now.
