"Oui... We can do this, chere." He nuzzled her shoulder once more before taking a step back so that she could see his bright flash of a smile. "Ah can't think o' no one bettah to raise foals with. Think o' it, chere... We can have a whole herd o' 'em runnin' free."
In theory it sounded like a wonderful idea... Until her startled cry caught him offguard. "Y'allright, chere?"

Kitara flashed a somewhat straited smile at him. "As wonderful as that might sound, You dont have to birth them. " She chuckled a bit as her body tensed from the blow, little one was becoming quite powerful lately.
After a moment she woundered how long it would be before the foals would be born, she had after all procrastinated greatly in finally getting around to telling him. Her belly was swollen and she walked with a but of a wobble as her stomach made it hard to walk normally. "Not to alarm you, But I dont think It will be long before they are born... and I do think there is more than one. "

He stepped closer to Kitara, moving along beside her. He lowered his head, gently pressing his nose against her belly. When the next kick came he snorted softly, stepping back with a large grin on his face. "Boys. Big, strong 'uns jus' like me, chere... An' beautiful like you."

Kitara laughed a bit though she was growing ever more uncomfortable as the foals continued to move around inside of her. "Either that or some firey girls whom want to get out and explore already. Never the less, they're ours... and we're going to have our hands full....wild children. " she shook her head softly and smiled.
Although it was going to be nice to see the perfect blend of wild perfection that was Remy and Her own Spirit, she knew that they where going to be strong headed and stubborn...and probabbly have a death wish or two. Not to mention they would probably have their fathers charm.

"Non, they'll be boys." He nodded. Of course they would be. They had to be, kicking as hard as his nose had just been kicked.
He nuzzled Kitara's belly once more before tilting his head up towards her. "Y'allright, chere? Need somethin' ta drink? Somethin' ta eat? Anythin'?"

Kitara winced again as another hard kick found her mid section, It was then that she felt the wave of nasuea wash over her as pain gripped her body. The first of the labor pains.
Her amber eyes rolled back in her head and she shook her head franticly, sending her short white mane bouncing against her neck. "Ahhhh... No.. " she grit her teeth through the pain. "What I need... Is.. a ... two legger... Your boys are coming now Remy...." The pain left her in a rush and she almost fell to her knees. Wobbling she looked up at him. "I'm sorry I waited so Long...."

His eyes went wide. "Now?" He didn't need her to respond, really. "Now. The foals are coming now." He backed up, shifting uneasily on his hooves before bolting into the woods. Two legger... He had to find his Pretty Lady.
When he found her she seemed busy with the strange foals that he wasn't all that certain about but that didn't stop him from leaning down, giving her long, buckskin sleeve a tug while whickering. C'mon, chere... Ah need you ta help me... He seemed to plead with his eyes, giving her sleeve a tug again.
She looked up at the horse, brow furrowing as she swatted him away the first time, thinking he was jealous because she was paying attention to the smaller Soquili. When he tugged again she turned to him, searching his firey eyes as if that would somehow let her know exactly what he wanted.
It didn't, of course, but she did see enough animal 'desperation' to stand up, hurrying into her teepee to gather a large water skin, a blanket and some bandages... Not quite sure what she was getting herself into.
He did something he'd never done before. He stooped low enough for the young woman to climb onto his back, snorting once she was in place as if to say if you don't hold on it's your own dumb fault before taking off. Kitara was waiting for them. His foals were waiting for them.

Kitara nodded softly, her brown begining to bead with a fine sheen of sweat. She didnt respond, as only a small grunt managed to come out. She eased herself to the ground as he ran off in search of the two legger.
She lamented that she had waited so long, this would be such a shock to him, alot to take in in one night. She had let her fear of his rejection ruin things, but he was happy and that was all that mattered right now.
Another wave of pain crashed over her body and the mare thrashed her head against the ground. The dead grass cracking and falling over around her. The ground was chilly with frost and it was cooling her body down. The foals legs kicked hard against her sides as the shifted inside her, her body shuddered. They where indeed coming...

She had done her best to ease the mare's discomfort when she arrived, wishing that Remy could have somehow given voice to what was happening so that she wasn't caught so unprepaired. She shoved him away, relieved when Tsisqua emerged from the woods. Her companion could keep the stallion away while she and the mare did what they needed to do.
They could get the baskets that Soquili foals were kept in... The baskets she kept in her teepee were not dyed, but they would serve just fine to protect the foals until they were ready to meet the world. "Go, I will take care of them."
He shifted on his hooves, not quite sure whether or not he trusted the male two legger that was now leading him through the forest back towards the camp... But the Pretty Lady had told him to and, for that reason alone, he had. She wouldn't have sent him away if it wasn't necissary. He even carried the baskets on his back; one on each side while the two legged male carried a third... Just in case.
When they returned he approached the mare, touching his nose to her neck while keeping watchful eyes on Pretty Lady and the Brave as they carefully moved the small forms of his foals into the baskets. "... You alright, chere? D'ey alright? Everythin' go alright?"
(( Note: I did have permission to ad-lib Hatter's native persona for the purpose of this RP. Shar, I hope you don't mind that I did a little bit of a time lapse for the labor. I really don't know anything about foal-birth. XD; ))

(( hehe no worries. ^^ Ive kinda winged it before but admittedly I dont know much about it either. Best corse of action in this case I think. ))
The mare laid still on the ground, but for the movment of her ribs as she drank in the air around her. Her eyes where closed and her body was covered with a thick sheen of sweat, but she was fine. The smell of the birth was thick in the air around her and the bleeting calls of the foals from their baskets fortold that they where healthy and had a good set of lungs each.
Her eyes slowly opened, tiredly she looked at Remy. She chuckled and sat up, forcing herself to be on the move, it wouldnt due to lounge around all day, she had foals to tend to now. "I'm fine.... Just tired. " she glanced back at the baskets and the native woman who was shutting the lid to the last one. "they'll be strong soon enough, and Remy..." she said, letting her words hang in the air for a moment. "We have 3 beautiful foals, Two strong colts and a filly."

He touched his nose to hers before turning his head towards the baskets, watching carefully as Pretty Lady and the Brave moved away from the basket, eyes lingering for a moment on the male two-legger. He wasn't so bad, really...
"... Told you they'd be boys, didn't Ah, chere?" He moved to stand over the baskets, acting as their guardian for the moment. "You rest... Ah take care o' d'em..."
She stood off, watching the 'family' before taking Tsisqua by the wrist, leading him into the forest. They'd done their parts... It was time to let the family be a family.
