"Your father and I both agreed that the trip would be better when you girls were older," she said softly, her gaze falling away for a moment. Had Kiji told the girls that she'd left home as a cub, and hadn't seen her family for some time now? Or did they even WANT to tell the girls that at all? Pushing the thought to the back of her mind, Siku's focus returned to the girls.
"I take it, then, that by your enthusiasm, you're interested in going?" She asked gently, wanting to confirm both the girl's opinions
---
"Mother, I can easily say that I would love to go!" Ekevu pressed fiercely, nodding with great vigor. They were going to be going on a fantastic trip to see the world! A part of it anyway, but that was still a start. She was going to get to leave the jungle!
..Wait, leave? That meant.. she'd never see Jamala again! Worry taking her face, she turned back to her mother.
"I..I have to go tell Jamala! I'll be back!" Ekevu said, turning and taking off into the jungle.

Janja kept herself as attentive as possible, and had no hesitation what so ever in answering her mother's final question. Immediately, she nodded enthusiastically, "Yes! Of course, when are we going?" The little lioness was on her feet and staring excitedly at her mother when Ekevu asnswered, and then suddenly announced that she had to go tell someone. This took her mind off the excitement of going to the Pridelands, and put it on the strange action.
"Who's Jamala?" she asked, looking at Siku curiously, as if she would have the answer.

Siku watched her youngest daughter run off to announce the trip to Jamala, staring at the spot for some time. As Janja questioned her course of action, she turned to the eldest child.
"..I haven't the faintest clue, Jamja. Likely a friend of your sister's, from her course of action." Smiling softly, her gaze returned to the spot where Ekevu had disappeared into the thick of the jungle. It was good, at least, that her daughters were making friends more easily than she had a cub. They would be far better off than she ever was.
"The trip is likely to occur as soon as possible, so you're going to have very little time for goodbies." Siku said quietly, almost stonelike in posture as she considered the trip home once more.
"If you have any that need to be said, I'd best say them now."

Janja wrinkled her nose curiously and looked off in the direction that Ekevu had run. She hadn't heard of this friend, why wouldn't Kev have told her about them? She wasn't given much time to think about it before Siku informed her that the trip was going to happen soon.
"Really? W-why weren't we told sooner, then?" she asked, tilting her head. While she waited for an answer, she tried to think of who she should say goodbye to. It took her a minute before she thought of Hayate, she had said she would find him again so they could play again, but she never had. If her family left, she might never get to. That idea made her rather sad.
"I- I'm going to go look for someone," Janja said with a frown, not wanting to just run off without telling her mom. Kev was obviously worried, but Janja couldn't help but think it was a bit rude.

"Your father and I had to consider it, before we told you." Siku said, looking back to Janja with a smile. When she realized that she, too, had someone to tell, Siku nodded in understanding. All of the girls probably had someone special that they needed to say farewell to.
"Be careful, dear." She attatched at the last moment, in an oh-so-typically mother way. They were very leniant parents, but it never hurt to remind your children to be safe.
---
Uche had remained with the older lioness when Ekevu had taken off, trying to see her as a friend rather than a predator. He'd definately eased up slightly; his movements were a bit less twitchy, and he was managing to sit somewhat still now. Apparently, it would only be a short wait until they left for the Pridelands. He was going home!

Janja got to her feet and stumbled forward, snuggling up against her mother's leg before she turned around to run off to find Hayate. She had to tell him that they were leaving~
"I will, mom," she called back to Siku before she disappeared into the trees.

Sighing softly, Siku now watched her eldest daughter disappear into the trees, saddening softly at how quickly they'd grown. Oh, her cubs.. they were growing so quickly now. Turning to Uche, she smiled softly.
"Now then, little one, shall we return home?" Siku asked, then turned and headed in the direction of the waterfall.
--
Uche had nearly jumped at being addressed, nodding furiously at the older lioness. As she rose to leave, he willingly followed, the fear turning into excitement. He was going to have a family.. he was going to go home!
