Lol, I didn't realize until just now that Gab was incorrect about the same type of essence and soul being used in a raevan as Vyn has the Living Shadow one not the Ice Rose. This is especially noticeable now that Lucretia has emerged with that essence. So yeah, just wanted to correct that first. Yet, I can't think of any of the raevans having matching essences and souls. Besides it's like you said, it would be a bit of an overdose on the horse thing.
But your Corrupted Unicorn Horn is a very interesting essence. Just need a really good soul now. If I think of something I'll let you know. Good luck with getting your raevan made!

Overkill, yeah. Maybe someone else will be able to use it as a starting point for their ideas instead.

*nods* Well I was thinking the other night, but unfortunately I was only able to think of mythological souls. Like maybe a siren, a harpie, or maybe even a fury. Don't know if anyone else has them, haven't look everywhere yet. Though I hope this might help. mrgreen

It's still naughty for me to self bump, but I'm proud enough of my recent change to catalogue it for future reference. razz
I've tweaked it so it still relates to the Unicorn, but is more fitting to the general theme of essences. It's the idea of the Unicorn, rather than the Unicorn itself.
And I need to redraw the ideal Raevan, as certain features are now going to be missing! razz

Okay, wow, sorry. I've been meaning to critique your quest thread for a while (my 'MUST POST ON EVERY QUEST THREAD' complex is showing), but the emoticons all over the place have kinda been stopping me every time I try. It's a bit difficult for me to read the actual ideas when there are razz faces in like every other sentence. XD; Could you please clean that up? Sorry if I sound snappish or something- tossing in a smiley once in a while is fine in conversation, but peppering them over such a large amount of information is kinda detracting. 8D;
Anyway, I thought of this quest in particular when I was backreading the thread this morning. Corrupted Innocence is a neat idea for a fel essence, but Kyou said something along the lines of how ideas / nonphysical objects made possible to shove in a bottle are a bit overdone. There's already, uhh... lemme think for a sec. Tangible Dream's probably the best example of this, and there's also Divine Song as well as mine (Cloud of Despair) if you accept that it's a physical representation of negative emotions. Point is, if you can capture innocence (corrupted or not), then you could also capture justice and virtue and other things along those lines and soon Plato will rise from the dead and start feeding on the flesh of the unworthy due to how many ideas like that exist. The thought of something that pure becoming so directly tainted does have potential though, so running with that general idea could make for a pretty awesome Neutral Raevan of some kind - mmm. Dualistic balance. Just keep in mind that the fel essence relates to what the Raevan feeds off of. XD Eating innocence/purity would be kinda terrible, and that's ignoring it's debatable what innocence actually is. o.O
Holy hell that was a huge block of text, but now to look at your souls. I don't have any feelings either way, except the 'Nightmare' might be encroaching on the baku soul (Nue) a bit on the basis that it's a mythical creature that specializes in dreams somehow. If you want that one I'd go for the 'flaming horse' variety. That's just my personal opinion, though... as for the others, no feelings either way on them. What can I say, I can be hard to impress sometimes. :E

Yes, thank you. I had no idea how many faces I used until I sat and edited the posts. It must be a defensive thing, cause I honestly didn't notice how many there were!
I have taken out about 99% of them. If they creep in again, someone needs to hit me. I think it looks a lot better without them now!
As for the essence, I'm torn right now. I thought the Horn would be too much about something, which wasn't likely to be picked... But now the ideas seem to be too much... Ugh! So I don't know which fits what an essence is supposed to be. I might have to lean back to the Horn.
And souls, I've mostly discounted the Nightmare. It might be a bit too much with the essence. Flaming horse though, lot of a jokes in there... wink And horn and horse...
This is a lot harder than it looks.
I was thinking tiger actually, for no real reason other than it appealed to me in terms of appearance. It's part the drawings but I haven't written it into the souls yet.
I'm glad you came and commented though! You've been a help and hopefully I can get more critiques, now that people aren't wading through emoticons.

Me again! I meant to update yesterday because of my birthday but couldn't... Because of my birthday. Shameful.
I've updated the funds again, the items have dropped but with updates lately I suppose it happens.

I would like to hear more about the personality. It's easy to say "He's moody!" and be done with it. But does your character actually go out of his way to make others irritated? Does your character willfully go out and disrupt the lives of others? I would like to see at least a paragraph devoted entirely to your Raevan's personality.
Remember, it's always better to have too much, than not enough.

Hopefully he's a bit more fleshed out now and ready for more opinions.
