More space-monsters would be great - no more "let's freak people out just for the hell of it flesh-eating-villagers"! LOL, well, I suppose it was in contrast to the rest of the series but still... *brrrr*
I'd love to see more of Torchwood itself - I want to know what happened to Torchwood 1 after the battle (sure - destroyed - but you think that'll keep 'em down?), I want to meet the weird fellow who runs Torchwood 2 and I'd love them to 'find' Torchwood 4 rofl
(Though we're probably likely to find out more about Torchwood this season of DW, right?)
As for characters...I want to know about Bilis. He's got very time-lordish qualities that scare me...what is he??
I think they developed the characters all really well in S1, so yeah, just more of the same of that!

I want things on a totally new level now. We have peaked for the first seres and now it needs to get rough. The team have hopefully worked out their issues through such dramatic turns of events (shooting, affairs, etc) and now they should be ready to stand tougher challenges!
I also want to see some gay love making, lesbian or preferably two guys. I'm not asking for in your face smut but this is the guy that wrote queer as folk and he is gay!lol
I want to find out what the doctor has to say about Jack, and has abbadon sucked away his invunerability to death?
And what happened to Billis? Comeback anyone?Creepy though the old git is.

I'd like to see a bit more backstory for a couple of the characters - Owen springs to mind, and Tosh especially because of her involvement with the Doctor.

more Human like monsters liek some of the other people want.
and i dont want there to be any boring episodes like that one with the eyeball thing or watever it was...i forget now.... and i wanna know when jack comes in to the new series of doctor who
