"No, don't do that Ra. Don't do that to yourself," she said, shaking her head and placing a hand on the side of his face. "You can't change the way things are, so you really can't beat yourself up over things you think you should have done. I really doubt she would want you to do that to yourself," she smiled. "I'm sure she thought you were the best grandson she could possibly have."

"I know, but I never got to let her know how much she meant to me." he said, feeling a couple of tears slip out. "What if she thought I hated her because of what happened with mum and dad. I mean, I wasn't exactly on good terms when I saw her last. But she was always so good to me. Especially all those times I was in hospital and my parents had to work. She would come and sit with me all day and read to me or tell me about whatever she had been doing." He sniffed and wiped his eyes with his hand. "You don't know what you've got till it's gone right."

Obie felt so helpless as she watched the tears roll down Ra's cheeks. She wanted so bad to make his pain go away and knew that she couldn't. She knew all he needed was for her to be here for him and listen to him, but she just didn't feel like it was enough.
"Yeah. That's how the saying goes," she smiled softly. "I seriously doubt she thought you hated her. I'm sure she knew you loved her just as much as she loved you," she said, reaching up to brush away the trails of tears on his cheeks.

Ra sighed and smiled down at her as she brushed his tears away.
"I really wish you could have come. I'll probably be seeing my mum's family whilst I'm in the country too. I'm sure they'll all ask about you."h smirked and looked down again. he really didn't know what he would do with out her around.
"I'm going to tell my grandfather about us. I'll take one of the christmas pictures over for him to see."

Leaning forward, she pressed a soft kiss to his forehead and slipped her hand into his to squeeze it firmly.
"I wish I could come too love, but I'll be there to see you off and I'll be there to pick you up if you like. Just... make sure you call me or email me or something when you get there. I'll be a nervous wreck until I know you've landed safely," she smiled gently, then dropped her eyes down to their joined hands. "Only tell him if you think the timing is right. There's no need to upset him."

"That would be nice." He said with a soft smile, cupping her cheek and kissing her softly. "I'll see about timing. I'd like to tell him face to face. I don't like lying and I want him to know how much you mean to me. Not that I need their approval, I'd just like them to know about important things in my life."

Obie looked up into his eyes and smiled a little as he kissed her.
"I understand. I just... don't want to upset him when he's mourning," she said softly and leaned forward to kiss him once more. "Why don't we go lie down and see if you can sleep? It might help you a little," she suggested, tucking some of his waves behind his ear.

Ra nodded and stood, holding his hand out to her.
"Don't worry, I do have a sense of tact." he said with a small smirk as he led her towards her room. "I'm just letting you know. Is there anything you would like for me to get you? Any foreign goods from the airport?"

Obie slipped her hand into his and stood from the sofa. Following him to her bedroom, she smirked and moved to throw her books and things down onto the floor beside her bed. Glancing up at him at his question, she gave a small laugh as she looked away to pull the covers down for them.
"Um, nothing that I can think of love. Surprise me if you'd like to. You're always good at that," she smiled and slipped her arms around him to hug him for a moment, before pulling away to slip beneath the covers.

"Okay." he said with a smile as he stripped down to his shorts and slipped into the bed next to her. "Maybe I can find yo something local, from my gradparents village. It's so pretty, I'll take some photos to show you." He smiled and snuggled up next to her, his hand resting just below her chest. "Thank you B." He said softly as he pulled the covers up over them.

"I'd like that," she smiled and snuggled up close to him, again feeling a slight surge of nerves about him leaving her. Sure it was only for a few days, but they really hadn't been apart for that long in such a long time. And it made her sad that she wouldn't be able to help through this time in his life.
"No thanks needed Ne-chan. I only wish I could do more," she smiled lightly and pressed a soft kiss to his bare shoulder as she hugged him close.
