Actually, I like most of the characters. There are very few I dislike, and all of them are from TNG: I dislike Q, and I disliked Wesley, and I disliked his mother whenever she was with Wesley.

[ Aki Hime ] I don't know, I was raised on TNG so It's between Picard and Data for me. *sniffles* anyone else cry at the end of Nemesis? I crued and yelled at the screen (watched on DVD). came close to refusing to watch or participate in star trek ever again...at least until the next movie comes out...LOL

My favorite sharacter of all time is Captain Janeway. I like her because for the first time, we had a Captain who actually ahd emotions and who visited sickbay more than three times. And I would have said Data, BUT THEY KILLED HIM OFF!!!!!!!!!!! evil evil evil evil evil evil evil evil evil evil crying

Aww, no McCoy option. Well, Spock then. heart I've only watched the Original Series and at least one movie, so I don't recognize a lot of the others. But I am going to continue gaining as large a wealth of Star Trek knowledge as you people!

I think Janeway takes the trophy here, guys; she has some obvious (and no-so obvious) victories over other captains:
1. She's willing to break rules.
2. She has emotions, which often play into how she makes choices.
3. She's human, and as such, not immortal/invulnerable, and uses the sickbay frequently enough to prove it.
4. Janeway's a gambler to the extent of her alliance with the Borg (though only in a practical sense), and she does a whole lot of things without knowing the honest outcome.
5. She speaks from her heart, and lets her heart and mind play into decisions (Unimatrix Zero?).
6. Her code of morals is absolute, whereas her code of loyalty to the Prime Directive is not always--morals and the P.D. conflict a lot, yes?
7. She's a female captain on an impossible journey back home--of course she's cool!!!
