Kaosu grinned. "She's not so much of a pushover as Ugu-sensei is. This might be interesting." However, Kaosu didn't reply to what the teacher said. He referred to sensei's only when he truly respected them.
He didn't respect this woman. He called it a challenge, and he was up for it. Kaosu then took out some thin, white pieces of wrap and covered his hands in a thin coating of the material; only about two wraps around. He rubbed his feet quickly, in order to increase circulation. He coughed discreetly into his arm, hoping no one would notice.
"Hakuda, huh? This better be worth the wait."

The lack of an answer was all the indication of this one's attitude that she needed. She moved up to him as he prepared, standing face to face with him, or at least, face to upper shoulder, as she stared upward into his face.
"You will be paired with me." eyes narrowed just slightly, as she focused on the face of the taller young man.
"Tsai, you will be paired with..." her eyes glanced back, and past him, as if waiting for someone to enter the door.

Kaosu nodded. "Hoo-boy, this will be interesting." Kaosu did a few quick stretches while talking to the teacher, Houjun. "Sounds like fun. When are we gonna get started? Now? When others show up?"
Kaosu knew he was letting his emotions freely flow. "Emotions...one of the things I'm the worst at." However, Kaosu knew how to withhold one emotion: nervousness. He had almost perfected the art of showing absolutely no fear. Instead, he replaced it with eagerness.
Once he was finished stretching, he looked back down, straight into the teacher's eyes, and hesitated a moment. He could tell she meant business, but he had no idea how strong she was. "Should I hold back or give it my all?"
Kaosu gave her the slightest of nods. "Whenever you're ready," and with a mocking tone, "sensei"

Tsai smacked his head after watching Kaosu's pride at full bloom. "That guy's ego is bigger than his head..." he uttered in his head as he began shaking it. Tsai sat down and began stretching his legs, since he would probably need to use them later. He waited for Houjun-sensei to give him his opponent to spar with.
"I wonder who else passed the basic zampakuto class besides us?" he looked around the room and then began to day dream about his field trip in the Mortal World. He wanted to go back to resume his research on hollows and maybe train a bit and observe other shinigami at work. But he would need Ugu-sensei to guide him there if he wanted to go.

Mai walked into the classroom briskfully. She knew she was on time for once and walked in smiling. Tsai and the other guy, Kaosu was here already. Along with another girl. She looked pretty tough, Mai had no idea that that was the teacher. "Hey guys," she waved at Tsai and Kaosu as she briskfully walked towards them.

The irony of the younger looking woman, who bore a seriousness was that Mai was likely right. Considering she *was* shorter than the student she was facing off against, it would be difficult to imagine her as anything but another student.
Of course, at the mocking tone used to address her, she seems to almost snap inside herself, and for a brief moment, there's a tiny flare of reiatsu, very brief, before she lunges forward, a movement that's almost so fast it's hard to follow with the normal eye, her right fist lashing out in a backhand strike as she twists hard on the balls of her feet as she approaches the young man.
No sooner has she struck the first time, than the second blow is also given, pivoting on the ball of her left foot as her right leg makes contact with his shoulder, letting her leg linger on impact, so that he's sent flying, and just as fast as that, she's following after him.
As he sails over the mats on the floor, she goes from being along side him, to just behind him, her elbow slamming backward into his spine, the blow striking just right, sending him sailing back the way he'd come, and then, suddenly, there she is, right in front of him, only instead of landing another blow, she catches the young man, stopping his impact with her arms, as she skids back across the mats.
Her voice when she speaks again is quiet, and disarming, compared to the expression on her face, though her eyes close. "Don't show disrespect when you haven't even given me a chance to earn your respect. I can teach you a lot during your time, but you have to be willing to extend the courtesy of respect to me first. If I give you a reason to disrespect me later, that's fine. But give me the benefit of the doubt first." and gently, she lowers him down toward the floor.
It's apparent from the way she moves that she has been holding back her full strength, and more than that, that she's been holding back the amount of times she could have struck him. Considering the 'possible' damage, what she's done is pretty minimum.

Tsai chuckled while he sat down watching Kaosu get his a** beaten by the teacher without even struggling. "Man oh man, I hate the see what happens if every teacher did that to you" Tsai shook his head and then looked at Mai. "Finally show up for class?" he asked as he got up to greet her, but at the corner of his eye he watched as the teacher beat Kaosu as if he was a mere ant and dropped him.
The teacher was something, using combination of the most basic shunpo and Hakuda and taking Kaosu down in less than a second. Something Tsai wished to do with his own style of fighting. "Coincidentally, Mai, your my sparring partner for this class" he said to her.

"Eh? The teacher is here already," she hadn't noticed Kaosu get beat up by the teacher who she thought was a student. Then she was suddenly shocked to see Kaosu on the floor while the other girl carefully placed him on the floor.
"Oh..." she was embarassed that she didn't see the teacher. "Sorry, sensei, I didn't know you were the teacher," she apologized. "So I am Tsai's partner if I am correct?" she asked.

Kaosu glared fiercely at the teacher, barely following the blurred first strike. He was about to put his hands up to block when the hit connected. His eyes widened as it slammed into him, and grunted at the force of the impact. He was just about to regain his footing when the second impact snapped right onto his right shoulder, making it go numb in a matter of seconds. "What the hell is she?" He thought as he tried frantically to regain his balance mid-air.
However, instead of the landing he desired, again he was slammed in the opposite direction. This connection stung worst of all, as his back had a large bruise on it; he had the great misfortune of having it struck, and that hard. He didn't hold it back that time as he growled loudly in pain. "T-t-there's no way...i-i-it's impossible..." Rang through Kaosu's head as he flew. "Is...is this truly what a shinigami is capable of?"
He was about to think more on the subject when he saw the image of the class sensei appearing right in front of him. "I'm gonna die." He thought. "I am going to die, all because of my stupid mouth. Stupid, stupid, stupid!!!" He curled into a mediocre cannonball, waiting for the next impact; when it didn't come.
He felt two comparably small arms across his back as he opened his eyes. He looked over to the sensei's face and looked into them, his hidden nervousness and eagerness replaced this time with a mix of fear and hate. However, he didn't have time to say anything, he simply rolled out of the sensei's arms and landed onto the nice, soft mats.
"Ow." Kaosu could only manage. For another time, his right arm was temporarily useless, his back ached like some hollow decided to step on him, and his ego just got flushed down the toilet; along with his pride.
"Oooow." Kaosu moaned, as he slowly tried getting up. He instead settled for lying on his back. Then, for the first time, Kaosu decided to speak, staring at the ceiling. "I'm not good with words, that's why I try not to use them. Just ask Tsai, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed. But that's not the point here." Kaosu pulled himself up into a sitting position, still not looking at the sensei. "And, I apologize if I...came across as rude. It wasn't my intention, but that's usually how I act. Again, just ask Tsai." Kaosu took a deep sigh and a big breath. He didn't like speeches. Then, he looked the sensei in the eyes. "But I make up for my stupidity with strength and guts. Sorry."
Kaosu moaned again as he attempted again to get up. "And...don't worry about respect." He finally got up on his feet, and flashed a big grin. "You've got all of mine."
Then, silently, he walked over to his bag, took his zanpaku-to off, and walked back to the middle of the room. "You still my sparring partner?"
Another grin.

The young woman had slipped into class at her earliest opportunity, but it had taken time to slip unseen out of Megumi's clan manor. The last thing she'd wanted was him getting into trouble because of her. Her being who she was, after all, just another piece of trash in the eyes of most nobles. Then again, she was training to be a Shinigami, so maybe that would have made a difference. She hadn't taken the time.
Ran adjusted her haori as she made her way into the class, pulling her zanpaktou from her obi as she moved, leaning it against the racks. A smile was flashed to those gathered, as she rolled her shoulders to and fro.
"Sorry I'm late'. Got kina' caught up in things'."

Korin merely shook her head at Kaosu, watching him move back to his feet, her eyes following as he placed his zanpaktou in the designated place.
"I'm glad." her only comment in regards to her having his respect. When she turned to Tsai and Mai, she nodded.
"You two are partnered. And you, Kaosu, will actually be paired with that young woman." she indicated Ran, before folding her legs beneath her as she settled down on the ground.
"Before anyone does any fighting, I want all of you to work on introductions, as well as a few practice laps, and stretches. Hakuda is very taxing if one doesn't warm up first. Then, we'll go through the basics of blocking and guarding. One step at a time."

Mai unstrapped both her zampakuto from her sash and lay them by the door. She began wrapping her hands, she was wearing socks, so she didn't need wraps there. The duty of wrapping was soon completed as she began stretching for a few minutes before she took a breath and began with an introduction.
"My name is Mai Takahashi, please to meet you, Houjun-sensei, and others" she bowed slightly with respect to the woman standing infront of her, and got back up and nodded to the others, her usual good, innocent girl routine. She got up with a smile. "I'm glad that we have a woman for a teacher this time," she smiled.

Tsai watched as Ran entered the room he began thinking about the different styles of unarmed combat that were in this room.
"Mai will be a tough one, her skills with her zampakuto are already greater than mine even though nothing is practiced about it. And from my current information on Mai, she'll probably have a Hakuda style that hasn't been practiced either. A freestyler.
Kaosu, from what I got on him, and the training I helped him with, he's probably more refined with Hakuda but also has a free-style of combat. But then again, he did learn something when I trained him. Maybe he found a style to fight with?
Then, there is Ran-san. From the spar I had with her in Zanjutsu class, she'll have a fast free-style most likely, which makes her a deadly opponent for Kaosu".
All these thoughts went through Tsai's head as he finished stretching. He smiled as he watched Ran enter the room. The class would begin soon. Tsai had introduced himself already and basically everyone in the class knew him either from previous classes or personally.
Tsai looked around there were only 3 students besides himself in the classroom, it was kind of small compared to the Zanjutsu class but then again, there weren't that many students at the academy. The classroom was quite small for jogging, what did the teacher mean exactly? Were they going outside to jog or something?

Kaosu nodded. "Aight, suits me just fine. Any partner is a good partner." He rolled his shoulders as he continued, "Aaaand...mostly everyone here knows me. But, I guess I might as well." He grinned widely as he stated: "Hi, the name's Kaosu Ranmyaku. I'm the one that just got my a** handed to me by our sensei. Any other questions, we can discuss over a light spar or something."
Then, Kaosu looked around. "Um, this place is reaaaally small for running. How many laps are we doin'?" Kaosu continued his stretches, until he was content. He was going to show off his flat-out running skills against the rest of the class. But, it wasn't much. "Humm...not too many people passed last class."
