To quote Hughe O'Brien "To be enthusiastic, you must act enthusiastic."

Which is actually based around sound psychological principles, namely the social psychology principle thta "attitude justifies behavior."

By acting enthusiastic you become enthusiastic, because your attitudes mold around the new behavior you have integrated. It is similar to how brainwashing works. Force someone into doing something long enough, and they will want to do it... and think it was their choice the entire time.

XD Yeah
That's also because of Christian country majority...and the fact that a pope set it in as a used calender
...So?

Hypothetical situation:

You're walking down the road, on a warm summer evening, when a man stumbles drunkenly out of an alley and tells you his friend John is a bright guy, knows his stuff. He follows you a little, saying what his buddy John, who died a little while ago, had to say.

Freaked out a little? Probably.

Similar situation. Only he says that the late Pope John Paul II had some words of wisdom for the world. You might care just a little more. You may not care for the Pope, but knowing that the person held the position, it will hold more meaning.

Still freaked out? Probably.

If some guy named George, and his Italian friend made a new calendar, no one would have really cared. Even people who dislike Catholicism and Christianity will still pay the Pope some attention, if grudgingly. The Pope suggests it/uses it so other people pick it up. Think of it as a global meme.
It was more of a sarcastic "so". As an arguing 5-year-old might say. I'm fully aware of all that you stated.

And to your second post, I don't quite agree with that. I used to (and often still do) put on a facade around other certain other people to make them think I'm happy and carefree. I pretend(ed) to be enthusiastic, and I appeared to be enthusiastic, but was I enthusiastic? Hell no. I was just as miserable, if not more miserable, than I ever was. That is also not uncommon.
