"Where sand meets the ocean..." It wasn't a question, more of a thought. She liked the way that sounded - poetic, calming and hopeful. An ocean licking the dying heat of a desert. Even if she only meant a beach, it sounded like so much more. Blinking almost blearily, she nodded. "It is lovely."

At the mention of a brother, one who didn't seem to much care for the temple, Midori's brow furrowed, "He doesn't enjoy it here?"

Kivelli, for the hundreth time that day, gave a watery chuckle and shook her head lightly. "I'm only assuming since he follows the God of Water. We're surrounded by desert, which is fine with me, but I'm sure he misses home much more than I."

She nodded slowly, her expression slightly pensive in thought as she tried to imagine being so far from one's God. From one's home, even. She sighed, "I can barely comprehend being away from such a large extension of one's God, but surely he finds solace in the pools and streams here?"

"I'm sure he does...I've never had to worry about him, and I'm sure he would've said something if he was really upset," she replied.

Kivelli blinked and looked over at the sleeping male. "Are you two related or...?" she questioned, looking back at the green Maluess. It took her a few seconds to actually realize she might be delving in a topic too personal or such.

"Oh, forgive me...Didn't mean to sound nosey..."

The female blinked as well at the inquiry, looking between Kivelli and Rohirrim before the question fully registered. She laughed, letting it die to a smile before responding, "Oh, no, not related and certainly not mates. We grew up with one another, and my mate is elsewhere."

Her mate. That sounded wierd, seeing as how she and Gustave had not actually known each other long. But it seemed right, so she continued without a thought, "And don't apologise. Though I'm certainly not an open book, I do not keep my own secrets. Only those of others."

Kivelli gave a sheepish giggle, twitching an ear now and then as she did so.

"That sounds nice. And you do have a mate? Oh that's lovely, congratulations! May I ask for his name?" Questions and comments spewed from the other like water from a fountain.

She blushed, though it was barely perceptible beneath her green coat. Red eyes flashing with some suppressed happiness as she replied, "Gustave." She nodded, laughing light at the other maluess' sudden talkativeness, though she was by no means annoyed.

Kivelli took on an almost approving, soft, motherly look for a moment towards the other's feelings as she uttered apprently beloved's name.

"He sounds wonderful already and I've only heard the name! How'd you two meet?" Again another poking question.

"He stumbled across me one late evening. He was on his way to enjoy the fog." She neglected to say that this was only just under a week ago. And that they were already planning on starting a family. It was quick; but when you knew it was time, she supposed, you knew. "What of yourself, Kivelli?"

The sand maluess gave a soft, watery, laugh. "Really, now? Hope you don't mean it in literal terms."

Laughter faded a little, but a smile still remained, as ears caught Midori's own question. "Me? A mate? Haha, no, no. At least no one here, but I had a few crushes and other things back home when I was a little younger. It was never serious though."

"No, hardly literally. I had just woken from a nap and he was passing by." She smiled at the thought of it before her ears turned at the other maluess' response. Her smile remained as well, and her tone was hardly mothering but minutely hopeful as she retorted, "It will come when you least expect it. I had no intentions of settling down when Gustave showed up. I dare say he hadn't either."

The sand maluess nodded in understandment towards the other female's words. "I have no doubt about that...none at all." She gave a fond little chuckle and let her eyes stray up to the circle in the ceiling.

"It appears that the storms stopped....or well, at least calmed some," she said as she rose to her feet. Sand fell off her belly and legs before flying off in a cloud as she shook herself.

The maluess looked up at the opening in the ceiling, taking note of the severe drop in sand flying by. The howling outside had also calmed to a soft hum before she glanced at Rohirrim. "I think," her smile turned to Kivelli, "that I will stay here with him for awhile. A nap sounds wonderful." Being up through the night with her mate was turning her into a bit of a night creature, but so far she could get away with short naps through the day.

Blinking, the maluess's familiar smile slid over her maw as she nodded. "You're welcome to stay as long as you wish and drop by when ever you like, and that goes for your mate and Rohirrim as well. However," she sniffed and flicked an ear, smile still upon her,"I'm going to head outside now and see how much sand has been blow into the fountain."

With her watery giggle, she bowed her head. When she was half way out of the doorway, she looked over her shoulder. "It was very nice meeting you, Midori, and do tell your friend, when he wakes up, that it was a pleasure meeting him too."

"With that, Kivelli loped out of the room and down the hall, her hooves echoeing along with what sounded like a "BEST OF LUCK"... which had undoubtedly been yelled back down the hallway.
