Reira laughed, not knowing quite what to say to that. Instead, she let the wind carry her, as if she were simply floating for a few seconds, and then flapped her wings to get back up to at least the height of the roof again, repeating these motions as she stayed close to the roof of the bar. Even if she did love using her power for little moments like this, fatigue tended to hit her fast, so she didn't want to stray too far.

Tiki Jim floated a little lower. "I like to touch the water..." he said as he let his feet dip in the water as he flew over. Tiki Jim flew as fast as Reira to keep up to her. He didn't want her leaving him behind. He very much enjoyed her company. Ever since they were little.

Tiki Jim chuckled a bit at the thought of them surfing as children. He then looked up at her and how much she had grown and him as well. "Have I said you are very beautiful?" He asked in a soft voice. Maybe he should confess his feelings? She can only say she likes him as a friend only. At least they would still be friends.

((What a tangled web Reira weaves! In case you've been keeping up with the Winter Formal, I'm not sure where it should be inserted in Reira's timeline compared to this, since both are fairly slow RP... Just thought that it should be noted. ^-^))

Reira joined Tiki Jim down near the water. She reached down with her hand and trailed it in the water, making a little streak along the calm surface. She didn't even need to flutter her wings, due to the steady breeze. Looking back, she smiled warmly. "Thankyou... You're pretty handsome yourself," she replied.

Go figure, the gust she'd been riding ended right then, and before her mind registered, she was falling into the water. She fluttered her wings to get back out, splashing as she did so. Realizing she'd done a fairly good job of kicking a few beads of water at Tiki Jim's face, she darted over and reached up to wipe them away. "I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed, not sure whether to laugh or repent. "I wasn't paying attention!"

((Oh, well not really... Though I see now... I don't know. Tiki Jim has liked her for a bit and I thought this was a good time to point it out. The sunset and all... sweatdrop ))

Tiki Jim blushed and smiled. "Yeah? Thanks so much! You know... I really like you... more then a firend, I think...." He was cut off by her splashing into the water. Some hit him and he chuckled.

"Are you okay? It's okay wipe outs are fine!" Tiki Jim chuckled some more as she wiped the water away.

((I think she's turning into the type of girl who believes everything is good, while being an absolute drama-magnet herself. And I decided that would all happen at some point before this, since that's all fairly well over and this is still going on, and also because it'll mean she's not so dumb about things. xd Poor dear just gets caught up in too much! ))

"I'm okay, I was just surprised! I still haven't mastered things..." she giggled, a bit embarassed. "But that's true - wipeouts are okay. And using my power is a lot like surfing, just using wind instead of water!" She liked that analogy and smiled, content.

And then Reira's heart skipped a beat. Her mind had finally caught up with what Tiki Jim had been saying, or at least what she thought she'd heard him say. Wasn't that how it was described in fairy tales, when a prince and princess finally find eachother? "What were you saying...?" she attempted quietly as she looked at Tiki Jim.

((Alrighty. ))

Tiki Jim then blushed and looked back up at her. "Oh...um... well, I was just saying that I really like you... you know more then just as a friend. But, if you don't that's okay. As long as you stay my friend." He brushed his hand through his hair.

He didn't want to lose her as a friend, but he knew he had to tell her. It wouldn't be right to let it sit in his heart and head.

A shy smile crept onto Reira's face. "I... I'm glad," she replied. "I mean, I..." Her voice seemed to get lost as the blush on her face spread. Looking down at her hands, she fidgeted for a few moments before looking back up. "I think I feel the same." She didn't know what else to say or do, so after a few seconds she looked away again, trying to calm the heat on her cheeks.

Tiki Jim smiled a very wide smile. "Really?" He was a little suprised, not that she would like him back but that it ended well. He had heard about his family's problems with love.

Tiki Jim leaned over to her. He wanted to give her a kiss, so he thought he would give it a try.

When Reira looked back to Tiki Jim, he was considerably closer than he'd been before. She nearly jumped, but she wasn't exactly startled. She was something else... Anxious, maybe? When it came, she accepted the kiss, and returned it. For a few seconds, everything just seemed right. "Really," she replied with a light laugh and a warm smile.

She was so ecstatic that she could hardly keep it to herself. She threw her arms around Tiki Jim's neck, giving him an encompassing hug. "I'm so happy!" she laughed, as if it wasn't obvious.

Tiki Jim was quite pleased with the kiss. It was his first and it was wonderful. He blushed deeply as she hugged him. "Me too! Very awesome, princess!"

Tiki Jim floated down at bit with the extra weight of Reira. "I think we better land on land." he chuckled.

Reira looked down to see the water very close below them. "Oh! I guess we should," she replied, letting him go. She took her time and floated back toward the water's edge, glancing up at the sky as she did so.

"It's such a clear night," she commented, trying to pick out pictures in the stars as she flew.

Tiki Jim smiled and flew after her. "Oh, yes it's a great night. A wonderful night." He beamed as he was very happy. The sunset, Reira and now the stars.

Tiki Jim landed on the beach. "So, where is your house from here?" He looked up at her with a smile.

Reira looked around, realizing that they had landed on the coast near one of the island's forests. "Uhmm..." she stalled, looking around. It really was getting quite dark, and she very rarely returned home after sunset. Somehow, the forest looked a lot more mysterious and intimidating at night.

And then she started to wonder which forest's coast they were on. She'd heard enough rumors to stay away from the Dragnid forest... Frantic, she made a mad grab for Tiki Jim's hand. She was not about to get lost from him.

"Well, let's see..." she began, trying her best to remain calm. She looked to her left, and in the moonlight she could barely make out the waterway that divided the two forests. That meant she was at the right forest, and they were safe. The beach was off toward the right, a fair distance away. "It should be this way," she informed him, beginning toward the beach. "It's not very far inland, so we'll be able to see the light from the coast!"

Tiki Jim took her hand happily. "It's pretty dark tonight." He chuckled nerviously. This was the first time he had ever left the beach. He was glad he was with Reira.

"Okay, that's good." Tiki Jim smiled and walked with her looking for her home. He looked to the water to see it. It was a nice veiw.

"It is, but it's pretty," Reira replied. She was busy trying to pick out little pictures in the stars. One group caught her eye; altogether the stars seemed to form the outline of a surfboard. She smiled, thinking about how she'd have to go surfing again sometime.

When Reira looked back to the forest, she saw a light a little ways ahead, to her left a bit. "Oh, there it is!" She pointed it out. The light from the windows revealed a few facts about her home: It was fairly small (most of the place was one room that served as a bedroom on one side and kitchen on the other) and made mostly of logs. The place wasn't at all new, but it was water-tight and comfortable.

Knowing that Laugh-a-Lot would be inside, and unsure if Tiki Jim would want to stay either way, Reira slowed her pace a bit and looked out over the water.
