Lol, i've read somewhere that the game developers decided to change his character a little, putting him a lot more important in the story, just because they thought he looked cool enough.
I'm glad they did. He's my favorite. (Actually, in all my FF's favorite male guys, he's in third place!)

maybe my third favorite male character,by far my favorite character in that game. he's so arrogent it's funny, and I LOVE his motion with a gun it's like "...screw you..." BOOM!

When I first saw balthier use his gun, I thought "wow, this guy's cool." And later when I finally got some onion shot, I gave everyone guns. I just love the long-rangedness. ninja

Balthier is awesome. When he was first introduced into the story, I thought he was brilliant, and he's been my favorite character in XII ever since. I love his attitude and his accent. plus he looks hot lol

Balthier is freakin' awsome twisted I loved when you first met him in the cut scene xD riding in on the bike =P that was awsome =P ((wonder if we'll get to give him a gun blade some time XD))

Balthier is teh best hands down. Fran is also wicked awesome, and I have no freakin clue as to the importance of vaan, he is so annoying... GAH! ninja

he's my fav for many reasons...... he's a pirate (yeay pirate) he's cool with a gun, he's HOT(#5 on my list), he's important to the overall story line, he's better than all the other characters in the game, he's smart, cool, and i think i'm about to repeat myself. xd
