Obie sat back with her leg tucked under her and smiled as she traced her finger along the smooth surface of her glass. "Ra," she supplied with a smile. "Short for Rashne. It's Persian, but I could see how it could easily be mistaken for Egyptian." Pulling the glass closer to her, she looked down at the dark liquid, then back up at Sib. "He's got a study group tonight. He's just as bad as we are," she smiled. "He's pre-med like me, but a year behind, so we don't have the same classes," she explained, lifting the glass and taking a small sip.
"But I know what you mean though. So many people come and go here, it's hard to keep up with all their names. How about you? Do you have someone you've abandoned for the evening?" she asked with a small smirk and slightly larger sip of her drink.

"Oooh persian, very hot." She smirked as she took a mouthfull of drink. "You'll have to drag him out next time. life's to short to be studying so much." She laughed and gave Obie a wink. "Nah, no one ... well, I have a date-ish with the Korean guy, Jun. I invited him to my recital in a few weeks and out for dinner after, though ... I'm not sure if he'll want to come. I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to hang out with him since. He'll have probably lost interest."

Obie laughed and nodded, though she had to admit she was enjoying having a girl's night. It had been ages since her last one. "I wouldn't give up hope on him just yet. Jun is a sweet guy and more attentive than you might think," she smiled and took another sip. It had been a -very- long time since she had last had a drink and she found it surprisingly easy to not give it a second thought. "What sort of recital is it?" she asked.

"I hope so." she said with a smile as she continued to drink. "I think it's time I let guys into my schedule, otherwise i'm going to really have no life."
At Obie's next question she smiled and traced her finger down the condensation on the glass. "It's a violin recital. I have to preform a full classical solo, something I am so nervous about. It is a hefty amount to my final grade this year." She smiled again and looked around the club that was filling up quickly. "How's your drink? i know it's not to everyone's taste. I can get you a spirit if you like?"

Obie gave a soft snort of laughter and small nod. As she went on to explain what sort of recital she would be doing, Obie continued to drink as she listened. "Wow. No pressure there," she smirked a little. "That's impressive though. I know there is no way I could get on stage and preform like that. I'll bet you'll do an amazing job though," she smiled, then glanced down at her drink as Sib asked her about it. No. She really shouldn't. She should stay away from the harder liquors. Her eyes flickered over towards the bar and she could hear that nagging voice 'what harm could one possibly do?'.
"Actually Jack and coke sounds good right now," she smiled and looked back at Sib. "Though this is good," she said, lifting her glass with a nod and taking another large sip.

"jack?" Sib smirked as she stood. "Come now, I'll get you a jameson's, keeping in the spirit of the evening. None of your american liquor." She laughed as she went off to the bar to get them a couple of whiskys, doubles so they wouldn't have to go up so often.
"There you go." She said placing the drinks down on the table and sliding into her seat. "And just give me a shout if you can't keep up, I have my father's ability to handle the drink."

Obie smirked and watched Sib get up to grab them some whiskey. Glancing out over the bar, she found it amusing to be in an Irish bar in Japan. About to listen to Irish music no less, with an Irish girl. Why bother leaving Japan, she thought as she finished off her drink and blinked a little as Sib set their fresh ones down in front of her. "Will do," she smiled up at the vivacious girl and slid her empty glass off towards the edge of the table and picked up one of the whiskeys. "To mindless fun?" she suggested with a smile as she lifted her glass towards Sib.

"To mindless fun." Sib smirked chinking her glass with Obie's before fairly downing it.

They barely made it onto the last train back for laughter. Sib had her arm around Obie and was supporting her as they stumbled onto the carrige and took some seats. "And here I was thinkin' you could hold your drink. You lying eejit." She said with another snort of laughter, her accent a lot thicker than usual. "You know, now we should sing danny boy at the tops of our voices and scare off the locals, just for the craic."

Obie was trying her best to stifle her giggles, but not doing a good job of it. Covering her mouth with her hand as they collapsed into some seats, she barely managed to keep herself from bursting out with laughter at Sib's words. Or at least she assumed they were words. She sounded funny to begin with, now she was hysterical since she couldn't understand most of what she was saying. "We should," she smirked as she leaned against Sib in an effort to find something constant in the roiling of the train and to keep herself from falling off the seat, which she felt like she was going to do any moment. "But I don't know the words," she slurred, looking up into Sib's blue eyes... well... attempting to look up into them.

Sib laughed and put her arm around Obie's shoulders. "nah, me niether, well not ithout the music." She laughed, sticking her tongue out at a salaryman who was staring at them open mouthed across from them. "How abouuuuuut, nah i can't think. The only songs i can remember are total shyte for singing drunk." She almost collapsed into laughter again and sank down in the seat, her skirt slipping up a bit. "I fail at being Irish." She fell silent for a moment and raised a pierced eyebrow at the man again. "Why's he staring at us?" She asked Obie. "Dirty b*****d."

Obie laughed and slipped her arm around her friend's waist to keep herself steady and smirked at the man who was ogling them. "You fail, I fail, we all fail, it's all good," she smirked and leaned back in the seat, resting her head on Sib's shoulder. Lifting her hand, she pointed at the man and smirked. "Oi! Take a picture. It will last longer," she managed to call out to him in an odd garbled mix of English and Japanese, well... somewhere deep down inside she hoped it was Japanese. But at the exact moment, she honestly could care less. "I think, he thinks we're weird," she said, returning her erratic eyes to her friend. She felt so nice and warm and happy. Everyone should feel like this... all the time, she decided randomly.

"Us?" Sib laughed, tears of laughter falling as obie shouted at the man. "We're not wierd, he's the one who looks like a big Koi." She said with a snort of laughter. "When irish eyes are smilin'" she sung randomly as the train pulled up to a halt. "jesus, we're here." She said grabbing Obie's hand and dragging her off the train just before the doors slid closed. "Sure, 'tis like the morn in Spring. In the lilt of Irish laughter You can hear the angels sing. When Irish hearts are happy, All the world seems bright and gay. And when Irish eyes are smiling, Sure, they steal your heart away" She continued her song as they wove their way off the platform and towards the university. "You know Obie, you're an absolute star. i haven't had so much fun in a loong time."

Obie just about died laughing when Sib compared him to a koi and allowed her to drag her blindly off the train and towards the University. Leaning heavily on Sib, Obie continued to giggle as she listened to Sib's drunken singing. At her next words, she gave a rather loud snort of laughter and tripped up a little but managed to save herself from falling flat on her face. "Me neither Sib. Not fun like this. But I don't know about the whole star bit. No stardom for me," she declared with a large, lopsided grin.

"Yes, i insist." Sib declared as they continued on their wobbly path. "You are a star. Tis a shame I am not a nun, i could make you a saint." she laughed again and held Obie fast as they walked along the uneven path. "Oh god this is going to hurt tomorrow. I'm glad it's friday."

Obie laughed some more and held tight to Sib. "No gain no pain Sister Sib," she smirked, mixing up her words and feeling herself become even more inbriated as they manuevered the steps up into the dorms. "Why can't this bloody place have esclalators," she grinned as she reached out for the door handle.
