The Shaman in training intook another breath and slowly exhaled. A reassuring, comforting smile spread wide across his maw as he began to focus and let his powers overtake him, guiding him to heal and bring about tranquility to the wolfess once again or whatever would be allotted in her aid.

"You know what you must do," Caylith calmly spoke within his mind. "Focus."

His mind became unshackled and let itself focus on the soul importance of healing and helping Nix rid of whatever plauged her. Although he did not have the intense powers like the Seers to dive within anothers mind, Reno was envisioning and using his strength to remove the emotional burdens and weights that toppled themselves upon the wolfess in scattered places. He could feel his body exherting itself, his spirit feeling as if it was tugging and pressing against the memories and forgotten experiences that held pain, remorse and great sadness.

Around his paws, an aura began to encircle and emit a bright light that gradually became brilliant, pure light. He could feel his body losing its own warmth as his own life energy was being sacrificed, freely given to the wolfess by means of love and selflessness.

Reno winced as his whole body began to tremble and shake. Forgetting his own health and putting all his efforts into helping Nix, the Shaman in training's ocher eyes became cloudy and overcast, lost in a glassy pool of vibrant ocher hue.

"Let your body be free, don't reflect upon the darkness...seek the light," he calmly adressed as his pupiless eyes narrowed. "Seek the light."

The Shaman suddenly gasped for breath and withdrew his paws from off of his brothers mate. With the completion of the healing and hoping that it was of some use, Reno staggered and tried to stay balanced. Pupils that once were lost returned within his orbs and leveled to meet the icy orbs of the wolfess.

"It-it is done," Reno panted as the sacrificing of his own strength and stamina had been selflessly given to the wolfess. Tired, emotionally and physically drained, Reno stumbled and fell down on his side.

"Reno!" Cellen yelped as he leapt up and ran to the side of his brother. "Are you alright, Mate? Reno, speak to me!"

Silence.

Stirring from her sleep, Jaylin blinked only to find her Dad standing above her brother pleading and scared. What was going on? Looking at Reno, Jay knitted his brows in concern and unaware of what had happened.

"What's going on?"

Nix watched as Reno seemed to close his eyes, what was he going to do? She was nervous, she knew it. she looked to Valen and he seemed to feel it from her, sat close to her and watched with concerned eyes. She loved her son, her daughter, Cellen, all of them. Soon she saw a glow, felt a warmth, closed her eyes. Everything flashed before her eyes in a whirlwind of images and sounds.

She tensed up, closed her eyes more, seeing, watching, missing them all, but light came, then faded, they were gone, something felt like it had been lifted from her. She opened her eyes and Reno had stood up, she smiled at him. Quietly said, "Thank you."

Then he fell over.

"Reno!" Nix said standing up, but Valen got there first, "Wake up! Please, get up!" Valen looked to dad with almost teary eyes...had mom killed his uncle. "Dad help him!"

The young Shaman laid motionless as shallow breaths caused his chest to rise in a minuscule attempt. Though he didn’t seem to be alive at all and was unresponsive, his mind was listening, hearing yet he could not make any attempt to put their worries to rest.

“Caylith,” Reno silently spoke with a fatigued sound in his voice, “Did Reno do well? Did Reno control his powers and help Nix?”

“You did well, Reno, very well. But the arts of a Shaman cannot banish the dark pasts and trials that some go through. Her stamina and energy has been replenished and the weight from such trauma has been lifted for some time but it always manages to revive itself and it takes more than the works of a Shaman to heal; it takes the individual to bring a close to the past.”

“Reno knows but any relief he can give even if it takes his own stamina is worth it. Nix is Cellen’s mate.”

“True,” she bespoke softly with a musing tone, “but you must conserve your own strength and stamina for when the time comes to save a life; one that teeters upon death’s grasp. You’ve learned how to control and focus your powers but the journey is not over yet. Awaken and arise, Reno, there is still much to be done.”

“Reno! Reno!” Cellen whined, his maw tugging at his brothers ear and his muzzle trying to stir his brother awake. With his son, Valen, beside him, Nix watching over Jaylin, the punk wolf knitted his brows and bit his lower lip.

“Get up, mate, please.”

Reno moaned and wiggled his ears as he felt his brothers jaws encased around them. Slowly struggling to open his eyes, the young Shaman snorted a short breath and peered up towards Cellen and Valen.

“Reno is…is just tired,” he managed to say with a deep breath in between, “Reno exerted his strength for Nix and his strength was given to her. Reno wanted to help her and hoped he did okay.” His tail thumped upon the ground, sounding and expressing his typical upbeat nature as he outstretched his right paw towards his brother. “Caylith says Reno did well, that he can control his powers and focus, but Reno is not done yet. Thank you, Cellen, for believing in Reno and for letting Reno test his powers.”

The punk wolf sighed, relieved and overcome with joy that his brother lived! As he listened, Cellen nodded his head and exhaled a small breath. “We’re brothers, Reno,” he chuckled as he pawed at his younger brother, “and I’ll be standin’ by you through and through and neva’ skive you, mate.”

"Reno knows." Attempting to stand upon his own four paws, the Shaman in training rolled onto his stomach and began to slowly rise to his feet. With his body trembling and his stamina conjuring all it could offer, Reno looked at Valen and smiled.

"You are just like Cellen; Strong, chivalrous and empathetic. Valen will become a fine wolf."

Jaylin was left nestled upon the ground as Nix rose upon all fours. Secretly, she had watched what Reno had done- watching him exert his powers as he was in need to gain and learn discipline and control. Her ears fell against her skull as her own secret had yet to be revealed and, hopefully, her family would be just as acceptive as they had been with Reno and his disclosing of becoming a Shaman.

Raising her head up, Jaylin glanced up toward Nix with cerulean orbs that were concerned and glazed with fear that was soothed yet still existant.

"Mum, are you feelin' better?"

"She'll be all right, darling," Cellen replied as he nuzzled his mate and affectionately planted a lick upon her cheek. "I'll stay with Nix and Valen but how about you show Reno around the pack lands, right?"

Nodding with a small smile curling upon her maw, the young pup gave a mighty yawn as she stumbled up upon all fours and began to pad towards the Shaman in training. Now that she would have some alone time, maybe Jay could consult Reno on what she needed to do. "Come one, Reno," she called out as she padded farther ahead. "Let's go explore."

Looking towards Jaylin and back at Cellen and Nix, Reno nodded and slowly followed behind her.

.:A Strange Feeling:.

Jaylin and Reno weaved in and out of the worn trails through the thick depths of the woods that bordered the sea. There had been few times where Jaylin had been able to slip away from her parents and wander alone but, this time, she didn't have a desire to give her uncle the slip and to wander off too far. Her small mind had been plauged with so many questions that she couldn't help but feel curious and pick at the Shaman in trainings mind for answers and insight.

Her paws seemed heavy, a sensation as if she was dragging them across the powdered ground. Fall had come and gone and the rude awakening that Winter brought was present and numbing. Looking to the left towards her uncle, Jaylin wrinkled her muzzle and sighed softly.

"Reno," she began as her cerulean orbs wandered, too scared to even look him in the eyes, "how do I tell Dad and Mom that- that I'm a-"

"That Jaylin is a Seer?" The older male finished with a warm smile.

"Yeah."

"Jaylin has to stop hiding from them. The longer Jaylin keeps it a secret from them, the less understanding they will be. They will always love Jaylin but- well, they are Jaylin's family and family trusts one anther. Trust in them and be truthful." His checkered tail swayed merrily behind him as each step was taken with a lively gait full of confidence and a renewed sense. Reno viewed the pups situation hard, no doubt, but one could never hide such a secret forever.

She knitted her brows as she shook her head. "I can't tell them! What if they think different about me? You know my Dad, he won't think that it's real! He'll just think of it as a joke."

"Jaylin can't let that stop her," the young Shaman remarked as they began to walk towards a clearing within the woods. "If Jaylin never tells them than it will be harder to tell them."

"I guess you're right," the young wolfess sighed, not expecting to be agreeing that it was time to tell them sooner or later.

Padding through the snow as it engulfed their paws and breached upwards, Reno and Jaylin wandered father to where the towering oaks and withered trees seemed to encricle the small hideaway. Reno pulled
ahead a few steps and began to settle down for a bit until a voice entered his mind.

"Shaman! Heal me, please!"

Reno blinked as he knitted his brows in confusion. Who was adressing him? And where were they? Shaking his head as he drew his scarred muzzle up into the air searching for a scent or some hint,
the young Shaman intook a deep breath and caught hold of a scent that was wafting only a few feet away. Rising up from his haunches, Reno began to trail in front of a tall oak where a young hawk laid helplessly in the snow.

"Please, Shaman, my wing is broken," the hawk pleaded as it outstretched his right while the left remained furled and jostled out slightly. "Spare me from death."

Jaylin had been distracted looking around the small hideaway but noticing that Reno was the one who had wandered off, she glanced to the side and watched as his interest seemed to be caught.

"Reno?" She softly wuffed as she padded through the snow and planted herself beside him. Seated beside him, she looked up at him but found that his attention was focused upon something else. Confused, Jaylin narrowed her eyes in front of the oak tree and gasped. "Is- is that a hawk?"

As his ocher eyes looked upon the hawk before him, there was a strange sensation that seemed to wash over him. It felt as if this hawk had sensed that he was a Shaman which caught him off guard yet, at the same time, made Reno feel as if he had a connection with the avian. Not thinking much of it, the young Shaman nodded his head and smiled.

"Yes," he answered subconciously.

Delicately, Reno stretched his paws outwards and placed them upon the wing of the hawk. His mind began to focus upon the muscles, tissue and bones while his pupils became submerged in a sea of brilliant ocher hue. Focus, Focus. He could see clearly where the break was and envisioned mending the bones and realigning them into place. Around his paws a small, bright aura began to manifest as the healing was nearly complete and the selfless act of sacrificing his own strength to the hawk would help the creature retreat from being snowbound. Panting as the aura around his paws began to fade and his pupils reappeared, Reno nodded his head as the common fatigue began to set in.

"It is done," he gasped with a short breath.

Stumbling up to its feet as its wings hung by its side, the hawk slowly furled them to its side and with a might thrust of its wings, rose
skywards and began to take wing within the skies. A cry of pure glee shrilled from its beak as it rocketed upwards and into the skies.

"Thank you Shaman! You have saved me!"

Watching as the hawk soared away and dissapeared from sight, Reno smiled and chuckled softly though the feeling of the lack of stamina
made him yearn for a good rest. "Of course, friend," he spoke within his thoughts as he turned back towards Jaylin.

"Jaylin want to explore somewhere else?"

The young pup stood there, practically speechless as she nodded her head. It was amazing! The powers that Reno held and they way he displayed them. She could only silently hope that she could become just as proficent as her uncle and understand the art of being a seer just as he understood the art of being a Shaman.

"Yeah, let's just go back. I think that was enough of an adventure," she grinned as she began to trail back the way they came.

Nodding, Reno followed behind her. Just as he was departing from the small clearing, a strange sensation washed over him again and, instinctively he turned around. His ocher eyes met those of a watchful eagle, its own gaze curiously settled upon him as it tilted its head and shrieked a small cry and flew up and away from the wolf. The young Shaman pursed his lips and shook his head.

"Strange."

"Reno! Come on!" Jaylin yelled as she had trailed farther ahead.

Letting the occurance drift from his thoughts, Reno looked back towards jaylin and leapt into long strides as a smile crept upon his maw.

He had healed a hawk but, unknowingly, he had opened another chapter in his journey to becoming a Shaman.

.:Awakening:.

It took the Shaman less than a day to recover and regain his strength after performing a small healing upon his brothers mate, Nix. Sprawled out as his forepaws were crossed and his head nestled between them, Reno was captive to sleeps slumber as another strange dream seemed to wisk him away into a surreal world yet, at the same time, being taken to a peaceful, tranquil setting atop the ridges and cliffsides of the mountains.

Ocher eyes seemed to mull over the scenery in wonderment as the young shaman intook a deep breath and marveled at the view. From here Reno could overlook the woods and see clear past even to places that he had never been to. He could see the silver rivers that snaked through the land, towering pines that looked so small that even he could conquer them, and the wide, open, rolling grasslands. Stepping forwards a few step just aside a lone standing gnarly tree with sparse leaves, a voice called to him.

"You have done well, Reno," the familair feminine voice praised. "And I'm afraid that my time with you is over now."

"Reno thought you would be with him forever?" The young adult replied, knitting his brows in minor confusion. "Why is Caylith going?" Pivoting backwards, Reno leveled his eyes with those of the spirit wolfess who stood before him.

"Why?"

"I've taught you everything you needed to learn and everything I could. You're strong, Reno, stonger than I thought. Now is the time where you will realize your true power and give life to a connection to where your powers will expand to new heights that some have only dreamed of! This is something I cannot teach you, this is something that another must teach you," she nodded, a warm smile spread wide across her maw. "You're connection is with the eagles, the hawks and the many other swift warriors of the skies."

"With the eagles? And hawks?"

"Yes," Caylith nodded. "He has waited for when you would be ready for him, for when you understood your powers and could control them. And now he will be the one to stand by your side forever."

Reno was still confused. He had a connection with eagles? Just as he was to open his mouth and speak, a shriek and echoing cry sounded. Perking his white, tattered ears upwards, the young adult shifted his attention towards the skies where a sleek object began to spin and twist within the skies. Watching as the creature tucked its wings close, Reno seemed to hold his breath as the avian dove down, backwinged and perched upon the branch of the twisted tree as it cluched a strange object within its beak.

It was a harpy eagle.

The eagle sat with a grin upon its beak, shifting its wings upon its back and lowering its head. "I have waited for you, Reno," he spoke with a calm, serne voice. "It is time."

"Reno, this is Sorenth. He's a spirit guide of his kind and will be your companion from now till eternity."

"You have learned how to use and control your powers but you have yet to exhert them to their true ability," Sorenth remarked with a shrill shriek. "This," he shifted himself closer to the wolf and directed his attention to the necklace within his beak, "is a talismen that has been passed down from the greatest of eagles. Each feather, each bead, and even the talon, hold great power and have the blessings of those who have passed on within them."

Unfolding his wings and easily gliding to rest upon Reno's shoulder, Sorenth manuvered his head to place the necklace upon the neck of the young Shaman.

"This now belongs to you, young Shaman. You must use it well and wisely but, of course, I'll be with you and make sure of that," he laughed as he shifted upon Reno.

The young wolf practically gritted his teeth as the eagle moved upon his back. The sharp talons could easily tear his skin yet only the pricking sensation could be felt as Sorenth was careful and cautious with such powerful weapons and assets. Looking behind him and peering into the vibrant obs of blue, Reno smiled.

"Thank you."

Looking further behind him and at Caylith, Reno watched as her once bright appearance was begining to fade. A small frown curled upon his maw as his ears swiveled backwards. He didn't want her to leave and it was certain that he would never see her again. Smiling warmly and nodding his head, Reno swayed his tail behind him. "Thank you, Caylith. You helped Reno find his powers and control them. Will you be gone forever?"

The spirit wolfess smiled and chuckled softly. "There are others who need help but I will be always with you. Not in spirit but I'll be with you in your heart, Reno." Fading until she was all but visible, Caylith nodded her head. "Farwell, Reno."

Reno watched with a heavy heart as his friend vanished before him and was off to help others who were on the same path as he was. He understood yet, at the same time, he had enjoyed her help and hearing her voice. But he had a new friend and a companion; he had Sorenth.

Softly exhaling a small breath, Reno pivoted to face the view and the eagle upon his shoulder.

"Follow," Sorenth announced as he crouched slightly and leapt into the air. His burnt sienna wings cut through the air with little effort as he breached upwards and soared through the skies.

The shaman stood with a sightly open maw, baffled and uncertain if this was really what Sorenth wanted to do. Fly? He couldn't fly! He was a wolf! And wolves don't have wings! "Reno can't fly! How can Reno follow?"

"We are one, young Shaman. Believe."

Watching as Sorenth spun within the air and circled above, Reno nodded his head and took several steps back. "Believe," he repeated as he intook a deep breath, "believe."

Closing his eyes softly and letting his mind soothe its thoughts, the shaman leapt into sprinting strides and lunged off the cliffside. A sudden feeling of weightless sensations seemed to overtake his body and the air seemed to caress against his fur and skin in such a luxurious and chilling manner. Was he really flying? Opening his eyes cautiously, the shaman grinned wide as he had been granted wings of his own.

Rocketing down and sweeping beside Reno, Sorenth gave a shrill, estatic shriek as he flew besides the Shaman.

"You gave me your trust and you will have my friendship, Reno. Learn from this: There are times where you will need to reject fear and learn to trust in others and, now, we will need to trust in one another as Shaman and Spirit Guide. Will you, Reno?"

Soaring through cirrus clouds and twisting and sweeping within the skies, Reno looked aside towards his feathered friend and nodded. "From now till eternity."

A broad, warm smile slid across the harpys beak. "Then awaken, my friend."

Weary and exhilarated though exhaustion still was present, Reno yawned as his ocher orbs wandered about him. He was in a remnant den within the Outriders pack but he was not alone. Peering up and back, a warm smile curled upon the Shaman's maw as his friend and spirit guide was nestled upon his shoulder asleep. Drifting his vision back, the same necklace from his dream was around his neck and was magnificent and illusive with mystery even at night. Lowering his head back upon his paws, Reno smiled.

"Good night, Sorenth."

.:Between Seers And Shaman:.

RonsoStryder
Jaylin was up to no good- well, not really in her eyes. The early morning was a perfect time where she could slip away from good ol' dad and try to figure out what exactly was happening to her.

Why was she having these wierd dreams? And what did they mean? If that wasn't wierd, what about being able to read the unconcious thought and all of the voices in her head. Now this was certainly something she couldn't tell Cellen. Either he might take a hypothesis to the extreme or he might find it as a funny joke and "play along" with her. But she didn't need people to mockingly believe her. Jaylin needed someone who knew what she was going through and someoen she could share her secret with.

Aimbling down a worn deer trail as she weaved farther and father away from the packlands, the small brown female glanced back and forth as her tapered, crimson hair swayed before her eyes.

"Someone's gotta know what's wrong with me," she assured herself as her curly tail swaggered behind her. "Maybe they can help."

Wrinkling her small muzzle as her ears swivled back, the small puppy began to run faster, hoping that wherever she was running to that she could find someone, anyone to help her out.

Tamiko-chan
Similar to Jaylin, Hal hadn't planned on telling anyone. Not even her grandfather and his hideous fiend of a follower knew about her little secret. Only other seers knew, and that was mostly because they could detect the power in her head. She didn't really like it, but she supposed it was only fair. What seer could really be called a seer if it was unable to detect other seers?

She shook her head again, trying to clear it. There was a minor ache in her head, but she pushed it aside easily. That had become the first thing she had 'mastered'. But that was probably only because she had wanted the pain gone so much. Nonetheless, she was getting better at all of this, she thought.

As she ambled along, there was a slight static in her head. It was minor, but it bothered her all the same. Frowning slightly, she turned. As she stood there, her keen ears picked up the sound of tiny paws hitting the ground at an incredible rate. Something... someone was running towards her. But it was small. Remaining still, almost set in place, she watched the bushes in front of her.

Meanwhile, her mind wavered and attempted to figure this out. She wasn't so good at reading other minds just yet, but she was working on it. And it was obvious that she was still developing her skills, for she picked up on nothing besides one word:

Secret.

RonsoStryder
More pain?

Jaylin clenched her jaws and wrinkled her muzzle. A small frown curled upon her lips as he continued to make haste and run faster and father away from the packlands. There was no one she could tell and the burden of hiding such a secret was begining to weigh upon her. For such a small pup, it was a bit difficult to even feel herself the same as anyone and it was in a way where she didn't feel she was "normal" which- really she was anything but normal now. If only she understood what exactly was happening to her.

The pains continued to bombard her head, irritating and making it easy for her to lose focus. But an odd sensation seemed to p***k at her senses, a feeling as if she wasn't alone.

Glancing behind her, the small female panted as a mixture of adrenaline and fear began to swell through her wolfish veins. Unaware as she found herself sidetracked, Jaylin stumbled into the confines of a bush and tumbled out.

"Ow!" She yipped at she rolled onto her side and sprawled out before something furry and- wait. Shaking her head as her tapered hair swayed before her eyes, Jaylin found herself to be at the feet of another wolf.

Sheepishly smiling, Jaylin tried to stagger back onto her feet.

"S-sorry."

Tamiko-chan
Hallie's mind hurt as the female pup's did. She hadn't quite learned how to block out other's feelings from her head quite yet, and she regretted not learning about that sooner. Flinching slightly, she shut her eyes and pressed her ears back against her skull. She wanted the pain gone. Now. Growling slightly, she managed to get the pain down to a dull throb. It was an improvement, at least.

One eye poked open, soon followed by its twin, as she heard someone stumble in front of her and say some exclamation of pain. Peering down, she looked straight into the face of a small, female puppy.

"Oh, don't stop on my account," she grinned. It wasn't a vicious grin, or anything of the sort. It was just a simple grin. "You seemed to have such great momentum." Shaking her fur, her tail twitched as she looked at Jaylin. Feeling now was as good a time as any to practice her powers, she attempted to get into the other's head. But there was something blocking her. Confused, she withdrew herself, giving the pup a strange look. She probably could have gotten in if she really tried, but she didn't quite know that.

"Who are you?" she asked, her tone becoming more serious.

(( Eep, I gotta go now. We can continue when I get home. <3 ))

RonsoStryder

Dizzy and disoriented, Jaylin blinked several times before her sight regained a clear focus. Slightly trembling as new sensations and feelings seemed to wash over her, the brown pup swivled her ears back as the pain still was present but at least it was not as intense.

"You would too if you felt alone," she softly whispered, her small body becoming tired and fatigued though she really wasn't sure why. She always was brimming with energy but now she felt as if she could use a nice nap. She wasn't trying to sound so pesimestic, Jaylin just didn't know what to do.

An odd sensation, a feeling of something prodding about her mind, felt heavy within her mind and she shook her head. What? This certainly was strange.

Jaylin knitted her brows together and gave a puzzled look.

"I'm Jaylin. Who are you?"

Tamiko-chan

Hallie blinked down at the small pup, wondering where on earth she had come from. It was strange, her being out here. She had thought that this was completely deserted territory and that there were no other wolves living in the area. She had wanted peace and quiet, and instead she had gotten a little puppy? And what was worse, she felt static in her head. It was annoying, and she had no clue on how to get rid of it.

"Alone?" she echoed. "Well that's silly. You're not alone. I'm here. Duh." What an odd thing to say, that she was alone. But maybe she meant before they had run into each other? Was this another orphan pup? Gosh, she hoped not. She didn't want to be stuck taking care of a puppy and dealing with her powers. It was too much.

More static in her head. She shook it, grumbling and mumbling random sayings to herself. She closed her eyes and focused, shutting down the static for a good minute at least.

As silence befell her mind again, she sighed and opened her eyes again. Peering down at Jaylin, Hal gave her quite the strange look. She wanted to know what this little wolf was doing here. And why she was hearing static in her head.

"I'm Hallie," she replied absently, still trying to piece things together.

RonsoStryder
Jaylin swayed her curly, feathered tail behind her as she peered up to the older wolfess. It was comforting being with someone else besides her family but the same pains in her head and these odd sensations seemed to wash over her with a more intense persistance.

"I know I'm not alone now," she sighed, eyes rolling slightly. "It's just- well, have you ever had a secret you couldn't tell anyone. I mean, if you told someone you wouldn't know what they'd think of you..."

Biting her lower lip as she shook her head, tossing her tapered, crimson locks in front of her hair, Jay frowned.

"Never mind. It sounds dumb, doesn't it? Trying to hide something from your own family because you're scared and don't know what to tell them." She could feel herself pouring herself out to this complete stranger but somehow it felt good. Besides, the only person who knew of what was happening to her was Reno, Cellen's brother, who just so happened to be a Shaman- well, a Shaman in training. Maybe she could trust her?

She'd have to wait and see.

Stumbling up to her paws, the small puppy staggered a few steps then fell onto her haunches. This was all too confusing and her head was still hurting.

"Hallie," she repeated with a smile. "You have a pretty name. Nice to meet you."

Tamiko-chan
The adolescent's eyes widened slightly as she listened to the problems of the small female. She felt herself, surprisingly, connecting to her. Their problems, they sounded almost one in the same, at least generally. She still wasn't sure what the exact problem was that Jaylin was facing.

Sinking down to her belly, she flicked her tail and crossed her paws. Her ears were perked forward slightly as she listened to the pup. For once, she found her interest caught and snared. She seemed genuinely interested in what this little wolf had to say. Though the real reason why she felt that way was still unclear to her.

"Yes, actually," she whispered, staring off into nothing. "I believe we've got a bit of the same problem."

War.

She shook her head, focusing on Jaylin again. War. She had no idea why she continued to think about that word. She was wondering if it had any sort of importance in her life. But, unable to answer that question at the moment, she kept her attention on other things.

"Nono, it's not dumb at all," she assured the pup, wondering to herself why she was being so nice. Normally she didn't care for puppies.

As her name was complimented, she blinked down at the other. She didn't see what was particularly special about her own name, but if Jay was so sure in her opinion then who was she to say otherwise?

RonsoStryder
Jaylin blinked as she drew closer to Hallie, a curious expression drawn upon her maw. "Really, so you have the same problems too?"

Rethinking and still pending if she should expell everything that she's gone through to Hallie, Jaylin really didn't see a downside. Sure the other wolfess could think her crazy and insane but, like other wolves, she could also be more acceptive to the nature of such a gift and a destiny at hand to someone so young of age.

Of course, Hallie also could be-

The same.

Jay nearly jumped as the voice resurfaced again within her thoughts and the same sensations were getting stronger. Could it be? Even just talking to Hallie made the small female feel a sort of connection between them and even a likeness.

Well, it didn't hurt to go out on a limb.

"Can you keep a secret," Jaylin whispered as she glanced around making sure that no other wolves or creatures were looking. "I'm a Seer."

Tamiko-chan
Hallie nodded, her tail flicking again. She wanted so much to just go into Jaylin's head and find out already what it was that was bothering her, this problem of hers. But it was a good thing she was sensible and sensitive. She figured she wouldn't want someone snooping around in her head without her knowing, and so she figured the pup wouldn't want it either. Thus, she kept her proddings in her own mind.

Power. War.

Why did those words keep popping into her head? She wondered, thinking of different possibilities. The power part must have come from that talk she had had with the silver wolf and with that black wolf that had come to her in a dream. Perhaps? She couldn't be certain about the war part, however. It was a total mystery...

As Jaylin seemed keen on revealing her secret now, the older female's ears perked slightly as she leaned in. Was the secret really so great that she was nervous about saying it even here, where it was obvious they were alone?

The secret was spoken. Hal's eyes went wide. So, there were others out there like her, then, and not just that silver wolf she had been told to meet. She had thought that, maybe, since Amélie had been specifically pointed out for her to meet, that she was the only other seer. But now she realized that she was wrong.

"Are you now?" she whispered, a slight smile coming upon her maw. "Well, the truth is..." she said, though drifting off mid-way.

"I am too," she said, speaking with her mind to Jaylin. It had taken her a moment to get into the pup's head--it seemed there was a bit of a natural barrier around every seer's mind--but once she had gotten through that, it had been relatively easy. Perhaps it was because Jay was barely starting out and so didn't know much? There was no telling...

RonsoStryder
The ears of the younger wolf flattened slightly against her skull as she stood there, uncertain and afraid. But peering up into the eyes of the older wolfess and listening as she whispered with a smile trailing across her maw made her feel not so afraid or worried.

"Truth is what?" She questioned with a hushed voice as her curly tail swagged with zest.

"I am too."

The serene blue eyes of the small puppy widened as her jaw dropped in awe. Another seer just like herself? Hallie was much older than Jay and she must of had experience in being able to speak with her mind. But this was exciting! Another Seer! Another wolf who knew exactly what she was going through!

"Really!?" The pup exclaimed as she jumped up on all fours and began running around Hallie. Exhilarated and no doubt curious, Jay sat again in front of the Seer.

"How long have you been a 'you know what'?" She softly questioned as she tilted her head. "And what about the voices, visions and the weird feelings?"

RonsoStryder
A broad grin set upon her small maw as Hallie tried to contain what energy the small pup was unconciously exherting. Such bursts of energy came so naturally and most of the time it was a result of roughhousing with her dad and her brother, Valen.

Jay's ears perked upwards as the adolescent settled down for a question and answer session, keeping a serious approach to the countless questions Jaylin was bound to ask.

"Me too," the puppy nodded as her cerulean eyes were wide and full of a lively, estatic nature. "I never could hear the voices but it was the strange feelings that grew into nightmares and those strange dreams."

"Yeah, there are all these voices in my head and sometimes they get louder. I can hear them, they speak to me and it's- it's as if sometimes they are watching me and know what I'm doing," she remarked as it felt so weird to reflect on what exactly had happened so far. "I know I don't understand it as well as you but- I just wish that I knew what they wanted or what I'm suppose to do."

Jaylin tilted her head to the side, perplexed and curious. "Weird dreams? Like dreams that don't make sense?"

As her tail thumped upon the ground, Jay blinked. "Where do you think the other Seers are? Will we meet them?"

Tamiko-chan
Hallie crossed her paws and shifted her weight slightly, becoming comfortable. She could tell that this might be a long talk, them discussing their powers and the possibilities that lay ahead of them, and she was eager to see what came out of it. It wasn't every day, after all, that she got to talk freely about these things.

Nodding, she settled her head down upon her crossed paws as she listened to Jaylin.

"Well, a silver wolf that I know told me that I can control the noises if I wanted. They always used to make my head ache and hurt, but now I can control the noise and make it go away. Maybe you could too? Though, I'll warn you, it was rather hard.." She had spent an entire day just locating where the noises had been coming from in her mind. She had managed to get them to go away, but it still wasn't perfect. Her barrier was weak. She'd need to fix it.

As the subject came to dreams, she thought for a moment. The dreams she had completely didn't make sense, and she wasn't sure if she'd be able to explain them now.

"Yeah, weird dreams. Like... I had a dream that I was this wolf and I... I think it was a real wolf and I think it was that wolf's past. But, I'm not sure. I could be wrong." It was, after all, just a hunch. But it was a seer power-backed hunch. Didn't that make it better?

"And another dream I had was about war. I don't know why, but I can't get it out of my head. I keep thinking of war, war, war... I think it means something, but I can't piece it together." She frowned, unhappy with her lack of confidence in herself and her powers. Everything had become so complicated with them.

"Other seers?" she repeated. "Well... there was one around here, I know. I don't know of any others, though, besides you of course." She smiled, nosing Jayling playfully. "I'm sure we'll meet more in time though."

RonsoStryder

"I hope I can," Jaylin nodded as she bit her lower lip, brows knitting in thought as to how she could accomplish this someday. "They make my head hurt but sometimes I can make them go away or can talk to them but- well, sometimes it doesn't work."

Her small maw gaped open as Hallie explained her weird dream. She blinked, "You had a dream that you were another wolf? Neat! I haven't had anything special, just seeing stuff from a different perspective and some really hazy stuff...it just doesn't make sense and it's in every dream."

Jaylin understanding of what powers were laid before her, if she could control them, were mesmorizing and amazing!

Hallie seemed to have so much insight and already seemed well on her way to being a Seer. As for Jay, she was only a pup and had much learning and experiences ahead of her.

Padding up towards Hallie, Jaylin layed down beside her and placed her head next to her paws. "You'll piece it together," she yipped with a positive and bright outlook. "My Uncle is training to be a Shaman and he says that things that don't make sense at first will eventually become clear to the untrained eye or when time is right. Maybe you still have to understand it further?"

The small pup giggled and wuffed low as her feathered, curly tail thumped merrily upon the ground. "I want to meet them. I want to know their secrets and learn how to be a Seer. I don't want to waste the gift I've been given," she nodded, hoping and wishing that she could be half the seer that Hallie was already becoming.

"Are you part of Phibs pack too?"

Tamiko-chan
Hallie nodded in agreement with the smaller female. The noises had hurt her head, so much so that she couldn't bear it some days. The only reason they were gone now was because she had become so fed up with the pain that she wanted it gone then and there. She hoped that things didn't have to get completely horrible for Jaylin in order for her to chase them away. She didn't want that for the other.

"Yeah, and it was rather sad," she said quietly, remembering perfectly what had happened in her dream. She couldn't imagine actually going through that. Just seeing it in a dream was painful enough. "I think that dream was the only one that was really clear to me and that I actually remember. Maybe as you get better at all of this and you learn to control your powers, then your dreams will become clearer and make more sense. At least, I'm hoping that will happen with me," she laughed, her tail swishing behind her. Everything was so cloudy and hazy now, she wished it'd clear up soon. Really soon.

Encouraged by Jay, the adolescent smiled and wagged her tail back and forth. She liked this pup. "I'm sure you'll piece everything together. Hey, we always have each other, right? We can help one another," she suggested, the thought of having another seer to turn to for help comforting. Even if Jaylin was only a pup and Hal an adolescent, the two girls still seemed one in the same.

When she mentioned her uncle training to become a shaman, she began to wonder how many 'gifted' wolves were in this pup's family. A shaman and a seer so closely related? It couldn't be just a coincidence...

"Wow, your uncle is going to be a shaman?" she asked, seemingly genuinely amazed. She wanted to meet this uncle, suddenly. She wanted to know all about him and what it was like to be a shaman. Was it harder than being a seer? She couldn't imagine. But, she supposed, she could always just prod into his mind and find out for herself, yet she didn't feel so much like doing that. Feeling herself so close to Jaylin already, she didn't want to barge in on her mind or any of her family's now. It was strange, her logic on where to use her powers and where not to.

"Oh, I'm sure I have much to understand. I'm not so good, really. I think my powers are just strong and that's why I seem so far along." She sighed. Power. Strength. That black wolf had mentioned power and Amélie had mentioned her power as well. She only hoped she could control that power.

At the question of whether or not she was in Phib's pack, Hallie stopped for a moment and thought. "Well, I'm not really. I'm just visiting with my sister," she explained, not wanting to think that she was tied down to one pack so early. She still had much life to live.

RonsoStryder
Jaylin scooted her head to rest upon the paws of the adolescent as a warm smile trailed across her maw. "Yeah! We'll always be there for one another. And it won't be hard to find you, right Hallie? I just call out to you with my mind?" The small pup loved the idea of having another seer to turn to when she wasn't exactly sure what to do or needed guidance. Of course Jaylin wasn't perfect and a buddy system was something she could thrive off of.

The thought of Reno and herself being the only ones from the family who have been given such a gift only made her smile wider.

Reno was one of the sweetest wolves she had ever met and, although he was a little slow, his intelligence and outlook surpassed anyone elses. Even when she first met him, Jaylin could decipher that there was something mysterious yet magical about him.

"Reno's training and he's the only one besides you who knows about my secret. He's still livin' with our family until he feels he's ready to continue his journey." She nodded her head as she curled her feathered tail around her body. "You should meet him, Hallie. He's really nice."

She tilted her head to the side slightly, ears flickering as she shifted her right paw on top of Hallies. "You know so much more than I do," she commented with a humble tone, "I want to be just like you, Hallie." Someone strong, driven by free will and by their own heart; that's what Jaylin wanted to become.

"Who's your sister? Maybe I know her." A sudden idea flashed into her mind which caused her to perk up her head higher and peer into the adolescents eyes. "If you come with me back to the packlands you can see your sister and meet Reno! Wanna go?"

Tamiko-chan
The adolescent, for the first time in a long long while, felt herself completely happy. Nothing could ever bring her down. She had fulfilled her mission and found her sister. She had found new powers and was learning to control them, to become stronger. She had made new friends and was on her way to make another one. She didn't feel alone, and she felt aboslutely wonderful. It made her sad to think that she would have to go back to her grandfather Carius and that b***h Aziz again. But that didn't matter now. She could think about them later.

As talk of Reno began again, her ears perked slightly as she became interested again. She didn't know why, but she was just absolutely intrigued by shamans. They were so different from seers, power-wise.

"A spirit guide?" she repeated, tilting her head slightly. She had never heard about them, but it sounded like they'd be a good thing to have around. An old shaman or seer there to help you out and show you how to control your powers? What more could a fledgeling seer/shaman ask for? That was probably the ultimate help. All she had were some crazy dreams and a dead relative talking to her about power, power, power.

Laughing again, she nosed Jaylin. "Well, I'm not that exciting. I think others have better lives than me." The only part of her life that was really exciting was her grandfather and his... woman... and they were a bad exciting. "I think you'd be happier being you than me," she explained, shaking out her fur. "There are lots of.. complicated.. things in my life that I'm sure you wouldn't want to deal with." But, enough about that.

"Oh, Cassidy really is nice. I'm so happy I've found her," she said excitedly, her bum wiggling with her wagging tail. "I can't believe I went so long without seeing or talking to her." It had seemed almost surreal.

As Jayling leapt to her paws, Hal laughed and rose to her paws as well, though slower than the small seer. "Alright, I'm coming," she called, stretching out her limbs then padded up to the pup. "Lead the way!"

RonsoStryder
Jaylin laughed as she bounced from paw to paw, her tail wagged continuously as she began to run small circles around Hallie. "We'll see Reno and Cassidy! And maybe you can meet my Dad, mom and brother!" Stumbling forwards a few steps, the small pup looked back toward Hallie.

"We just follow this path down to the ocean," she commented as she waited, then circled around the adolescent and padded beside her. "It's the easiest route."

Prancing somewhat but keeping a lively step, Jaylin grinned as she was all too excited to show Reno and her family her new friend. She never was too social with anyone- well, besides her brother, Valen but now everything was looking up and for the better. The path didn't take too long to trail along but before the ocean even came into view, a familiar scent seemed to waft heavily within the air. Her ears perked upwards as a broad smile stretched across her maw.

"Reno?" She called out, cerulean orbs dancing with excitement as they darted left to right. Looking back towards Hallie, the small pup sat down on her haunches. "I think Reno's here. He always talks about meditating in silence and he usually leaves in the morning."

"Reno? Where are you?"

From the shadows just to the right where the brush drew thick, a shadowed figure stirred upon the ground. "Jaylin? Is that you?"

"Yes! Come on out, Reno! I want you to meet my friend."

"Reno is coming," he replied with a soft chuckle. With no haste and slight poise, the young adult emerged from the depthsof the shadows. He was somewhat conservative at times but, most of the time, he was pleased and anxious to meet a new friend, especially one that was acquainted with a family member.

Just like Jaylin, Reno had the same earthy brown pelt. Like Cellen and Jaylin, the strange marking of a wing spread far across his back. It was definately different yet, from experience and realization, his marking played a vital role in healing and restoring those who would seek his help. His crimson face displayed interest and joy while his white ears swiveled forward.

Stepping out and sitting upon his haunches with a warm smile, the young adult leaned down and nuzzled her. "Reno is happy to see Jaylin," he commented with a soft wuff. Looking up towards Hallie, he lowered his head in respect.

"And who might you be?"

Tamiko-chan
Hallie anxiously followed her new friend down the path she had spoken about. The ocean. She hadn't visited it since the first time she had stumbled upon these lands, when her headaches were still paining her head. No, she hadn't been there since she had met with the silver wolfess she had been told to seek out. It would be strange going back there again.

"Alright," she mumbled, following the smaller wolf down to the ocean. She was nervous, but at the same time excited. It would be nice to meet new wolves. It would be a good change from what she normally did, which was spend her time with her grandfather and that black female Aziz. She was surprised she wasn't crazy and old by now, after spending so much time with them. But, in a way, she was thankful. She'd like to get old when it was her time, and no earlier.

As they came to the beach, she paused and looked around. It seemed so quiet and serene... it calmed her and she showed it by letting out a cool breath. Sitting herself down, she stayed close to Jaylin and curled her tail around her slim frame.

Her ears perked as the pup began calling for her uncle. Hallie opened her mind and heard Reno coming in her head before she could really hear him with her ears. Her tail wagged slightly. She was getting better at all of this, slowly. As he came into view, she blinked and remained silent and still for a moment. He looked a lot like Jay in a way, but also different.

Letting herself flow, she opened her mind a bit more and tried to seep into his, just to get his mind signature memorized at least. She wasn't planning on doing any prodding of any kind. But as soon as she felt herself slipping into his mind, she felt an immense pain inside of her head, and it was so sharp that she pulled out of his head dangerously fast. Flinching, she nearly fell over as the pain overwhelmed her mind then slowly settled.

What was that?

"I-I'm Hallie," she mumbled, the shock from the pain still deeply rooted. She was scared now. That had never happened before when she had tried to read someone's mind..

RonsoStryder
The attempt of the seer trying to see within his mind did not go unnoticed. Reno didn't mind at all yet some had said there was a boundary between the Seer and Shaman. Though some of their powers were much alike, their minds were so vastly different.

"She is a Seer," Caylith silently spoke within the mind of the Shaman. "Powerful and still learning. But it is difficult to enter the mind of a Shaman and many times there are boundaries that cannot be crossed only if you let them."

Jaylin he been caught off guard as she watched Hallie stumble and nearly fall over. She knitted her brows and ran towards her friends side. "Hallie!" She yipped, frightened and uncertain of what just happened. "Are you okay?" Glancing over towards Reno with a slight frown, Jay looked into his eyes and watched him nod his head, smiling in assurance that all was well.

His head echoed with slight pain but it was easily forgotten as he was curious to learn of the young seer.

"Hallie," he repeated with a soft, soothing voice, "a pleasure. Reno thinks that it is wonderful that Jaylin has a friend, especially one that shares the same gift. Tell Reno, how long have you been on your journey?" His forepaws stretched outwards, a yawn escaping from his maw. He had been meditating and thinking quietly since daybreak and a treat as to have company was more than welcomed. Looking upon the Seer, the young Shaman sensed something- it was hard to describe but there was a weighted feeling, confusion that seemed to encircle the young Seer.

"What can Reno do for you? Reno senses- senses confusion. How can Reno help?"

Tamiko-chan

Hallie recovered herself, though she was still stumbling somewhat. That had been a hard blow to her mind, and she was still trying to understand it all. She'd have to be more careful from now on, she supposed. Who knew what other consequences could come of her acting foolishly and without much care in her thoughts.

Sitting back up, she shook her head and groaned slightly. She'd have to kill herself if that happened again. Something like that should not have happened.

Feeling better now, she blinked and watched Reno. Yet as Jaylin came over, crying out her concerns, Hal smiled weakly and wagged her tail. "I'm fine. It was just... I don't know what it was, actually," she admitted. It was then that she looked towards the shaman in training. It was almost as if she was asking him for the answers to all of this. But how could he know? She shook her head, not quite knowing what to believe anymore. After that... she was rather shaken.

"Journey?" she echoed, blinking again. But then she seemed to realize exactly what they were talking about and she added on quickly, "Ohoh. Yes, my journey. Oh, I don't know. For a while now. I've nearly lost track of how long."

As Reno mentioned something about her being confused, she sighed and lowered her head slightly. It seemed that her secret was out. She had tried so hard to be strong through all of this, to not show any weaknesses, to show to everyone that she could handle this and that she could do this on her own. But the truth of the matter was that she was terrified. Terrified of her powers and of the possibilities and opportunities that lay before her. It all felt horrible, with no benefits or rewards.

"I-I'm just... unsure," she hesitated, not sure whether or not she should be saying this. She had always been strong, hiding her weaknesses for her own sake. This was a strange thing, speaking her true feelings. "I don't think I can do this."

RonsoStryder
Jaylin smiled warmly as she nuzzled her and gave a simple nod of her head. Something had happened but, from what she could tell, Reno knew all to well and wasn't one to shame or react to such a thing. The young Shaman was calm, collected and, most of all, compassionate and to be meeting with another gifted wolf whose course was directed towards that of a Seer was a blessed opportunity.

Reno chuckled softly, nodding his head as his serene orcher orbs leveled with those of the wolfess. "Reno knows the feeling," he admitted with a smile. "But every day is a new experience, every day is a new day to live and learn from mistakes. Time is short but we must make the best of what we have been alotted."

For a wolf who was somewhat slower than others, his intellect made up for his lack of understanding and slow speech. While on his journey, the young adult had gained confidence and his once jostled speech became smoother and he never did shirk from others. Sure there were times where he felt slightly uncomfortable but, in his logic, he had to face his fears and learn how to recieve others and embrace those who came his way. Watching Hallies expressions, Reno's ears fell back as he tilted his head concerned and standing as an outlet for the wolfess. He could feel the weight and burden around her and he was more than willing to open up and listen.

He knitted his brows as his tail thumped behind him. "Hallie is unsure? Why?" pursing his lips, the young Shaman smiled warmly. "Hallie has come so far, farther than others who have walked the same path seeking the same knowledge of the Seers. Reno can sense it, Reno can see great potential."

He didn't understand why she was lacking confidence and belief in herself? Looking at her, Reno could decipher that there was more to the eye and more to Hallie that she had yet to discover for herself.

"Don't stop; Don't stop searching, don't cease and give in. To give up now would be throwing away a sacred gift and a destiny that those before us have blessed you with. Reno needs you to believe in yourself and have faith. Doubting yourself won't get you anywhere."

Tamiko-chan
Hallie sighed and sank down to her belly, laying very close to the female pup. It might have seemed strange, but she took great comfort in the fact that Jaylin was there. They had a certain connection with one another, she could feel it in her bones. She had never had a connection like that with anyone, and so she attached herself to it and wasn't about ready to let go any time soon.

As she listened to the shaman, she found herself relaxing. She didn't know what it was, but something about the way he spoke so calmly and the way that he spoke so sincerely about life made her feel better.

Whatever it was that other wolves thought about him, Hal most likely wasn't getting the same idea. She held a great respect for him. He seemed so knowledgeable, kind, and caring that it was almost impossible to dislike him or think badly about him. She was glad Jay had brought her to meet him. She felt that she could get a lot out of this encounter by simply listening to what he had to say.

When he asked her why she was unsure, she went slightly rigid. Should she tell him exactly why she was having these feelings? Never before in her life had she ever confided in anyone like this, and it was almost too uncomfortable and strange for her to even think about it. But she had to do this, for her own sake. It was bad to keep one's feelings bottled up inside, right? At least, that's what she had heard. Flicking her ears nervously, she attempted to bring her thoughts into some sort of understandable order.

War...

She whined slightly. "I'm not sure I can control my powers. I've been told so many times that I am so powerful and I have so much strength, but I'm wondering how much of that power and strength is actually me and how much is this seer business." She sighed again. Again, Reno made her feel better, but also worse. He seemed to believe so much in her, despite only meeting her this day. Why couldn't she believe so strongly in herself? She felt almost ashamed. "I am just... not sure I'm fit for any of this."

As he mentioned that doubting herself wouldn't do her any good, she nodded her head slightly. She knew that, but it was hard to believe in herself. She wasn't doing too hot with her powers, despite what it all appeared to be like.

She was just... confused.

RonsoStryder
The young female nestled closer to Hallie, resting her head upon the adolescents forepaws as her curly tail wrapped around her body. For once, Jaylin found a connection between herself and another wolf, a wolf who held the same secret as she did and a dear friend who she could feel safe and have fun with. It was a new experience yet every moment was cherished. Jaylin felt as if their bond would last them a lifetime and she knew that if she ever ran into trouble that she'd have a friend she could come to.

"Reno has had the same problems," he commented as he sat upon his haunches, white, tattered ears perking forwards as his crimsom face softened with a sweet smile. "At first, Reno couldn't control his powers and his body began to tremble uncontrollabley. Reno was scared because he couldn't hide it- his powers were too obvious and other could distinguish that he was- well, "different". The power and strength we are given comes from our hearts, it comes from ourselves and from our efforts in trying to understand what we have been given. Those of the past who walked before us influence us, guide us, but they leave it up to the individual to make the choice: To find destiny or forsake everything."

Why was Hallie being so hard on herself? It just didn't make sense but, truthfully, at first Reno had the same problem.

"At first, Reno thought that he wasn't fit to heal others. All Reno's life, he had been tormented and bruised by others even when he had not done anything to wrong or offend another. But we have been given a rare ability to heal and direct others. Those before us wouldn't give us such an opportunity if they didn't think that we were capable or strong enough to become a safehaven and a link between wolves and spirits."

His orcher orbs drifted upwards towards the sky, watching the cirrus clouds whisp through the endless sea of blue as a tranquil smile curled upon his maw. It still seemed as if he was trapped within a surreal dream yet the young Shaman had come to recognize that both Seers and Shamans had a purpose: To help others.

Settling his gaze back towards both Hallie and Jaylin, he shifted his right forepaw and pointed at Hallie.

"Seers and Shamans are called to heal others and to establish a view and deeper understanding to those who are confused, hurt and suffering. Hallie must continue on her journey, look past the darkness and the trials and press onwards. Hallie is not just learning to adapt and recognize her potential, Hallie is becoming someone who will help others through adversity and through their own darkness."

"The road isn't easy," he remarked with a nod, "but it will help others on their own pathway in life."

Tamiko-chan
Hallie sighed. Why did everything have to be so complicated? At first, when she had been a puppy, she had believed her training from her mother had been the hardest thing in the world. But now, that was nothing compared to all of this seer business. It was far more tiring and a lot more confusing than the lessons she had been taught by her mother. At least with her mother she had had someone to help her along. But with this... it didn't seem like there was anyone that could really guide her.

As Reno admitted to have had the same problems, her ears perked slightly. Shamans and seers were different in their own rights, but their journeys were almost the same, right? Or, at least, they were very similar. Perhaps she could come to Reno for help when she was stuck? But she didn't want to impose on him..

"I'm too afraid to tell... others... that I am what I am," she said softly, referring to the non-gifted wolves as 'others'. It probably wasn't a good thing. "I'm afraid they will reject me and I will never get through this."

Reno continued to speak, and the adolescent found herself following through the same problems as the shaman. He had doubted himself, thought that he was unable to do all of this. It mirrored her own feelings exactly. It was too scary, almost. "But the wolves before us could make mistakes, couldn't they?" she asked tentatively, obviously unsure of whether her gift had been an accident or not. She felt as if it had been.

He spoke of helping others, and she shook her head, growling slightly. She rose to her paws and moved away slightly, her back half-turned to the other two wolves.

"How am I to help others if I can't even help myself?" she mumbled.

RonsoStryder
The young Shaman quirked a brow, head tilted slightly as he pursed his lips. "Every wolf who has recieved these gifts has held fear and every wolf fears rejection," he commented with a simple nod of his head. "But why would one hide such a marvelous gift? Why hide an ability to save a life?"

He was trying to help persuade Hallie to look on the positive side and help clear her thoughts from negativity and doubt. Though it was tough, Reno wasn't about to give up.

"Nonsense. Any wolf can endure this but only if they trust in themselves which is the main ingredient to success and is the last ingredient Hallie is missing."

It seemed sudden when the young Seer shifted onto her paws and moved away, turning her back away from them. Reno's white, tattered ears fell against his skull as his scarred muzzle wrinkled in mild frustration. Was Hallie even taking to heart everything he was saying? It didn't appear so.

"Hallie must help herself first before Hallie can help anyone," Reno commented as he rose up to his paws and padded behind her. "If Hallie cannot have confidence, faith and trust in her own self than you will never be fit to help another. What good is it to offer help if Hallie can't even be true to Hallies self without an ounce of doubt or fear. Just live! Forget fear, forget worries and sorrow and seize Hallie's destiny before the opportunity to harness Hallies powers are no more."

He wasn't trying to be harsh but there seemed to be no other way which Reno could get through to her. He had faith in her and could see the greatness that awaited her but why the wolfess eyes were shrouded to such a destiny boggled his mind.

"Don't give up. Giving up now means that Hallie forfits everything and Reno doesn't want to see Hallie submit to her own dark thoughts."

Tamiko-chan
"Why hide it? Because I've heard the stories," she said quietly. "We are hated, feared sometimes. We do not like what is different." It was a cold, sad truth, a truth she would rather not know. Why did the world have to be that way, so hateful and discriminating? But of course without all of that the world would be an easy place to live in, and nothing could ever be easy. She sighed.

Hallie kept her back to the other wolves, not actually taking his words seriously. Her own doubts and fears clouded her judgement, and there was no one in her mind to tell her otherwise. She allowed for her darker thoughts to take over and shut everything else out, and that included Reno's advice. She had had doubts and fears before--even before the powers--but with this new gift those doubts and fears had come to life and had only grown stronger since before.

Yet, as the shaman spoke sternly with her and commented rather harshly that she had to get over herself before she could begin to help others, she found herself slowly drifting away from her earlier attitude. Sometimes that was what it took with the female: cold, tough words to slap her in the face and make her come to her senses. It wasn't something she did on purpose, it just happened.

Folding her ears back in slight embarassment, she remained quiet at first. She did not take shame well, and shame was exactly what she was feeling at the moment. She was shameful that she had let herself become so bitter, and towards a wolf who was only trying to help her.

"I'm sorry," she finally mumbled. "I wasn't being fair." Sighing, she moved herself about so that she was facing Jaylin and the male again.

"It's just too much to handle, sometimes."

RonsoStryder
"Does Hallie think Reno is blind to this? Reno knows we are hated, some of us even before we are given such great powers!" His brows knitted closely as his tail hung limp behind him. He glanced aside towards Jaylin who was standing in between his two forelegs, looking towards the older wolfess with a sad expression upon her face and her curly tail wrapped around her small body.

She knew only a minute detail of what these powers required from each individual but why did Hallie have to be so scared? Jaylin's ears fell against her head as she stayed between Reno's legs hoping that the present situation would get better. She didn't like the small tension between them and certainly did not like to see Hallie upset.

Leveling his vision back towards Hallie, Reno intook a deep breath.

"We may be hated, ridiculed and despised, but we hold the keys to what destiny befalls us. If wolves cannot see our purpose then they should not have access to such great works and arts."

The young Shaman fell silent as he watched the younger wolfess dismantle her wall around her and come to reason of thoughts and agreement. Reno had no intention of making her shameful or embarassed but he needed to get through to her. He'd rather let himself fall victim to his own darkness of thoughts than see another waste away and lose sight of the potential and greatness that was at hand. Seers and Shamans were an asset to any pack and though there were so few, each one carried their own wisdom, knowledge and were precious.

"Hallie has nothing to be sorry for," Reno assured as he padded closer to her, Jaylin trailing alongside him. "Reno just doesn't want to see a friend or a friend of Jaylins' fall by their own destruction."

Slowly padding towards the older wolfess, Jaylin wuffed softly and nuzzled against her. "We're a team: You, me and Reno. We don't want to see you fall and you should know that we'll be there to help you and talk to you," the young pup chimed in.

"Yes," Reno replied with a nod of his head. "The burden may weigh great but with great power comes great responsability. We must adhere to the tasks we are given."

"Think of it like a buddy system," Jaylin yipped as she sat on her haunches next to Hallie. "Just like you can find me, you can always find Reno and seek his advice. He's really smart."

Tamiko-chan
Hallie's anger flared up momentarily as the shaman threw words back in her face. But it wasn't exactly that he was being mean or vicious, but rathar that she was taking this far too personally. Her doubts about her own future were giving way to unnecessary feelings.

He's only trying to help. He's only trying to help. She told herself this over and over again, closing her eyes for a few moments. She counted to three then opened them again, feeling somewhat better. She shouldn't be getting mad at Reno, she realized, she should have been getting mad at herself. She was acting like such a fool!

"No, no," she started. "I do have something to be sorry about. I shouldn't have acted like that." She sighed again, lowering her head and softly nuzzled Jaylin. How could she have acted that way in front of her little friend? It wasn't right. The pup was at no fault and didn't deserve to see such horrible behavior. The adolescent was ashamed again. Some role model she was.

"A team?" she echoed, blinking at them both. She had never really been a 'team' wolf, since her mother had taught her all about how to survive on her own and depend solely upon herself. So the idea of being in a team was rather awkward. Nonetheless, she figured this team would be beneficial to herself. They shared the same powers and burdens as her, and so had the capacity to share and understand her problems.

Smiling, she nuzzled Jaylin again and flopped down playfully, placing her forepaws on either side of the pup. "I'm glad I have friends like you two."

But then something struck her, and she lifted her head suddenly, glancing at Reno. "I know I can find Jaylin any time, but what about you?" she wondered aloud. "The last time I tried to..." she trailed off, lowering her gaze. What had happened, exactly?

RonsoStryder
It seemed impossible for the young Shaman to ever hold a grudge and be bitter against a friend. He could sense that Hallie was battling personal issues and perhaps a touchy subject as well but he was a wolf who always seemed to yearn to assist others in their times of needs and do whatever he could to help them along their way.

"Sometimes instincts and reactions come without realizing," Reno remarked with a warm smile. "Reno holds nothing against Hallie, nor could he ever."

Jaylin smiled wide and big as she giggled softly and nestled closer to Hallie. It was nice seeing that the wolfess was regaining herself and seemed much happier. She didn't like seeing anyone sad, especially a friend for that matter.

At the same moment, both Reno and Jaylin looked towards each other and laughed. Of course a team! In their minds, there was no better way than creating a bond and a small group where they could help one another face problems, give advice and try to figure out the best solution to sticky situations. Jaylin nodded and perked up as Hallie placed her forepaws upon her.

"And we're both glad that we can be your friends too, Hal," the puppy grinned as she pawed at the wolfess's face.

A small grin slid upon the Shamans maw as he drew closer towars both Hallie and Jaylin. "To prod Renos mind and found it didn't work?" He finished with a small chuckle. "Reno can vaugely hear thoughts though not as well as Seers. But Reno can open his mind to Hallie and, of course, there are always those listening and alerting Reno. If Hallie knows who to speak to, they can tell Reno."

He was a bit vauge in his details as such information was barely even making sense to him. But he did have connections where some creatures were his very eyes and ears within the woods and kept him in check with those in the woods. Reno had his very own system which he could find those who were seeking him or even let those who were seeking him find him.

Tamiko-chan
Hal was most grateful to the fact that Reno couldn't hold grudges, especially against friends. She'd greatly regret her actions if it meant that she'd lose a friend that she only met that very day. And what a shame that would be. She wouldn't have been able to live with the fact that she had driven away one of her first friends because of her foolish actions.

Flicking her ears, she giggled slightly and pushed her nose against the smaller female's shoulder. Her tail swayed quickly behind her as she nipped at Jaylin playfully.

As the two family members laughed, she folded her ears back slightly and tilted her head. What was so funny? Peering at Jay, she realized that it was because they didn't see the concept of teamwork to be so strange and unusual as she did. They had obviously lived life differently than she, and that was why they thought it amusing that she found the term of a team so awkward.

"Heh, sorry," she laughed slightly. "I've just never worked in a team before. It's just.. how I was brought up, I guess."

Reno slid closer and knew exactly what she was talking about. Narrowing her eyes in a sort of playful suspicion, she wagged her tail again and shifted her weight. "Who do I speak to then?" she asked. She didn't want to prod into his mind to find out, because she was afraid that what had happened before would happen again. And the adolescent didn't want to endure that all over again.

Feeling a bit dumb at being unable to figure this out, she lowered her head slightly and glanced at Jaylin. Did she know what her uncle was talking about?

RonsoStryder
Jaylin shook her head. "No need to be sorry, Hallie," Jaylin grinned as she dug her nose into the pelt of the older female. "Everyone works in their own way but, sometimes, we like making a team so we can help each other. It's nice because if something happens to any of us, we'll be there for one another."

When Reno began speaking of means as to how Hallie could get in contact with him, her face drew a blank as she tilted her head slightly and gave a puzzling look. What was her uncle speaking about?

Was he hiding something from her?

She hoped not.

Or else she'd have some investigating to do.

Slinking forwards in a slight stretch as he too displayed a willy and playful side, Reno gave a grin as his tail thumped behind him in a lively manner. His lips pursed slightly, ocher orbs drifting up towards the sky as if they were awaiting something.

But nothing appeared.

Shrugging his shoulders, he chuckled softly as he looked back towars Hallie. "

Well- it's still Reno's secret but Hallie will know. For now, they will find you and speak to you first before Hallie finds Reno again. But, if you find trouble, speak to Reno with your mind and emotions. Reno is good at detecting sorrow and emotions from Reno's closest friends."

Tamiko-chan

Hallie nodded slightly at her young friend. "I've just never worked in a team before," she admitted, glancing between the two other wolves. "My mother had always taught me to depend on myself." It was probably why she had doubted herself so. She didn't seem to have gotten anywhere with her powers, and so she had thought that she couldn't do it. But, she supposed, she had just given up too soon.

Noticing that Jaylin didn't quite understand what her uncle had been talking about either, the adolescent cocked an eye at him. What was he talking about? She wanted to know, but she wasn't about to try and get into hid mind again.

As Reno stretched and began to slink forward, Hal wagged her tail and sort of pounced towards him, her playful side coming out. This was one of the first times that she had ever really been able to do that. As a pup, she had had to focus on surviving and finding her sister, and she didn't have any time for playing. But now, after she had found her sister and it was easier to survive, she could finally relax and play a game or two with her friends.

Letting her tongue fall out of her mouth in a rather silly manner, she lifted her right paw and pawed at the air around Reno's head.

Yet, as he mentioned about how 'they' would find her, she stopped momentarily and glanced into his eyes, as if searching for an answer in them. The only thing that came to mind when he mentioned that was either other wolves or some smaller, less significant creatures. Squirrels? Birds? She couldn't be certain, so she tried to ignore it.

"Fair enough," she said, settling for not knowing the entire truth just yet.

Rising to her paws to completely stand up, she shook out her fur then gave a great yawn. She was rather tired from all of the happenings, and her attempt to get into Reno's mind had fairly drained her energy.

RonsoStryder

The young wolfess nodded, listening carefully to what Hallie spoke of. She understood completely and, many times, Cellen had told her the stories of he and Reno's childhood. Their mother had abandoned them at several months and were left to fend for themselves. Survival became a crucial aspect if either of them sought to live to see another day. It was a brutal fight, but they survived.

As Hallie brought out her playful side, Reno chuckled softly and pawed at her. It seemed rare to have an opportunity to relax and play around but whenever an opporutiny presented itself it made everything sweeter.

"Think of of powerful predators whose boundaries have no limit," he hinted as a shriek sounded from the skies above. Above, a harpy eagle circled around them and began to descend.

Instinctively, Reno looked upwards as a smirk curled upon his maw.

"Hallie and Jaylin," he continued as he settled his vision upon them again, "call upon the eagles and the hawks when there is trouble or if Hallie and Jaylin needs something. The hawks and eagles will tell Reno."

The harpy eagle swept down and perched gracefully upon a withered branch, eyes peering at the Shaman and the two wolfess's with curiosity. With little effort, the eagle glided from its perch and settled upon the shoulder blade of the Shaman.

"They are friends."

Tamiko-chan
Settling back down again, Hallie nuzzled Jaylin as her tail swayed gently back and forth behind her. Life seemed so much better now, compared to her life before as a puppy. She had been alone then, with no one to help her along when she was feeling lonely or insignificant. But now she had countless wolves to turn to. There was, ultimately, her sister. Then there was Reno and Jaylin, the two wolves who shared her pain of being gifted. Not as important was Darius, then following him Carius and Aziz. It was a nice change from before.

Her ears twitching, she heard a shrill cry coming from above her, in the sky. Glancing at Reno, she then moved her nose upwards to get a better look. Powerful predators who have no boundaries, no limits. She narrowed her eyes slightly, attempting to get a better look.

As the eagle flew down and came closer to the wolves, the adolescent took a step backwards. Birds like those could easily take a good chunk off from a wolf if it so pleased. Yet as it landed upon the shoulder of the male, her head tilted slightly.

Friends? It wasn't often that predators--especially from different species--banded together to form teams, friendships. It was strange, and she wasn't quite sure she could believe it.

Opening up her mind, her gaze never leaving the bird, she graced the very outskirts of the great eagle's mind. She felt wings spread, she saw the ground beneath her from the view of the eagle's eyes. She pulled out. Birds and wolves, helping each other. She didn't quite understand it, but if it would help her to contact Reno when she needed to, she supposed she wouldn't question it further.

"Will do."

RonsoStryder
The mind of the great Spirit Guide, Sorenth, was very much open and nor did he mind the wolfess prod the outskirts and limits of his own thoughts and sensations. Curiously, the harpy eagle tilted his head as a small smile slid across his beak.

"Two seers?" He mindspoke into the thoughts of the Shaman. "The small one is your brothers child but what of the other?"

"A dear friend," Reno warmly smiled, sweet thought and highly thinking overtaking his thoughts as he glanced to the side and slightly upwards to level his eyes with his companion.

Sorenth shifted his wings and nodded his head. He understood the powers and aspects of Shamans and Seers clearly and even could surpass the knowledge of those who were gifted. He was, in fact, a Spirit Guide but although there was no ghostly aspect to him; Sorenth was tangible and authentic yet had an intelligence that was bold and deeper than others of his kind.

"I see."

Alongside Hallie, Jaylin couldn't help but yawn and try to keep her eyes from closing. Her eyelids were growing so heavy and the meeting between Seers and Shamans was exciting yet drained her energy. "Hallie I'm sleepy," she yawned again. "Do you want to head back to the packlands?"

Tamiko-chan
Hallie eyed the bird, though she tried not to appear as if she were challenging the great beast. She knew very well the damage she could receive from such a creature, and she was determined to never have to be in a situation where she had to worry about that. But for now, she was still wary. And it was obvious that she didn't trust the bird. Not yet at least.

If she had wanted to, the fledgeling seer might have been able to hear the mental conversation between bird and wolf, but she had resigned herself to keeping out of others' heads for now. She would wait until she was fully rested before she tried anything again, lest she hurt herself or even someone else.

As Jaylin yawned and voiced that she wanted to rest, the adolescent tore her attention away from the eagle and rested it instead upon her small friend. Licking the top of the female's head, she spoke quietly. "Yes, let's go back and maybe get some rest."

Glancing up towards the shaman, she flicked her ears. "Are you coming back with us?" she questioned, her black eyes searching him.

RonsoStryder
A warm smile slid across the females maw as she nodded her head, rose up onto her paws and began to sleepily trail back towards the packlands.

Reno shook his head with a sweet smile. "No, Jaylin and Hallie should go back without Reno. Reno will stay behind."

Padding father ahead, Jaylin looked back and wagged her tail. "Come on, Hallie."

.:Seers And Shaman Continued:.

Tamiko-chan
Hallie nodded at the shaman, though there was an apparent sadness in her dark eyes. She had grown attached to the shaman, despite only having met him that day. It was perhaps the connection she felt with him. It was like the connection she had with Jaylin, because they were all one in the same in the end.

"Okay, Jay, let's go," she said quietly, nudging the pup on the rump. Following the small pup, she walked almost out of sight of the shaman. But before she left, she stopped and looked back.

"I hope to see you again, Reno," she spoke, before turning back around and disappearing with Jaylin.

RonsoStryder
Nudged forwards, Jaylin slowly dragged her feet onwards as her body was tired. Even the toughest and most wild of pups needed their share of sleeps and naps and Jay had gone too long without one. Stumbling just before Reno was out of sight, she looked back with hopeful eyes, pleading that Reno wouldn't leave just yet and that he'd return later to the packlands.

"Will you be back later tonight to play and tell stories, Uncle Reno?" She yipped, tired though keeping a soft whine in her voice hoping to sway him into returning again for another day.

Looking towards the two Seers and up to Sorenth, Reno chuckled softly. "Yes, yes," he replied with a nod of his head, "Reno must do some things first but he will return later tonight to see both Jaylin and Hallie." Narrowing his soft, calm orbs towards Hallie, the young Shaman lowered his head respectively.

"We will meet again, Hallie," he spoke as he watched her depart with Jaylin back towards the packlands. "Our destinys have only begun."

Destiny Unfolds: Jaylin's Dream

"See."

"Hear."

"Trust."

"Learn."

"Faith."

"Destiny."

Jaylin stood in total darkness alone and forsaken. Her curly tail clung to her side as she cautiously sought any who were near or for anyone. Where was she? And who was speaking? Her ears flattened nearly against her skull as she bit her lower lip.

"Da'? Mum? Valen?" She called out, a whine drawing from her maw as she traversed through total darkness, not knowing where each footstep would take her or where exactly she was. "Anyone?"

Silence.

Whimpering softly as she sunk down onto her stomach and wrapped her curly tail around her, the darkness began to receed as several figures began to appear and the once bleak surroundings were trasforming into a tranquil setting- one that was within the forest yet secluded from any disturbance or from those who would never notice such a place. She lifted her head and narrowed her cerulean orbs to the new scenery and where three wolves sat before her.

Her jaw quivered as her eyes widened. "Wh-who are you?"

"Who we are does not matter," the first spoke with a calm, warm smile spread across its maw. "What matters is you and what you are to become. But what I can tell you is that we are those who have walked before you, we are those who have developed a spiritual foundation and the gifts that you will soon bear."

"The same powerful emotions of the heart and mind that you will learn to weild," the second chimed.

Jaylin blinked, tilting her head sighty as she hesitated. "Those who have walked before her" and "powerful emotions of the heart"? She didn't quite understand what they were trying to tell her. Was this important or was this another of those strange dreams that she had recollected. Just as she opened her mouth the thrid interjected:

"Jaylin, you have been given a gift that will develope in time and we have been sent to educate you as best we can before your journey begins when you awaken. You have been given the gift of the Seers," the third announced with a deep, prideful voice.

"How- how do you know my name? And I'm a Seer?" Wrinkling her muzzle as she knitted her brows, the small pup shook her head. "This can't be real...I'm dreaming!"

"We can read your mind and listen to your thoughts," the second replied.

"You're a Seer, but not just yet. You still have to learn and become one and learn to weild your abilities when the time is right."

"And this is only the begining," the first smiled, tail thumping behind. "And you will become like those now and of the past."

"How will I learn? What do I do to learn about these powers?" The small female questioned. This was all too surreal but, somehow, she didn't throw out or disregard the spoken information which the three wolves presented her with. She was...a Seer? She had known little of their works or what they do but, from what Cellen and Nix spoke of, they honored them and highly reguarded them for their actions as they are known for helping other wolves.

"That is for you to decipher and discover, Jaylin," the second remarked. "Through your trials, experiences and discovery, you will find yourself and learn of what you are capable of and what is required of you."

"Know that it will not be an easy path," the first sorrowfully spoke, "yet if you will have faith and overcome whatever challenge will present itself, know that you will find success and become one who will save and redeem others from the darkness and from danger although, sometimes, you can never change the individual and such actions are futile."

It wasn't going to be easy? And there would be challenges and dangers that would continuously face her? Jaylin furrowed her brows as she shook her head. "I didn't want this! Why me? Why did I have to be chosen! Can't Valen have the powers?"

"You have been chosen but to persue this ability is your choice. You can either seek to learn and gain these abilities or you can waste such a precious gift that has been only given to a select few of wolves since the dawn of time."

"You must decide," the third chimed in..

"Fate rests in your hands!"

"You have been given a gift, you must decide!"

"Why me? Why me!" She yelled. "Why?"

The scene before her began to revert into utter darkenss as the three wolves began to fade away from existence. Jaylin gritted her teeth as she watched helplessly.

"Cant you tell me anything!"

"You will learn in time," the first spoke, "you will learn."

Stirring from sleep and jostling awake, Jaylin panted slightly as she darted her gaze in all directions. It was night time and everyone wa still sleeping soundly. Quivering as she could still hear the voices echo within her ears, Jaylin laid back down to sleep and huddled close to Nix.

"I will learn in time," she whispered as she closed her eyes and slowly drifted off to sleep once again.

Unlocking Secrets

RonsoStryder
Seek.

Learn.

Strive.

These three words continued to surface within every thought of the young wolfess, echoing within the back of her mind and unceasingly making her reflect and yearn to become a seer. She had met another wolfess upon the same quest, Hallie to be exact, who knew so much compared to herself. Jay had idolized her and wanted to strive to become half the seer she was becoming but why was it so hard to get a handle on her powers?

She needed help and needed someone else to share her secret with and, if possible, decipher how she could grow.

With Cellen, Nix and Valen still slumbering as the morning sun already had taken its place within the sky, Jaylin quietly padded out from their den and began wandering out towards the scattered woods that bordered the pack lands. Her cerulean eyes were weary as they still felt heavy and paws that felt burdensome and weighted were dragged across the course grass underfoot. She felt lost, disoriented and utterly confused. Voices, eerie dreams and the sensation as if she was constantly being watched from afar or from within the shadows had spiked the sensation of caution and vulnerability. Jaylin always hated feeling so prone to danger; fear creeping into her skull and her fur bristling upon her body- it was never comforting and only increased her forlorn feelings.

Looking up towards the sky as she aimbled down towards a small stream, the young wolfess sighed and closed her eyes.

"I'll never understand," she thought, hoping someone or something could catch her train of thought and, if she was lucky, maybe have another encounter with "her kind" once again.

Slowly drawing her eyes open and positioning her head towards the ground, Jaylin's curly tail drooped behind her as she trudged over towards the stream. Alone and overcome with too many thoughts to tend to, Jay sunk down on her stomach and laid her head down upon her crossed paws, peering into the stream and trying to sort out why everything was happening and how she could ever control it.

Werewolf
Although by now Amélie had just about managed the art of traveling in darkness, thanks largely in part by the constant thrumming of her mind, she still enjoyed relaxing and letting it rest once in a while. In such instances, she followed the stream. It ran almost straight through the packlands from shore to wood, and as long as she kept to it she was never lost for long. The sound of it pleased her- and with her mind not bothered with the world around her, she could focus on other things.

Namely- poking about Phib’s mind. It was a serious breech of her ‘code’- but then, the lure of always being with him was almost as pressing. She knew he must not have liked it; but she really wasn’t grabbing at his thoughts and demanding things out of context. The mind of a person was much more complicated then people thought- it often said things it didn’t actually mean, and sometimes it spoke wisdom while others it spoke foolery. Although it was impossible to tell them apart- she had learned to appreciate a certain kind of personality, and pick from there.

Sometimes he must have realized her presence- as he would address her peculiarly in thought. In embarrassment, she’d never answered.

But as she was strolling and pondering the possible moral quandaries that came with potentially spying, a feeling which by now was becoming quite prevalent, slipped through her mind and jostled her thoughts. She stopped and shifted, her blank eyes fluttering compulsively. That feeling again- was it Hallie, or Az? Or Chip? But even a careful poke told her it was not. This one was a familiar face- it was a growing pup, one of Cellen’s.

“Hello, hello!” Amélie smiled, and eagerly walked across the stream. Perhaps she had misheard herself.

RonsoStryder
With her paws flopped and her head buried in between, Jaylin was drifting between thoughts and musing ideas of how exactly was she to learn of these "powers" or how to use them correctly. She didn't want to waste such a rare gift but, at the same time, she yearned to have a mentor of some sort rather than the voices that had been vaugely instructing her and guiding her in the minor steps in the art of becoming a seer.

Her ears suddenly perked upwards as the sound of footsteps and a familiar voice broke the silence and her lost train of thought. Jaylin rose her head slightly, cerulean orbs like those of her father though solemn and glassy with small tears yet to fall looked up towards the visitor.

It was Amelie.

Although Jaylin did not know much of the wolfess, Cellen always spoke highly of her as well as Phib. The small female knew well of her kidness and it was more of a blessing and an answered prayer that someone other than her family had come her way.Maybe this was an opportunity to tell another about her secret?

She hoped so.

"Morning Amelie," she greeted with a soft and slightly shy voice. Her eyes conveyed trouble and a restless feeling; Jaylin didn't know what to do and her emotions were seeming to take hold of her. Blinking as she bit her lower lip, Jaylin mused silently.

"Should I tell her? Maybe I'll wait..."

Werewolf
A smooth smile crossed about Amélie’s lips as the words fluttered across her mind. She had something to tell her? Well- she would not go pestering it out. Politely, she reigned herself in, and took a few cool steps through the water. “Good morning Jaylin,” She started, crossing over to the other bank and collapsing softly in a lazy heap. Some water dribbled down from her silver coat, and she took a moment to lick off the much from the bottom of the stream.

“What are you up to today?” She asked finally, pulling her legs up so she was seated a bit more daintily on the cool ground. Despite the winter’s occasional snows, grass still managed to grow besides the stream. It was hard, tough grass, and she liked how it crunched when it was frosted. Now it was smooth, and poked her gently at the shoulder.

Her face drifted as she moved her head about. "It is quiet here, I think. Hopefully I am not interrupting good thoughts," The female apologetically obscured.

RonsoStryder
Her heart seemed to beat faster within her chest as she bit her lower lip. In no way could Jaylin find a reason not to trust the older wolfess and there always seemed to be something so mystical about the silver pelted female. A soft sight escaped from her maw as a small, warm smile curled upon her maw.

"Nothing much," she remarked as she padded to where Ame rested upon the banks of the small stream and flopped down beside her. "Well, it's just- it's just-"

the words were stifled as they couldn't slip free as easily as she hoped they would. But she didn't want to hold onto the weight of carrying such a secret for too long and Jaylin was confident that she could trust Ame with such a secret.

"Ame, can I tell you something?" Curling her tail about her body, the small pup peered up into the serene eyes of the wolfess. "I'm- well, I'm becoming a Seer...I mean, I'm not one yet but I'm learning but I'm just so confused."

Somewhat flustered and holding back her emotions as a typical tom-boy would do, Jaylin knitted her brows.

"What would you do? I don't know what to do and I can't keep hiding it from my family for much longer."

Werewolf
The silver wolf grinned as the child dismissed her comment, and the end of her tail thumped against the shore. Cellen really did have precious children- although she’d yet to see much of his little boy. She couldn’t have been happier with the pack doing so well, and children practically rolling out of every bush. It was only when Jaylin began to hesitate that her thoughts went back to the immediate, and she looked to her. “Oh...?”

As she listened to the younger wolf speak, Amélie could not help but pull her head carefully back and alight her ears. So that was it! Although- she had suspected somewhat. The noise that she encountered typically preceded the arrival of another seer; perhaps now she could be sure of it. But who told her such a thing? “A seer, now? How did you decide that was what was happening?” She spoke gently, the end of her tail still swaying.

“But,” She pursed, and thought. She was so young! “If I was to become something- whether seer, or otherwise, it’s always good to do so slowly. You have to figure out your bearings. Then, you will be prepared. But never be afraid of your family. They can help you more then anyone else can."

RonsoStryder
The young pup continued to bite her lower lip, ears falling back almost against her skull as her eyes dropped towards the ground. It seemed so odd to hear from the mouth of a pup that they were becoming a seer, maybe even crazy, but the dreams and the voices held testament yet everthing seemed so surreal.

"Well," she began as she took a deep breath, shoulders slumping as she gritted her teeth slightly, "all of these strange voices started to talk to me in my head, making me feel as if I was being watched. But all of the feelings got stronger but once I met Hallie, she's a seer too, she helped me with some of my confusion and tried to tell me what I need to do."

Jay shook her head to the ground and flopped her paws over her eyes. It just wasn't making sense! Why couldn't she understand any of this?

"How am I suppose to tell my dad? Or anyone in my family! The only one who understands me is Reno and he's a Shaman who at least gets help from a spirit guide. I-I don't think I can tell him because what if he..." Her nostrils flared slightly as she tried to hold back the tears.

"I never wanted this, maybe I'm not good enough. But holding a big secret like this is hard enough!"

Werewolf
Amélie frowned, and gently lowered her head. She was delighted to hear that Hallie had helped Jaylin- and if it was true that the young girl was hearing voices, then it was very likely that she was indeed a seer. But she was troubled and understanding of the girl’s fears. After all- she hadn’t gone through her own trials any different.

“Sometimes things can be scary, I think. And sometimes they scare other people- and although they might not know what to think, it would be worse for them to see that you had kept something from them.” She shook her head sadly. “I don’t like secrets- but even I tried to hide what it is I am. Had things not happened fortunately- I am sure Phib would have been very hurt to know I had lied to him.” And- he had been. But thankfully for Phantom- he had created such a situation that Phib had hardly noticed. It still brought guilt to her chest.

“I think for such a young wolf to realize what she must do, she is more then strong enough to handle the things to come.”

RonsoStryder
Small tears began to trail from the cerulean eyes of the female pup. Jaylin hated to admit it but she was scared, afraid and uncertain of what being a seer really meant. Everything had seemed to happen so fast and it was so surreal but at least she had both Reno and Hallie to help her along. But it still didn't soothe the worries that continued to creep within the back of her mind.

"I know, I know," she nodded as she sniffled, trying to stop herself from crying, "I hate hiding it from my mom, dad and brother but I don't know if they'll understand what it means to be a seer. I don't have the best knowledge of what it means or what I'm suppose to do but I'll just have to learn I guess."

Knitting her brows as her paws slid off from over her eyes, Jaylin glanced up towards Ame as she tilted her head curiosly.

"So what exactly do Seers do? I mean, I know they help other wolves and can predict and see things but...is there anything else?"

Werewolf
Amélie wined softly as the small female began to cry, and lightly touched the pup with the end of her nose. “Growing up is fast,” She remarked gently. “I don’t think anyone makes it out without some tears. But you’re never alone- and your parents will have to be understanding.” To this, she smiled somewhat and pulled away. “Many seers here now- and not just Hallie and Jaylin.”

“They might never understand.” She cautioned. “But they will love you just the same, and I am sure they would be very proud. From what you say about your uncle- I don’t think it will be too much of a surprise.”

She paused a moment, considering. There were a lot of things seers could do- and most of them could be more then easily used for doing harm to others. A seer could manipulate the thoughts of others, cause torment- and with each new seer, she couldn’t help but worry. Meskeet seemed all but lost to herself- and that saddened her too. “Seers can do many things. But, you always have to be careful that you don’t grow used to the talents you have, and take them for granted." She shifted. "But- a seer can hear others; sometimes, even if they don't want to be heard, or never even open their mouths. They can do many good things. But sometimes, bad things too. If the person intends it that way." She spoke somewhat sorrowfully.

Feeling the comforting touch of the silver pelted wolfess, Jaylin wrinkled her muzzle and tried to hide her face. For a small puppy to learn of something so mysterious yet burdensome was difficult and Jay was trying to adapt and understand things too quickly. Listening to Ame, the young female nodded her head. "I know I'm not alone and I'm not the only Seer in these woods," she commented in a soft spoken voice, "but, I mean- it's hard."

The mere thought of having to tell her parents and realizing the possibility that it could change her relationship with them made her stomach twist and churn with a sickly feeling. They certainly wouldn't hate her, she was their own flesh and blood after all, but the thought of a bad turnout kept haunting her at the back of her small, confused mind.

"That's why I want to learn. I want to know everything, I want to learn so I don't take these gifts for granted or can't put them to use or help others." Swiveling her ears, Jaylin glanced to the side as her cerulean orbs began to wander about.

"I want to help people."

Werewolf
Amélie smiled with delight. “I can help you help people, if that is what you want to do.” Perhaps all the seers of this generation would help improve the way the woods saw their kind! The idea enthralled her. She had good faith in Jaylin- Cellen was an indispensable member of the pack, and a good friend. Nix was just as kind. They might not understand at first, but she was sure they would come to support their daughter.

“It’s not an easy thing to start. But you are very young to even know you are to be such a thing. I think that says a lot about how much potential you have. And even if it’s frightening, that’s something to be proud of.”

RonsoStryder
A wide grin curled upon her maw as she nodded her head, tapered red hair sweeping across her right eye. "You can help me?" Her curly tail swayed continuously behind her in an upbeat and rapid motion. "Really? I'd like that!"

For a moment, Jaylin knitted her brows in slight suspicion as the same vibrant blue orbs like those of her father, Cellen, seemed to gaze upon the silver pelted female with a hunch and hint of curiosity. Ame seemed to know alot about Seers. Could she-

"Ame," the small female pup softly spoke as her eyes cautiously glanced around only to make sure that there was no one else around or nearby, "are- are you a Seer too?"

She couldn't help but ask and her puppy curiosity was just itching to figure out if she really was a Seer or had a great deal of experience with those who foresaw and aided others. If she was, well- Ame was another person she could go to when things were just too confusing or she was stummped on what to do next. If she wasn't, Ame would be another person she could trust and also seek advice from but not in a seer perspective- more in a casual and normal approach on how to deal with everyday occurances.

Werewolf
Amélie swayed her tail. She did not like to admit she was- but in this rare instance, she made the exception. A child might have a hard time understanding her addling logic. “I am.” She spoke softly. “But...it is not something I say often. I do not want my abilities to ever be mistaken for me being something I’m not.” She breathed. “I...think it’s important to always be remaining who you are. I help where I can, but I will not change.” She had made a determination upon it. Quietly- she looked towards Jaylin.

“And I will help you.” She uttered. “In whatever way I can," The grey female smiled, and gently thummed her tail.

If only she had been so you when she had started! She might have been more help. But as she grew, Amelie was sure she could try. She seemed to be helping so many lately- but she would not allow herself to turn anyone away. She only hoped she was strong enough to help others who would so quickly grow in strength and power themselves.

RonsoStryder
A warm, sweet smile curled upon the young female pups maw as a small sensation of the burdens that plauged her felt as if they were lifted off of here just from knowing that there was yet another Seer she could turn to besides her dear friend, Hallie. Drawing closer to the silver pelted female, Jaylin nuzzled tenderly against Ame and looked up into her vibrant eyes.

"I won't tell anyone," she nodded. "And I'm not going to let these powers change me into someone I'm not. I'm just Jaylin but I have a gift to help others."

Behind her, her fluffly, curly tail thumped and swayed with a more estatic nature. Everthing had seemed to happen so fast yet the outlook so far looked good; Jaylin was still new to her powers but she already had three other wolves to turn to and whose brains she could pick concerning questions and logic.

Though she was a bit stubborn to admit it, Jaylin still wasn't sure where to start but she figured she'd have to know where to start in square one before she progressed.

"What do I do now? I mean- how do I begin?"

Werewolf
Amélie squeaked happily. She hoped it was a sentiment the pup would continue on with. The woods were far too clotted with seers who used their abilities for selfish reasons. In Amélie’s mind- if they were to be gifted, it was for a reason. And it could never be a reason that pertained to themselves. Great things could be done with abilities like theirs. “Right now, I think you should be worrying much about growing, yes?” She smiled, and shifted her tail. “Lots of things will change, but, you still must get bigger for them to really make an effect. For now-“ She pondered, craning her head.

“Be careful of what you take on. Go slowly, and listen. Mind knows when it’s ready, but you can’t force it to be ready either. One step after another.”

RonsoStryder
The small female nodded although a slight frown did manage to slide across her maw. But Amelie was right- she needed to worry about others things and, perhaps when she would be older, in time she would come to better understand the strange gifts which she had been granted and there would certainly be new challenges and opportunities that would present themselves.

Jaylin shrugged her shoulders and smiled. "Okay, I guess it's kinda silly trying to make everything make sense now. I just have to wait and see."
With the day growing later and mom and dad probably worried, Jalyin pivoted around and began to pad back. Stalling in mid step, the young pup turned back around towards the silver pelted female.

"When I'm older, can we meet again? Maybe then things will be more clear?"

Confronting Fears

The visions and the voices had never died and, as she was coming into her adolescent age, Jaylin was still confused yet most of her uncertainty was soothed. She seemed to be learning something new everyday concerning her powers and abilities as a Shaman yet she knew before she could progress farther she had to take care of one simple thing.

Jaylin had to tell good ol' dad.

The young wolfess had always worried about telling Cellen and was fearful of what exactly he would think about his only daughter being a chosen seer. Cellen was compassionate and understanding yet, when it came to things concerning Jaylin or Valen, he could get quite the temper and be a bit stubborn. But she knew without a shadow of a doubt that both Nix and Cellen loved her dearly and wouldn't that be enough to soothe her troublesome thinking? Apparently not.

Intaking a deep breath with a slow exhale as she whisped her tapered, crimson bangs from out of her eyes, Jaylin rose up to her feet and began padding outside of the den as quitely as she could.

It was a typical routine; Valen was watching over dear mum as dad was out and about on duty protecting the packlands and being Phibs' ears and eyes for any mischief and intruders who stumbled within the territory. Drifting towards the rights to where the breakers sat and waves crashed upon them with the morning surf, her eyes narrowed to find the bulky, fatherly figure sitting upon his haunches and letting the cool ocean wind ruffle and ripple through his fur.

The young wolfess slowly padded towards him with a small smile, although a hint of uncertainty played through her glassy eyes. "Dad?" She called out softly with a small ring in her voice.

Cellen sat there; meditating and letting his mind reflect upon the surf. He always enjoyed taking some time to himself and sitting upon the shores, watcing the waves roll in and watching set after set of perfect waves roar and crash. He was tired from having to wake up so early yet just hearing the ocean and being able to be so close seemed to rejuvinate his exhaugsted body. With the voice of his only daughter calling out to him alongside the sounds of the ocean, Cellen's metal ridden ears perked upwards as a warm smile curled upon his maw.

"Jay!" Turning his body slightly to face her, the punk wolf chuckled softly. "Well, afty love. What brings you out of the flat?" Taking several steps, Cellen brushed his muzzle alongside hers and nipped at her right ear in a playful manner. "Did I wake you?"

Feeling her fathers warm touch and hearing his british greeting made her laugh softly as she pawed at his face. "No, no," she reassured with a broader smile, "I guess it was just time for me to get up so- well, here I am." She winced slightly as she was trying to pry the words from out of her mouth but they wouldn't come. Sighing slightly, Jaylin knitted her brows and turned slightly away.

She shouldn't have come.

Jaylin couldn't tell Cellen!

But Cellen wasn't slow or dumb to pick up the signs that something was obviously off. Narrowing his cerulena orbs, Cellen swayed his curly tail behind him.

"Somethin's makin' you aggro, Jay," he commented with a soothing, calm tone. "What's the matter? And don't think you can hide it from your Dad."

Her ears seemed to instantly flatten against her skul as her curly, feathered tail curled around her. There was no trying to run away from the conversation now or trying to play it off as nothing. Jaylin gritted her teeth as she grumbled. "I've just been havin' alot of issues..."

"Alot of hang-ups?" Cellen interjected as he tilted his head slightly.

"Yeah. I guess you can say that. Everything has just been a big mess of-"

Horlicks?"

Jaylin nodded her head as she bit her lower lip. Well, at least Cellen was good at predicting how she felt but would he be able to decipher her secret?

"Listen Dad, what I'm gonna tell you- just don't think I'm Mad Aleck, or hat stand, or this is all a howler, 'kay? I know that this might not be your cup of tea but just hear me out."

The causal, calming eyes of Cellen seemed to widen as his only daughter spoke. Dread and worry seemed to linger in every thought as his maw gaped open slightly. "If this is about feelin' hot to trot and getting into your own mess of sixes and sevens just tell me the blokes name and I'll kill him," he growled, eyes seriously fixed upon her and searching to see if she was hiding that she had skived out on them for a fling or two.

"Just because I did it in the past doesn't mean it's acceptable," he added with remorse and a stern, fatherly attitude.

Had Cellen flipped his lid? He seemed hardcore about the conversation yet he really had no clue that the subject he was referring to didn't concern her at all. Jaylin's maw seemed to drop as she gave a blank stare. "Dad, DAD! It's not that- I mean, that's not the situation...it's something else."

His heart seemed to suddenly stop as he felt sick. Oh no, no, no, no! "Bloody- you're not pregnant are you?"

"It has nothing to do with that!" Jaylin snapped, eyes glaring and her whole composure flustered and aggrivated. "I'm not like you, Dad! I know who I am and I know what's in store for me. Take this seriously, please!"

Cellen's ears swiveled back as his muzzle wrinkled slightly, a look of hurt within his eyes. His past wasn't spotless, nor was it pure, but that's why he sought a new life, a new pack, and to actually settle down with a family. The words "I'm not like you," rang through his ears continuously as he bit his lower lip and closed his eyes.

"Jay I'm- I'm sorry, I just get so worried over you and Valen. I don't want you makin' the same howlers I did, you know?"

Guilt seemed to overwhelm her as she slowly padded closer, her muzzle nuzzling deep into his pelt. "No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that but you what, I'm proud to say that I'm your daughter and I've never been ashamed of you." Delicately licking his cheek, Jaylin smiled softly as she leaned against him.

A warm smile trailed across the punk wolfs maw as he nuzzled Jaylin. "So," he began with a soft, hushed voice. "What is it you wanted to tell me?"

This was it.

"Dad, I'm a Seer."

Cellen's jaw dropped as his ears perked upwards. Did he hear right? Jaylin, his only and precious daughter, was a Seer? He blinked several times as he searched for words. "You're- you're a Seer? How long have you known?"

"Since I was a pup."

His brows furrowed, knitting together as a slight stupor of thought seemed to overtake him. He shook his head, "Why didn't you tell me? All this time, you were hiding something from me." It hurt that Jaylin didn't tell him and made him feel that she didn't want him to be apart of such a marvelous secret. Pursing his lips slightly, the punk wolf turned away. "Did you think that I wouldn't believe you? That I wouldn't support you, Jay?"

Looking upon her father, Jaylin's heart ached and grew heavy. She knew she should have told him sooner but being a pup with such a secret and weight upon her shoulders hindered her from trusting anyone, even herself. "I didn't know what alot of people would think, Dad," she commented with a whine in her voice. "I didn't tell anyone except for two others who were Seers also." Padding around him, Jaylin sat right in front of him and leveled her eyes with his.

"I know you love me, I could never think of a time where you didn't, and I know you and Mum and Val would support me but I needed time to figure everything out. Please don't be mad! I need your support more than anyones and I need it now." Jaylin buried her whole face into his fur, tears trailing down her cheeks as she couldn't hold back her emotions any more. The journey to become a Seer was difficult but she didn't want to face it alone or all by herself. She yearned to have her father stand behind her in this.

Feeling his daughters tears trail down his fur, Cellen swung his neck to topple over hers and pulled her closer. He didn't like to see Jaylin cry or any wolfess for that matter.

"Jay," he whispered softly with kindness within his voice, "I'm gobsmaked and just mad for it! You have a destiny ahead of you and there ain't an ounce of me that thinks your manky or any part of me that's gutted because of it. I love you, Jaylin. I want what's best for you and I'll stand beside you the whole way." A deep rumble sounded from his throat as he smiled.

"I'll always be here for you, Jaylin."

Nuzzling deeper into his pelt as the flow of tears slowed, Jaylin looked up towards him and smiled warmly.

"I love you Dad."

Cellen's brow knitted as a warm smile curled upon his maw. He loved his two children so much! Jaylin was something special- she reminded him so much like himsef just as Valen did. He couldn't have asked for a better daughter.

"So will you be comin' and goin' from the packlands for a while, Jay-Jay?"

"Just for a while," she laughed softly as few tears still continued to trail down her fur, "but once I sort some things I'll be back. But don't worry, Dad, I'll come back and relax for a few days. Just don't think of me as running away."

The punk wolf grinned as he shook his head. "Wouldn't have crossed my mind. Say, go on now and run after destiny because it ain't gonna wait forever." A piece of his heart seemed to ache; he didn't want to not have Jay around and he would certainly miss seeing her for a while. But she had to find herself and find her true potential and Cellen would stand beside her all the way.

Nodding her head with a sweet, sweet, smile, Jaylin intook a deep breath and suddenly lunged into full strides. The yearning to decipher her inner self and potential was nagging and, now, she was beakoning to its desire to break free. Darting into the thick woods, the young adolescent dissapeared into the thickness and shadows.

For a few moments, Cellen stood there simply watching his only daughter dissapar into the woods. He bit his lower lip as his curly tail swayed behind him.

"May those before you watch over you, my darling," he whispered as he slowly pivoted back and began to continue his watch of the packland borders once again.

Never Prod For Pleasure

RonsoStryder

Voices.

What were they saying?

Why did they have to talk all at once?

Jaylin gritted her teeth as her ears fell back against her skull. The voices continued to bombard her mind unceasingly and the sensation as if she was being watched from within the shadows made her cringe and continuously glance about. Why would anyone want to spy on her? Her life wasn't anything too adventurous- well, training to become a Seer was an adventure in itself but few even knew that she was.

"Hide, Hide! It's a wolf!"

"Don't look into it's eyes!"

"It may be looking for it's next meal!"

Her eyes narrowed into the shadows of the oak trees and into the foilage. A snarl flashed upon her maw as small hackles became audible. "Stop talking!"

Silence.

"About time," she huffed with a mild relief.

The young Seer sighed as her shoulders slumped, her curly tail falling limp behind her as she continued to drag her feet across the snow encrusted ground below. Her vibrant, blue eyes leveled, searching for anything or anyone who might be out wandering within the woods. She needed to get away from the packlands and search, search for something or at least try to decipher how these powers worked and how to use them properly.

But where to start?

Practicing reading minds? Listening to the secretive thoughts of others? Or perhahps she should start to try to interpret the strange dreams that had haunted her sleep?

Jaylin didn't know.

Shifting onto a well trodded deer path where old paw prints seemed to fade, the young wolfess aimbled and weaved past trees and bushes as only her weary, tired paws seemed to drag her towards an unknown destination. She didn't know where she was going or what she'd end up finding but at least anything would be better than returning back home to the packlands for now.

Mavis was busy running from something or someone. Faster and faster he ra, unable to run away from the thing he was most desperately trying to escape from. Glancing behind him, he saw no one behind him. Whipping his head forward, he spotted a tree. Having no time to avoid it, he dug his heels into the ground, only to slam into the tree headfirst. A flash of light filled his senses followed by stars. "********," he managed to say after the stars had disappeared from his vision, the pain in his skull a dull throb. Shaking his head, he picked himself off of the ground only to find himself dizzy. 'You shouldn't have done that,' a voice said to him.

He spun around, expecting to see another wolf nearby. 'What, forgotten about me already?' Mavis narrowed his eyes slightly. Of course he would be here. He was always here. "What do you want, Dämon?" he snarled out loud. 'Why have you traveled so far away from father's lands?' Mavis growled deep in his throat. He didn't want Dämon to think that he had wandered away from their father's land because he hated it there. He still wanted to find mother, but first he had wanted to find his brother. He had gotten word that Beere'Augen was selected from the Gods to become a Seer. Sighing, he gazed around as he heard a voice from far away. Ignoring Dämon's words, he slowly started to wander in the direction he thought he had heard the voice coming from.

RonsoStryder
Jaylin knitted her brows as she glanced around, her head tilted slightly as she bit her lower lip. Was she hearing more voices from her mind or was there actually someone else nearby? Maybe Hallie had caught hold of her scent or maybe Reno had trailed her since he knew all to well that, as of lately, she was distressed and upset, confused and ovewhelmed. She lifted her muzzle into the air and intook the chilling air through her nostrils.

"A stranger," she muttered to herself as her ears perked forwards, more alert and cautious, as she pivoted and lightly trailed upon the path she had stumbled upon once again.

The young wolfess couldn't contain her curiosity and excitement was something that her body craved just as it did food and water. Slinking through brush and lurking within the shadows, Jaylin grinned as she could see the mysterious wanderer just a few feet away. But who was he?

She wanted to know.

Drifting out from the shadows in a casual, non-chalant manner, the earthy pelted wolfess smiled warmly and padded a few feet from him.

"Hey," she called out as she sat down upon her haunches, her fluffly, curly tail thumping behind her. "Are you lost?" She was tempted to prod the outskirts of his mind and seek the answer for herself but,- well, she wouldn't rush into things too quickly. Not just yet, that is.

dbz2004

Mavis padded around the forest, ignoring his darker half's protests. Hearing something snap, he instantly stopped in his tracks and gazed around. 'Another wolf. Be careful,' whispered Dämon harshly. Mavis growled deep in his throat at Dämon, wanting him to disappear. The darker half merely chuckled at his lighter's half's attempts to rid himself of the menace. 'Don't worry, you'll need me later on in life. Trust me.' Mavis sighed as he turned around to find another wolf approaching him.

He flicked his ears slightly as the wolf talked to him, its voice a little high pitched for it to be a male wolf. Seeing that the newcomer was a femme, he raised his tail slightly and gazed at her curiously. "Lost? I'm not lost. Just wandering around. Are you lost, miss?" he asked her curiously. He hadn't seen her around so he assumed that she wasn't from around this part of the forest.

He gazed at the femme's body and noted the curly tail. 'Hmm...was a pretty specimen of the opposite gender. She might be good enough to mate with.' Mavis narrowed his eyes out of instict of Dämon's words. The darker half had pushed the last button with Mavis. "Not mating," he muttered under his breath at Dämon's statement, indicating to the other side that he didn't want to concentrate on getting a mate yet. He wanted to get the family back together.

RonsoStryder
A sheepish grin seemed to slid across her maw. Out of all the questions she had to question if he had lost his way while she had no idea where she was heading. Brilliant! "I- I guess you can say that," she mused, feeling uncertain whether she could call herself "lost" or just mindlessly seeking to put her troubled mind to rest. "I'm just looking to clear my thoughts somewhere."

Jaylin let her cerulean orbs sink towards the snow lathered ground as she swept her right forepaw side to side within the soft powder. What was she doing out here? It seemed that it was more of a mysterious drive to run so far away from home than to search for a place to call her own; a secret place where she could meditate and let he thoughts endlessly wander and ponder upon till she was satisfied with having found the answers to her curiosities and endless questions pertaining to herself and others that she deeply cared about. The young Seer was in need to find that certain piece that was missing from the puzzle of her life but what exactly that puzzle piece was she couldn't be too certain.

As her vision drew upwards to level with those of the adolescent male, Jaylin became slightly confused.

Was he staring at her?

A smirk drew across her face as she watched his facial expressions and noted his mouth moving with silenced words, hushed perhaps to keep them from her own ears.

This was tempting.

Focusing just enough, Jaylin began to prod within the outskirts of Mavis's mind. She could hear thoughts and a voice, though it wasn't clear. It was confusing as to whose it belonged to or its purpose but there wasn't enough time to reflect on it. A sudden sharp pain surged within her mind and she withdrew herself. The wolfess winced, gritting her teeth and shaking her head as if to wisk the pain away. This was...strange.

Trying to regain herself from such a mysterious incident, Jaylin blinked and looked back towards Mavis.

"So what brings you all the way out here to these forsaken parts of the woods?"

dbz2004

Mavis nodded his head at the reply the femme said to his question. He didn't want to admit it, but he was lost, too. Something had spooked him into running away from the area he wanted to explore in to see if his brother was there. He hadn't gotten the chance to go looking for Beere, nor did he have the chance to rest after running some distance. His fears made him believe that whatever spooked him was still after him until he had ran into the tree.

He flicked an ear as he noticed that the femme had spotted him staring at her. Turning his gaze down at the ground, he brushed the dirt with one of his paws, not wanting to show to the femme that he was some kind of a pervert, which he wasn't. He was just curious of the tuft of hair on her forehead and her curled tail.

Feeling the prod of his mind, he closed his eyes and shook his head slightly. He didn't want her to poke around in his mind, especially when Dämon was on the loose. Feeling that her presence was gone, he relaxed his tense body and was finally able to look up at her once he had opened his eyes again. 'That wasn't very smart of her to do,' Dämon commented bluntly. Mavis agreed with his darker half for once. He didn't ask the femme to probe his mind.

Hearing her question, he shrugged his shoulders slightly. "I am looking for my long-lost brother. I was hoping that he might be around here. I am hoping that he is alright, since he is destined to become a Seer when he gets to adulthood. He is the lucky one out of our family. Mother and Father weren't Seers, but he is. I wonder why the Gods chose him to become a Seer and not his brother."

RonsoStryder
Jaylin's forepaws trembled slightly as a dizzy feeling seemed to wash over her temporarily. These powers were hard to handle and it was difficult in attempting to decipher how one was suppose to use them or what potential they could create for the one who was gifted with them. Such a mysterious gift those before her had granted her.

As Mavis spoke about his own brother being blessed with the gift of the Seers, her eyes widened slightly as her ears flattened against her skull. She couldn't help but question herself why she was chosen? Why? What was so special about her? Yes, she did stand out from the crowd with her fluffy, curled tail just like her good ol' dad, Cellen, and her tapered, crimson hair just that she also inherited from her father, the punk wolf, but what did the "Gods" or "those who had passed on" see that was so special in her which had made them give her the rare abilities of a Seer? It was strange to think that such lineage was in her blood yet her uncle, Reno, had been chosen to become a Shaman. Jaylin just didn't understand nor did she believe she ever would.

"I often ask the same question as why I was chosen," she softly whispered, orbs leveling more central upon Mavis as she shifted slightly and turned her head away from him for a few moments.

Her tapered, crimson bangs swung over her right eye as she took and deep breath and exhaled slowly. At that moment, nothing mattered; Jaylin wanted to save herself from the pain and the thought of losing herself and her mind. She could only blame herself for acting so different these days but nothing was like before anymore.

If he heard her secret, she wouldn't deny it or try to evade his questions if he so chose to seek answers. Jaylin wrinkled her muzzle as she slowly turned back around to face the adolescent. "Sometimes," she began with a soft, calm tone in her voice, "we can't question why those who have walked before us choose the individual to inhabit their powers." Though her recent thoughts conflicted with what she was speaking, the young wolfess was musing upon the words that her Shaman uncle had spoken to her before.

"Their logic and reasons as to why will unveil but their perception of time is vastly different from ours. We don't know, some might never know why we are chosen but that's half of the journey."

Biting her lower lip, Jaylin chuckled softly as she nodded her head.

"I know what Reno was talking about now," she thought with a warm smile as it trailed upon her maw. "I know what he means."

dbz2004

Mavis nodded his head, half understanding what the femme was talking about. He had often wondered why both of them weren't chosen to become Seers together. That was then Mavis realized that maybe the Gods didn't want him to become a Seer due to his other half. Him having two personalities and then become a Seer would only cause havok in his body and would cause him to either go mad or kill himself before his quest was complete. He didn't know if his brother had two personalities, too, but it seemed that the Gods were smiling or frowning upon Beere the day they chose the wolves destined to become Seers and Shamans.

He turned his gaze towards the sky as he listened to more words coming from the femme's maw. He had questioned only once why he wasn't destined to become what Beere was to become and that was the end of it. "Those who had fallen before us must have had visions of who was to become one with Them or something like that," he muttered under his breath, commenting to Jaylin's comment. "Maybe the may have known since they became Seers or Shamans themselves who was to become one with Them or not one. We could only guess how their powers work in mysterious ways."

RonsoStryder
"Destiny is just another mystery," she added with a broad smile, swaing her head to the left as her tapered bangs swayed away from her eyes. "Maybe we're not meant to understand the logic of how the past Seer's and Shamans choose those who are to follow in their paths but just because wolves who don't have their powers doesn't exhile them from obtaining greatness. Even without powers and abilities, one can still become legendary. It's not the greatness that makes the wolf, it's the wolf that makes the greatness."

Glancing towards Mavis with a continuing warm, friendly smile, Jay rose up and padded closer towards her. "I'm Jaylin, daughter of Cellen and Nix from the Outriders pack. And you are?"

She didn't mean to make a late introduction. The young wolfess had simply been distracted and fascinated by the adolescent whose sibling seemed to be on the same path she was.

It always intrigued her to learn of wolves who were enduring the same journey, the same search to discover a hidden part of themselves that laid in wait to be unveiled and taken control of. She had already met a few who either were still on their path of understanding and one, Ame, who was a Seer and knew how to control and decipher her powers with ease. Mysterious and elusive, Jaylin couldn't completely fathome even how Seers and Shamans first established themselves and passed down their sacred arts to others yet being able to discuss about it with another wolf never was a dull subject in her opnion.

"So," she began curiously, "your brother is training to become a Seer too? How long has he been on his "journey"?"

dbz2004

"Maybe you're right. Maybe it is the wolf that makes great achievements in his or her life before she fades away into nothing when he or she dies. Seems a little strange that we can do so much with our lives, yet so many seem not to do a damn thing about it. They just seem to say that they can't change their fate or their lives, but many can and do." He closed his eyes slightly until he heard the soft padding of paws approaching him.

Opening his eyes, he gazed up to watch the femme come closer to him. Canting his head to one side, he listened to her as she introduced herself. "I am Mavis, daughter of Flit and Eisig'Flammen, also from the Outriders pack, though I am thinking of wandering around for the rest of my life." He nodded his head, wondering what other packs were out there. He knew his father wouldn't mind him joining another pack, just as long as he found a perfect mate.

Hearing her next question, Mavis shrugged. "I don't know. I've heard it from Father that he was on a quest to become a Seer. That is all I know. I am sorry I don't have any more information than that. I wish I knew how far along he was."

RonsoStryder
"Mavis," she repeated, liking the sound of such a name roll off her tounge. "A pleasure to meet you." Studying his face and pelt, there was a sense of familiarity; Yes, she had perhaps passed by him in the packlands once or twice but never had she branched out and became so adventurous as to meet the other wolves that called the Outriders packlands home. She felt a little embarassed for not recognizing him or realizing that they both belonged in the same pack but, in her logic, she was mending that feeling in making an acquaintance.

Jaylin knitted her brows, eyes searching him with a deeper curiosity. "Not finding what you want in Phib's pack? It's pretty big," she commented as she situated herself back upon her haunches comfortabley, "but there's definately opportunities and the unknown within the woods and the free lands."

Her father had always spoken of the woods being a place that was brimming with hidden secrets and mysterious places; full of danger, mystery and excitement that, sometimes, was not for the faint of hearts. There were strange sorts in the woods such as the nomads, cannibals and even the friendliest of wolves who could be found simply roaming around aimlessly. Some had said that the greatest of adventures laid awaiting any wolves who dared to venture into the free lands, an expansive territory of rolling grasslands yet a common sighting for the bloodthristy creatures known as two-leggers or also known as man.

For anyone to say that there was no hope for anyone to wander lone wihtin the realm of Telk was certainly a fool.

She smiled, a small grin playing upon her maw. "That's alright. I was just curious. I guess I like learning about others who are on the same journey as I am."

dbz2004

Mavis nodded his head slightly, tucking his tail down so that it was parallel with his hindlegs. This lone femme he hadn't seen before but her scent was a little familiar. Maybe he had passed by her and hadn't seen her, but had picked up on her scent many times. His father was the only wolf who was friendly with the members of the pack, but recently he had been with only one wolf, teaching the adolescent English.

Mavis heard Jaylin's question and he shrugged slightly. "It wasn't what I was expecting in a pack. When I was younger I was so excited to actually stay in one place, since my father said that he used to travel around a lot, trying to regain his old memories back. But now that I'm older, this area seems to be a little...not what I'm used to. I want to travel around and meet unfamiliar wolves, and perhaps find myself a mate one day and settle down somewhere to raise my offspring." He shrugged again, hoping that his dreams might actually come true one day if he actually wandered away from the pack.

Mavis smiled back at the femme and he flicked his tail slightly. "I really wish my brother was here with me so that I can help him with his journey, if he did need help. It just feels so different to hear that he is still alive. Most of my life I knew I had a brother, but I didn't know if he was still alive or not. I am a little relieved that he is alive, but the other rumors that I've been hearing are making me wonder if he really is lucky to be alive."

RonsoStryder
The Outriders certainly was a spacious pack, a pack that she would most likely reside with on account that she knew so many great wolves and had made lasting friendships that would never fade but, still, there was a sensation and a desire to break away just for a while for Jaylin to be able to focus upon her journey and learn more about herself and these mysterious powers. She nodded her head and listened intently as the young adolescent spoke. Mavis was kind and the way that he spoke about his brother made her feel as if his dreams would certainly come true one day.

"I'm sure you'll find a mate," she chimed as her fluffly, curly tail thumped behind her in a pleasent manner. "There are so many wolves out there who are looking for the same thing you are, Mavis, and she's out there somewhere for you." What else could she say? Jay was an optimistic and somehow could see that such a dream that he held so dearly was possible.

Time was such a fickle thing; one could never decipher when or where ones desires would actually become a tangible reality yet, when the time was right, it always seemed to happen.

Her brows knitted as she tilted her head slightly, looking upon the male with curiosity once again. "So you have been separated from your brother since you were pups? I'm sorry to hear that." She couldn't even fathome how she would have felt if Valen was separated from her, her own flesh and blood. Her heart would have broken knowing that she wasn't alone and actually had a sibling yet the thought of not knowing them fully would always be a discomfort.

"Is he having trouble?" She softly spoke, concerned if yet another Seer was facing the difficulty that she had faced thusfar. A slight sudden guilt washed over her, causing the female to bit her lower lip and sway her ears back in a slight embarassment. "I'm sorry- I didn't mean to pry into what troubles you."

dbz2004

Mavis sighed and shrugged his shoulders slightly. Part of him wanted to believe her, but the other part, his darker half, wanted him to believe that there was no one out there for him. Sometimes he was torn between the two parts of his mind that he often ran away from his problems. Mavis knew that this wasn't very healthy or very wise, but it worked most of the time. Being in a pack, he knew that there were many wolves seeking advice and friendship of other wolves. A prime example of that was his father. He knew he would be like both of his parents, despite his protests against becoming like them.

Mavis nodded his head at her question. "Yeah, Mother left Father for sometime and somehow brother was seperated from mother when she left to come to the pack lands father went to since he knew the Alpha male. Brother has been gone since then and I have no idea what his life has been like since Mother came back. I haven't seen Mother, though, since Father took me to these lands, but I am sure I will see Mother again soon." He had wanted to go in search for his brother for sometime, but his search for his mother had taken most of his energy and attention.

Hearing Jaylin's next question, he canted his head to one side and looked up at her, a curious expression on his face. "That I have no idea about, but I am sure he is alright. Though I have no proof of that right now. That is why I am going to search for Brother to see if he really is alright and healthy." He shook his head slightly and a tiny smile appeared on his maw. "It's alright. I'm sure I'll ask the same question if you said that your brother or sister was missing."

RonsoStryder
Being separated from his own mother and brother? Jaylin seemed to wince slightly as the spoke words of Mavis's past didn't settle with her easily. Though, more commonly, packs were known to separate and its own members to go their separate ways yet for a family to disband seemed to boggle her mind. Even the stories of wolves falling out of love with their own mates and disgarding one anothers affections for one another made her cringe but, though that wasn't always the case for why partners went their separate ways, even hearing stories similiar to that made her concious. Love; it was such a tricky emotion.

"I hope you find your brother, Mavis," she commented with a warm smile, shifting her head slightly to the right as her tapered, crimson bangs swayed in front of her right eye. "Even though you haven't seen him for a long time you speak of him in the sweetest manner. And you know, they say that siblings have a deep connection with one another and, you never know, he could be looking for you too."

Mavis was kind- Jaylin couldn't deny that.

He seemed so sure yet, at the same time, hesitant with conflicting emotions. Perhaps they were lingering thoughts, feelings that never could be determined nor lead an individual on what to believe. But she could sense that he was strong and with determination Mavis would, one day, find that he would regain all that he lost and perhaps find the perfect mate.

A cool breeze ruffled and rustled the boughs overhead, stirring up the fresh fallen snow and causing it to drift elsewhere. A strange sensation lurked at the back of her thoughts but she tried to ignore it.

Search.

Seek.

Learn.

Journey.

Her ears fell back slightly as she slowly rose up onto her paws. It was time to move on. But did she really have to go so soon? Jaylin tried to fight the thought but it was persistent and unceasing. The same four words bombarded her mind in an anxious and restless manner.

It was time to continue on her journey once again.

"Well," she began as she padded a few steps forward, "destiny's waiting and I can't let it get too far ahead." Smiling with a warm, friendly gesture, Jaylin began to pad back towards the trail which she came from. Before drawing back into the shadows, the young adolescent turned back and grinned.

"Take care Mavis and good luck to you. I know you'll find them, just don't give up."

With her final words, Jaylin suddenly leapt into full strides and dissapeared back into the depths of the woods ever searching for her own destiny and for whatever would find it's way into her path.

dbz2004

Mavis nodded his head. He knew he would find his brother one day, but he didn't know when that would be. He often wondered why his parents weren't together anymore. He knew his father loved his mother very much, yet he wasn't searching for her at all. That settled very uneasily within himself and his darker half often made this uneasiness worse with each passing day. Dämon's harsh words when they were younger cut through him like a knife cutting through butter, but Mavis learned to ignore Dämon's harsh comments as he grew older. Soon he had learned to block out his darker half altogether, like he was doing right now. He hadn't heard a peep from Dämon once since that last comment before Jaylin had stuck up a conversation between them.

"I hope I find him, too. I wonder what he has been doing all these months that he had been on his own," he muttered under his breath, unable to say anything else other than that one statement.

Hearing Dämon stirring in the back of his mind, he turned his attention from Jaylin to his darker half as Dämon began to speak to him. 'So, this one seems like a winner. Why don't you stay here with her?' Mavis shook his head slightly. 'No, I doubt she will like me to stay with her with her Seer quest going on. Besides, you made her uneasy earlier. I highly doubt she will forget about us very easily,' he told the darker half bitterly. Hearing faint words from far away, he turned his attention to the femme in front of him to see her wandering away from him. Nodding his head slightly, he stood up to his paws and shook off the dirt that had collected on his fur. "I hope you take care, too, and good luck on your quest," he yelled at her as he watched her disappear into the forest. Somehow he knew that he may not see her again nor hear of her for some time. Ignoring Dämon's words, he turned around and began to run again towards nowhere in particular.

Seeing Without Ones Eyes

The tranquil morning and run in with the wolf known as Mavis had transformed into the night. From above, the once light snowfall had become heavy and to the point where visibility was compromised and the bitter winds felt as if they were cutting right down to the bone. Jaylin clenched her teeth and kept her head tucked close to her chest as she wandered farther and farther away from the packlands and deeper still into the woods. Snow that, before, barely covered her paws was now trailing up her paws and past her joint.

This was not good.

"I need to find a place to rest," she muttered, ears pinned against her skull while her weary eyes searched for a decent shelter and a place to call "home" for a while before she could conjure up the strength to continue her search and understanding of her Seer abilities.

Her paws ached, painful sensations surging through them as they too were heavy and weary. How long had it been since she left home? She knitted her brows and tried to think. It had only been a few days and she was lacking energy as well as a good meal. It would be too difficult to hunt in the present conditions and just as dangerous to venture farther away and get herself into trouble too. Jaylin's growling stomach would have to settle going hungry for another night and until morning where the young wolfess could attempt to scavange or hunt for something decently paletable.

Up in the distance, a strange sillohette caught hold of her attention.

Jaylin strained to look at the mysterious figure. What was it? She stumbled forwards as the mysterious figure was slowly coming into view yet the snow hindered her perception.

It was a wolf.

"Hey, you there!" Jaylin called out as rushing winds began to thrust through the area with great force. "Do you know where I could find some shelter?"

The unknown wolf gave a simple nod of his head and suddenly lunged towards the right where the mountainous side cut into the valley, up where many of the pathways lead to where the mountain packs resided as well as where many of the stories of mankind were commonly told and encounters were said to have occured.

Great. Jaylin's eyes widened as she watched the wolf nod and then dart away where the mountains began and into the unknown. Couldn't they have waited for her? "Hey! Wait up!" She yelled, suddenly leaping into full strides and attempting to conjure up what energy and strength she could bare to spare.

Pain shot up from her feet and surged through her veins. Jaylin was so tired and had nothing else to give of which her body demanded. But she couldn't give up now, no- she wouldn't let herself fall short. Dashing towards her left, Jaylin panted as she dashed through the soft powder and swayed her curly tail behind her. Turning around the corner where the rough, tapered rocks gauged into the side of the hill, Jaylin's ears perked up. She walked slowly towards the mouth of a cave but hesitantly stalled just before it's entrance.

There was no sign of the wolf that she was following as only an entrace into a strange, small hideaway within the rocks was set before her. Perhaps the wolf was showing her this place? Jaylin wasn't sure.

The young adolescent furrowed her brows and bit her lower lip. "Hey! Anyone here?"

Not a howl or a voice broke through the howlings of the winds and the rustling of the snow lathered boughs above. Glancing from side to side, Jaylin sat on her haunches. What was a wolf to do? Just as the thought to search elsewhere crossed her mind, a tantilizing wafting scent drew from inside the cave and caught her full attention. Her mouth seemed to water and her stomach solaced it's own cries of dire hunger at the marvelous scent. It seemed as if no one was home and there was food that was for the taking. But, on the contrary, she was in foreign territory and many packs held sever consequences for intruders and outsiders.

But there was shelter and food.

Left with no choice and unable to deterr her thoughts from filling her empty stomach, Jaylin silently immersed herself inside the cave.

Deep and hidden away from the brunt of winters snowfall and cold spells, the cave was warm and very comfortable. Just as her senses had been lured, Jaylin found a fresh deer carcass on the left hand side. Before she could even think about anything else or let her worries take a hold of her, Jaylin found herself gorging herself and tearing at the stomach of the carcass wildly. The taste of meat filling her stomach and blood dribbling down from her maw, mixing with some saliva, was refreshing! It didn't take long for the young wolfess to eat enough to tie her over and for sleep to begin to take her hostage.

But the chance to sleep would be short lived.

The sound of footfall made her eyes shoot open and her fur practically stand on end. Scared, Jaylin backed herself into the shadows of the small cave and gritted her teeth. This is not what she planned, this was not what she wanted!

A large yet burly brown wolf, a male to be exact, aimbled into the cave and gave a great yawn. Just as he was to take another step, his ears perked upwards as he lifted his muzzle into the air. His cloudy eyes were of no use anymore but his sense of smell and hearing made up for his loss. He intook a deep breath and gave a small smirk. There was a wolfess about in his home. "Come on out, lass," he gruffly spoke with a thick, deep voice, "no need to hide."

Swallowing and shifting slowly, Jaylin slinked out from the shadows while the male non-chalantly padded over towards the deer carcass. Drifting his muzzle atop it, he smiled and directed his head towards the wolfess.

"I see you found the place and the food, eh? Well, at least you're out of the cold now and away from that nasty weather. But what brings a wolf such as yourself out here?"

A rush of relief seemed to lift a burden from atop her shoulders and from her stomach as well. So this was the wolf that led he here? Jaylin smiled and sheepishly grinned, "Yes, yes, I did. Thank you- uh,"

"Xach," he spoke, thickly and heartily.

"Xach, thank you for your hospitality." Then to adress the second part: "Why am I out here? Well, I guess you can say I'm on a "journey". I needed some time away from and- well, here I am."

settling down and sinking onto his stomach with his tail wrapped around him, Xach's ears perked upwards as his head tilted to the side. "A journey? What is it you're trying to understand, lass?" Yes, she was exactly what his senses before had deciphered. He knew, oh he knew alright, but he would have to let Jaylin figure it out for herself rather than him giving it away all to easily.

Her brows knitted slightly, thoughts rambling as she looked up into his eyes. Before she could speak, Jaylin found herself to look into cloudy pools of sun kissed ocher. He was blind? This didn't bother her at all- not one bit. Besides, Ame was blind yet it always intrigued her on how those with disabilities always managed to fight back and survive with just as much force and drive as anyone and, sometimes, even greater.

"I- I'm just trying to understand myself I guess," she softly spoke, orbs trailing to the side. "But I haven't been too successful."

"And how do you judge success?" Xach's commented, a hint of curiosity deep within his voice.

"Knowing what I'm suppose to do, knowing what to do and how to do it. I don't understand why I feel so inadequite to take on a task, though I had no choice, and fail. What else is there? I'm missing something," Jaylin moaned, her head slumping between her forepaws as she too slumped onto her stomach.

The old, brown wolf pursed his lips and flicked his tail behind him. What was it with Seers today? Every Seer had their powers within them yet sometimes many of them went about the extreme way in trying to unveil them when there were much simpler means to understanding how to draw power from them. Jaylin was strong, he could sense that, but she needed more guidance and insight on how to properly excavate and use her new abilities. She was still seeing with her eyes and her mind was not open; Any Seer would have difficulty when they were not allowing themselves to let their powers naturally disclose themselves to an individual and grow stronger.

Jaylin needed help.

"My young friend," Xach's began with a light chuckle, "as a Seer you must learn to see without your eyes and to open your mind, your thoughts, to greater things. Do not look with your mortal eyes, look with those which you have been blessed with; those of a Seer."

Her jaw gaped slightly as her ears perked up in alarm. How did he know? How did Xach's know that she was a Seer? There was only one way.

"You're a Seer as well?" Jaylin choked slightly, eyes narrowing upon the males softened face.

"Of course, lass! How else would I know? But, still, you, Jaylin need to open your mind; focus, concentrate, and see without your eyes. If you never open yourself, you will never draw from your powers."

The young adolescents ears fell against her skull, muzzle wrinkling as it was hard to hear. Jaylin had been trying to draw from her powers and she had developed the ability to prod within minds and to hear inner thoughts but when it came to visions and understanding their means and value, all it ever became was a hazey picture with muffled voices that really never meant much. She wanted to understand them, Jaylin wanted to interpret them just as well as any Seer as well as perfecting her ability to dive within ones minds and inner thoughts.

"I-I'm afraid to. I mean- how can I see without my eyes and open myself?"

Xach's looked towards her, his clouded eyes warm with the yellow hue yet useless. "All that first are given such a gift are uncertain," he commented with a soothing tone. "But you must not fear them; never let your mind shut it's doors to the connection of anothers mind, thoughts and images. Relax, take a deep breath, and let go."

"Let go?" What was Xach's trying to say? And what did he mean by let go?

He nodded. "Let go; Let go of the past, the heartaches, the pain and the despair. Let go of everything so your mind can focus upon the tasks that will always be at hand. I was able to find you becaue I could hear your thoughts, I could feel the heavy burden within your mind because my mind was "open" and not distrubed by tainted memories and pent up emotions. As a Seer you, Jaylin, must learn to let go."

Jaylin shook her head as small tears began to trail down from her eyes. Her past was not so bleak yet there were moments of despair, moments of sorrow and heartache that toppled over her. She had always known, ever since the day where she dreamed of those three wolves, that she was meant for something yet hiding everything away from her family and even some of her friends had disrupted and left wakes of pain within her life. Hiding such a secret as being a Seer was difficult and it never weighed light upon her. But to let go? How could it be that easy to let go of everything? To forget everything and to be cleansed again and rid of her troubling thoughts?

But she needed to.

She wanted to.

Jaylin needed to purify herself and needed to break free from the chains of her past.

"How do I let go, Xach's?"

The old wolf smiled warmly, tail thumping behind him. "That, young Seer, is for you to discover and that time will come soon." Before Jaylin could even open her maw and plead for him to tell her, the brown wolf continued. "Rest, my young friend. Regain your strength as tomorrow you must press onwards for greater things await you."

The young adolescent scowled slightly but had no energy to pry the information out of him. Xach's knew something, he was a Seer after all, but she would try to find out in the morning. Her eyelids were growing heavy and she couldn't stand to stay awake for much longer. Jaylin needed sleep.

Closing her eyes as her curly tail wrapped around her along with her stomach full and cotent, Jaylin drifted off into sleep.

Find Rakeun

Find this place!

Find Paradise.

The young Seer must find Rakuen; find the safehaven from the world.

Curled tightly as her head was tucked in between her paws, Jaylin's eyes fluttered slowly open as voices seemed to echo within her mind strongly. Shifting her head in an angle side to side, the adolescent moaned and drew her eyes open. She intook a sharp breath as her body seemed to jerk back, eyes fixed upon what was before her. Tawny brown ears flickered as her maw seemed to drop. "What- what is this place?" She stammered, whispering softly as she staggered onto her paws.

Before her sat a lush, green valley whose hills and plains seemed endless and vast. A lake with rivers that fed into its great depths resided within the middle as countless animals seemed to dabble around it and within range of the cool, crystal blue waters. If one could imagine an ideal safehaven- a hideaway and retreat away from the world and the woods, this place, these lands, were fit for any creature who was looking for solitude, equality and no bloodshed whatstoever. Simply, it was perfect that had, somehow, managed to find a tangible form within existence and where animals of any species could co-exist with no fears between one another. Mountains and thick woods seemed to create a boundary around the sacred lands which, for those who were not to learn of the way in, would not easily allow those who would seek to distrub such a place within its borders.

You must find this place!

Young Seer, you must!

There is another who will find this place and you must find them!

Find them! Find Rakuen!

Her brows knited as she sat down on her haunches. Was this really paradise? Sure she had heard the legends and tales from story tellers of wolves seeking and striving to find 'Rakuen' and escaping from the torment and misery of these lands to find a place such as the one set before her but was this it? Jay bit her lower lip as she rose up onto her paws once again and began padding upon the soft, course grass.

"This is-"

Paradise.

This is it!

Her ears seemed to flatten slightly against her skull as she pursed her lips. Why were these voices so strong? Coming to reason, Jaylin could only hold true that this place indeed was paradise. Although her vision of the lake and rivers were clear, most everything else seemed hazey and shrouded from her sights. Was this another warning? Or perhaps she wasn't mean to she whatever it was?

If only things could make more sense around here!

"Paradise."

Flicking her tail to the side, Jaylin wandered far past the lake and towards the thick trees that seemed tangled and entwined. Slinking low almost upon her stomach and manuevering herself through the low branches that hung from the top, the young Seer came across three shrouded figures who settled alongside one another.

"We will establish it here then?" One of the three spoke with a soft, delicate ring to her voice.

"It will be here where the Shaman and Seers will congregate, coming and going, to learn of which packs they will aid," another voice replied.

"This will be our new home," the last one spoke, a deep yet soothing voice assuring the other two of their decision.

Who were they? Certainly they were wolves- it was a given because of their structure and figures, but what were they to establish? A new home? And what of Seers and Shaman's? What were they planning? So many questions were rushing within her mind yet so little evidence or insight could be derived from such a mysterious gathering.

Find the one that seeks this place!

Come to Seer's Cliffside, young one. Come learn of what is in store for you!

Yes! Learn of what you are before you can find paradise.

Before any other assumption or question could be asked, a view of a towering peak whose lights seemed to touch the earth came into view of the wolfes. It's cliffs were jagged, posing death to anyone that wandered with no knowledge of its domain, yet the impression to acutally journey far towars such a place builded up within her. Just as Jaylin was to take a step forwards and venture towards it, the scene before her went black.

Snapping her head upwards as her eyes shot open, Jaylin panted slightly.

She was still in the den of the blind Seer.

Flicking her ears back, Jaylin settled her head back down upon her crossed paws as she mumbled softly.

"Seer's Cliffside...I have to find it.."

Is It Always THIS Hard To Get Directions?

Kealdrana Sasaiuni
The sun was high in the air, the world was filled with its jubilant rays, and Shore was perfectly happy. His dark tongue was lolling gayly out of his mouth as he pattered this way and that in that strange way which he held himself. One ear forwards and the other slighltly turned to the right. Not to mention his head was always at a slight angle, making him seem no more than a teenager with perfectly bad intentions.

For the most part Shore did have good intentions, or at least he'd like to think. Stick up for the little man, like himself. Besides, he was a successful hunter, and even if he'd run with his tail tucked from any fight, he could always pay someone to stab them back later. Then again, why resort to such measures when Crane could do it for you. Of course, Shore was to kind a man to go through with any of these expeditions, and he'd never met a wolf with whom he'd wished to quarrel, besides.

That wasn't to say he didn't get into trouble. Oh no, he was perhaps the prince of such events, for Crane was surely the king. It was a title Shore held to the greatest of heights, no other could match him in mayhem and fun. The whole word was full of these funny paraodies and crazy ideals. Why shouldn't he seek out them for what they were worth?

But by far the most heartening thing that Shore could possibly experience was something not of the mind, but of physcial motives.

Women.

His lust for such things was unmatched by all, except perhaps Crane, but Shore tended to limit himself to unpartnered wolves.

All thoughts aside, it was at this time that he caught sight of this formentioned like, and with that cocky grin and carefree nature, sauntered her direction. He kept his tail at an even height, his head cocked just perfectly, and his maw possessing that warm grin all the while.

He stopped only when he was near next to her, and began to talk in a thick, deep voice that was little more than a strong whisper. A voice that most tended to listen to, no matter the subject. "I couldn't help but noticing your perfectly formed thighs," he said, that crazy grin broadening on his face. "Care to share?"

What a day.

Jaylin's head ached after recognizing her newfound abilities and "opening" both her mind and her eyes to a new potential. Xach's had shown here that there was much more entailed in the journey to become a Seer and aside from the strange dream that left its confusing wakes within her very train of thought, Jay was searching for the one place, Rakuen was it called?, of Paradise where there were greater secrets in wait for those who could ever stumble upon it.

It still was a bit puzzling, yet Jaylin yearned to find a place where she could better understand herself and draw from her powers.

What time was it?

Looking upwards towards the heavens above, Jaylin squinted her eyes and wrinkled her muzzle. From the looks of it, it seemed like a late morning and the suns rays were dousing the ground and causing the fresh powder to sparkle and shimmer with some elusive and elegant appearance. Furrowing her brows as she continued to aimble within the snow and drift into the unknown region, the young adult frowned slightly.

"I don't remember any of this," she muttered, musing slightly as her curly tail swayed behind her. "Is this the same place?"

Even with the storm thundering through the land with its heavy snowfall and bellowing winds Jay couldn't even find a familiar scent in the air or a landmark of some sort. Everything seemed like a blur and there was no sense in returning back to ask the old Seer since she had wandered at least several miles away from the small den site.

Confused, frustrated yet still relatively non-chalant and calm, Jaylin padded upon a small pathway where the snow was light and scarce. Glancing towards the left through the withered trees, the unfamiliar scent of other wolves lurking about caught hold of her senses. Stalling in mid step, Jaylin took several steps closer but kept a comfortable distance from them. As the last thing she wanted was to stumble uninvited and have a brawl break loose.

That wasn't on her agenda.

But she was lost. And she needed help finding directions.

Biting her lower lip, Jaylin slowly padded towards them. "Excuse me," she called out softly, her ears folding slightly back while her tail dropped behind her, "do you know where the mountains are from here? I'm looking for a place called "Seer's Cliffside." Sound familiar?"

Relaxed and letting her cerulean blue orbs calmly gaze upon them, Jaylin kept her mind open and ready if there was an opportunit to listen to the secret thoughts of the mind or any other opportunity that presented itself. She wouldn't force it, oh no, but she needed to be weary and especially because she was the outsider of these lands and there were rumors that there were penalties for such intrusions and that was something Jaylin couldn't afford.

Kealdrana Sasaiuni
Now before you jump at Shore as a crazy whore-faced wolf, let us give you the scenario:

The wolf in front of him was none other than Kara, and even has Shore succeeded in wooing her, the lesbian's heart was owed to another. Besides, another factor kept his tongue at hand, for there, at the red alpha's feet was most definately the finest poultry than any wolf had ever layed eyes upon and the red wolf was munching away upon it.

Not only was Shore attracted to her stunning beauty, but deragoatory comments were his speciatly. If she was smart, she'd catch the hint, and if not, well, he could feign innocence of any bad intentions. He waited for that response. The red wolf stared at him.

"Here," she said, rolling her eyes and ripping off some of that tender meat. Shore beamed and took up the prize in his mouth. "Now go away, beggar."

The purple wolf frowned, but it was clear it was only acted, for his tail was still going a hundred miles a minute. He opened his mouth to speak when another fine young woman came prancing up to their side. He seemed taken aback for a moment, but quickly the devious smile returned as he faced the necommer.

"Why yes!" Shore exclaimed, his voice chiruping against the sky. He stood up as though to get a better view and looked around him. "There's one there," he said stretching his head out towards a distant blue peak in the horizon. "And one of over there." Again he motioned, then finally turned around. "And one there, too." His attention once more came back to the lady. "Which one is it that I'm to help you find?"

The red alpha persisted to glare at him, hording her prize between her paws like it was some magical item that everyone was after. "I'm not terribly fond of mountains myself," Shore continued, his mind wandering. "I like vallies better, don't you?"

"You sick freak!" Kara snapped at him, growling a little.

"Oh!" Shore said, with his own roll of the eyes. "Someone is in their time of month." Dead silence followed. The look the red gave him would have made most jump out of their shoes. Shore didn't seem much to notice. He gave her a strange look for a moment and then twisted his head back towards the female. "I'm sorry, my friend is rude, as you were saying?"

This was...strange.

Jaylin gave a forced smile as she shook her head slightly, whisping her tattered, crimson bangs to the right of her eye and bit her lower lip. Of all the wolves she could have asked, it just had to be a male and one that though it had a clever sense of humor none the less. The young adolescent pursed her lips slightly as her tail swished behind her.

"The one's farthest away from the region. They say it's where mankind is commonly seen and there's a passage to some hidden-" She slowly eased herself from speaking too much, ears folding back slightly as she gritted her teeth and slumped her shoulders.

"The ones in the distance, the farthest ones."

The young Seer in training seemed to take a step back, looking from both the strange purple hued wolf and the fiery wolfess. She was somewhat at a loss for words and the idea to forget the whole thing was pleasing her motives as an easy get away. Maybe she could enlist someone elses help? But she had already inclined if they knew the way and to turn her back and run would be a disgrace.

Certainly Cellen, her own punk wolf father, had taught her better manners than that!

Flicking her ears forwards, Jaylin sheepishly smiled. "Oh, I'm just looking to find the right path out of here." Shifting her weight from forepaw to forepaw, the young Seer took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. This seemed to be more than she bargined for but she could handle it.

Right?

"Where exactly am I?"

Shore's face hardened, his gleeful complexity gone. "Go away Kara," he said a bit bitterly.

She opened her eyes wide in shock and stared at the purple wolf. He cocked a brow at her. "How do you know my name?" she said, a snarl coming to her lips once more.

Shore winced, she was so touchy. "I know a lot of things," he said mysteriously and then after a long pause, "Dakolin and Iriana sent me here to get you, but it seems I have pressing matters. Don't go where I can't find you." That was all it took for the red to be gone. She picked up her meal and fled in the direction of the forests, Shore watching her go all the while.

"Where were we?" he asked turning back to the female. "Ah, that's right. This is the point where you won't tell me the oh so top secret thing you are doing." He smiled at her, knowing he was right on target. She changed her story so quickly how could it be otherwise? There was a very long pause as he thought things over, his eyes narrowing and body almost motionless. One wouldn't think he was capable of such thought, but alas, it was there.

"No, you're looking for the Seer Mountains," he reminded her, staring at her sharply. "Now I'm not a seer, and I really don't think it matters in the slightest whether I know of your little 'secret', but there's no way I can take you anywhere unless to tell me exactly what's in your pretty little head. So I suggest you do that, because there isn't anyone around here that won't take advantage of a pretty little girl like you." He gave her a hard stare, trying to push his point across with every bit of seriousness as he could muster.

Jaylin's eyes widened slightly as small hackles seemed to sound from deep within her throat. Who was this wolf? A sense of uneasiness seemed to rest upon her as her softened, cerulean eyes narrowed upon the male. Behind her, her curly tail swept upwards and bristled as her body tensed.

"My destination and what tasks are before me do NOT concern a barmy, manky wolf who think's he's got a hit for six before him," she growled; white fangs flashing as her own innocent appearance faded quickly to one that was rugged and unruly.

Yes, she was a girl, but she was a pure tom boy at heart. She learned everything from good ol' Dad and from her brother, Valen. Jaylin wasn't nieve or helpless; She was the flesh and blood of a great wolf whose countenance wasn't afraid to shed blood if necessary.

Hearing the male speak with his sickly, stomach knotting tone made her cringe and make the fur upon her back bristle, standing on end, as he whole body seemed to hold a sensation to being consumed by such a stange feeling...such a foreign sensation yet, somehow, it was pleasing although eerie and dark. Those who had passed on had warned her that such powers could be used for both good and evil and little did Jaylin know that the darker portions of her abilities were on the brink of manifesting the truth to such feared behaviors.

"You think you're so hot to trot? ******** off. If you even lay one paw on me, you'll be losing more than your motives."

Men.

There were males she coud tolerate, those she love to have be around her, but those who thought they could walk all over her and take advantage after seeing a pretty face made her aggro. Her posture stiffened as she flattened her ears against her skull and hackled deeply.

She wasn't going to go down without a fight.

Shore took a few steps back, if it was one thing he didn't like, it was angry woman. His crazy grin came sharply back however, as he saw the humor in it all.

"It was you who asked where you were, and where to you wished to go, not I," he distinctly reminded her. "I took time out of my busy schedule to make room for your request. Let me remind you of something," his voice was harsh now, he didn't appreciate being belittled by those who didn't understand. "You use words of anger, which remain on bloodshed. The rest of the wolves in the woods are just like you. Good luck finding help."

He narrowed his eyes and sat down to watch her for a moment.

"I really would like to ******** off, but you certainly won't give me an opportunity. I suppose one of us has to be the better woman." He smirked, stood up, and trotted off in the direction of Kara. He hoped he didn't have to see a young face such as hers dead in this world, but it might be the case if she went around talking to strangers like that.

Besides, slinking away was the right thing to do. Crane wouldn't want anyone threating him, and goodness knows where that would go. Big egos made for bad messes. Best not to say anything.

Now where did that Kara go off to?

Seconds later his body was pinned to the ground, the vicious snarls of the red in his ear. "Oh you crazy purple b***h. I know your type. No sneaking up on me!" Shore couldn't help but to yelp, wiggling unhappily beneath the others paws. Where had his good day gone?

"I don't go around assaulting people as their walking!" he retorted, sighing heavily as he weighted for her to get up.

Why did men have to hold a sense of arrogancey? Jaylin furrowed her brows and snarled slightly. Why didn't she just forget the whole thing and wander elsewhere? Oh, that's right...she wanted to be proper. But all that got her was a male who was looking for pleasure than the mountain range that she needed to journey towards.

"Time? Request? Maybe if you acted a bit more serious than it'd be a bit easier than making everything into bloody hell!" What didn't she understand? Maybe prodding his mind could unwravel this disaster? She didn't see the humor in any of it and nor was she looking for humor either; Jaylin was trying to get herself back on track and be one step closer on her journey.

But if he knew where to go-

Watching as he trotted off elsewhere, perhaps in pursuit of the fiery female, Jaylin sighed and trailed him from a distance. Oh, she didn't want to have anything more to do with the strange purple male but she needed to know how to get out of the woods.

A small smirk curled upon her maw as the female had him pinned underneath her, the male yelping and waiting for an opportunity to free himself. Jaylin settled a distance away from them and onlooked the situation with no intention in providing aid.

"Can you please tell me where I'm suppose to head to find Seers Cliffside?" She spoke, her voice trailing with a calm, relaxed tone. There wasn't any use for hostility and she doubted she'd get anywhere with it.

"I just need to find the path or just point me in the right direction."

Kealdrana Sasaiuni
Kara could distinctly see the smirk, and wasn't pleased herself. She didn't want this crazy b***h taking enjoyment for something she'd done. As if to spite her she let the purple wolf up.

Shore was on his feet in a flash, shaking himself off and primping his fur, in a very odd fashion. It wasn't as though he wanted to look good, but he just went through the necessary rituals to please people.

"I don't think we got off to a very good start," he said, hardly looking at the woman. She made him angry and dissapointed, he didn't want to deal with her. "I'm Shore," he told her nonchalanty.

"The mountains you are referring to are quite a good deal away, and you can't get to them by following the direct route there," he had positioned himself in the fore-mentioned direction, the peak towering in the sky-line. His gaze was serene, as though he wasn't really there, and certainly not extremely overjoyed. "Go east, follow the river, and then back around the mountainside." He turned to give her one last gaze.

"If you don't, you'll fall off a cliff and die. Now go away. I don't appreciate rudeness." He flicked his gaze to Kara, ignoring the fact that Jaylin was there. "So Dakolin was saying. . . ."

RonsoStryder
Great.

Jaylin rolled her eyes slightly as the gaze of the red wolfess matched hers and, with pure spite, let the purple male up from his helpless position. What was next?

Her ears perked forwards as he spoke, hardly adressing her as or even making eye contact with her. And he was suppose to be some sort of charmer and a likeable sort?

"Jaylin," she spoke softly, her curly tail swaying in a slightly irritated manner behind her. "A pleasure, Shore." Throwing her head to the side, the tapered, crimson bangs of the wolfess swayed to the right once again and covered her eye as she sat there, listening and awaiting any directions the male would throw at her.

And- he was?

For a manky wolf, Shore at least had a good sense about him whether Jay would admit it or not.

No direct route? Maybe this was a bit more than she hoped for.

"East, follow the river, and back around the mountainside," she softly repeated, memorizing the specific instructions with detail. This was her only way of getting there and messing up this simple memorization could toll heavy. Nodding her head, she looked up towards the purple male with a much warmer smile.

"Sorry for the trouble, Shore," she commented, not having intentionally become defensive but being somewhat uncertain. "Thank you."
