Nice Legendary Frog line lol
Cid's part of the culture of Final Fantasy, as is, and these have been pointed out before, I know, I just wanted to post something so I could mention the Legendary Frog thing, airships and Chocobos. I loved how the little underpants gnomes from South Park were almost identical to Cid from FF2...But that really doesn't have anything to do with this. My favourite Cid would have to be Highwind, as he's a badass. Then comes Cid from FFX. Second only to Highwind in attitude. God...There's just so many things that make Final Fantasy awesome.

Best Cid ever was in Tactics...Also..as a note..there is no (Working) Airship in Tactics..just the one you find on missions

I would just like to say that, like Cid, chocobo's and moogles are not in every game. none of the three are in the first final fantasy. There is however an airship in it.

Also: Balamut is in FF1. Not as a summon, but as a job... upgrader. Who is obsessed with rat tails. He appears again as a summon in FF3. In FF3, I hate balamut because he didnt eat Desh. sad You might have already known that, I was pointing it out for the benifit other people.

i like Cid...actually i like seeing what they come up with him each game...i also glad Cid wasn't a bad guy in the every game before ff12...I never thought he would be that hard to beat...then agian i just really suck...

Cid is Cid it is not a final fantasy without a Cid. but if you look at the credits for FF SWI (spirits within) in the credits they show him as SID...sad I tell you...just sad...

Why? Why do you question Cid and not some other inane object that is repeated so far in the FF series? Why don't you question biggs and wedge and why square decided to take minor characters from star wars into their games? There are plenty of repititions throughout the FF series but Cid is deffinately my favorite, one that isn't my favorite however is the repitition of the spells fire, cure, and flare..... because unlike all the other things listed in the posts before mine, those are repeated through every one of the FF games.

In every Series there should be a person, ability, summon, name that should tie all the games together. In this case its Cid, Chocobos, Summons/Espers, Ship names and some attacks and weapons. It is the trademark of the game making it recognizeable.
