Courting? This really was a gentleman she was dealing with!
"No, I'm afraid I'm not being courted, at the moment," she replied quietly, wondering what was on his mind. Perhaps this handsome stallion wished to get to know her better by courting her? Was it possible that someone could actually hold a crush on such an... odd Soquili as herself?
She glanced up and her lavender eyes met with his blue ones.
"Or even," she thought to herself, "He could just be simply striking up a conversation with me and have no intention of courting or anything of the like with me."

He smiled, and his eyes lit up making them liquid blue fire, rather than heavenly midnight.
"Well, ma cherie, I might ask to court you. Though Im afraid of what you might say. I fair mare like yourself should have someone at your beckoned call, and I must admit, Id happily ful-fill the role. If I was to ask you, what would you say?"
He asked, raising an eyebrow and walking closer to her.

"Well," She said calmly, not believing her ears, "If a stallion such as yourself asked to court me, I'd be flattered, of course."
She couldn't help from grinning as he walked closer, his eyebrow raised. Even just that small gesture was beginning to make her heart flutter. Could it be that she was falling in love? Was this what love felt like? Or was it just mutual attraction to one another? Nostalgia didn't know, but she was enjoying the feeling very much.
"And, I would most definitely have to say yes to him." Nos finally replied, her cheeks tinted a soft pink, and she nervously flicked her tail from side to side. "Because I would most definitely want to be courted by such a stallion as yourself."

Jean-Claude smiled, a smile so big, it gleemed. Could it be the mare of his dreams just agreed to court him?
Smiling, he nudged her neck gently, in a gesture of friendship and care. "I am happy to hear it so, ma petite. I am happy to hear it so. And I would love to court you Nostalgia. I never dreamed of being so lucky."
He said, looking into her amethyst colored eyes with his midnight sapphire ones.
"My lovely one, do tell me about your past. No matter how dark it may seem."
He said, recalling his own dark past. Looking at her, he smiled again.

Nostalgia smiled, esctatic. She knew she would never regret her decision... this stallion was a gentleman and a sweetheart.
She appreciated his brief physical affection, though she was rarely touched, it was a newer experience for her. She used the opportunity to get a quick whiff of Jean's scent, which was dark and sensual, making her feel giddy and foalish on the inside.
She stopped, however, when he questioned her past. It was a subject she never looked upon lightly, nor had she really exposed the full truth of to others.
"My... past?" She said quietly, staring into his dark blue eyes. "It's really not all that interesting... "

He felt the anxiety come into play when she looked at him with her soft eyes and spoke of how interesting her past wasnt. He wasnt going to pry, prying never got anyone anywhere. Looking over at her, he gave a soft smile.
"When you feel like talking to me, and I hope one day you do, I will listen to any story you posess."
He said, this time giving her a nuzzle of affection.

She felt as if she was lying to him, keeping silent about it all. But would he understand what she went through? What she did while normal, living Soquilis roamed the earth?
Never one for physical affection, Nostalgia surprised even herself as she lowered her head and tucked it underneath Jean-Claude's. Snuggling closer she hoped her long braids didn't tickle his throat, for she needed the warmth and comfort his strong body was providing.
"I know you will listen," She said softly, her eyes closed, "I just fear I'd push you away with my tales. Perhaps you can tell me your story... and it will give me the courage to tell you mine?"

He was surprised, but extremely happy at teh boldness of the mare he had come to love. Smiling, he looked down at her.
"Oh my darling. My story is dark and dangerous, and for one as you, I do fear of scaring you off. But since you ask.. I will tell you."
His features were neutral, as he was in constant thought of how to put it. Looking back to the mare, even though she was nestled softly under his head, he started:
"My story isnt the most interesting, but it is a story nonetheless. I was once, a dark, evil Stallion. Manipulated and manipulative. Made no difference to me, as long as I ruined someone in the end. I didnt start that way. I was trained and pushed to be teh way I was.. I was under a cruel mare. A most cruel mare, whose attitude, I have not find in any one living thing today.."
He took a deep breath. Should he continue? Surely she wouldnt love him now.. After this story..
"I left France to escape her.. as I grew colder, I grew more sad. I knew it wasnt me.. I may be a monster," He said, running toungue and lip over his sharp canines. "But Im not an evil one."
Which was true. He wasnt evil. He was maniacal, and he never did escape his manipulative genes, but he wasnt truly evil, if evil was the word you would use for it.
(Do you want them to be Life mates? Or one timerS?}

She listened quietly, her head still nestled underneath his jaw. She hoped her glaring horn, which loved to annoy her sometimes with its brightness, wasn't blinding him by accident.
She wondered what this mare was like.. the one Jean had run from. Perhaps she would someday meet this female... and give her a piece of her mind.
"How dreadful, my darling," Nos said softly, her ear twitching involuntarily as it tickled itself against a braid. "You are not a monster, by any means. I don't know how anyone could implant that idea in your head. That she-devil was the monster.... and I've seen the likes of her more times in my life than I'd ever wish to."
((They definitely need to be mates, the chemistry between the two is obvious enough for that xD <3 I'd like for them to RP it out to see if it lasts, though, as far as lifemates go... keep it a mystery for now *PMs you* ))

He chuckled a bit, breaking away from the memory that liked to replay itself in his head. "AH, but ma cherie, I have been called a monster more times that I can count."
He said, nestling against her and closing his eyes.
"And if you've met anyone like her, than I am saddened for it, for it is a sobering experience indeed."
He said, closing his eyes and picturing his new found love in his mind. Her beauty and her glory...
"Might I hear your story?"
(Sounds good to me<33)

"But what would make you a monster?" She asked quietly, enjoying the affection he presented her with.
Straightening herself up, she looked up towards the dark, moonlit horizon as she thought of the words she was going to say. Her horn glowed against the soft moonlight, shining like a star, and her ghostly aura flickered in the night air as her memories began to seep free into her mind.
"My story is not so tragic, I believe... but I find it to be sad and cold at the same time."
She flipped her braids back behind her ear, and continued watching the stars as she continued. "I myself, as I'm certain you now understand, am not of physical form... or at least, not completely. I'm not an angel, I'm not a demon, I'm just... a ghostly helper to the Spirits, you might say. My job, which I have temporarily departed from, was protector and guardian alongside the Spirit of the Past. My duty was to lead Soquilis and creatures who had gone astray and forgotten the true meaning of their lives and their source of happiness. Many who think negatively and believe to have lost all hope tend to forget the wonderful times in their pasts they can continue to cling to and hold on to for hope. As a ghost, I was able to return them back to their memories, and they got to relive them, watching on the sidelines as the memory took place. Some were amusing to see, but most were sad... such happy memories for such cold and heartless beings....."
She shook her own head, clearing her mind as she had begun to trail off in thought. Turning back, her eyes met with Jean's and she gave a weak smile.
"Tell me, Jean... do you have any happy memories in your past?"

He breathed deeply, What made him a monster? Were there words for why he was a monster in most creatures scared eyes?
He would look in their eyes, the small beady eyes most have, and fear resonated off them like mad. Their fear was intoxicating, and he loved to drown in it, though the little thing inside his mind said how bad it truly was.
"That is a story, for another day, ma amore. It is.."
He gave a look of affection to ehr.
"Then were you not, a good spirit? If you helped people find their reason? I believe it to be perfectly wonderful."

Her ears perked up. A "good" spirit? She had never put it in terms between good and bad... she was always just... there, in her mind.
Her chains rattled as she stepped forward and nodded her head approvingly towards his words. This handsome stallion knew how to make her feel better about herself, that was for sure.
She was intrigued to know the story of his "monster-ness", but remained quiet about it. She would indeed ask him one day soon in the future to go into detail about it. But for now, she would leave it alone.
"So... what do you tend to do on lonely romantic nights such as this one, Jean?" She asked coyly, her head tilted at an angle as her cheeks blushed softly.

"You ask as if you feel I had anything to do." He mused, smiling wide, and bringing his velvet nose to her cheek.
"I daresay the view, company, and nights have greatly improved since I met you my lovely Nostalgia."
His said, saying her name as if it was an exotic masterpiece. He gave a gentle nudge to her,and spoke,
"So ma amore' I must ask you the same, non? What do you do on lonely romantic nights? Though I hope they are a little less lonely as of late."

"Lonely? No, not anymore," she replied, sounding very relieved. She was, in fact, very relieved, for she hated being alone. She was so used to it and it made her feel so... unwanted. But Jean-Claude had taken away that saddness the moment he had spoken to her with his deep, sensual accent. She was very very glad she had decided to drop down out of the sky to speak with him.
"My nights... I usually don't do anything, or rather, I didn't, unless I was called upon." She watched a dark cloud begin to float towards the full moon and she wondered what the weather was going to be like for the rest of the evening. "Ghosts mostly do their work during the night hours... that's when our powers gain the most strength. Nothing romantic about reminding a person about their past, I'm afraid.. unless that person had their own romantic past.. but that really had nothing to do with me."
Smiling, she nuzzled him back, happy he was interested in her life as she was of his. "But I believe times are changing for this lonely mare... yes, indeed."
