XD I really liked IV's opening theme too. It's true that the Prince isn't as much as a hero as I wish he'd be though u.u; To me, it just seemed like he was completing his 'duties' as a prince. Like saving his fellow neighbors and such. It's like his obligation, while fighting the bad guys neutral

Exactly. Plus, he looked like such a pansy some times... It's pretty obvious that he was almost coerced into fighting by Lyon, Sialeeds, and everyone else.

Nolette You need to wipe the fangirl foam away razz I do enjoy a good story, however, I find it hard to even get into the story when I can't even find myself attached to the main character. He looked dopey, to be honest neutral and the more I looked at him the more I couldn't go through with the rest of the game. The gameplay itself was pretty painful with it's lousy camera, painfully long loading times (I could read the newspaper between screens) and blurry graphics (and I'm using a high def LCD screen) Somehow even the intro failed to wow me. Every intro up to 3 (even 4) had me feeling 'zomgYES SUIKOSUIKOSUIKO WOOO' but this time it was like '...wut?' I could wipe away the faingirl foam, except that I'm not a girl. And whatever. Miss out on one of the best Suikoden games if you want to.

Anyone agrees that the real ending to suikoden 2 should be the sad ending?
The sad ed is the true ed because when you see the intro, you will see riou with the rune of the beginning.
I just want hero2 to live forever mwahaha

The Rune of Beginning just randomly flies into his face.

I personally loved Suikoden 2. One of my favorite RPGs hands down. So in depth, and the crazy thing is, its so indepth with all 108+ characters!
After playing a bit into S3 I liked it, but I missed the innocent and simple feel I got from the first two, and althought S3 had alot to offer, I just didn't feel like it was the same series, just based in the same world with a new twist on some old characters.
I couldn't stand to look at 4 because I was told there was no castle to build, which, I feel is one of the main stand points behind the series. Someone told me 5 is looking better, but I have also heard its more pretty and lack luster. I don't know, probably pick it up one day.
I will say though, that I picked up Suikoden Tactics the other day... and let me tell you! Snooooooze fest. A train being slowed down by three elephants in its way would go faster then the Tactics storyline.
Another Suikoden game you should have added to the list though is Suiko-gaiden! Freaking awesome game! Wooo!
