Kathlyn smiled softly, "It's hard to say if it's good or bad that you haven't seen it before." She said calmly; knowing that the chance that they would have left the forest untouched, when they were slaughtering and burning down their village for the mear point of destruction, was slim to none.

She smiled, "So they didn't destory it. Maybe my spirit friends are alright after all..." She let out a soft sigh. She was relived. If the forest still stood then that ment that it was possible that her spirit friends had lived on. If that was so; perhaps they knew what happened to her parents; and her brother. "Where was you're childhood forest? Where was it you lived when you were a much younger spirit? Or have you always been a protector and moved from forest to forest?"

Seishou could hear Kathlyn's thoughts racing. She opened her mouth and began past. "I was born into a forest known as the Kawamoku. My life began as a mere sprite with very little power. As a spirit ages, that one becomes more gifted and receives powers that differ from others. My gifts allowed me to become a protector at a younger age than most spirits. After I left the Kawamoku, I was then the protector of forests." Seishou reminisced her old home for a few minutes, closing her eyes to get a visual. She could see the trees that grew high as the clouds, or so it seemed to her young self, and the river shape it made that called forth its name. River Wood, how she missed it.

"So then you're very talented, as spirits go? Right? As a younger spirit did you ever meet people? Or did you only have other sprite friends and forest creatures as your allies?" Kathlyn sat down on the grass; feeling the coolness of the lake and the light breeze through the trees.

Seishou gazed out over the water as a far away expression overcame her face. "You could say I was very gifted. Yes, I did encounter many a child in my younger years as a sprite. They are the reason I distrust many humans. The Kawamoku is located near a very miniscule village. The first time I met a human, they were chopping down my spirit friend's birth tree. She was murdered that day. Once her life force was gone, she could no longer live amongst the world of man and was reincarnated into the earth. Of course there has always been those select few who pose no threat and who actually respect and love the earth, unfortunately, they were not the first I met." Her voice trailed off as if remembering that day. Her eyes shook a little as if they were about to tear up, but stopped shortly.

Kathlyn frowned, "That's a shame...I wish you're first experence of meeting humans would have been better. I may not be human; but I have met many, on both sides of that scale." She sighed and leaned back into the grass, "humans are strange creatures. They fear what they don't understand, and forget the truths they learn as a child." Kathlyn laughed and looked over at her, "Perhaps we should talk about happier times. What was your favorite thing to do when you were younger?"

Seishou's attention snapped back towards Kathlyn. She sighed. "I never really had a favorite thing to do that I can recall. It was such a long time ago. I would like to hear more about your happier times though. I am afraid this conversation has been geared only towards me, which is rather rude of me and I must apologize for that. Please tell me, the Prince whom you seem very connected with, for he runs in your head, who is he and how you came to know him?"

Kathlyn's face burned as she laughed uneasily, "Him? That's...sort of complicated...The thing is that when my village was destroyed I was taken away to this camp...where they liked to experiment on children...when I broke out and ran away from there I ended up at this town called SoraYama." Kathlyn sat up and hugged her knees, resting her head on them. "I was only...13 or so at the time...Anyway I took care of myself pretty well, but one day I got in a fight with a guard outside the castle. My cat had run away into the castle's courtyard and he wouldn't let me go get it."
Kathlyn laughed remembering the scene she must have made, "Long story short there; I beat the guard up really well, and got sent to the King for it. The King and Queen asked to speak to my parents; and I told then why they couldn't. The Queen was very nice...so she and the King said they'd care for me and that I could work in the castle, because their son needed a friend. THAT'S when I first met Reitan...He looked really sad when i first met him...sad and lonely and in pain. I felt sorry for him, always have." She shrugged, "He gets anything he wants, so he's spoiled, stubborn, self centered, arrogant, and plenty of other awful things...but all I saw then was this sad lonely boy."
Kathlyn could feel her face heating up as she talked about him, and knew she was blushing so she let some of her hair fall over her face. "Anyway I wouldn't say we exactly hit it off right away. He blew me off totally at first; wouldn't even acknowledge that I spoke to him. So the King and Queen put us in some of his tutoring classes together. I have trained hard my whole life, and I'm a very talented fighter, and until me, I dont' think he'd ever fought someone who didn't hold back because he was a prince. So we spared against each other, and I beat him. After that I couldn't get rid of him. He always wanted to fight me. To beat me in battle because I was the only one to ever beat him. The only one to really try to..."

Seishou smiled and thought carefully for a moment. "I see. Sora Yama? Prince Reitan." Seishou noticed the times that Kathlyn had blushed and was quite interested but did not know whether or not to pursue the subject. "Is that the entire story?" A glint in her eyes tried to give Kathlyn a clue to her alternate motives.

Kathlyn laughed and blushed again; remembering the dance...the way he'd looked and acted...the way he'd smile at her and no one else...She felt her face getting reder and reder. sweatdrop Finally she replied with a laugh, "Our story is a ongoing one. There's always more to it...But that would be how it is i came to KNOW Prince Reitan as I do...which is the question you asked. So to that point; yes that's the whole story. Basically we grew up together in our early teens"

Seishou nodded, laughing with Kathlyn. "Yes you are right. That was what I asked. Why is it you chose Tenshi as your next home? There are so many schools and so many different places to choose from."

Kathlyn considered this, and replied "It's kinda hard to explain. I'm looking for my younger brother, so I go to lots of different schools. I've gone to schools from all over. I guess I picked Tenshi because it wasn't to far from the places I grew up; so I thought maybe I'd find a lead on my brother here." Kathlyn laughed, "That and the King of SoraYama suggested I go here. He even paid my tuition to come. The King has been very good to me...He even helped me find my parents...or at least their graves. I'm forever in his debt for everything he's done for me"

"This King sounds as if he is quite worthy of respect from the earth. I do wonder though, does he maybe envision you as a child of his? I will do anything I can to help find your brother if you desire it so. I understand what it is like to be ripped a part from something you treasure more than anything." Seishou looked to Kathlyn for her reply.

Kathlyn smiled, "The King is a wonderful person. It does seem like he treats me as he would his own daughter. It seems foolish to me; he already has two daughters; and one son. He and the Queen were always so very kind to me though...they always treated me like one of their own."
Then she sighed, "it'd be nice if you helped me look for my brother; but I'm not sure what you can do...He's been MIA since the attack...and that was 7 years ago. No ones seen or heard about him..."
