Damage! Tomashi's eyes widened when he saw his strikes successfully hit Raven's chest. His attempts at dodging were of no avail. When Raven stumbled back, Tomashi stood his ground. He could feel his heart beating a thousand times a minute. "Is this the sensation of battle?! It's great!" The sensation was rushing to his head. His blood was boiling. So much so, it felt as if he were on fire. He lost all sense of the cold air around him. Tomashi's lack of experience and knowledge of battle was his greatest weakness. He suffered greatly from the 'Fighter's Frenzy'. It was evident on his facial expression, one of which was the look of insanity. His eyes were wide and he bared his teeth while staring at Raven. "This is great, Raven."

---------------------- "Ugh!" Raven said as the thrust from the wooden training sword pushed him back through the snow. He was pushed about three feet back but still maintained his balance. The attack had caught him by surprise. Hawthorne locked eyes with his opponent and stretched his neck. He needed to focus. The fact that he had gotten hit was all because of his lack of focus. Raven quickly closed his eyes and opened them. His purple eyes glared at Tomashi. No more playing around.
"One for One," Raven said darkly. The shinigami-in-training then dashed as fast as he could directly at his target. At the last second Raven dropped down on his left knee and attempted to hit his opponent's upper legs with a hard, two handed, left to right horizontal slash.--------------------

Still semi-focused and excited, Tomashi locked eyes with Raven as he began his attack. Tomashi timed his reaction, then, when Raven slashed towards his legs, Tomashi bent his knees before pushing off the roof and pulling his legs in to avoid the slash at his legs. If he were to dodge successfully, there would be an opening in Raven's defense for him to bring down the wooden sword of might!

"HA! Got'cha!" His eyes filled with excitement and the sensation of battle, Tomashi brought down the wooden blade towards Raven's cranium with so much force it would probably leave a nice bruise to remember. However, just as he was about to strike, the sound of a ringing bell stoped him. The wooden blade a few inches short of it's target. "Oh crap! That's the academy bell!" Looking down at Raven, he offered a hand to help him up to his feet. "We're gonna be late if we don't hurry!" Dropping the wooden sword to the ground, he motioned to the door leading inside the building. "Let's get goin'." He soon disappeared down the stairs and waited for Raven at the bottom.

Raven heard the bell as well and shook his head. Damn, already?! Raven ran around and smothered the four fires with piles of snow and locked his roof, dragging the six wooden training swords down the stairs. He frowned and straightened up his uniform and made sure the black sheathe of his zanpkatou was nice and shiny. It was his first day after all. All this prepared and settled, Raven put out the fireplace with a bucket of ice cold water. With his house clean and fire free, Raven was able to leave without worry.
He saw Tomashi waiting for him outside and scratched the back of his head, smiling slightly, "Sorry, cleanliness is next to godliness, right?" Raven turned around and locked his door. "All right, let's get the hell outa here and into class before we get in more trouble!"
With that, the pair left the house behind, sprinting all the way to the Shinigami Academy.[18 And exit to the Academy]
