Chaser stood as she shook her mane as she stepped beside him as she smiled"I would love to accompony you"She swished her tail which was now dry just like the rest of her.She could feel the once over wealming sugar die down she gave a quick cough as she looked at him
She gave a quich giggle as she looked at him"No we just played tag!Maybe a calm walk then a foot race?"She watched him as she gazed into his orange eyes.
Chaser noticed his eyes were orange along with the scare.She gave a smile looking at it...it really made his face look so...so....so cute.She smiled at him as she flicked her tail
Her blue wyw looked towards the water.She had once been told her eyes were like a river in such a clear beauty was what the stallion sai.She shook her head she drifted off.
She shook her mane again as her flower fell slightly she watched it carefully as it slid a bit more just below the tip of her ear she looked back at Daray and bumped him playfully"Well?"

"I must look like an idiot, with all the grinning I've been doing" Daray thought to himself, and he laughed again when Chaser bumped him.
"Alright then," he said, "Off to the river then!"
He started a slow walk towards the running water maybe a half a mile away from where they currently were, and turned to his mare companion.
"Why were you named Rainbow Chaser?" He asked bluntly, wanting to start a conversation, but didn't find it impolite to pry, like his new roommate would.

Chaser looked at him and gave him a huge smile"An Idiot?My Daray your just the opposite!"She gave him a wink as they walked together.
She looked at him as he asked her why was she named Rainbow Chaser?She though for a minute then smiled yet again at him"I look like an idiot"
She gave a soft giggle as she got back to answering his question"Well my mother named me my name because when I was little I used to love after it rained and the rainbow came out"She gave a small laugh
Her blues eyes watched as they approched the water after her sip she continued"Then when me and my father were playing...I had no name yet by the way...she saw how fast i could run...like you just did!Thus my name!"She gave a small giggle as she loooked at him
Now it was her turn to ask him a question but what?She laughed"So why where you named DA-RAY?"she sai his name like that to be funny

He loved the way she giggled. It was cute.
He leaned down and lapped on the icy water as she continued her story of her name's creation. From the way she was telling the story, it would appear that Chaser had led a very happy family life. Pangs of jealousy ripped through him, but he shook it off and ignored them.
"My name?" he pondered, after she asked his name's origin. "Well, I was given my name...because of how I was born. You see, I was born into a family of Soquili who looked rather, well, plain, and no one expected me to... come out looking the way I did."
He sighed and lifted his head up, his thirst quenched. "I had been born under what the two-leggers would call an 'eclipsed moon'. It's an event where the shadows consume the moon and for a few moments to a few minutes, there is nothing but total darkness. Well, on the eve of my birth, there just so happened to be one of those eclipses, and, being born with my odd markings no one else in the family possessed, it was assumed that I had been brought to this earth for some... unhappy reason, and thus, the reason of the eclipse. Like a curse from the Spirits. So my mother could think of only one name to give me... Daray... which means 'dark'. "
He gave her a weak smile and then trotted up to her and readjusted her flower in her hair gently with his teeth.
"There... all better." He smiled, looking back at her. "We wouldn't want you losing your flower, now, would we?"

Chaser smiled at him his story was so different it made her smile so much.An eclips moon?How many soquili were born like that?She gazed into his orange eyes and gave him a warm smile she even felt like what her human did to her parents a 'hug' as she called it but yet no arms
Chaser fetl his breaths as he fixed her flower she blushed a bit no one ever did that not even Micah she smiled at him even more"Your story it's so different...it makes me smile"She looked at him and gave a small giggle
The feeling of being shunned must have hurt so badly at least he had gotten away for if he hadn't she wouldn't have met him which would be sad she flicked her tail as she watched him
Unlike herself he had wonderful markings which she adored like most of him.She gazed into his eyes and smiled"Just because you were born under an eclips does not mean you have a curse Daray it just means that unlike others...you have a hidden power that no one else can posses"her eyes looked at her hooves as she shuffled them as she gave a small giggle"You know Daray being normal color IS boring!I am glad I have at least some purple and pink"She raised a hoof"See I am nopt all that normal either"

He chuckled.
"No, Chase sweetie, you definitely do not fall under the 'normal' catagory. You are far too happy and cute to be normal." he reassured her, hoping she'd see it as a compliment and not as an insult.
Her words made him feel better, and he was glad he wasn't so gloomy as he had been before she had arrived.
"So..." he said, giving her a grin and a wink, "What are we going to do now?"

Chaser blushed a bit more but thankfully it wasn't bad enough to see she at him her eyes sparkled he was such a kind soquili she shuffled her pink hooves as she flicked her flower in place
Chaser thought what were they going to do?Well she was always been in the forrest so hm what could they do..her ear twitched as she thought of something"You ever gone to the un traveled land?My indian says it's dangerous"She gave a sly smile
She shuffled he called her chase which made her happy he was the only one who didn't call her chaser her eyes met his as she smiled braodly"Well you want to go?"She hoped he would cause she had always wanted to!
Chaser flipped her mane as she watched Daray...she wondered what to calll him...oh maybe ray now...Dar!Thats what she wished to call him dar"I am not afraid to fo Dar I mean I will have you with me"

"The Untraveled Land"?
Daray was more than curious, and his mischeivious side always overpowered his logical side. "Of course I want to go!" He said cheerfully, pawing at the ground anxiously. "I wonder what's out there?"
He was pleasantly surprised when she began calling him Dar... it was a name only Mauli, his ferret companion back at the teepee, had ever called him, and it was pleasant to the ears to hear. It also made him feel much bolder and stronger to hear her comment on how she'd have no fear with him by her side.
"You've got no worries, Chase. I'll be there by your side no matter what."
He grinned and his orange eyes sparkled. "So now... where is this place?"

Chaser bumped him and smiled broadly"I know,I trust you Dar"She swished her tail and flicked her ear as he was excited to go along with her she gave a sly smile again and took a step
This is where Chaser's true talent kicked in her navigation for the woods.She knew her way around well just not around the untraveled lands her sly smile grew bigger as she looked at him
Her blue eyes looked deeply into his orange eyes as she began the directions"We have to heaqd south...then when we reach the heart of the forrest we go north east."She continued her instructions turn right at the vally rocks and so on the sun fell on her coat so it gleamed
Her eyes looked towards the forrest as she giggled slightly she was having fun!She had never had THIS much fun with anyone she turned to him and smiled yet again.She liked smiling around him it made her so happy to see his face"If your lost I can lead the way Dar"she took another step towards the forrest and smiled"ready?"

"Yes... I think it's best that you lead us... my navigational skills aren't exactly the best." Daray remarked, a tad bit embarrassed that he failed at doing something.
He trotted up to where he was standing beside her and gave her another smile. Never had he ever known a happier Soquili. Did anything ever make her gloomy?
"So... why is this land called the untraveled land? I would have thought some indians and Soquili would have explored all of the uncharted areas by now."

Chaser smiled as she nodded as she looked towards the south it was endless forest which she loved her eyes wandered around feelinga a tad tired she looked back at him
"The story is one has traveled in so far but yet has seemed never to come out again...I have tried many times to get someone to go with me but no one would"Thats when dissapointment reached her she gave a small sigh of un happiness as her blue eyes scaned the horizon.
SHe took a couple steps forward mumbiling the directions to herself again as she looked back at Daray with a small smile"And were off"She turned back as she swished her tail as her flower fell a bit as she flicked her ear to fix it but only made it worse she slowly began to walk away

"... and never came out again?"
Daray let out a gulp as he heard her explain the brief story. "What am I getting myself into?" he thought to himself. Sure, he considered himself brave.... but geez, the only person that ever went into this place never returned!
Before he could think about it any further, Chaser took off, swishing her tail and juggling the flower on her hair, and he started after her. Of course, if she was going to go, he'd go. He didn't want to look like a sissy after all. Besides, he had seen the dissapointment in her eyes when she spoke of having no one else go in with her to this... uncharted land... and he wasn't about to let his new buddy down. No sirreee, he was going to go and that was final!
"Hey! Wait up!" he called, trotting after her. "Want me to help fix that flower for you?"

Chaser stopped until her reached her with a small shuffle of her hooves they were off again she looked at him when he asked and gave a small giggle as she flicked her tail"No thats ok Dar...as long as it's in then I am fine"she looked at him seeing he was scared in his eyes so she shuffled her pink hooves again as they walked
CHaser looked at him with a small smile and laughed"If you don't want to go Dar we don't have to!I don't want to pressure you just because I have been dissapointed before"To tell the truth she was also a tiny bit scared herself but she always seemed to shake it off. Her eyes looekd at the dark forest as she took a step closer she turned back towards Daray
Never would she make someone do something just because she had been dissapointed before it was like love just because the person you like dosen't like you back should you just give up on love forever?No that was stupid her eyes flickered with the suns rays

He stopped when he saw her gazing at what seemed to be nothing. She was obviously deep in thought, and her eyes showed nothing but sorrow. Had he done something to upset her and hadn't realized it?
Using his muzzle, he gently laid it over her neck and nuzzled, his version of giving her a hug.
"It's alright, Chase." He said quietly.
Pulling back up, he gave her a warm smile and nodded his head. "I want to go, I do. I admit, I'm a bit nervous, but I think that's natural... being nervous to go into a place you've never been before. Like how I was nervous when I first met you."
Grinning, he laughed. "I thought you hated me, the first time we met. I guess I was a bit paranoid, eh?"

Chaser gave him a 'hug' as well as she gave a slight laugh as he was also scared"Me to I am also nervous we can be nervous together!"SHe gave a laugh as she poked his flank she ruffeled her mane as she watched the sky.
When she heard he was nervous about meeting her she gave a small gasp"Hate you?Now now I could never EVER to that Dar!i mean your to kind!And not to mention sweet thoughtful and cute as well"She gave a chuckle as she motioned the should start going..well should he tell him what she thought when they first met
"Hey dar want to know something funny when wwe first met I thought you were going to eat me!"She gave a huge laugh at her self as she looke at him with her crystal blue eyes"But then when I got to know you I noticed I was parinoied...so compared to you I take the icing off the cake!"She shuffled her hooves as she giggled
