Miles cringed as the footsteps grew closer, then winced as he was grabbed around the waist. "Okay, Matthew...you found me...let go."
"Maria, I foun' 'im! I foun' 'im!" The little boy cried, tightening his hold so the older fox couldn't get away.
"Okay, a little help wouldn't hurt." Miles said, looking at the new people with a expression that said "Are you gonna help or laugh?"

Lillian laughed softly, tugging on the small child's shoulder a bit " its perfectly possible to do both, you know...alright little vun, ve are pretty busy here. Perhaps you can go play somevere else for a bit? Hmm?"

Matthew looked from Miles to Lillian, then grinned. "Naaah, Professor Miles doesn't mind us being here!" He said happily, and Miles gave a moan of disagreeance.
"Well, well, well. You all seem to be having fun." A coyote said, walking over to them. "Miles, do you need help escaping the Tribble?"
"He's no Tribble! He's far too ACTIVE to be a Tribble!" Miles sputtered, pulling away finally. "Perhaps you can keep Maria and Matthew occupied with your tricks while I continue integrating our new people into our society?"
"Oh, Matthew. Come on, he's right." A pretty young blonde girl dressed in a long blue button-down dress as she walked over and lifted up the young boy. "So sorry to displease you, Professor Miles. And give my Grandfather my best, he's seemed a little ill lately." She then turned and walked away, talking to him in a gentle tone.
Miles nodded. "I will. You kids go and run along now." He replied, then faced the coyote. "And you were of no help at all, Raymond!"
"Of course not. It's far more amusing to see you suffer due to the little children." He grinned. "Why would I stop them?"

Lillian bowed politely to the coyote in greeting, lookng back to miles "well, you vere right about zem, although not both of them. It seems that little girl is keeping ze other one out of trouble rather than helping him with it."

"Gerald must've told her about the new project..." He muttered, then continued on. "Let's continue. I'll show you some of our past projects and current ones."

Lillian nodded, looking around at all the sealed labs and scientists "new project?" she asked, very curious. She could've sworn a blue liquid in a vat in one of the labs they walked by moved a bit, but she was probly just tired.

He nodded, then turned to them all as they neared a large double-doored room. "Inside here, we are working on our latest invention. The Twin Project. Part of Project Emerald, these two boys will be the counterparts of the other. One of them is just about done."
He smiled and pushed open the doors, letting them in as he walked over to a blue figure on a work-table. "His name is Sonic the Hedgehog. And he is our greatest creation yet." He walked over to some blueprints. "Partnered up with his sibling, he is the Ultimate Lifeform. The Twin Project." He looked at the sleeping child. "Gerald and I both made him, but I alone will be making his counterpart." He said nothing, but expression said "I can't wait."

Lillian blinked, seeming rather impressed "So he...he's some kind of super-warrior? Zis is incredible, I have no idea zis was possible vith our currect technology...building entire lifeforms from scratch...."
((All I can say is thats one heck of a plot twist zone ^^ then again it never explained sonic's origins in any of the games and such...))

((No, it did not. So, I love to experiment with it. There are some mistakes made, though. Such as, in the comics, it showed his parents. But, not in this Dimension.
Then again, near the end of this, it explains. Yes, sadly, there is a planned ending, and let's hope she's not on the A.R.K. for it.))
He sighed and nodded. "To be honest, we had our doubts, Gerald and I. But, after many long, tedious nights and days, we finally finished little Sonic here. We'll wake him after we've touched him up a bit more. Give him more speed and the like."
He smiled softly. "He'll be a perfect little child, but he'll be able to age, as will his couterpart." He sighed. "Not sure about how mature he'll be, but that'll depend on the people in his life."
He walked past the sleeping boy to a moniter. "...I hope that dreadful war down below doesn't reach here...that he'll never have to see battle..."

((All of us whos played SA2 or shadow the hedgehog know what that ending is probly going to be like x.x))
Lillian looked him over, nodding "So he's not a warrior..vat a relief. It'd be a bit creepy having zome kind ov super-warrior on ze station..." if only she knew about the more secret projects.
Then she realized something, looking around "is there some reason you've seperated me from the tour group, sir? It seems ze rest were not allowed admittance to zis lab...did...did my father have a hand in zese projects?"

((Yep. Hopefully she'll be where Miles will be. Which be revealed later on.))
He nodded. "Actually, I was only a boy when this happened, but it was Roberto von Kurich, your father, who discovered that Chaos Energy could reside in living beings. I'm assuming you're familier with what Chaos Energy is?" He asked, turning to her now.
((Ooooo. Stuff about her dad that's all shiny. Project Emerald will be explained as it goes on. I expect this game will go on a while.
Oh, yes. When Sonic finally wakes up, he will be played by Vurare, who I trust will set up a profile for him. If not, I'll make one.))

((Yes, much yay-ness.))
He smiled. "Strange. I would've expected him to tell you." Then he turned to the sleeping Hedgehog. "Project Emerald is a project to create four children, all with Chaos Energy, and have them summon up the Chaos Emeralds, which I discovered are buried deep within the large lake near the Great Forest. We're still coming up with a name for it."
He walked over and pulled out a diagram with 7 jewels on them. "These are the Chaos Emeralds. Fallen from space, they are hidden within the lake, and only someone with a strong amount of Chaos Energy can summon them out again."
He walked over to a moniter and typed a few things, then stepped back. "I'm not sure exactly, but I'm pretty sure that the children in Project Emerald will be affected by these small jewels." He showed her a simulation of four figures glowing brightly on contact with all seven emeralds.
He then walked back over to her and said. "I'm hoping you can help me complete Project Emerald." He held out a hand. "Do you think you can handle it?"

Lillian seemed a bit hesitant, could she really do this? Could she really continue an amazing project she knew so little about that her father had started?
She shook tails' hand, smirking "Its a deal, I will help."

He smiled and nodded, closing his eyes for a bit. "Thank you, Ms. Kurich. I'm sure that, with your help, we will be able to get farther in the project then ever before!" He gave a cheerful smile, then turned to Sonic. "We only need to do a few more adjustments, then he'll be able to be awoken. I can't wait."
((I sure hope she's not gaining any...feelings for him. Have you taken a look at the story this is based off of?))
