Yes Miko did follow him, "I saw him awile ago. He was in the student.. student lounge. But i think he is somewhere else now."

It was a cold dead winter among the evershifting bluffs. Since his disapearance, Kai has made his living in the harsh enviorments of the Eversong. The dark clouds blanked out the sun. Leaving a trail of foot prints, and kicking up snow was not normally in his nature. Normally he was careful about his tracks, but that didn't matter at the moment. His persuer was under the earth's surface. In his arms, Kai cradled a collection of fruit he found earlier in the day when it was spring. But like the creatures here, the weather was always unpredictable.

Kai exhaled his cloudy breath, as it breazed behind him, along with the bitter snow flakes that pelted his face. He sped up and positioned his foot along the fallen tree in his path, then sprung upward. Strands of hair swayed with the motion of his jump, and fell forward with his landing. Of course as he hit, his knee dragged in snow from inbalance. If his arms where clear, he may have easily continued forward after the landing impact, but with the inbalanced landing, some of his meal rolled off of his pile into the snow. Kai didn't waist any time to pick it up. His eyes widened in fear as the ground infront of him exploded with dirt, rocks, and snow flakes that sprinkled down among the stones. The large eyed insect, known as an ankheg, roared and swiped at Kai with a bladed arm, jamming it into Kai's left shoulder. Kai let out a painful yell, as he was swipped agains't the tree. Fruit scattering everywhere, making his fall into an unpleasent landing. In the panic, he reached for the sword on his back, and swiped it at the ankheg's temple. The giant insect's head drew to the ground, as blood erupted from just above its eye brow. Kai drew his blade over his head and lunged forward. But the attack lacked power as he landed, causing yet another dent in the insects tough shell. It imedaitly twirled its head back into position of the warrior, and launched a projectile blast of poison. Kai imediatly rose the snow around him, allowing the acidic breath to sizzle through the snow, then aimed his sword. This time with more concentration and time to think. He jumped out of the wall of snow and thrusted his blade into a weak point along the neck. The ankheg hissed and cracked in pain as it began going through violent throws, deepening the sword wound. Until finally, it dropped down on the ground with a loud thud, causing the snow beneath it to raise up like the ocean waves.

Kai breathed heavily out of exaustion, as the snow began melting, and the flakes turned to rain. He grumbled as he sat himself down and reached into the rapidly melting snow, for an apple. After taking a crunching bite from the apple, he looked up to the sun, barly showing through the semi transperant sky. "Looks like summer..." He muttered with his mouth full.

(Now that was a kick but re-introduction to a character.)
