...:: The Finding ::...
Kyrianna
"Coailiann Grace..." Ianna's warning tone echoed through the shop as she spotted her sidhe daughter climbing up a ladder in an attempt to get one of the artifacts at the top of one of the shelves. It wouldn't have normally been a problem but that ladder had a wobble.

The sidhe shot her mother a dirty look before climbing down, artifact in hand. Apparently, her mother had decided that she was getting into too much trouble. She didn't know why...All she had done was accidently lock herself in Matilda's pocket realm for a good hour.

"Home."

Another dirty look was given and the sidhe slid through the portal, leaving Ianna to sit alone doing inventory. Perhaps she'd get lucky and one of the last remaining wands would find a home.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Alana hissed through her teeth, storming down the sidewalk. Stupid, stupid children! Stupid, stupid teenagers! The elf tossed back her long black hair, hauling her shopping bags behind her. How DARE her little girl jump out the third floor window? "I just wanna make a crack like Croooout" Alana snarled, mockingly.

The little preteen certainly HAD made a crack. And then gotten up off the ground and glared at the offending bench that had broken under the impact.

And that had been Alana's cue to go shopping. When all else failed, buy clothes. She sighed, eyes drifting over the shops, when one caught her eye. What was this shop? She turned, intending to walk away, but found that her feet weren't really listening to her. Damn.

Opening the door, hauling the bags behind her, she peeked into the shop. "Hello?" her husky voice was hesitant, floating into the shop. She blinked her tri-colored eyes, making sure the glamour was still there. What was this place? "Is anyone here?" How often was any shop left abandoned? Really. Pfff.
Kyrianna
Ianna raised a brow at the voice and coughed, "Of course I'm here," she said, somewhat irritably. Coailiann had been getting on her nerves as of late, and she didn't appriciate her...distantness. Or resentment. Ah well, it was part of childhood she supposed.

"Welcome to Ghosts of the Past, may I he---"

A soft ping in the back of her head and Ianna started. Matilda had returned from wherever she was? Lovely. More wand missions soon, she guessed.

"lp you?"
InfinitiesOfSoules
Alana smiled airily at the shop person. Lovely, someone to talk to! "Ghosts of the Past?" she asked curiously, looking about. "Is this supposed to be an antiques store?" She liked antiques. But there didn't SEEM to be any antiques. Or ghosts for that matter.

She approached the woman, hands drifting over the boxes on the wall. They felt old to her, many older than herself. So old at times they felt alive to her. Ew. She wiped her hands on her black pants, wiping off the cobwebby feeling she always got whenever she let her shields down too far. "My name is Alana."

She felt rather absurd. What was she doing here anyways. There wasn't anything particularly pretty here for her to purchase. Nothing flashy, or glittery. And she so loved her flashies. "What do you sell?"
Kyrianna
"Mmm? Sell? This and that and the other...Matilda," she quietly murmured, "I'm not stupid. I've been doing this for a while. Lemm...N....Bu....Grah! Fine!"

She hissed softly and looked rather annoyed, seemingly talking to no one at all. Perhaps she was crazy? No. The silver haired woman looked perfectly sane save the wild and crazy hair that refused to be brushed and stuck out at all odd places.

"It seems my daughter wishes to skip formalities. Touch the book, it should explain some things. You're a mother, in any case, of a ghostling. Go ahead, touch the book."

Alana couldn't claim the child without first the book recognizing her, unfortunately. Of course if she told people that they'd never touch the book...

was a miracle considering her accident prone self.

The minute Alana touched the book the cover flew open, an invisible wind winding through the pages and blowing them rapidly open until it landed, quite suddenly, on a well-worn page. On the page was a very life-like sketch of the wand on her desk. Under the picture read:

"Turkey. Wand ID 00030. A Soul has been trapped within the confines of the wand. Congratulations, you have become the next guardian to take on the task of raising it from infancy to greatness. We, Ianna and I, have the upmost faith in you to complete your task dutifully. Best of luck,

Matilda."

"Mmm, by the looks of it I'd say it was some Harem girl or something. Veil, the country...The jewels. However, I'm not quite sure and neither is Matilda."
InfinitiesOfSoules
Alana had reached out, touched the book. Glancing down at the page, the purple-eyed female raised a dark eyebrow.

"Turkey. Wand ID 00030. A Soul has been trapped within the confines of the wand. Congratulations, you have become the next guardian to take on the task of raising it from infancy to greatness. We, Ianna and I, have the upmost faith in you to complete your task dutifully. Best of luck,

Matilda
."

Alana pursed her lips, eyeing the image of the wand. "I see." she muttered. Great. Another one. Grrrrrr. But more importantly... "So, ummm... What the hell is going on here? I touch a book. Whoo, wind, and now I am being told I am the guardian of a soul? A harem girl?"

Harem girls were, well, girly, weren't they? She didn't know how to raise a girl. Hell, the girliest child she had was a male! Her girls were more manly than one or two of her ex boyfriends!
Kyrianna
"The book is infused with my daughter's soul. My daughter's soul is given to spring these children back into life. They've lived before, died horribly, and are now given a second chance. They're magical children and they cannot come back into existance without someone to care for them. This soul chose you. Of course, the reason behind it is unknown. All I know is the soul chooses the guardian."

The woman shrugged her shoulders, "Touch the wand, go ahead."

If she did, there would be a small flash of light and a warm pulsating feeling for a split moment, like that of a beating heart, before it faded away once more and the wand was back to normal.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Alana was a sucker for a sob story. Trapped souls definitely counted as a sob story. The elven woman reached out with one slender hand, and wrapped her long fingers around the cool wood. As she touched it, she would have sworn the felt the wand pulse, felt something, but it faded almost as soon as it started. Maybe she was crazy.

Okay, chances were she was crazy.

"Okay... So... what do I do now? Shouldnt, you know... a baby or teen or something come out?" Alana's glamoured eyes glanced over at Ianna. "That was kind of anticlimactic."
Kyrianna
Fighting the urge to roll her eyes, Ianna shook her head, "No, the wand was just acknowledging you. There will be two more stages after the wand before the child emerges completely. A wisp and a baby ghost. These are the most fragile times for the child so make sure you don't let them get sucked up by something..."

She paused a moment, "It's time to show you the headquarters. Follow me."

The woman stood from her seat and moved to the door to the right of the desk. When opened, it looked completely dark as if it lead to nowhere. She stepped through, obviously expecting the woman to follow.

As they entered the main lobby Via the portal connecting the shoppe and the headquarters, the first thing noticable was the vast...largeness...of it. The high ceilings, edged with gold, the large chandeliers dripping with crystals, the smooth white tile-floors, colorful rugs, and beautiful paintings.

To the left was a large recreational area complete with a large flat-screen television, several rows of various games, movies, video game systems and books. There was a basket of toys in the corner, full of plushies, dolls, cards and various other objects which would appeal to most ages. Included in the area were several comfy looking couches and plush chairs just made for sitting, lounging or bouncing in. It seemed to be heaven on a fluffy carpet. It even had a foos-ball table and an air-hockey table....and for the slightly more food-minded GoTP, a mini fridge always full.

To the right was a large elaborate counter, which seemed to have a force-field of some sort around it, keeping anyone who was not Ianna or Matilda from going behind it. On the counter lay a roster with the names of all the Ghostly children and their guardians, and an appointment book.

From there, it branched off into halls with rows and rows of rooms. Some were storage, some were guest rooms, some were bathrooms, and one very large and ornate door to the end of the hall led to the gardens.

"Well. It's not too much, but it's home. You're welcome here any time. The children need to interact, after all."
InfinitiesOfSoules
Alana wrinkled her nose. This would be trouble. She wasn't exactly motherly. "Is it machine washable?" she asked curiously. She didn't exactly have the best track record with keeping completely dependent things alive, and nonliving things unbroken.

She eyed the headquarters, admiring it. It was really quite elegant. Well then, okay... I take care of a stick, and it grows into a baby, and then it'll grow up if I am a good mommy and live. I think I can manage that. The elf smoothed her skirt and looked the area over, trying to become familiar with it. After all, if she was a "guardian", then she would be spending quite a bit of time here.

...:: Alana reflects ::...

How was I to feel about this? I wondered as I walked back towards my home, hauling my bags, and a wand held in my pocket. What was I supposed to do now? I had 7 children already though, what was one more?

But I was 'chosen', huh? 'Chosen'. That word carried a lot of weight to me. Hell, I had gone through over 300 years of being different, and this child would be human. In a lifetime that potentially spanned thousands of years, what was another couple decades of being a parent?

But at the same time, I was frightened. This spirit, this item, had suffered through a horrible past life, and now... was I to be responsible for making sure this life didn't have a horrible life (and death) again? I was still a child, was I ready for real responsibility? My others had come to my life in lieu of getting a dog, or a cat.

This one had such blind faith in me, it had called to me. Could I take the chance of letting it down again?

Did I have a choice?

Reluctantly, I opened the door. "Honeys, I'm home. Family meeting in the kitchen!"

...:: Researching the Stick-thing ::...

((It was mentioned the growth could be combined with the research post, so... I did that. Please let me know if that was changed. Thanks.))

Alana frowned, flipping through the pages of the book, absently petting the wand on her lap. "So you are a harem girl, huh?" she said, pondering. "It is horribly hard to find anything on the harem in my books." Humming, she set the book back on her table and moved for another one.

After days of research, all she'd really learned about the harem was that they were essentially enslaved concubines. While the life was opulent, the job was hard. They were supposed to please their lord not only with their looks, but by being intelligent, talented in dance and art, and great in bed.

The Seraglio (the name for the royal harem) was a large labyrinth of 400 rooms, corridors, and quarters, all strewn into a confusing maze and locked by the other courts of the palace. It was divided into three parts: the actual harem, where the hundreds of concubines, acemis, odalisques, and other women roamed; the black eunuchs' barracks, where the guards of the harem lived daily; and the sultan's private rooms, where he visited his women and entertained them often. The harem was a variety of different rooms. Sleeping quarters, large bathhouses (hamam), pools, spacious gardens, fountains, endless corridors, and apartments for the important women, and countless spaces for the acemis to be learned, all furnished in extraordinary and intricate art forms (tiling, paintings, calligraphy, and countless masterpieces). The rooms in the harem were furnished twice a year. Once in the winter, when the sofas and beds were covered in dark velvets and blankets were spread, and in the summer, when the velvets were replaced with linens and rich colored curtains were hung to lighten the enclosed lives of the women.

However, life in the harem appeared to be dangerous. Everyone wanted to be the one in the king's bed. If they could get pregnant, if they could bear their master an heir, there was a chance at being with time the most powerful woman in the harem, and in the country. The Valideh Sultana, mother of the king.

As such there were assassinations, poisonings, and other things designed to get their competition out of the way. Some women just vanished, and yet others were set up by the competition to be executed by the king for transgressions they may not have actually committed.

The women of the harem passed their days simply, and in a routine. As acemis, they rose early to begin work with their mistresses, and normally worked all day, being fed at midday, before entertaining themselves with their cliques and friends at night, after a sumptuous dinner. After graduating their school, the girls were free. They rose in the morning and spent their days in pleasure. Whether soaking and swimming in the baths while conversing with their friends, walking in the gardens and having picnics, or entertaining themselves with music and other idle luxuries, the women lived an easy life. They had few responsibilities, most of them falling to acemis or personal servants. The women were treated to special occasions often. Exclusively, there were garden parties on the harem gardens and parks for the kadins, the sultanas, and the children. They were entertained and they feasted, but the ordinary harem girls were forbidden from these small celebrations, under threats of death. Normal harem girls rarely saw celebrations, but there were some occasions, such as when the sultan would review his harem girls. Every girl would be presented individually, and then the harem would feast and be entertained on the private balconies of the sultan's rooms.

Sighing, Alana closed her book and patted the wand on her lap. "So you were a spoiled rotten mistress." she commented. The wand in her lap almost for a moment seemed to pulse. What?

When it stilled again, the elf sighed, rubbing her temples. “Alright then. Let’s get one thing clear. I’ll not have any daughter of mine being a sex slave. Clothes and makeup and stuff, I can deal with. But you will have pride in yourself, and not just because you’re good in bed, you hear? I fully expect intelligence and charm, and you’ll get a good job. Maybe a banker. Or a world-famous romance novelist. Something that requires more brain than body.”

The wand seemed to pulse again, and this time Alana stared down at it as her hand suddenly felt like it was catching on fire, and she could SWEAR she heard bells. BELLS, from a STICK. Err, WAND. Was it glowing? Aww, hell, she didn’t remember being warned about this!

As she watched, the glow sort of… congealed. Was this it? Was this… was it growing up, finally?

It had been hard enough to take care of her living children. Now she had to take care of a "child" with no physical body? Alana stared down at the stick of wood in her hands, debating what to do next with it. There was a loud scream, and Alana flinched as a wave of water slammed into her. "CANNONBALL!" Nakshidil screeched, as Kael disappeared under the water. Well, it couldn't be THAT bad, really. It would just be very hard for her to hold a wand in a bikini.

Carefully, she set the wand on one of the poolside tables. Surely that wouldn't be considered abandonment. After all, she was right here. But the wood looked expensive, plus she didn't want to risk anything happening to it while she was swimming. At least OUT of the water, it would be less likely to get wet, or stepped on, or snapped.

Laertes smiled at his mother, eyes twinkling. "You don't need to worry quite so much about it, Allie. Children, and sticks, are resilient. And with over 200 living beings waiting for it to grow up, it'll be just fine. Now, come enjoy yourself. The water is great!" To demonstrate, he splashed her with a wave of water stirred up by his arm.

The elfin woman stared down in consternation at the dripping wand before setting it down carefully and flinging herself towards her son. "I'll show you great, brat!"

Stage Two: Baby Ghost
Your GOTP must be a Baby Ghost for at least 2 weeks real life time. In order for it to move to Baby, you must do the following:

- 1 journal entry (Dear Diary)
- 1 Open Or closed Session RP
- Obtain 1 toy representing their past life. (Made up, bought from a mini shop, or drawn yourself, it doesn't matter)

-Create a room or space specifically preparing for the child's arrival. This can be combined with your 700 word growth post.
- 1 700 word minimum post in journal about your baby ghost moving to the next stage

...:: Dear Diary ::...

... I don't think I'll make a very good mom. I've never had a real -baby- before, you see. All of my children have come to me already grown. Already able to tell me what they need. What am I supposed to do when they can't? I know my children will help me out. Nakshidil is a mother at heart, and will relish having someone depending on her.

But I'm not. How did someone who hates children, really, someone who isn't motherly at all, end up being the one chosen to be a mother? I'm not the kind of person who can be patient. I don't mind providing for those who already have full posession of all of their faculties, but a -baby-... I'll have to teach them. Then again, this is a reincarnated baby. What kind of person will this little girl be?

Will she even be a little girl? It's a -stick-. A stick can't tell gender. Okay, admittedly, now it is a stick with a baby ghost attatched. That doesn't help.

I'm confused, diary. And I know it's going to turn into a real baby soon, so I'm worried. Can't anyone help?

...:: A first RP (PRP) ::...

draconianraven
...how the hell had she managed to get lost on the way home of all places?! Raven knew that she'd done some strange things in her time, but getting lost on the way home? Never. Never ever ever. Which made today something of a bad day, given that she was now very, very-- well, no. Not very very. Mildly. Mildly lost in the woods.

At least it was still sunset. There was still some light to see by. Yui was beginning to perk up, in any case, which meant that night was fast falling. And Raven still only had the slightest idea of which way the house was. Oh boy.

"Hello?" Raven called out, hoping she might get a friendly answer. "Anyone out there?"

InfinitiesOfSoules
Alana sighed, tromping through the woods. She'd let her daughter Naira take her little ghosty-wand thing- whose name the family was still arguing over- off to show her woodland friends. The stick seemed to like her (as Naira was one of the few people the wand hadn't tried to set on fire yet), so there wasn't a problem with it. Naira had come home chattering gaily about her visit with her woodland friends.

Alana listened patiently. "So, where is the stick?"

"Allie, it isn't a stick. It's a baby to be." the angel chided.

"That's fine. Where is it?"

The angel rolled her eyes and went to where the wand had been securely fastened. Eyes widened, and color drained out of her face. "In the woods...."

So here it was, that poor Alana was trudging through the woods, when she heard a voice calling. "Yeah, I'm here!" she called back, following the voice to Raven. "Hey!" she smiled. "This is a surprise!"

draconianraven
A friendly face! Someone she knew! "God, am I glad to see you," Raven grinned. "I seem to've gotten myself lost. How've you been-- and what are you doing in the woods at this hour?" It was a (most definitely pleasant) surprise to find Alana in the woods, as Raven had rather pessimistically expected someone a bit more vicious and plotting something akin to destruction and death rather than a friend.

Then again, Raven had always been a touch paranoid. It's what had kept her alive so long.

InfinitiesOfSoules
She was incredulous for a moment. "You got... lost?" she giggled, looking at Raven with undisguised mirth in her eyes. "How did you do that? Well, if you knew you wouldn't be here, would you? I've been well. Naira lost my little wand-thing in the woods." she rolled her eyes. "How have you been?" She saw something fluttering under a bush and went over to lift it up.

Aha! The dastardly devil was here! It was fortuitous raven had gotten lost when she did then. As she picked it up, her hand burst into flames. A growl, and she managed to get it out.

The ghost wavered tauntingly. Little laughing brat! She could almost hear it laughing. Or maybe she was just going insane.
draconianraven
Raven couldn't help but chuckle slightly after the initial panic of seeing her friend's hand catch on fire passed. "Well. Looks like you've got a little ghost now too, attached to your wand, hm? Rambunctious little thing, isn't it?"

Yui peeked out of the purse, cocking her tiny head to the side, focusing on the big blue thing. Something new! Something different!
InfinitiesOfSoules
Ghost flitted around the wand. New person?! Oh. He remembered this one. Raven, yes? It's attention flickered. Oh, a small thing, floating in Raven's... what was the word...

"Yeap. This is my little, ummm... well, according to Ianna it's a harem girl. According to Crout, it's a male, or he'll eat his hat. Not that he owns one, but you know him. He's a strange one." she rolled her eyes. "It likes to set stuff on fire." she scowled.
draconianraven
"Ah, yes. I noticed that," Raven bit her lip to keep from chuckling more. "Mine's a vampire-- sweet little thing, really. As of yet," Raven rolled her eyes. "Who knows what she'll be like when she gets older though-- you never know with kids."

Yui nudged her way out of the purse and flitted towards the blue thing, picking her way slowly there.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Allie grinned. "She'll suck more money than blood, but you'll love her anyways." she sounded almost rueful. "That's the curse of the mother, no matter if she's your blood, or not."

Kamil was still, watching the wisp advance. His ghostly head tilted. What was this?
draconianraven
"Somehow, that seems sadly true," Raven laughed, thinking of her other children. Especially Renjyo. Renjyo loved her pretties. "I adore my kids though, all..." Damn, how many of them were there now? The three girls from the mansion, the two boys, the three JRock children, the wand, the relic, and Jett, and the bird. "...the bunch of them."

Silly blue thing. Yui poked at the blue thing, wondering what it was up to.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Alana nodded. "Unfortunate attatchment." she scowled at the wand as it went floating across the clearing. "And where do you think you are going, my little pyro?"

The wand spit out a little burst of flame in annoyance, speeding further away from its mother and twirling around Yui.
draconianraven
"Ah, but necessary attachment. Otherwise our young wouldn't have any way to survive," Raven laughed quietly.

Loving the attention, Yui tried her best to keep her gaze on Kamil, letting out little sounds of amusement. This blue thing was funny. Interesting. Yui liked it.

"Yui, be careful--" Raven tried, rolling her eyes slightly. She hadn't realized Yui'd wandered away from her wand. "You're still tiny, little girl."
InfinitiesOfSoules
Alana made a face. "Most of my chidren are resourceful little brats." she raised an eyebrow as the wisp made little noises. "So, would you like to come back to my place for something to drink? Laertes should be off work soon, I'll have him drive you home after he gets back." the woman smiled, and reached out, trying to grab the ghost.
draconianraven
"That would be wonderful," Raven smiled, gently pulling Yui back to her wand. "Though I wouldn't want to impose, Allie... on you or Laertes. After all, it's not like I can't find my way home... eventually...

Back to the wand? But strange blue! Blue thing was being silly!

InfinitiesOfSoules
Alana smiled. "Nonsense. You're never an imposition Raven. You're a part of the family." she poked at the baby ghost. "Come on baby. You've been lost a little too long." The baby ghost obeyed, drifting around the wand and making it's own little noises to the pink thing. It looked so... pink.... The next noise sounded like a raspberry.

Alana smiled. "Come on then." she winked at Raven. "Nakshidil's been cooking like crazy... She's been real worried about this brat. We won't be able to eat it all alone."
draconianraven
...'part of the family'. Raven liked that-- especially given that her only 'family' for the longest time had been her two sisters. Perhaps that's why she overcompensated with children-- ah well. That was a thought for another day, wasn't it? "Thank you then. And I'm sure that Nakkie's cooking will be delicious. When the seasoning is care and worry, it tends to add a flavor or three."

Blowing a rasberry back at the blue thing, Yui swirled around her wand, toying with the golden Buddha statue.
InfinitiesOfSoules
Alana led the way back to the house. The little wand was waved triumphantly as they exited the woods, tromping across the yard and into the house. There was a cocophany of sound and scent, and Nakshidil dashed into the room, weaving in surprise at seeing Raven. "Heya." she said politely. She checked the wand over for scratched and fled back to the kitchen. "Food is in the formal dining room! I made it a buffet!" she carried a stack of plates into the dining room.

"Did you want to call any of the others over?" Alana invited, with a grin. She peeked into the formal dining room, eyes dropping. Tons of food. "We definitely won't be able to eat it all."

The baby ghost made another noise, almost agreeing.
draconianraven
...wow. Waving to Nakkie, and considering helping her with the dishes, Raven smiled slightly to herself, "Actually, maybe I should get Nasir to drive the kids over. It's easier than having them scrounge up dinner on their own. If you'll excuse me for a moment..."

Cell phone. Cell phone-- there it was. Home. "Hello? Hera, can you and the others come over to Alana's for dinner tonight? I got a little tied up on the way home-- yes, that does involve talking to Nasir. Go on. I love you all," Raven rolled her eyes slightly as she hung up. If only they would all pretend to get along...

Considering the huge big everything, Yui gurgled and tried to direct Raven to the dining room. She wanted to see what else was here!
InfinitiesOfSoules
Alana was also calling all of her kids. The food on the table, with a cursory eye, included Lasagnae, Enchiladas, Strawberry crepes, crab, Turkey, ham, barbeque ribs. Mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, green beans. Three different kinds of plain pastas, alfredo sauce, three cheese tomato cheese sauce, meat sauce, macaroni and cheese. "Nakkie? You are insane." she informed her daughter.

The baby ghost cooed, wand fluttering around the table. All the smellies, all the looks! How wonderful! When this happened, there was almost always time by the fire, with stories! The baby ghost liked stories.
draconianraven
Yui cooed a suspciously musical sounding note as she drifted over towards the blue thing. Pretties... there were pretties... Yui could smell different scents, vaguely... flavor.....

"...my, you've certainly been busy, Nakkie," Raven smiled slightly, glancing at the food. "Thank you for preparing such a lavish meal for us."

He still didn't see why Mekt didn't just get his liscence so that the pale boy could be the one having to play chauffeur. Oh well. Whatever. At least he'd get to see Kamil...
InfinitiesOfSoules
The ghost moved closer to the pink wisp, making a noise, curious. He flared, smoked, then went out with a disgruntled noise. Well, there went his display!

Nakshidil smiled. "Well, I enjoy it. And I'm good at it." There wasn't any modesty in her tone, nor pride. She was too frazzled. "Crout said he'd pick up Kael from the garage, and Laertes is gonna stop by the store and get some drinks. Kamil got into the cokes." she pointed at a black-haired adult sitting in the window.

The baby ghost and the adult didn't get along too well. They were eerily alike. As the dancer stood up, the baby ghost spazzed, spinning around Yui. "Is Nasir coming?" he asked gently, almost eagerly.

Alana hid a smile. "I think he has a crush." she informed Raven in a low voice.
draconianraven
Making a suspicious noise which could possibly have been a laugh, Yui spun to keep her gaze on the blue thing while it spun around her. Strange little thing-- big thing, but little thing all the same.

"You certainly are," Raven mused, considering the food. "And yes, Kamil, he is. He's bringing the others over right now, as a matter of fact. He should be here soon."

A crush? That was interesting. Not entirely unexpected either... truth be told. Nasir was the kind of person who would attract a great many-- hopefully he wouldn't break too many hearts...

InfinitiesOfSoules
Kamil felt his stomach clench at the thought of the dark-haired man. "Oh. Well. I'm glad to know he will be." he tried to play it off nonchalantly, slipping out of the room.

The baby ghost spazzed, shooting a little blast of fire after the adult as he left. At Yui's noise, the ghost made one of its own, spinning faster. The silly pink-thing trying to keep up?
draconianraven
Raven shook her head as Kamil left. "I just hope Nasir takes him seriously," she murmured under her breath to Alana.

Trying to follow the blue thing was getting tiring! But Yui had to keep trying. Had to had to had to~!

Alana smiled. "I don't know. Kamil's still pretty young to this world, you know. He's still a child in a lot of ways. I think it's Nasir who would need to worry, if anything happened. He's infatuated now, but you know how people are. Fickle. Especially when they are as... new... as Kamil is. I'm just glad he didn't get involved with someone who wouldn't take things slow. If Nasir is playing with Kamil, at least he didn't jump on him. I'm sure Kamil's made plenty of innocent invitations." she shrugged.

The ghost was getting tired as well. It made a strange noise of exhaustion, but it couldn't give in first! No! Must... keep.... spinning...

"Nasir's the type to be careful only because he knows you and I are friends. It complicates things in his game plan. Normally... well, he's had a string of one night stands he thinks I don't know about," Raven sighed. She still didn't know what she was going to do with that boy. "But in truth, I think he might actually like Kamil-- since he's getting to know him."

Spin... spin... sp... in...... Yui whined and slowed to a stop-- too tired...

InfinitiesOfSoules
The baby ghost made a noise of victory. It had won, the pink blob had lost! He floated over to her, getting closer, almost touching...

Alana smiled. "Well, then good. It's always more fun when it's complicated." she sounded almost gleeful, and lifted a plate, passing it to Raven. "Shall we go ahead and start eating?"
draconianraven
Yui poked the blue thing and scooted back to Raven as fast as she could. Not fair~~~!!!!

"Of course, it is. And sure. Why not?" Raven smiled, taking the proffered plate gratefully.

There was the house. And at least the brats were behaving themselves right now...

InfinitiesOfSoules
The ghost made a protest, following Yui. He floated around raven, making odd noises.

Alana smiled, following raven down the line of food, piling it onto her plate.

Kamil glanced down at his black jeans and white tank top, wondering if he looked too casual. Then he slipped downstairs nervously, running slender fingers through wavy hair.

Yui made a noise suspiciously like a rasberry at the blue thing, hissing as she clung to her wand protectively.

Food. So very much food. So very, very much food. Raven didn't... good god. Lots of food.

Pulling up to the house, Nasir parked and got out, letting the kids tumble out before locking the van, moving to the house to knock on the door.

The baby ghost made a sniffing noise and floated away, no longer interested. It heard more peoples! Oh oh oh more big things! More brothers and sisters and playthings of interest!

More plates were set out by a frazzle Nakshidil, who then disappeared into the kitchen, leaving Kamil to answer the door and let the newcomers in. "Heya!" he greeted cheerfully.
draconianraven
Yui leaned up against her wand, calming down again. She needed it right now...

Smiling slightly, Nasir led his 'siblings' in. "Kamil, what a pleasure to see you again," he laughed quietly.

InfinitiesOfSoules
Alana sighed, glancing over the food. "You lot, don't flirt! get in here and feed empty bellies!" she called. Kamil, who had been about to say something, grinned at Nasir.

"You heard her." he said with a grin, waving cheerfully to Nasir's other siblings.
draconianraven
Nasir simply laughed and moved inside towards Alana and the food. Perhaps she was right. There would be time for flirting later. For now, there was this... massive banquet... that needed to be taken care of.
InfinitiesOfSoules
All were finally fed and watered. Alana assisted Nakkie with the dished, leaving the wand to Kamil's tender care. The two of them got along eerily well. Kamil was playing with the baby ghost near the fireplace in the main room, with all the other siblings scattered.

Now that her children were here, Raven thanked Alana and headed home-- they wouldn't get lost with all of them together. At least, that was the plan.

...:: A toy for the baby ::...

Alana eyed the small toy standing there on the dresser. It was a doll, designed like a harem girl, with removeable veil and jingly things large enough for a baby not to be able to choke on, much less fit in. She raised a brow, meeting the sheepish emerald gaze of her sister. "Jada'Mirei, did you forget this is going to be a baby?"

"Five and up, yeah yeah." the elven woman waved a hand. "But at lest she can't smother in the veils. Or choke on the jinglies, AND they double for rattles."

"How did you convince me to do this?" she pondered into the air. "I mean, really."

"You're gullible." her sister said, and pressed a quick kiss to the tip of her ear. "And besides, she'll be something lovely for the baby to look at and admire. So anyways, do you know anything about, you know, harem girls?"

"... What do you really need to know? They led normal lives... just away from men, and sharing their lover with dozens of other women."

"... You know, I think your little girl is going to be a very angry little girl."

"I'm not so sure she'll be a girl. I mean, we have to keep an open mind, right? And look at it... it's blue!"

"Girls can be blue." Jada'Mirei sounded almost offended.

"..... whatever." Alana muttered, and lay the wand on the dresser. "Night, brat." she murmured, and vanished out the door, down the hall. The baby ghost curled up around the harem doll, seeming to watch it silently.

...:: Growth post to baby ::...

The time had come. Alana was finally getting off of her bottom, and was coming up with a room for the baby ghost. After all, it had been a while… and it was getting to that age. “Pretty soon you’re gonna grow up.” she singsong to the baby ghost. “So we need to have you a room. What do you have in mind?” Together with the floating wand, she wandered up and down the halls of the home. Until finally, the small object came to a halt at the door across from hers, that had recently been vacated when her youngest son, Kael, had decided to convert the garage into a bedroom for himself.

The wand floated into the room, circling. She followed, her eyes drifting over the walls. At this point they were dark grey, dingy with dirt. The carpet was a deep violet, and the furniture was dinged with small notches. And here Kael had promised to clean it up. “Well, does the architecture please you at least?” she griped. There was a soft noise of denial, and the wand drifted out the door. “Okaaaay.” she said, rolling her eyes, and followed. It buzzed down the hall, almost humming. Until it finally came to a halt in front of another door, and Alana knew as if by instinct that that room would be the one the baby ghost would choose to claim as its own.

The Aquarium.

The room that the wand had chosen boasted an aquarium built into the walls. That aquarium circled all four walls, unbroken except for the doorway they stood in, the entrance to the bathroom, and one window, but even then the doorways and that window were just an arch in the aquarium. There was no seam, it was just a wall of flawless glass. Three of the walls were painted a rich blue, to enhance the color of the water, and the room was in a corner of the house, so the wall by the outside was carefully paneled glass, to let in plenty of natural light. The air was almost salty, and a little on the warm side, however it was possible to open some of the skylights in the ceiling to let in cool, fresh air. In the tanks swam colorful creatures of many shapes and sizes. Plants grew on the bottom of the tank. The entire room was it's own aquatic ecosystem, and in the center of the room was a queen-sized four-poster bed, complete with drapes that could be closed for privacy.

The bed would certainly have to be changed out, and she was honestly very worried about the glass on the walls- though a call to her sister would have the glass magically reinforced. She eyed the room carefully. The bathroom was a wall of glass as well… so much glass. But the wand always had loved this room. This was the one room she was guaranteed not to not be woken in if one of her kids slept there. The room had always been a place of comfort for their guests, and for her children if they had a nightmare. The lights inside the aquarium provided a nightlight, and if nothing else, some of the fish in the tank provided light as well.

She chewed on ideas. The baby would need several things… a changing table, a crib, a dresser for clothes. A toychest… She sighed, shook her head. Alright, alright, fine. “Okay, so do you have any furniture ideas?” she teased the baby ghost. There was a little noise from the baby ghost and it floated out of the room leaving her alone to decide how to decorate the space.

Over the period of the next few weeks, she gathered up furniture. A small rocking crib for the baby, a rocking chair set next to it. Both were in mahogany, and there was a blue silk canopy over the rocker. She purchased a little swing, and tons of bottles and nipples. The pantry was stocked with baby milk, and the upstairs with diapers. Cute little outfits for both boys and girls, and rattles. The toychest she purchased was dark oak, and she stocked it with all sorts of toys.

She’d never had an actual… baby before. It was worrisome. Little fingers, electric outlets? First words, wailing teeth, stinky diapers? Well, every eventuality was stocked for, including and not limited to a baby monitor in every room of the house.

And one day it happened. That the baby ghost started making noises that sounded like… wailing? Its body seemed to form, to solidify. Slowly, ever so slowly, the baby ghost started taking shape, as the room was pieced together, and the family was as affectionate as, well…

As it could be.
