Umo could barley believe his eyes. Four cubs. Two girls two boys. He shook his head, pulling his brown son closer to his chest. His own mind was filled wiht worry. Had he punished his family with his actions? Would he regret this forever? he saw Mku's look and grew a bit angry. Did that genet blame him? Did Umo blame himself? Umo's eyes grew dull for a moment as his thoughts clouded his mind, picking himself up and beside his mate. He wanted to tell her to take it easy... but his mouth was full of his son. His eyes grew very dull. Was he the one who was going be the end of his family? He blinked slowly, looking to Ripuka; who carried the other son. Umo grew sad. He could never forgive himself for this.
..Ever...
He followed Kika though his mind was not where it should be.
Ripuka looked to his father and muffled a greeting, not putting the cubblet down. They had to get them out of here.
Umo's body and mind grew heavy. What would Kika do? It was his fault he did not leave... He had seen the brown boy be born and was instantly entranced. Umo was ashamed. He lowered his head, following his mate. He was greatly burdened now.

Kikawaida was exhausted by the time they had stumbled over the swamps borders. She knew where she was going. Once upon a time she had left the swamps and rested in the little copse not so far away on ehr way out in to the world. Lifting ehr exhausted head she lollopped towards the small dark island of trees, the savannahs dry grounds beneath er toes now instead ofcomforting silty mud.
Still, at least her cubs would be safe, the tiny baby in ehr jaws knocked against ehr chest as she padded along and she shook her head to keep awake. She was tired, they must be exhausted, the poor little mites hadn't even had a chance to drink their fill yet. Not too much furtehr now, not too much further.
Mkugenzi frowned unhappily as he padded along beside his son his head held as high as possible his tail waving like a flag above his back. He had never seen the khaki lioness be so worried. He preyed she would be alright she looked like she would collapse at any moment. What had happened that braught about such an upheaval? The cubs were here but that was a blessing right?

Umo walked behind his mate, his crimson eyes on her and the Genets as they carried their cubs. The small boy in his mouth... he carried him carefully. He was small... he couldn't believe that they were so small. He has never seen cubs so small. He loved them already. He simply followed his mate, until the reached what he thought looked peaceful. He held the cub lightly too his chest.
Ripuka walked beside his father, his head held high as well as he carried the dark female cub in his jaws. It was sort of uncomfortable, but he would do this for Umo and Kikawaida. He mumbled something before waddling a bit faster.

The newest cub held her little legs close to her as her little muscles could manage as she was carried in her mother's gentle teeth. She wasn't sure what was going on, but even though she was only a few minutes old she knew that something wasn't right.
Being the last born of the little cubs and the situation being dire, the kahiki cub was the only one that had not gotten even a taste of her mother's milk. Now as they made their way through the swamp her little stomach was quite unhappy about this fact. The little growls her stomach made were echoed by tiny pitiful mews.

Kikawaida stumbled in to the small copse quietly, she knew where she was going she had rested here before. There was a large tree in the middle of the copse, it's roots slightly lifted fromt he ground by some storm or other provided the perfect shelter fromt he elements. Slipping in to the slight recess between the roots she finally placed the youngest of her daughters against her furry stomach and let out a soft, tired sigh. "Oh Umo.." she whispered touching the little cub until she was close enough to feed. She smiled almosty serenely at her mate. she was exhausted her eyes already drooping. She would worry more later. For now her cubs needed food and she needed rest.
Mkugenzi waddled up tot he lioness and placed the little cub carefully beside it's sister. "Wat's goin' on then?" he looked to Umo with a raised brow, his golden eyes curious as to what ahd caused such an upheaval, and one which ahd caused them to flee the swamps too.

Umo kept his eyes down as he walked, his thoughts caught in a spider web of fear. Some father he was... he had caused his family to leave. And after he had asked Ari to let him become one with Kika... one with the swamp lands. This made him blink his crimson eyes hard... he had left his king, just when the queen had died... only to be kicked from the land he wanted to live in. He shook his head, looking up to see Kika laying with the small cub female. He padded forewad, placing the small brown boy he carried in his mouth beside Kika's belly. He lay next too her, his body wrapping around her. He did not speak... but he could not even think of something to say.
...What had he done?...
Ripuka waddled quickly up too the mistress of his friend and placed the dark cub next too the other three. He panted, waddling over too the two lions and his father. He nodded his head. 'Wha's da big move fer?'

The odd sensation of being carried combined with the hungry belly that had not had nothing fill it, the cub cried and squeeked in the mouth of something big. The trek was not long, but it felt like an unimaginable time wasted too the cub, who's only thought was heat and food. Soon, he was plopped down beside something warm, and he nuzzled in quickly, still making little chirps in his frustration. Soon he found what he sought and he began to nurish himself, rather quickly and hastefully. His little paws kneaded quickly and he was frantic, making little slurping noises.
... Marsh child the darkness will rise from the deep... ...and carry you down into sleep....
The cubs pink eyes opened momentarily, looking up too the large bodied thing. Mother. He shut his eyes and slept.

After some ways and some bouncing and knocking against something, the dark cub was placed down once again and could fell shallow breathing at her side. She opened her eyes and looked around, another lay beside her, and two others were not far from where she lay. She gave a small yawn, her eyes flickering open and closed. She was tired, even though she had yet to do anything in this world. She missed the warmth she had felt earlier, and curled against the body that lie to her side.
The cub was more tired than she was hungry, and lay there quietly. She could hear the noises of atleast one hungry cub but she cared little. The bouncing trip that she was brought on was enough to cause her sleepiness to ressurect itself. She sensed little except that of sleep and the warmth of several bodies around her. Curling into the warmest and largest, she shut her eyes tightly.

At first the youngest little cub didn't understand why she was being pushed around by her mother's nose. At the feel of her mother's warm stomach and a waiting teet she didn't need any prodding to acknowledge that it was finally time for her to fill her tiny tummy. She knew that the other small bodies beside her were her siblings though she didn't give them much thought as she nurished herself.
After a short amount of time her vigorous suckling took on a less urgent speed until she was full. After such turmoil it didn't take long for exhaustion to take over. She cirled in her warm spot between her mother and siblings and slept.
