I have one, it's like a rough draft and I'll come back to edit it sometime. I have more stuff on Eureka 7 but i'll add on to Evangelion when I remember things.
EVANGELION
EVA starts out with a fourteen year old boy named Shingi Ikari who knows nothing of the world. He was left by his father at a young age and now his dad calls for him after all these years. His father works for the military, NERV, and needs shingi to fight the angels. Shingi must pilot Eva unti 1, it only wants him and won't take another pilot.
Eva's look like gaint huminoid robots on the outside put their more human like under all the armor that was placed to "protect the pilots" when it was really there to hold the demon down inside the EVA's.
They also fight creatures they call angels. Shingi thinks their monsters till he finds that his friend Koruo that he loved was one. This changes his whole veiw on it.
EUREKA 7
EUREKA starts out with Renton Thurston. He is a fourteen year old boy who lives in a dead end town. His father left or died when renton was a yound boy. All he had was his sister and grandpa till his sister left to and gave him a compac drive that shined the name Eureka. One day as Renton is fighting with grandpa a strange LFO lands on his home. It is piloted by the strange girl named Eureka. The LFO is none other then Nirvash type ZERO and it needs a partner to pilot it with Eureka. Nirvash chooses Renton to pilot it with Eureka.
The LFO's name is Nirvash. It has two seats and needs two people to pilot it. One human and One coralian. Nirvash chooses Renton and Eureka as it's pilots and won't axcept anyone else. Why there is armor on an LFO is not really explained. It could be to portect it but it might also be to hide what's inside.
SPOILER
Renton incounters creatures called coralians on his journy. At first he see's them as monsters, strange things, and killers. Then he finds out that the one he loves, Eureka, is a coralian in human form. This shows Renton that not everything is what it seems and to not judge the world or the creatures on it by their looks.

I noticed the similarities in the characters right away.that's why I like it so much cause this is my time filler till they make new eva merchandise.I heart the movies for eva but it makes no sense.I'm not supprised the mechs look the same(there all ment to be shaped like humams).

I'll admit there are similarities. *spoiler*Like both mech's becoming godlike at the end of the show.*End Spoiler* And Anemone really does feel alot like a neurotic Asuka for some reason. Asuka is cooler that Anemone though.
Renton is way cooler than Shinji though. I mean for real if there was a differance it would be the main character. While events unfold simular it is the main characters way of responding that seems to be the true differance between the two.
Oh and the flying part. NO flying in Evangelion. A whole lot of jumping and shotting guns, but no flying.

Tolly I'll admit there are similarities. *spoiler* Like both mech's becoming godlike at the end of the show.*End Spoiler* And Anemone really does feel alot like a neurotic Asuka for some reason. Asuka is cooler that Anemone though. Renton is way cooler than Shinji though. I mean for real if there was a differance it would be the main character. He just sits there and screams!*End spoiler* Some on needs to walked up to Shingi and give him a good slap, like talho does with Renton.

Only problem with that is he would probably just break down and cry if it happened. course... Shinji did kiss Asuka. But then, Renton wouldn't have let her hold his nose when it happened. rofl
