The dog whined, then gasped as the pup's front two legs finally emerged.

(Okay. Guess we'll continue tomorrow.)
Gihen sighed with relief as it seemed to be going smoothly.
"Calm down girl, calm down. We're almost done."
He rewrapped his hands around the pup and slowly began to pull on it once again.
'These people are amazing for being able to do this with their dogs. The dog is even more amazing for being able to handle this.' he thought.

The puppy slowly emerged from the b***h and Bikou ran back, towels in hand, ready to give the puppy a good rubbin'. He also cut its umbilical cord.
It was the last puppy and Bikou gave the kid a critical look, before nodding. "Kid, I like you. So I guess I will help you."

Gihen wiped his forhead, cleaning off any sweat.
He took in his praise and smiled.
"Thank you. I'm just glad that not only the puppy made it, but so did this one."
He gently caressed the bitsh's head.
"Is there something else you want me to do?"

The b***h whined as she took care of her puppies and Bikou grinned.
"Not anything important, no... come on, let's go somewhere else," he said, leading Gihen into the living room. "Just a question. Do you have any experience with animals? Like, had any pets and stuff?"

Gihen smiled as he watched the b***h. He loved animals.
He stood up and followed Bikou into the living room.
Gihen ondered the question for a moment before answering.
"No, never. The only pet I've known are puppets. You see, I'm from the underground clan, Souran. We specialize in puppets, and nothing else."
He slowly pulled out the small puppet he always had with him.
"I even built this myself. Still, no. I do love animals though. Don't get me wrong, but I've never had a pet exactly."

"Interesting," Bikou said. "Interesting... but you do seem to have a way with animals so why the hell not?" He faced Gihen and asked yet another question.
"Are you interested in having your own puppy? We don't have any Inuzukas here who need a puppy so you could have one, if you like. It would speed up the bonding process. But if you feel you can't handle one you can always practice on one of the dogs here."

Gihen nodded. It was strnge how he could get along with animals.
Suddenly, he sat up straight, a shine in his eyes.
"Yes! Really I am! If I start from a puppy up, it's easy to get along, and understand it, right? I may not be able to speak to it well, but I'll train until I can."
He nodded very quickly and waited for a reply.

Bikou grinned. "That is true." He paused. "The puppies are in the kitchen.." he said. "As you know. But personalities don't really emerge until later, so why don't you come back in let's say, a week or so? Then I can aquaint you with your puppy and you can learn about handling animals. But of course you know that the puppy will stay with us until it's eight weeks old; until after it's been weaned off its mother's milk."

Gihen nodded and looked over his shoulder.
He could hear the faint cries of the puppies in it.
"A week? Okay, I'll be able to wait till' then. Until then, I'll try to read up on the subject and work on my speaking skills."
He stood up and extended his hand.
"Thanks a lot. This means the world to me."

Bikou took the hand and shook it, smiling.
"Don't mention it, kid. It's always nice to help people. So, come back in a week and hopefully I will have something up for you. The puppies will get stronger, too, and you can pick one."

Gihen nodded and smiled cheerfully.
"You can expect me back here not one day late then."
He turned around and exited the house, heading to the gates.
"Yes! They'll train me! I can't believe it!"
He opened the gate and stepped out into the street, running his fingers through his hair.
"Plus, it won't feel so lonely out there anymore."

(Let's just say 3 weeks later...XD)
Gihen yawned and stretched his arms.
He'd stayed up with his older sisters friends again, using his childish looks to make them love him.
He blushed lighly and scratched his cheek.
"I've gotta learn not to do that again. My sister neartly slapped me..."
He sighed and stopped at the gates of the compound.
"Hello! Bikou, it's me, I'm back!"
He knocked on the door and waited for a reply.

Bikou stuck his head out of the compound.
"You huh?" he asked. "Well you are kinda 2 weeks late... but the puppies are still here. We've kinda named them already though," he said and let him in. "This way," he said gesturing for Gihen to follow him as he walked to the dojo area.

Gihen rubbed the back of his head and nodded.
"Summimasen, I was busy training for the past while and I guess I forgot."
He slowly followed Bikou to the Dojo area and could hear barking and yelping all around him.
He was slowly getting used to it though.
He's have to deal with it when he finally gets his dog.
