Roleplay with William
Yume laid flat on her bed. Her eyes were closed as she had fallen asleep reading over her last letter from William. It had been so long since their date and the last time she had seen him that she felt unsure if he even wanted to be around her anymore.
A small mouse crept around on her bed and worked its way up to the letter. Sitting on her hand, it started to nibble on the paper letter. The sudden felling of something on her woke Yume from her sleep as she blinked to find her mouse eating the letter. "Hey! Stop that Squeeky!" She blinking sitting up and looking at the mouse head for the door and back to her brother. Shaking her head, she sat up. "Maybe?maybe I should."
Standing up from her bed, she looked into the mirror and fixed her hair into only one ponytail in back of her head. Fixing her skirt, she headed out her room and out the door. She didn''t even bother stopping to tell Sirene where she was going as she was more following her feet than anything else.
Her feet took her up to the elevator and she found herself soon on the top floor knocking on the door. "Please be home?" she sigh, her tail lip behind her.
Quiet, the whole of the top floor was pitch quiet. If you were un-lucky enough to be up there then quite easily a pin could have dropped, and sounded like a heard of elephants. One sound tip toed after another as the neko rattled on the door, yet, whoever was inside wasn''t answering at a very fast rate.
Inside William laid back on the sofa, a toddler settled on his stomach. She was curled up, long black tail swaying too and fro over the side of the lads t-shirt. A teenager, nothing more, yet the music around didn''t blare. Almost lost in thought, William''s lily white fingers brushed through his sisters hair, calming the little one down as she slept within his lap.
There was neither sight nor sound of the polar bear anywhere, a pile of pizza trays stacked up on top of the sideboard. "Hm?" William whispered as the light rattle woke him up from his stunned silence. Cera opened one large eye, stirring from where she was, small arms stretching out in front of her little body.
Wings stretched out, the male plucking up his little sister. Taking two strides over towards the door, and opened it. He was certainly a sight to see, almost older looking, large wings falling down by his sides. The first few pieces of his blue hair fanned his ears and the side of his face in two long but thin braids. In little more than a t-shirt that seemed, well, for once rather small and a pair of trousers that were falling off. Basically slobbing gear.
Too long had passed and she was raising her hand to knock again when the door flew open. Blinking in surprise seeing as it was William answering and now the normal Mr. Owyln, she could only take that by his look, something was up. "William?" She asked, her voice slightly shaking as she looked him over. She hoped he knew who she was and didn''t just shut the door in her face.
Her ears were laying flat against her head. She didn''t really know what was going on at the moment. Here was her best friend looking at her as if he had just been asleep. The extra baggy pants and the shirt took her by surprise as well.
"Um?is this a bad time? Maybe?maybe I should come back some other time?" She whispered slightly seeing Cera had a sleepy look in her eyes. Still, the smell of pizza hit her nose quickly as she stood there. With Sirene, they didn''t have much of it but this smell was heavy and she wondered why it was so strong now.
"Just wanted to come up and see you again. It''s been so long?" She once again felt out of place. Time had come between them and she had been doing other things so she knew it was in place somewhat her fault but now, she didn''t feel sure about even seeing him.
"Yume?..." William questioned, he hadn''t even realized it was her until he noted the tone in his voice. He quite quickly perked up, slowly putting Cera down onto the floor. The neko wasn''t tremendously happy with the situation, sitting there where she was placed, thumb in her mouth.
"Its you, its really you!" For once in his life William''s tone sounded almost ecstatic, and he quite literally plucked the girl off her feet. He didn''t care if time had come between them, his arms quickly finding hers, plucking her right off her feet. Almost stumbling out of the door he twirled her around, a smile adorning his features again.
Things had happened, he knew, but somehow he didn''t care. That same old goofy smile rested on his face, large blue eyes seemingly gazing into hers- except they weren''t. Well, he hadn''t counted on her being this light. His large wings quickly fanfared into an almost elegant flap.
"Will?..." Cera questioned, taking a step forwards, small podgy arms wrapping around her brothers ankle. She stayed like that for a few moments, before falling back onto her nappie, fingers twined around her brothers ankle.
Yume was taken about the moment she heard William''s voice sound almost exicted. It wasn''t something she had expected. Let alone, she hadn''t expected him to grab her and pick her up. "Will!" She said laughing slightly at his movement. She was suddenly feeling much more like herself.
Throwing her own arms around his neck, she held onto him and hugged him tightly. "Yes, it''s me! The Neko girl you have known." She smiled before moving slightly and lightly placing a kiss on his cheek. The flap of his wings made her grab onto him tightly again. To her, they seemed bigger than before.
Before he put her down, she felt her legs almost fly into the doorway. Tucking them close, she missed it and came to rest again. Looking down, she smiled at the sleeping Cera. "Still as cute as I remember her." She giggled looking up at the blue eyes of William, her golden ones blazing. "Miss me?" She asked softly.
Even as she chuckled he lit up. A good many months away from her had caused the lad to almost become so depressed he barely even cared anymore, but with one glance. One brief hug he was laughing like he had just won a million pounds. Well, he had won far more than a million in his eyes, he was back with the one girl he loved to death.
"Ah, watch those," he whispered, feeling her fingernails digging into his shirt as his two large wings flew overhead. They had grown, saying that, he''d grown. His fingers made short work of brushing over her back, using the same almost soothing motion he had with his little sister as he bent to place her back onto two feet.
Socked feet shuffled as his long braids fell in front of his ears. Quickly turning almost a shade of red as she planted a soft kiss on his cheek, she''d kissed him! A little tingle of happiness span up his spine, his large smile not being removed for one moment from his face.
"Miss you? Oh heavens Yume, I''ve missed you, more than words can say." He whispered, burying his nose just under one of her ears for those few brief moments. It was true, he had missed her like crazy, more than he could ever say. Even if William had been more than a man of few words now he couldn''t have said much more, the angel positively stunned that she still liked him enough to trot up here after all these months.
"Cera cute?" The little girl questioned, large liquid brown eyes blinking up towards the fellow neko. Her ears twitched, a tiny purr emitting from her throat as she watched Yume get hugged to death by her big brother.
Pulling her nails out of his shoulders, she blushed. "Oh?sorry. Guess I just got a little to scared. I''m not that used to them." She smiled and hugged him once again before backing up so he could pick up his sister.
Smiling at her, she couldn''t help but enjoying seeing them again. They always seemed to make her smile. At least, she could see William was happy. She had never seen him smile so much and even after she kissed his check she seemed to be glowing almost in her eyes.
Feeling his nose in her hair, she relaxed her ears so that their soft fur would brush against his face. A light purr was heard from her throat. "I''ve missed you too. I was scared you forgot about me?" She whispered slowly forcing her head into his shirt.
It was Cera''s words that brought her back to reality. Looking at the girl, she stared wide eyed. "Cera adorable! Oh Will, she''s learned more?" She said looking up at him and beaming a smile. Her voice was energetic and happy as she watched the brother/sister team.
"Well, it has been a while, I''m sure you''ll get used to them soon enough," William spoke kindly, that same smile beaming from one ear to the other. He couldn''t help but chuckle though as one soft ear brushed over his forehead and nose, it was a sensation he''d never felt before, and from that moment on decided he rather liked being so close to the smaller neko.
It hit him in the chest though when she said about forgetting her, oh, how could he be so stupid at times. He''d never forget about her in a million years, no scrap that, eternity. His large wings drooped a little as she pushed her face into his chest, gradually draping his arms around her back. His fingers twined behind her, chin tilting down, his halo shimmering as the light hit it.
"Forget you?...Yume, there wasn''t one moment when you weren''t on my mind my love," He whispered most of it, a shaken tone adding to his already uncertain tone. He clung to her for a few moments, his last two words barely even audible. "Dad''s not back for a few days?" unfortunately he was interrupted by her sudden squeeing over his little sister.
Cera looked delighted at her sudden proposal, a happy giggle splurging from the back of her throat. Releasing her brother''s leg, she stumbled forwards onto all fours, making her way to park back onto her rump on top of the doorway.
"Yes...shes learnt a lot, I have to say that."
"If I can be around you more, I''m sure I will be used to them in no time." She laughed lightly looking them over. Much more angelic like now and seemed much stronger than they had been. She felt bad for not being around much more often.
Feeling his arms around him, she couldn''t help but keep purring as she was in his arms. "Don''t get upset. I didn''t mean to mean for them to hurt." She said quickly running a small nail down his side. She picked up his words with her sharp ears but they seemed to be mixed together so she couldn''t make them out.
"Cera is becoming such a sweet heart. She will be stealing hearts before long." Yume giggled watching the little Neko move around on all fours.
It was then she picked up his words? "What do you mean been gone? Business trip?" She blinked suddenly a bit nervous about what he would say.
The little girl shifted, as a large dog ran up, wrapping her arms almost absent-mindly around the animals neck. She was never quite sure what they were on about, but her ears flicked happily, a large smile beaming on her face. If William was happy, then surely, she could be just as happy?
"Stealing hearts? Maybe," William commented, picturing his little sister sitting there quite happily, most likely not having a clue what was going on. His fingers curled a little around her shirt, afraid she was about to disappear or suddenly vanish. Now he had her back he wasn''t about to let go, ever.
Well, if she didn''t mean it to hurt, then it wouldn''t. Things seemed the same, just the same as when they first went on that date, bar now he had learnt a lot. Being away from home and with his Dad for such a long time taught him something, and inside, he even had a small present waiting for her on the table.
"We''ve all been away for a long while, Dad''s back from his business trip in three days, Yume if you want?.." He started, nervousness flicking up his spine. He almost tensed up for a few moments as her nail traced down his spine, trying his best to cover the slight tingle that brushed up his spine at her light touch.
"Will you stay with us for a few days till hes back?" he started rather nervously and almost apprehensively.
"Thistle?" Yume blinked seeing the dog Cera was grabbing onto. She wasn''t sure if it was her or not but she guessed it was the only dog they had anyway so it had to be?right?
Yume smiled feeling Will''s arms around her again. Seemed he wasn''t letting her go now. "It could happen." She shrugged lightly watching the little girl and leaning against him softly and letting her tail wag against him. "Where did you all go?" She said looking back up at him and blinking. "I was worried about you." She whispered up at him just for him to hear.
His new idea took her by complete surprise. Staying with them?under the same roof and same room? She didn''t know what to say. Looking up at him, she nodded. "If you really want me to, I''ll stay. By the smell of pizza coming through the door, it needs some cleaning in there and you need to eat something else then." She nodded tapping him lightly on the back just next to his wings. "I can''t let you both live like that." She smiled before leaning up on tip-toe and kissing his cheek again.
"Now, care to tell me where he''s gone anyway?"

Roleplay with Yume (continued)
The brown pawed dog barked, nudging the babe a bit closer towards her furry body. For good reasons as well, the window was open up here, a rather chilly breeze starting to circulate through the upper most floor. The smell of the boxes didn't seem to disturb the dog, and as soon as she had boldly braved the open door, three fox cubs followed after. A little bit older than Yume had last seem them the small creatures horded around the larger animal and child, light brown and azure eyes gazing up towards Yume.
William almost bristled, she was worried about him, she still cared. "I'll explain later, I promise." He spoke softly, keeping his light embrace around her back. Shifting from one socked foot to the other, he almost shivered as another breeze racked through the building, slowly wrapping one wing around the side of them so at least some of the breeze was blocked out.
"You'll stay? Well, believe it or not, we've not lived on Pizza's they've just been there for a while?" He quickly stopped, realizing he was being quite ungentlemanly. Taking a step back, he offered his hand out to Yume. Intending to take her inside with him, well, and not let her go again when they got inside once more.
Cera saw it before most, picking up onto all fours. Motioning for the cubs to move, she made to crawl back inside, large black ears twitching as her long dirty, blonde hair fell before her eyes.
Looking down, Yume suddenly saw three small little creatures run past her. At first, she was a bit scared they might have been large rats but slowly, she remembered about Vixy's Cubs and smiled seeing how much they had grown. Just seeming them made her feel slightly worse realizing now how long it had been.
She let out a small sigh and looked back at Will as he moved his wing. Looking over him and into the room, she noticed a window open. Shaking her head softly so that her long ponytail moved back and forth with her head, she looked back at Will. "I hope later won't be too long." She whispered.
"And how long is awhile?" She blinked surprised at him trying to find the pizzas in her sight. She turned her head around as she noticed him pull back from her. She was a bit surprised until she saw his hand come to take hers. A smile passed her lips as she took his hand walked back inside with him being careful of Cera and the cubs. She wasn't used to so many little ones running around her feet. Jiyuu was normally attached to her or playing with Squeeky so he wasn't in her's or Sirene's walking path.
"Would you two mind if I threw the left-over pizza stuff away?" She asked looking from Will to Cera. "A while?....I'm not sure you want to know," The angel spoke nervously, leading her inside. Thistle had rushed over to his side in the meantime, and even now she lead the three of them indoors. The room was cold, a few bricks laid abandoned on top of the carpet from where Cera had been playing a few moments before.
Now inside it wasn't all that bad, the three cubs running off into the nearest bedroom. It was actually quite clean, only the three boxes sitting on the cupboard gave away that it wasn't all that clean. A tiny Robin stirred from his position on the bird cage, and seeing as the door was always open, he tittered out. Perching on the edge of the cage door to watch the new person walk in.
Little black and beady eyes snuck out from underneath the sofa, a pair of black tipped paws slowly snuck out, until the fox came out to meet them. Her long tail flicked too and fro, watching Yume carefully tread in with the cubs, before bolting up to jump on top of the sofa.
"Feel free to clear them away, do you want some help?" William questioned, almost embarrassed that he hadn't done it himself recently. His fingers twined back with her own, enjoying that small bit of warmth pressed up against his own. In his mind it was perfect, and maybe it was. So many things had rushed through his head these past few weeks, he couldn't leave without asking her, could he now?
Cera just trotted back over towards her bricks, tail flicking happily too and fro, a small purr escaping her throat. She seemed happy enough, picking up the bottle full with water beside her, wafting it around in time with placing the bricks against each other. "William?if they have been here that long why haven't you cleaned them out yet?" Yume said in a somewhat commanding tone that let others know she wasn't that happy with their choice. It was the same tone Sirene had used with her as a child when she wasn't doing as she was suppose to.
Sighing slightly, she squeezed his hand once more before pulling her hand free and walking over towards the remains. She hadn't noticed the robin sitting there watching them but the fox she saw well. Walking by her, Yume gave her a small pet before moving over to her goal. "Always the case! Leave a man alone and he never cleans." She said mumbling to herself as she looked back at Will. "Trash is where?" She asked holding everything in her hands.
She wasn't sure what they had been living on since they had been alone but something inside her didn't like seeing Cera taken care of in a mess?let alone leaving Will in it as well. His outfit told her enough about that.
Looking over a Cera from behind the trays, she sighed watching the girl. Her mind was telling her that her motherly nature might kick in soon if she was around her for long. Something about Cera always did that too her. "Will, how old is she now?"
"Rubbish bin is in the kitchen, beside the fridge," William spoke, he almost shuffled nervously. He knew full well they should have been cleared but, what with waiting for his Dad to get back, and keeping the family on run when you can't see a thing - it wasn't easy. His fingers found the blanket that had been dumped at the end of the sofa, folding it back over the couch the best he could.
Stuffing one hand into his pocket, his fingers brushed over the one thing he'd kept in there for her. Well, there was no time like the present, so with that he knelt to place it down onto the sofa. Cera just watched him, half way through putting the next brick on the table. She remembered that box! He'd picked it up while the pair of them were out with her dad. Crawling over towards Vixy, she patted the smaller fox on the head, before going after yume.
"Cera? Ask her yourself, how old are you now kid?" William questioned. She may only be little and have a very limited vocabulary, but she knew how to answer that one perfectly these days. His wings folded back behind him, a single feather falling down onto his palm. Cupping it, he set it beside the box. The box itself was only small, white, but had carved markings into the wood - little swirls and patterns that lead up to the spelling of her name on the top.
Cera's ears perked up, sitting beside the girls feet. Pointing her thumb at herself she repeated, with a bit of mispronunciation mind. "Twue, Cera Two." The second time it came out more clearly, the girl struggling around her words, before beaming as she managed to pronounce each syllable.
"Dad's been gone for about a week now, hes supposed to be coming back in two days time. We had to go with him on his business trip, there wasn't a way around it, one of his relatives died. All rather sudden, or so he said." William started on a speech that obviously some of it belonged to his father, feeling his way back up to sit back on the sofa once more, wings curling around him like he had done when he was a child, and a scared child at that.
Yume nodded and shifted the trays in her hands before walking into their kitchen. It wasn't like theirs so it took a moment before she could find what she was looking for. Her shoes moving quickly on the floor, she moved towards the fridge and dropped the trays into the trash bin. Brushing her hands against her skirt, she stared at the fridge tempted to find out what they had been eating. Shaking her head, she turned and headed out of the kitchen. She was slightly too scared to know.
Walking back into the room, she was greeted by Cera coming towards her. Kneeling down next to her, she smiled as she spoke. "Two? My you are getting to be a big girl now aren't you?" Yume said with a giggle in her voice as she taped Cera's small nose. She had grown and Yume was upset that she had missed it.
William's voice brought her back to him and out of playing slightly with Cera. She looked back at the couch and stood up slowly. She didn't like it when he got this way. When he with-drew, she was always scared he would never come back.
Walking over to the back of the couch, she moved around Vixy and leaned on the couch behind him. "So he's been coming and going?" She sighed and bent over to wrap her arms in the small spaces around the wings he left. She hung onto him softly and whispered to him lovingly "Please don't leave me again." Cera smiled, giggling helplessly as the girl had poked her nose. Determined to show this girl exactly how she was such a big girl, she clambered up towards the sofa. Once there she reached her arms up, latching onto the blanket, and pulled herself up onto two feet. Waddling was no problem, the girl padding over, looking almost like a penguin as she spread her legs for balance - feet out turned, walking her way over.
William tensed up for a few moments as she wriggled her fingers underneath his wings, before slowly relaxing again. One at a time, the large feathered adornments upon his back opened out, falling back behind the sofa. Awfully careful not to let her fall, he wrapped his arms around her waist so if she wanted she could ease back in to sitting on his lap, or just plain old sitting by his side.
"Dad's been coming and going a lot recently, though, you're not to tell anyone about it. Please Yume, I promised him." William started, his chin staying tilted down, one white tooth biting down hard onto his lip. It was only then that he heard his little sister's laughter, trying his best to smile and knock the whole subject off he started up again on the one thing they both shared and loved to have around; Cera.
"Shes been learning how to walk you know," William noted, keeping his arms rested around her waist. It almost felt natural, for the three of them to be there alone. He didn't want it to stop, that was for sure, and leave her again, never? Wait?.it was only then that it hit William what she'd said. Oh gorden bennit?
"Yume?I couldn't leave you again if I tried," He whispered on a just as loving tone. Leaning forwards, he caught her lips in a light but loving kiss. Well, someone had grown a lot bolder since last time they had seen each other. It had only been short, but it hadn't been riddled with nervousness like last time had been.
Feeling his arms around her, she moved closer and sat down softly in his lap. She laid her tail over his leg and wagged the tip of it slowly across his leg. "Don't worry. I won't tell anyone but Mom might get worried if I don't give her a reason I'm staying." She blinking thinking about how her mother would react the moment she said she was staying with them. Just seeing that face she would get she shivered slightly.
She had wanted to say more but could tell he wished not to speak of it yet. Looking down at Cera, she couldn't help but look surprised. Her ears perked up and her golden eyes widened. "Cera! You are such a big girl now! I'm so proud of you." She said happily, almost bouncing out of Will's lap. She wanted to pick up the little neko and just spoil her rotten the moment she saw the small steps over towards them. It was almost too cute for her to believe and a small laugh escaped her. The little girl seemed so much like she wanted to show off for Yume that she would even come towards them. Yume started to wonder what Jiyuu would think of her?
The thought was stopped by Will's moment and sudden kiss. It was something she hadn't expected at all from him. Some things had even changed about him in the time apart. Slowly, she blinked her eyes and then returned the kiss with one of her own on his lips. She had wanted to kiss him since he opened the door but now, she felt a bit more sure about it as she lengthen her kiss on him.
Pulling back from him, she smiled and looked down at Cera again. "Seems both of you have changed and grown." She giggled.
"So, you'll stay?" William questioned as she broke the kiss. Breathless was one word, his eyes blinking rapidly for a few moments. True, he couldn't see, true he didn't have a clue how she'd changed as she sat on his lap but she was here. She had kissed him back, she was in his lap. Even as her tail brushed slowly over his leg, the angel's wings almost fluttered behind him.
Cera smiled happily as the girl giggled, pulling herself up onto the sofa. It was a scary height, even for a toddler, positioning her arms so she could pull her body and legs up to the bouncy cushion. Wriggling her legs, she was soon sitting up beside the pair of them, of course with a helping hand of the fox by her feet. Vixy having given her a helping push up and onto the sofa.
"Yume stay?" Cera questioned, eyeing all around her. It was then that she noticed the box still on the table. Leaning over, she plucked it up from where she was. For the time being, she just held it tight to her chest, small fingernails clutching onto the tiny engraved white container.
William didn't have a clue what to say about the changed, well, he had a lot of time to think while he was gone. Coming back as something slightly changed, for the better, he hoped at least. He just couldn't help but smile, twining his fingers behind her back to keep her from falling off all together. He could have held that moment in time forever, he knew full well he'd have paid the world to lock this moment up, wrap it up in a box and keep it for all eternity.
Cera just stayed sat there, cuddling the box to her chest. She waited for her answer before holding out the little pristine box to the girl, pushing it along the couch covers. One finger pointed at her brother, barely even giving the girl time to answer the previous question, in her mind she was staying and that was it. She'd be here till her Dad got back, right? And her Brother could smile again?
Yume couldn't help but laugh as she listened to the pair of them. It was very easy to tell they were related and she saw that in how both of them seemed to be holding her from ever moving or leaving. "Well, neither of you have given me a choice." She said lightly more looking at Cera as she ran a hand up and down Will's arm. "So, yes. Yume stay" She said lightly copying Cera's words and watching her hang onto something.
Leaning her head to the side, she narrowed her eyes and looked sharply to what Cera was holding onto to closely. Not wishing to leave Will's hold, she moved closer to his chest sliding along his leg next to him. Her eyes never left the little one's gaze. "Cera, what do you have there?" She asked softly thinking it was one of her bricks but noticing something on it that didn't look like the others.
Will seemed lost in his own mind at the moment so she just leaned close to him and purred lightly in her throat for him to hear. She still watched Cera and the little Vixy walking pasted the couch with them. Seemed the mother was slightly happy to not always have the cubs on her anymore or so it appeared.
"From Will?" Cera spoke. Will suddenly snapped out of it, there was only one thing on that table or anywhere near him that was from him. Well, here goes nothing, reaching out one foot (and trying to be awfully subtle about it) he knocked the end of the table. Just enough so the neko wouldn't notice, sure enough, it wasn't there. He almost took in a deep breath, tightening his light grip on Yume as he waited with baited breath for his little sister to give her the box. He had planned out things differently, something slightly more romantic, but well?.it meant a lot to him, and he hoped she'd like it.
Cera just shifted, pushing the white box into Yume's hands. It was smooth around the outside, no bigger than the size of a fur cone and had tiny little golden clasps. There was two clasps holding it together, and around each one the spiral engraving started. Her name was written on the top, and under Cera's thumb the way she held it was a small engraved wing onto the top. If the box wasn't pretty enough, she wouldn't have a clue what exactly was inside the little thing.
"I picked it up while me and Dad were out, just thought you might like it," William started, suddenly speaking a little quicker. He was nervous, that was for sure. His wings flicked a little behind him, waiting until she opened the box. To ask her when she'd opened the box, ask her now, take the box. Why did present giving have to be this complicated?
Vixy just jumped up behind Cera, ushering the small child back to sitting on the other end of the sofa. She laid down, her head resting on the little girls legs. Cera seemed happy to just sit there, watching the two infront of her, brushing her little fingers over the foxes head. It was only then that Thistle padded over, pressing her cold nose into William's trouser leg. Lying down underneath his legs so that her furry back was up against his ankle.
"Its not just the box mind, you need to open it," William started, deciding to stop yammering, as he shifted to get comfortable where they both were. Seeing Cera hand it to her, she took the small box and ran her hand over it. She had felt Will move slight before but didn't know what he was doing at the moment. Now she had a guess he was looking for this. Turning it over in her hands, she looked over the carvings and smiled seeing her name and the wing. It really was beautiful. She was a bit surprised and was too busy enjoying it to open the box.
"William?what is this?" She blinked and looked back at him just noticing that Vixy was moving Cera to the other side of the couch. Seemed everyone knew something about what was going on but herself. Even Thistle was moving in on it. Yume was really starting to feel out of the loop on this one.
"Well, I was going to sooner or later." She said softly looking over at Will and holding the box in one hand. Looking around the room, she shook her head just keeping her hair out of Will's face as she watched everyone. "Well, alright." She smiled and leaned back against him slowly before holding up the box and gently lifting the lid up.
The whole room waited, almost with baited breath as she got to opening the box. Even the small robin on the edge of the bird cage turned his head away from eating to watch the small scene open out. Cera's small eyes watching as she held the box in one hand and slowly opened it. Crazy eah? How time can be stopped for one little piece of wood. Well, it had good reason to be stopped in there.
Inside, under the small layer of clear paper lay a necklace. A delicate silver chain, with a charm at the end of it. The charm was two small wings, in the centre a clear silver globe with one single feather engraved into the silver. Each little feather could be made out on the smaller wings, and even if she rotated it the tiny wings could unlatch from the globe to flap in the breeze on a few single strips of silver to keep them attached. It was perfect, the chain looking about the right size so the charm could rest against Yume's neck. Attached was a small note, obviously written by one of not many words. It read: "Yume, love William".
Cera took in a little breath seeing the ornate jewelry once more, she remembered it from the store, but it seemed so much more sparkly now. Her lips curled up into a smile, clapping her hands together for a few moments. Her tail twitched from one side to the other, her pitch black ears moving from beside her head and back up to the usual place near the top of her head.
Even William heard the rustle, he could feel her shuffle a little closer, a soft but nervous smile staying settled on his face. He heard the box lid open, heard the golden clasps rattle as the lid was completely opened. Resting his arms around her stomach, he took in a deep breath before daring to speak again. "I hope you like it," He whispered just into one of her soft furry ears, his fingers twining together in front of her stomach as she shifted a little further back.
The silence in the room was a bit disturbing for her as she felt all eyes on her and on the box she was opening. Holding her own breath, she opened the box completely and looked in.
The moment she saw it, her jaw dropped. It was one of the most beautiful things she had ever seen. "Oh William!" She purred happily holding the box and necklace in one hand and throwing the other hand around his neck. "I love it so much." She called out before placing her lips back on his and kissing him softly. "Just not as much as I love you." She whispered as she pulled out of the kiss for his ears only.
Slowly, she placed the box back on the couch and pulled the necklace out of it and unhooked the chain before placing it around her neck and hooking it together. The charm landed just under her collar bone giving it a place were all could see who looked at her. She held the charm in her hand for a moment smiling happily. "Thank you so much." She purred looking down at it.
The angel barely heard her for a few moments until she threw one arm around his neck. He laughed happily as she repeated just the words he wanted to hear. Catching her furry ear, he lightly kissed the tip, glad for once he had done something right. Apparently he had a sense of style when it came to jewelry.
Cera gurgled, watching as she put the pretty thing around her neck. Still clapping her hands eagerly together, the girl nuzzled up against the smaller fox beside her. Curling up just a little where she was, her fingers balled in the soft fox's fur, a large yawn escaping her lips as she watched them happily.
"Yume, I'm glad you like it," William chuckled out. Then he did something quite unexpected. He'd been practicing it since he got back, shifting off as he slid the young girl onto the couch. He slid to the floor, wings and all, taking both of her hands within his own. For a few moments he just sat there, teal hair falling down in front of his shoulders, his fringe fanning over his forehead and a few longer wisps falling before his eyes. His wings tucked back behind him, a few larger feathers dwindling down towards the floor.
Thistle moved, gazing up towards his owner. Cocking her head to one side, she wriggled underneath the table, her little body pressed right up against the floor until she came out the other side. Lying where she was, her back paws and tail stuck out of the other end, while her head gazed up towards William. Tail thumping on the floor, she disturbed a few pieces of paper on the desk, but the dog really didn't seem to care.
"I've been thinking about this for so long?.so long, and I couldn't keep it for much longer. Yume, I love you, I always have done?.and I need to ask?" The males voice almost choked up, his eyes seemingly gazing into her own. His halo tilted down as he spoke.
"Will you be my girlfriend? I know it's a big step and?" his voice got faster near the end, but he bit down hard onto his lip. If she only knew how long he'd waited to ask this, how long it had taken him.
Yume giggled feeling his lips against her ear. It wasn't something she head felt before and it was tickling her a bit. Cera seemed to be returning to her nap now as Yume watched her curl up with the fox before feeling William move.
Blinking as she felt herself moved off his lap and onto the couch, she looked a bit scared that she had done something wrong. His sudden movements to the floor made her wonder even more. Her ears stood up and her tail stopped moving as she waited to see what was going on.
Thistle's movements also confused her slightly as she watched the dog move and a few things fly off the table. Deciding she would be playing a house maid soon, she turned back to look at Will just as his words came out.
His girlfriend?
She sat blinking at him. Her heart seemed to have stopped suddenly as she watched him. Wasn't it just a few days ago someone else had asked her this?oh how did she get suck like this.
She sighed and her heart seemed to return to normal as she nodded. "Yes." She smiled looking at him. "I will." She said softly.

A young neko girl laid cross her bed, headphones in her cat-like ears, music blaring into her head. The CD player lay next to her side as her head rest on the pillow, golden eyes closed and a small head nod every now and then with the music. Her long brownish-blonde hair rested around her shoulders, not tied up as it normally was, and she wore a pair of black dance pants with a white button down top. The necklace given to her by William was around her neck reflecting small rays of light from her bedside lamp.
"Yume! Can you come here please?" came a light voice from down the hallway. There was a long pause as no answer came. "YUME!"Came the same female voice screaming now.
The golden eyes shot open as the girl flew up in her bed from hearing a scream. The headphones fell back on her head before she reached up and pulled them off . "Someone calling me?" She screamed back through her closed door before she noticed a shadow under the door as it opened. Standing in the door way, was an adult neko tapping her nails on the door panel. "Hi Mom." Yume nodded moving back to grab her headphones.
"Yume, I want to speak to you." Sirene said stepping into the room and shutting the door behind her before little Jiyuu could slide into the room. He stood outside the closed door, Squeeky on his head, leaning in trying to listen. "And please put the CD player away. I don?t know why I got you that?" Sirene sighed as she sat on the end of Yume's bed.
Yume blinked and pulled her legs up under her as she wrapped the headphones around the player. "Ok Mom, what is it?"
Sirene looked over at her daughter and sighed. "Yume, I want to talk to you about what is going on in your life."
"Mom! My life is fine. I tell you everything that happens so why do we need to go into this again?"
"Because it's coming up that you are going to be a young lady and I can't do the same things for you I do now. When you become an adult, life is going to be different for you. You can't just sit around in your room and..." She picked up the CD player and held it in her hand "And listen to your music all day."
"I know Mom. That's why I want to enjoy it while I can." Yume smiled trying to get this over with. She loved her mother but sometimes, thought she tried to hard.
"Well then, can I ask you what you want out of your life since you seem to know it all." Sirene smirked over at her daughter and crossed her arms over her chest.
Yume shook her head. She should have expected her mom to pull this stunt. But in truth, she didn't see it coming. "I...I really..." Yume looked towards her bedroom window and shook her head. "I really don't know. I know the warnings you want to give me...think before you act, all your actions will follow you through everything and all that but I don't know where I want to go with my life."
Sirene shook her head softly before moving closer and placing a hand on Yume's arm. "You see. This is why I wanted to talk to you. I will always be here if you need me but one day, it will be up to you to decide what you want to do."
Yume just nodded and pulled her legs up to her chest.
"Darling, is something wrong?"
"There is something I want to do..." She whispered leaning her head on her knees.
"Oh? And what is that?" Sirene smiled. She was waiting to hear something about marriage and kids. That was something she always knew Yume had wanted since she was little.
"I want to find my Mother...my real mom." Yume cried into her knees, too scared to look up at Sirene.
Sirene was happy Yume was looking at her. The words had hit hard in her and her face was showing it. Her eyes were wide and face in shock as her ears went flat against her head. Taking a deep breathe, she turned back to look at her daughter and moved closer to her as she wrapped her arms around Yume's back. "Is that what you really want? Do you really want to find her?" She said softly, her heart was hurt but she wanted to see her daughter happy.
"It is." Yume whispered and looked up at Sirene. Tears were in her eyes as she looked into the blue eyes of her mom. She threw her arms around Sirene and cried. "I want to know the truth. I know I'm adopted. You never had to tell me that. But I want to know why Jiyuu and I were sent away." She cried.
"If that is what you want?" Sirene sighed and hugged her daughter. "Then I will help you all I can." She brushed the tears off Yume's face and nodded. "Let's get you cleaned up." She smiled as she picked up her daughter and moved to the door.
As the door opened, a little ball rolled into the room and looked up at the shadows of the two female nekos above him. "Mew?" He whispered scared that he was in trouble.
"Well, seems your brother still needs his sister her as well." Sirene smiled and kissed Yume's cheek. "I'll get you something to eat." Sirene whispered as she walked into the other room.
Yume looked down at Jiyuu and smiled. "Did you hear us?" He shook his head. "Good. I just want you to know that I may not be here all the time. You are still my favorite little brother." She bent down and hugged him.
"Where are you going?" Jiyuu whimpered and looked up at the shadow of his sister.
"No where yet. But I might be moving in with someone later...if he asks me." She smiled as the smell of cake filled the air. Sirene had been baking again and Yume loved that smell. "Come on. Before Mom's sweet tooth kicks in, let's go get some."
Jiyuu smiled and grabbed onto his sister's neck as she carried him into the kitchen.

One Night Alone A sliver beam of light flew through the window and landed on the face of a young neko. Her eyes were open, looking up at the light as silent tears fell down her cheeks. Her golden eyes were red from her silent tears. Had her heart really snapped? "Can he really be gone?" the neko whispered between sobs. Two more tears rolled down her cheeks. "He can't really be gone?" Slowly, she grabbed onto a pillow she had been holding close to her chest. Her fangs, now more developed than they had been years ago, sunk into the fabric has she held herself back from full out crying. It was hard?harder now than ever before but she knew she would last?some how. "Where is he...did he leave me?" She mumbled through the white cotton in her mouth. No one saw her like this...not her mother, not her brother, not anyone. Her tears were for her alone...especially these. Looking up slowly at the moon light, she sat up, still holding the pillow tightly in her arms but letting go of it from her mouth. "It is nights like these that I love to be out. I love to enjoy life on full moons. They make me feel so alive. But,not this one." She whispered sitting on her window seal and opening the blinds. The cold window seal felt good on her head. She didn't care if it was from the outside or the AC on in her room, it just soothed her mind and felt good on the warm tears. "Will, if you aren't coming back, please, just let me know some how...some way. I don't want to lose you but I can't keep on holding onto false hope." She squeezed her pillow tightly as two images filled her head. One was of Will. The young angel she had met when she was just a kitten. He was so timid and cute. Completely different from her out-going style and not at all someone people would now a days put her with. Then, the other image was of the crazy, always in for a good time, demon, Zuko. She couldn't help but smile. There was a character. He is always so full of life and so full of lust for women that wasn't measurable by any ruler. He would stop anything to talk to a beautiful girl. Shaking her head slowly, she forced a slow smile. "Zuko...always makes a smile." She said looking up at the full moon again. The glowing, sliver light in her gold eyes made them glow as if they were on fire. But the fire was soon put out by another set of tears. She had been like this for the past hour and more than anything, she wanted it to stop. Her face was cool from the tears but her chest...her heart...burned and hurt worse than anything she had ever felt. She moved her hand up and clinched onto her chest. "Isn't there anything to make this pain go away..." She sobbed closing her eyes as two more tears ran down her face. "Heart break never goes away. It just lessens over time." Came another female voice. Yume opened her eyes quickly and jerked her head back. Through her water-logged eyes, she could make out her mother's shadow in her door-way. "Yume, why didn't you tell me." The elder Neko said softly as she walked to her daughters bed and sat down next to her. She placed her arms around Yume and pulled her close. "Why were you trying to take this alone?" Yume started to pull away from her mom, determined to be independent but stopped hearing the softness of her voice. "Mom...I thought it would go away. I thought he would be back soon. But it's been months and no word. Why? Why did he leave me?" She whispered into her mother's shoulder. "I'm sure he had a good reason." Sirene whispered back to her daughter as she stroked her long hair. "He won't want to leave without one and face the rath of the Naiads family." She said with a small smile. "He asked me to move in with him...just before he left. I told him yes...maybe...he didn't want to?" Yume cried thinking back to the day. It hurt to remember how happy she felt and how bad now. The older Neko's eyes widened. "He asked you to live with him?" She said questionly. She didn't know that. "Well, then something big had to have happened. I'm sure he will be back soon." She said kissing her daughter's head. "In the mean time, what about Zuko? You seem to like him. Why not get to know him better? It will keep your mind busy." She smiled. "And for now, the best treatment is ice cream. I think we have a whole container in the fridge." She smiled down at her daughter. "I'd like that." Yume said with a laugh in her voice as mother and daughter walked to finish off the gallon of ice cream.

Yume sat in bed and held a pen between her teeth. She was reading over her old diary and sighing as she went through it all. Nothing seemed the same anymore.
Dear Diary... What can I write in you? That I have given up hope on Will ever returning? Yes, that is true. I have given up hope on my beloved Angel. The move never took place to I am still living at home.
With that, she smiled and looked back down at the page.
Which is fine by me as mom is a good cook. She has taught me well so when I do move out, maybe I can cook dinner as well. That is, if I ever move out. I hope so. I don't think I can finish anymore ice cream that quickly for awhile. But it was an amazing bonding time between my mother and I. She really opened up to me about her and her old boyfriends. Guess now I understand why she isn't married.
There was a small laugh in her throat as she thought back to Sirene talking about some guys who turned out to be total idiots.
But anyway, my blind angel is gone. I hope to find someone else then who I can be myself. I think I may check in on my old demon friend. Never know!
Mew.
