Hi I was noticing on Demise's text that it says he can only be RITUAL summoned by End of the World. And that on Advanced Ritual Art it says that it RITUAL summons the monster. Specifically: Demise King of Armegeddon This card can ONLY be RITUAL SUMMONED with the Ritual Spell Card, "End of the World". By paying 2000 Life Points, destroy all cards on the field except this card. Advanced Ritual Art Select 1 Ritual Monster in your hand. Send Normal Monsters from your Deck to the Graveyard whose total Levels are equal to that Ritual Monster's. RITUAL SUMMON a card with the name of the selected Ritual Monster from your hand. So the question is would Advanced ritual art be able to summon Demise, Zorc, and others that have the specific requirement of a certain card or does this bypass the text of the card itself and allow a ritual summon of those monsters as "Advance Ritual Art" is clearly not "End of the World?" Thanks. ------------------------------------------------ Answer: I hope everyone realizes that every Ritual Monster in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG says that they can "...only be Ritual Summoned by [Some Ritual Spell Card]". (Except for "Relinquished", who honestly didn't have the room.) You can use "Advanced Ritual Art" to Ritual Summon "Demise, King of Armageddon", and every other Ritual Monster currently printed in the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. --------------------------------------- Curtis Schultz Official UDE Rules Dude

There has been quite a debate as to whether or not "Great Shogun Shien" is considered to be a "Six Samurai" monster. The rulings do not actually state it is; rather, they refer to the monsters that actually have the words "Six Samurai" in their card names and "Great Shogun Shien" separately. This creates some questions as to whether the supporting Spell/Trap cards can be used in conjunction with "Great Shogun Shien". Lane Manning -------------------------------- Answer: http://lists.upperdeck.com/read/messages?id=10365 "Many commonly used phrases have been made shorter and simpler to make is easier to read the cards, but they still mean exactly the same thing! For example, a "Destiny Hero" monster and a monster with "Destiny Hero" in its card name are exactly the same thing, but the first wording is shorter. (It takes less time to read, so you have more time to Duel!)" So... does "Great Shogun Shien" have "Six Samurai" written anywhere in its card name? NO. So is "Great Shogun Shien" a "Six Samurai" monster? NO. --------------------------------------- Curtis Schultz Official UDE Rules Dude

Ultimate_Kaze I have a question lets say you have 1 six samurai on the field and you special summon grandmaster but your opponent activates torrental tribute can you destroy grandmaster instead to save the other six samurai and if so would it still come back to my hand? No, you cannot destroy a different Samurai in place of anouther if that Samurai would be destroyed. You can only destroy a Samurai in place of one other Samurai and the Samurai you destroy instead must be active on the field, not about to be destroyed.

Competition Square We have a new subforum. As you may of noticed Duel Academy Building has gone and been replaced with Competiton Square. This is where you can create or take part in competitions for gold, items or just fun. All competitions need to have a link to Yu-Gi-Oh!

Wel, since this is now the introduction thread as well, and since I just joined recently, I might as well take advantage of it.
Since I try hard not to use my real name on places like this, feel free to call me Jay. I'm from Texas, and I have a pretty big love of anime, comic books, old TV shows, wrestling, video games and most regular games in general. I've dabbled in collectible card games over the years, but Yu-Gi-Oh! is pretty much the only one I really got into and could play with real ease.
At the moment, I own somewhere in the neighborhood of 4000 cards, and have used some pretty decent decks, but my personal best is my Spellcaster deck. Yes, I use the structure deck, but I've altered it and made some pretty good additions to it.
I enjoy dueling with other people, and if anyone's interested in challenging me, drop me a PM sometime. I can either do it in YVD (Yu-Gi-Oh! Virtual Desktop), or through other means (instant messaging, PMs, email, etc.).
Anywho, take it easy! ~Jay

Hello folks! I'm Sharon!
I don't watch the show much, but I like playing the game a lot. I just play the advanced format. I have a sorta cool Earth Beatdown/Rat toolbox sorta deck that I like and a really crappy Spellcasters deck too.
My collection is really small though, since I just play yugioh casually and mainly play Magic. I only have a few hundred yugioh cards.
I mainly just play at my local shop, never in tournies cause I suck, just casually. Everyone plays monarchs, those unoriginal jerks.
Music is nice, I listen to a lot of music. Some of my fav bands are: Mazzy Star, Rasputina, Hole, The Frogs, Ace Of Base, Slayer, Dethklok, Guns N Roses and The Ramones.
I don't like a lotta modern stuff, TV kinda makes me sad and I don't watch many movies. I don't really like any video games made past 1995 or so. NES always has been and always will be the best video game system ever made in my opinion. I really rock at the original Super Mario Bros. games and Bubble Bobble is my fav game ever! I also like Pac Man, Dragon Warrior 1-4, Mega Man 1-6, the first 2 Legend Of Zelda, and Castlevania 2:Simon's Quest.
Feel free to ask me anything else, I love you all, thanks for accepting me.
