Ukata stayed stretched upon the ground when Dili pulled her warmth from him. He watched her, silent and caught her pleas.. and her denials. From the denial in her form he gleamed what must be true, what he had known. As she turned to him in parting, he offered her a smile, a slight one for it was not his wont to give more. There was a humor in this, slight but true:
Truth did not know what she wanted, and therefore she did not know the truth.
He let her go, no matter that his own mind felt the need to seek out his brother. In due course he would follow her, but the female needed time alone. For a moment a sadness creeped into him, true and full, that she never spent much time with any member of the family anymore. Indeed, he thought more of her than he saw at any point. Perhaps this was a reason for that unspoken feeling he carried, always wanting what he could never have.
Muhali's words drifted into his ears, then, waking Ukata with a jolt. For a moment, he was started at having been so transparent about his affections. The reality settled in quickly enough, leaving him to wonder; how many did Truth affect this way?
Perhaps it was naught more than her domain. Every creature was well known to have a need for truth, an 'affection' for truth. They happened to know the physical embodiement of it, and.... No. It was more than that, he wouldn't deny it. And here sat another, entranced like he and yet never saying it. Like him, Muhali realized that even stating it would be ignored, denied... the single lie that Truth allowed herself to keep. It would go unspoken for much longer yet.
He said not a word, but gave a nod, before he stood. His wings unfurled, much as his sister's had, and he took to the sky. There was nothing to say, for she knew as surely as he did. With that final though, Ukata took the memories and denied them.
