I need to get mine trimmed again, but it's down to my brastrap.
Usually on the weekends I don't wash it for a day, unless I know I have to work. XD it's taken me a few years to grow it, but it really hasn't felt that long of a time period. just keep patient!
there is a short time when you're growing out your hair though, when it drives you insane and you just want to cut it all off- don't do it! it'll pass. it's usually when it's a little past the shoulders, but not long enough to stay behind your shoulders when you bend. I've been through this a few times...

trim it. because the split ends split all the way up and just break off while it's trying to grow. i dye my hair a lot, and vitamins and natural things help keep mine in good shape and it does help me in length. my hair grows super slow, and i've been doing this for about 2months and i've gained about 4 inches in length. Extra Virgin Olive Oil, my boyfriend works at an italian restaurant so i make him bring home the super good stuff. (XD) heat it up, and have someone MASSAGE it into your head, don't just pour it, massage. my hair feels like virgin hair, and it's soft like after you don't wash it for a day. but i do that a few days after dying my hair, and i dye about 3x a month, and do it all month. i don't know why, but it works, for me. xoxo `lissie

I friend of mine uses horse shampoo and it will make you hair grow in thicker, stronger and faster. But i still say remember your vitamins =) for better skin, hair and nails.

I don't know if its quite true or not, but my friend told me if you put your hair in french braids it helps. She also said that while it is in the braids that putting olive oil on your hair will also help it grow. You said part of your hair was short, but I'm not sure how short or if its long enough to be put into french braids. I hope I was of some help.

Raining_blood_tears Your hair grows a avarage of 1cm each month. For most hairstyles you need to have long hair. And i was wondering if there was a way of making your hair grow faster. My hair is short on one side and long on the other, and Id like to make it longer so I can cut it into more hairstyles. Does anyone know any way? Well 1 cm a month... Perhaps... because i am constantly cutting my bangs every week other week because it grows out. I cut them a few mm above the center edge of my eyebrows. um yeah... anyhoo Hair doesnt grow fast... I dont believe its like a cm a month for each person. It depends also. Some peoples hair grow slower compared to other because of damage. all I can say is that as your hair gets longer its more prone to damages due to sun dust and enviorment. So just take good care of it. I put vitamins on my hair or conditioning. In general i put it to prevent frizzing >.< If you dont want to wait i recommend extentions at least the clip ons

Also, when you are in the shower, comb though your hair completely. This is what I've learned to do, but hey, I mainly just want to use wigs instead.

I dye my hair often- about every 2 weeks (It's hard to keep blue from fading gonk ) . But I also only wash it every other day, using a deep conditioner on my tips when I do. So it's in a pretty good condition right now.
Especially since I recently used Garnier Fructis' three minute miracle cream. It works well if you put a cap on your head, activate it with heat, and then leave it in for about an hour. My hair has never been this healthy.
I'm always reluctant to trim my hair, because I'm growing it out to my butt.

Just keeping it healthy will do wonders 3nodding
I shampoo and condition my hair every other day, let it air dry and put in product that protects it from heat damage before straightening/curling as well as product that helps it keep straight or curled so I don't spend as much time with the heat on it trying to get the style to hold
Another thing I've heard but am not quite sure if it works, is that since hair is dead protien cells you should eat a lot of protien and ti will grow faster

your hair is not simply protein , your hair is made up of keratin proteins , mostly. So your best bet to get your hair longer and healthier is to eat lots of silica (which has keratin , but this is not a protein found in things like beef) rich foods. Beets , spinach, other greens, and grains ( however chemically processed foods [like bleached anything] have been altered to not have a usable form of these proteins). Also , dyeing your hair is very detrimental to its health and growth. Your are on a small level introducing toxins to the skin cells on your head , so they wont grow hair very well until the toxin has been removed , so saying that eating a food grade clay ( bentonite ) which is sold in the heath care sections of larger grocery stores , taken one or two days after dyeing your hair will actually help remove those toxins from your skin. hope this helps , at least I know Im paying attention in anatomy.
