She was right with her frist impression: this guy was formal. She nodded a bit and chuckled. "Of course I'll be your friend Jordan, no worries." She shook her head in amusement for a moment beofre heaving a sigh. "Just don't be surprised if you don't get assignments..." She shook her head and stood up slowly.
There was a noticible difference in her skin since they had first seen eachother. Instead of the shiny rubber like texture it had befre it was more dried out and cracked. Little flakey bits were seeming to come off of her shoulders.
"But for now I should get going. Probably going to get in a swim before I go for food myself."

He was pleased to know that he wouldn't feel alone and that was comforting. Hopefully he'd feel better before too long. Jordan hadn't made a bad impression this time, but if this kept up, things could get worse. It was difficult to keep himself composed from the lack of sleep.
Jordan wondered when he would get his assignments.. he wasn't used to so much free time..
Jordan noticed the difference in texture of Awen's skin and felt concern for her condition. "Are you alright, Awen? I hope that I haven't kept you too long." he slipped on his sunshades. "And I hope to see you around sometime." he took a bite of one of the sausages and watched her stand.

Awen glanced at her shoulder and brushed off a piece of flaked skin. "Don't worry about it." She chuckled and shook her head. "It's just a bit of dry skin. Just itchy, nothing serious."
She waved a webbed hand and turned to leave. "And remember no mentioning your work infront of others until you figure out if they're friendlies or no."

As Awen left him to finish his meal, Jordan mulled those words over. He'd have to be more discreet about his position in the future. He was lucky this time, but in time it would be inevitable that he'd meet some of the less tolerant, hostile subjects.
Awen was nice and she'd leveled with him, something that he respected her for. As he spooned his food idly in thought, it caused him some measure of worry as he sat alone, pondering what was in store for him in the coming days. There was a shady side to this entire 'second chance'. Was he going to end up a test subject just as Awen and others have? He didn't want to think that way.. he wanted to believe this truly was his oppotunity to redeem past deeds. Still... the possibility lingered in his mind.. what if..?
Jordan sat there for some time as he stared at the remainder of the food on his plate, poking at it in distraction.
