((yatta, first RPness <3 ))

The odd mix shuffled about the house, picking up scattered toys and whatnot... Though for once it was slightly harder to actually bend over. Not that she was all too pregnent at the moment, maybe a three months. And her clothes hid most of it. She tried to pick up the object anyways... A streak of.. something slipping behind her, causing her to jerk into a standing position with a yelp and spin around on her heel. Blushing deeply she stared at the boy currently staring up at her innocently. A few stuttered half words came out, before she just growled and flailed at him, with nothing better to do.

Miroku just stared up at her calmly, grinning brightly. The poor woman had no idea how to respond to that... Thus, it was fun! Though he really shouldn't when she was pregnent should he?
He smiled and tried to cover up "I just wanted to see if i could hear the baby!" yea. Sure. He quickly placed the side of his head on her stomach frowning when she grabbed ahold of his wrists.

"My brothers coming over soon! And we're going to tell him the good news." She frowned at the boy "So... Try to behaive?" She ruffled his hair as he nodded turning to continue trying to clean up the place.

She had moved into Freize's apartment for the entire thing.. Possibly after. She wasn't sure. Oh well, Zhome was going to be here soon! Happy day!

It was at that perchance moment the doorbell rung, ringing in the next second of time and space for the world. Or something like that was what ran through his head with a nod, always a little bit buzzed if nothing else on liqour. Yet, he never really seemed to smell it, just.. Well, was. So the door rung and he waited, whistling slightly and rocking back and forth for a few moment. Of course that lasted for about two seconds before he tested the doorknob, wiggling the item untill he heard the click, and wait resting against the door as well.

And with that, he fell inside the door without a moment, falling head over heels untill he finally twitched on the ground in front of the door, jacket sprawled over his head and blocking the entire world from sight, all with a mere piece of leather and cloth. Of course, it was these moments he was thankful for his new shirt, always kept his torso from view even if his jacket lifted somehow. "Itaiii... Shouldn't lean against the door, bad things happen...." Came the grumble as he shook his head and opened his eyes to see... black. "Nanii? Who turned out the lights?" The moron was at it again.

"Leave her be." A sharp look was sent in Miroku's direction from where the 'mutt entered, expression proving he was quite the opposite of amused. Freize was pacing about the house, currently reading some sort of book that appeared to be written in some sort of foreing language- perhaps Latin. He had just missed the door, but managed to make it into the room on his second try... Although he wasn't quite pleased to see what Arafel's son was up to.

He suddenly went completely rigid, head swivveling, eyes coming to a narrow, "Did you hear that...?" .... He perked then and closed his book, tossing it in some random direction. "Someone's here." He shot a look of warning to Miroku, and then was trodding over to the door- he almost had a heart attack when the doorbell rang. Damn noisy thing. He was very busy muttering every know curse and a few new ones under his breath, suddenly bearing inu ears, rubbing at one lightly. He was about to tug on open the door when... Oh. Looks like he found his own way in.

He looked curiously at the male on the floor, tilting his head and tucking his hands into his pockets and listening to the other talk for a moment or so before clearing his throat. "Hullo."

Umi wandered on into the room where Arafel and Miroku stood, watching them quietly. He had just left Spiro in the kitchen, and since the two of them didn't really have... Great conversations... Or conversations at all, he decided to wander on out to find out who else was home and had come across them first. But of course, he never really approached anyone. He just kind of walked over and stood there. He was good at that.

Miroku gave a laugh as he backed off, slouching at the glare he was receiving. "Ehh.. So greedy.." he pouted, shuffling off to go "behaive." He never really conversed much with anyone. He found it best not to make friends. Though it did make him wonder why he befriended Sango.

"Eh?" Arafel perked, following after him. Somehow the doorbell didn't seem to startle her, maybe it was just because she had grown acustom to her brother. Who knew. She watched curiously as he fell in, snickering slightly as he couldn't figure out the fact his jacket had fallen over his head.

Attempting to kneel and help her brother, wobbling a bit but managing to do so she carefully removed the jacked from his face, smiling warmly. She loved her brother, no matter how childish and idiotic he seemed at times. It allways managed to cheer her up, not that she was in a bad mood now but just the same. Her tail wagging was her only greeting as she smiled at him. That special little glow women get when they're pregnent was there.

The drunk nodded a bit and waved despite his 'handicap', smiling brightly as the jacket was pulled from his head. "Eh? Oh, was my jacket... Hey Oneesan! Nick-san!" Came his shouts of recognition and joy, a slight drunken blush covering his cheeks and nose. Actually, not long after looking to the both, he gave a soft shout, jumping up to hug them both in a group hug.

Of course, that only lasted long enough for him to make his way into the room, pushing them both ahead of them as well. "Move, move! Oneesan said was big thing, whatever, so got champaign for Oneesan and Nick-san!" came his happy words, nodding as he made sure to set them both in the nearest seats. With that done, he reached into his jacket, pulling out both a bottle of champaign and three plastic champaign glasses, pouring and handing both of them glasses. "Sooo.. What'd Oneesan wanna tell?" he asked, setting the glass down next to him and crouching cloes to the ground.

The 'mutt went rigid a moment, sudden inu ears twitching about, and he blinked as he was hugged. Of course, it was Zhome, so he wasn't really all too surprised or threatened- he was still getting used to the idea of being openly embraced by another living being... Well, that wasn't a child. Or Ajani. After all, Hatori wasn't going around giving hugs. That idea was actually laughable..

Well, he was used to Arafel, of course... But that had taken... Many many years of developing trust. Luckily, though, Freize wasn't based off of instincts like he once was. Back when he and Arafel first met, if he had been embraced like this, someone would end up severely injured. Or dead. Whichever came first, y'know? Now. Back to the matter at hand.

Speaking of hands, the weremutt took his and gave a light pat to the other male's shoulder- his own sort of show of affection. "Glad you could make it.." His nose wrinkled as the scent of alchohol reached him- yes, it seemed that their companion was just a little bit more than a little drunk. ".. Well, what's here of you.." came the mutter, and then he and ARafel were being pushed on inside and into some seats.. He glanced about and then reclined in the chair. It was his house, hell if he'd be uncomfortable. The faintest of smiles played over his lips as he watched the cheerful male, taking the plastic glass he was offered warily... He sniffed, and decided one glass wouldn't hurt. He wasn't too big on alchohol, but he had to be polite. And it wasn't like he couldn't stomach it, so he would.

He tilted his head back and downed the glass easily, ears twitching about as he listened to whatever conversation happened to stir beside him.

Arafel watched, a bit amused, as her brother latched himself to Freize. She was suprised that he still did that... You'd think, like in all the studies with negitive reinforcement to an act one would stop... Oh well. This WAS her brother after all.

Her brother was allways drunk wasn't he? She frowned a bit... he'd only started that.. after tha tone incident. Poor boy, she never said anything because.. well he was a happy drunk. Maybe it was selfish but she liked seeing him happy. And as long as he didn't hurt anyone or himself it was fine, right? Atleast he never got himself hammered too often, that or he allways was. She was yanked out of ehr thoughts while being shoved into the other room to take a seat.

She laughed lightly, shaking her head and setting the alchoholic drink down "I can't!" she beamed, as if that were such a joyful thing. And well.. for anyone who knew her "condition" it was, but her brother didn't know that.

Zhome wasn't really the strongest, or the brightest, so he tended quite a bit not to get hints or anything. But, he was loving of most people, affectionate, and just about always happy. He tended to be drunk just about always as well, but he was happy that way, and it didn't hurt him really, so what was wrong with it? He didn't know or care really, since he was happy, and he kept his sister happy.

He smiled broadly at the two, raising his own champaigne glass happilly. It was withdrawn about ten seconds after his sister spoke, delayed reaction, mixed with an incredulous stare. Not drink? To him, that was blasphemous, although he understood others didn't share his love of the mindnumbing drink, nor have quite his reasons for always using it. But his sister usually humored him with the occasional drink, especially something as light as champaigne, so in his logic, something was wrong with his sister. "Oneesan?"

The boy was slightly lost as to what though, mind racing as he set down his own glass on the table. She wasn't hurt, he didn't smell any blood on her or Frieze, so... Must be something else. Simply enough though, he was worried, hopping to his feet and starting to pace with an anxious expression on his face "What's wrong? Zhome can help, he knows he can! Always used to, so.. So... Just need to not drink, then can help Oneesan..." The last he muttered more to himself, nodding as he said it.

Strange minds work in strange ways.

The 'mutt licked over his lips, inu ears giving a twitch, tail swaying contentedly behind him. He watched with vague curiousity as Zhome worked himself up, brows arching themselves somewhat. He gave a tilt to his head, "Ah, that's right." He had turned to Arafel after remembering what was said to have worked up the other male so much. He took the drink from where she set it and then downed that as well before setting aside both of the empty glasses.

He didn't want to ruin Zhome's earlier happier mood- albeit that was a little late- and in his own bizarre thoughts decided that it would be better if both glasses were finished. Besides, he could hold his alchohol just fine- but he had to make sure not to really overdo it. That wouldn't be healthy for anyone.

He laced his fingers and rested his hands on his stomach, one ankle coming to rest on the opposite knee. His ears twitched as the other's tone lowered, trying to still pick up on whatever he was saying... And then he shot a smile towards Zhome, "I wouldn't worry. I don't think she needs help yet..." His eye twitched and he took on a sudden sheepish look, "Unless you want to start helping bring the groceries." Last time he had gone out for groceries, he had tripped on the steps and made a huge mess out of the stairs up to the front door. Thank the gods Hatori had come out when he had, or God knows how long the klutzy weremutt would have been bumbling around out there.

The were-elf snickered at her brother, Watching him pace around and worry aobut her for a moment before deciding to finally stop him. "No no, I'm fine!" moving to her feet she attempted to stop him from pacing around so she knew he was listning when he told her. Wasn't it sweet though? Most siblings fought alot from what she'd seen.. she never had that with him. Then again, they were twins.. so that was probably different.

She then paused, fidgeting a bit, giving a glance back to freize before looking to her brother again "Uhm. Well, I'm pregnent! and alchohol would be bad for the baby..." she nodded matter of factly, patting her stomach and falling back into a sit, mindful of her now wagging tail.

Zhome calmed a little at his sister's assurance, albeit still worried. She may say she's fine, but he knew it may just be to calm him. Of course, Frieze saying it too helped of course hammer it in though, so he nodded and slowly started to sit again. Untill he heard his sister thuroughly. She was... Pregnant?

He had had plenty of nieces and nephews before, but he didn't remember any who had actually been, well.. Birthed... By his sister. So, what was he to do? His only thought for the moment was a simple one, he'd definately have to sober up now.. And that only made him whimper as he fell to a crumpled position. He couldn't drink or do anything of his usual sort of coping.... And that did nothing but worry him as he whimpered. "Then.. Then Zhome should... Be good example."

He tried to smile as he spoke, but he didn't like the thoughts of being sober, not even in his drunken state.

Freize gave a slow smile as she revealed their news, ears twitching. He then shot a glance towards her brother, brows arching thoughtfully, fingers tapping along the arm of his chair as he tried to think up a response. Hm.. He lifted a hand, letting it run through his hair and then fall to rub at one temple.. The taste and scent of alchohol were always too strong for his enhanced senses, which is why he tried to avoid it most of the time. Sure, he could stomach a hell of a lot- he got it from his father, he supposed- but he always got one nasty headache from it. Always happened. Always. Oh well.

He rolled his gaze, which had wandered off to a wall during his thought period, back towards Zhome, drawing in a deep breath. "Well, it depends what you mean by good example." He shifted, hand drooping further to rub at his chin, "Of course you can still drink, and do... Whatever the hell it is you do when you're out away from here... You just can't be heading over here all drunk. Besides, my father used to drink all the time when I was young, and it never really affected me. Good examples... Just don't... Make the bad stuff seem good to the kids, I guess."

He always compared himself and everyone else to his parents- mentally, that is- even though he never really got a lot of time with them. They were his role models, and he wanted to be just like them. To have a kid that loved him as much as he loved his parents. It would be hard though... Seeing as his father was a very open, cheerful spirit who made many friends even though he was monster... And Freize... Couldn't be that way even if he wanted to. But he could try. That's what role models are for, right? Trying to model yourself after them... Hmn.

Kids, kids... His sister always seemed to take so many in, so many that he ended up moving into her closet of his own voalition to make more room for them... And well, they all as far as he knew, simply chocked him up to be just the crazy old man who lived in the closet. Hell, it was a trick of his trade, the kitsune part of him anyways, an illusion of sorts.. But at the same time just as real as the world itself. Although, he had to admit, it had cost him a tail..... That though, was a thought for different times, forgetten within seconds in the drunken mess of his head, so he cheered slightly.

He was drunk, and he figured that as much as he'd dote on the smaller child, it'd take the same view of him, likely he'd help encourage it, and well, save for a few of his views, he'd be a plenty good moral instructor, not letting the boy do too much that was bad. Well, save for steal, but he didn't see the point of the capitalist system anyways. So, chances are, he'd make no great impact on the child, save for being a fun person to be around. Somewhere inside that hit a spot and hurt, badly.. But it was deep enough in and covered with more than enough liqour to be unheeded.

So, as far as the two could see, he cheered slightly and nodded. "Hai... Hai, and he'll see Zhome as crazy man who lives in his closet too!" In short... He wasn't worried about being a bad influence, or the greatest of a good one either, just one of the smallest of the major roles in the child's life, if not less. Although, whether that would be true or not time would tell.

(Besides, the drunk could mope when he was sober! Which shouldn't be for a decade or so if he had done the right arithmatic, but seeing as he was even more drunk at the time than usual, well, it could just as easily be in a month or by the time tha baby was born as that.)

((Well we kinda finished that. So, Arafel probably gave zhome some food and they all talked a bit then he left. XD but thats not important and we're lazy.))

Arafel chewed her lip as she took a seat on her bed, in a more relaxed outfit instead of burried under layers of clothes. A simple baggy "gaia" T-Shirt and pants. Mostly.. because this shirt had been free, and she hardly ever bought anything. Even though the shirt was baggy the small swell of her stomach could be seen much better, she stared at for a moment before the grin forced it's way onto her face.

The wide smile stuck as she listened to the creak of the new journal she and Freize had gotten to keep track of the events. She crossed her legs, tapping the pencil on her chin as she thought over the days events.
She gave a firm nod then started writing.

----

I told my brother today.
I was.. really excited. I'd wanted a child and.. I'd given up really, but Zhome allways kept my hope that I could one day. I was overjoyed to finally tell him he had been right.

He was drunk again, but because of our bloodline that doesn't hurt him. I've never seen anything wrong with it. Maybe just because I know why he does it.
I was shocked to hear that he was planning on drinking less to be a good influence... I'm proud, really. I hadn't expected that at all.

-Arafel

----

She looked over the writing, checking for any mistakes before nodding and carefully tucking the book away in it's designated drawer.

Arafel gave a wide yawn, streaching her arms up a high as she could giving a light squeak. Her arms dropped as soon as the yawn finished as she smiled to Freize, they were up before the kids were to have a nice quiet breakfast. Soon enough they'd all be coming out in all sorts, Akira and Cougar probably bounding off the walls, and Yuki would probably be the exact oposite. (poor boy never could wake up until halfway through breakfast.)

She stared at freize for nearly a minute, a light frown as she seemed to be thinking about something.. ofcourse he was probably used to this by now. "Freize?" she piped up finally, waiting patiently to see if she had his attention.
