Staring down at her hand, Altessa looked rather curious as she moved her own fingers, as if dabbling them in a pond. "It feels... homey. Welcome..." Altessa frowned as she drifted off, shaking her head as she remembered the time she had gone to visit where the Jabberwockies lived. She was a different breed. They were pure, she was not.
"You have different feelings. Different personalities. Why?" Her eyes now looked curiously up at Turner.

Very astute children. Both of them. Deciding she liked the two, Turner watched Curry wriggle about, and shrugged a bit.
"He's not originally mine. Of course, he's not his old owner's either. Curry is a real old thing. And I say he, even though Curry's got no gender either. In fact, if he wasn't attached to my body, he could take any shape he'd like."
As if to prove her point, the shadows rearranged, letting Altessa go to form a shadowy form of an actual, beating heart, with 'Altessa' enscribed across it. Snorting, Turner waved a hand through it, dispelling the image and watching the shadows turn back into what sufficed as her appendage again.
"He's a cheeky thing, though. Don't mind him."
Ai'shern felt a brief pang of anger toward the silly shadow, and grumbled a bit, sulking by reopening his nailpolish, and starting on his fingernails, rather than his feet.

"I like him." Altessa had to grin, glancing over to Ai'shern and ruffling his hair lovingly. "Kanthu would like that, too. Not Tiil. The b*****d." Turning, Altessa hunkered until she was crouched, starting to push Ai'shern forward.
"Kanth has her hands full. You could take care of Ai'shern. If you're staying here, anyway. He needs to be more like me." She was teasing, of course, as she liked Ai'shern the way he was. But he still needed a mother, and Sciz hadn't been a very good dad. He always hit on Kanth all the time, when she already had someone, obviously. She just hadn't seen Kanth's 'other' lately.

"... Ah."
Hell, take care of this sweet, strange boy, AND get a free room? Hrm... Plus people that didn't seem to mind Curry. Well, if his sister was here, and his old parents... Didn't seem too hard. Turner grinned as she rewrapped her hand.
"Tiil? OH. He won't have to know, he's unconcious. I sort of... Punched him in the face. Violence is not the answer, by the way... Uh..."
Eyeing the two, she blinked, then laughed.
"Okay. Why not? I could do that. Watch out for Ai'shern."
The basilisk blinked between the two women, for a second not quite understanding what had happened, before... Oh. Another home? No, just another parent... Well, that didn't matter much, and Kanth didn't pay much attention to him. And he didn't like it when Tiil paid attention to him. Turner didn't like him either....
"Yes."
Smiles all around. But who was going to tell Kanth?

Kanth had already heard, leaning against the edge of the stairs as if she had been there all along.
Which she probably had.
"It's fine by me." Kanth smiled at Ai'shern. "I'm sorry I haven't been paying attention. Altessa's a handful, as is Medusa. I figured you would be fine as you're much quieter than her, and you're welcome as long as you would like, Ai'shern."
Kanth glanced up to Turner. "And your pay. Groceries, and tea, that's all I require. The house takes care of itself, after all." She smirked, waving a hand and walking back downstairs. "Tea's on the stove if any of you want it."
Altessa stared after Kanth, a smirk growing on her face. "See?" She smirked fully now. "I don't mean to be trouble. It just happens. And Kanth doesn't care, but she doesn't want me to go about it the wrong way." Oh yes, she remembered the long talk they had about not attacking head on. One could stare and instill fear without touching.
She had practiced that. It was beginning to become a fine art.

"Well, I'm gonna go about picking that room now, then Curry and I are going to have some tea."
Nodding to the two, and having found Kanth's "rent" quite reasonable, the tall, tanned woman strolled down the hallway, peeking into several rooms before making a choice and disappearing into it.
Ai'shern raised an eyebrow at his sister, before wordlessly beginning to paint her nails.

Watching the woman walk off, Altessa thought for a moment before she turned to Ai'shern, mouth open as she saw what he had, and what he was doing.
"DAI!!!" She exclaimed, bristling, but hunkered down and let him do what he wished, though didn't look all that happy with the fact.
Well, at least it was a color she could bear. Staring down at her toes, she wiggled one set of them as they poked through her now worn socks.
Altessa had to grin, despite the situation. She wouldn't have it any other way.
