I never thought I find a child on my family’s properties. Was it a curse…? I was never really good with kids. I could almost remember it as if it were yesterday…
The falling rain from the sky made no attempt to be silent. It wasn’t raining, it was pouring. The scenery seemed to be very depressing. Rein let out a sigh and stared in awe to see her breath appear in the air. It was cold and she was shivering. She clutched tightly onto her black umbrella and attempted to run home as fast as she could. Rein suddenly dropped her umbrella when she heard a very faint cry that echoed through the fields. Somebody was in her family’s property…? This cry poked at her curiosity…she had to find out who or what it was coming from.
Rein dragged her umbrella with her not bothering to put it over her head. She huffed as she grew colder. Her clothes stuck onto her as she became wet. This made the girl annoyed but she seemed very pleased to know that the sound grew louder. The umbrella fell out of Rein’s hands making a splash as it fell onto the grassy floor. There was a small tent by the bush and it was almost similar to a dog house. Rein dropped on her knees and spread apart the covers to reveal what was inside. “Oh…” Rein muttered sadly to find a basket with a child in it.
Rein picked up the little girl and held the child close. This child must be very lonely…the Gaian thought as her warm breath brushed against the crying child. It seemed to have soothed the girl and her crying came down to a whimper. Rein’s hands trailed off to grab her umbrella as she slowly got up. The umbrella was held really close to the child so she would not get wet. “Don’t worry little girl! I’ll keep you safe for the time being!” Rein smiled and then quickly ran back to her house with the child in her arms.
No…It couldn’t have been…it wasn’t a curse. It was destiny…fate…a blessing…I was starting to feel empty if she hadn’t come to be with me…

A white ball of fluff brushed his fur against his mistress' wet leg. "Mreeeowww~" the kitten creature purred begging for some attention. But Rein didn't have time to play with Arata. She was too busy worrying about the child that had been brought home. The kitten blinked a few times before he pounced away looking for his Kochi to play with instead.
The young Gaian only shook her head as she reached for her towel to dry off her dripping blond hair. Rein entrusted the child to Angel while she was busy trying to think. What was she suppose to do with a baby?! The thought of this somehow ticked her off. She had no good parenting skills...she never really was a care taker anyhow! Her bare feet tapped the ground as the towl draped over her neck. Hands on her waste, a confused frown curled on her lips.
Angel rested carefully on the sofa with the child in her arms. "Awwww! Arn't you adorable!" She cooed. She straightened up a little when the baby tried to reach for her hair. "No no! My hair is not a toy!" Angel says firmly but yet it seemed quite gentle as well. She was in awe to have a little child around. It never quite happened before! Not in her life time atleast...
Rein walked over to Angel and plopped herself onto the coach, only a few feet away from the two. "Sooo, I'm tkaing that you're starting to like the little girl...?" She asked and then chuckled. It seemed as if Angel was already starting to bond with the child. That relaxed smile quickly faded when Angel had place the child into her arms. "Wha...?"
Angel only smiled as she slowly got up. "I like the little kid alot. But I think she may like you even more. After all, you were the one that saved her..."
Rein looked down upon the child that was resting in her arms. There was something about this child that made the Gaian slowly have a change of heart. "She is pretty cute...I guess...." She slowly began. She tilted her head side to side. "Well...you'll be staying here for a while now right...? You should get some kind of name..." Rein sighed and closed her eyes. "Names....Names.....Evana....Noo...I don't really like it. Evien. Nahh....Hm....Eva...." Her eyes widdened as she says the last name again. "Eva....! That's right! Eva! From now on, You'll be named Eva!"
The pink haired child seem to be confuse as to what was going on. Finally, there was a big grin that spreaded across her face. She spreaded her arms out to reach for Rein. With a happy squeal, she cried out "Nnnnnn!" There was bright joy in her eyes and that joy had been started to influence Rein.
"Welcome home Eva...Welcome home...."

LOTK SPECIAL EVENT FOR REIN AISHINO!Aww look at Eva, huh oh um will ya look at this she's blowing a bubble awww eh wait a minute she's blowing a bubble out of eh spit.... how uh creative... o.O; Eva giggled as she continued to blow more bubbles from her mouth. As soon as one bubble had popped, another took it's place.
"Hey Eva! That's a pretty neat trick!" Rein exclaimed as she stared in awe. It was obviouse that Rein had no idea where the bubbles were comming from. She clapped her hands a few times as soon as Eva blew yet another bubble.
Seeing as how her "mom" seemed to enjoy the show Eva was putting, she continued to blow until a glob of saliva plopped onto her blanket. The bubbles stopped for a moment. She was leaking her bubble source!
Rein paused as soon as Eva had stopped blowing her bubbles, it finally struct her mind. "Oh...Spit bubbles..." She muttered and sweated slightly. Spit bubbles were usually common with babies...at least to her it was! She used to bloe a lot of spit bubbles when she was a kid. But Rein clapped her hands anyway. It was one of the first things that actually seemed pretty fun. Eva definately deserved praise for that.
Feeling proud as Eva was being priased, the baby clapped her hands with glee. But with such excitment, she was constantly rocking back and fourth almost falling backwards. She could feel Rein's soft warm hands support her. Eva felt more comfortable with no worries at all.
"Good job, Eva..." Rein mummered seeing another bubble being blown.

Dear Journal,
So it's been a few days since Eva came to join our really crazy family. For the first day and a half, Eva seemed really quiet. I mean...she doesn't really say much of a word at all. I assume it is because she was trying to get use her new home. It only took half of the second day for her to start gigglinbg and squealing.
While I was carrying Eva and maiking funny faces ((you know...like in the tv shows where most parents would do that?)), she reached over to pat my face. I would have stopped if I realized what she had really wanted to do. Both soft hands began patting me on the face before she bagan to pull them to the opposite direction. It felt funny at first...but then the further she stretched, it began to hurt. I wanted to cry out but I didn't have the heart to want to scare the girl.
It only took a few minutes until Angel had returned from where ever she had gone. I assumed it had to do with groceries since she had a brown paper bag in her arms. She quickly dropped the bag seeing atht I was in trouble and rushed to my aid. It only took several minutes until the child finally letted go.
I was left with two really reddish marks on my cheeks. The more I touched it, the more it hurt. I should watch out for that in the future...I have to make note of that.
Angel and I went through several rooms to find the best one for Eva...one that was cloests to our room so we would be there to aid her when needed. Finally, we picked a room that was painted with a light shade of blue. I decided to cover the room with bubble printed wall paper. I think it suit her the best.
I've decided to let Eva sleep in my room for a few more days until everything was moved into her new room. We made sure that the window was sealed shut until the future. We feared something bad would happen to the girl if the window was opened. We made sure there was an air vent so she wouldn't suffacate.
Angel insisted on letting the girl sleep in her room. The healer really seemed to enjoy Eva's company. I couldn't refuse. So for the night, she'd sleep in her room. Then the next few days, it would be mine. Ever since Eva had arrived, everyone except Manni and Arata were busy. Packing up stuff and then unpacking. It is so much work to be done. I knew taking care of a child was hard but I never expected this. I'm only 16 and responsibility like this seemed so hard. I wonder if by the time Eva is an adult, I'll still have the energy...But to be honest, I am excited about this new responsibility as well. It'll work out...everything will work out...
I just hope so...

Dear Journal,
More days pass by since the day Eva had come to live with us. I still can't get use to taking care of the girl by myself though. Just my luck, Angel had gone off to do something. I thought I would be doomed since I still need her help. I have mentioned that I have no parenting or baby sitting skills what-so-ever. You'd think it'd be sad...but it really is true.
I think my ears are currently bleeding from all the sreaming and crying Eva has been doing today. Ohh...My ears!!! Most of the time, I really have no idea why she is crying about. But it seems to be a regular daily routine now. She cries in the morning which means a daiper change. Then after an hour she would cry menaing it is feeding time. She would then cry in the afternoon and it would be time to eat some more. An hour or two later, she'd signal me once again meaning it is time to change daipers. Same routine goes for night time with dinner. But really bugs me would be the midnight daiper changes. I don't get much sleep that i would really like...oh dear...
All of Eva's things have been transfered into her room at last but she hasn't moved in there. The room still feels empty since all she has in that room of her's is a crib. How dull...But luckily Idid went to order something special for her. It hasn't arrived yet but that's okay. it'll be a really lovely surprise~ I'm sure she'll love them because I found them to be oh so very adorable!
Until next time heart ~

Kuro was curled up on his usual spot ontop of the bookshelf. His right paw swiped away some dust that his napping area was collecting. The feko yawned and scratched behind his ears, preparing to go to bed. Just as he was going to sleep, a loud banging on the door was heard. His ears twitched and then looked around wondering if Angel or Rein was around. Usually, he would just go back to bed, but that constant banging wouldn't seem to let him. Being agile as he was, Kuro leaped down onto the foor and landed on his feet. Slowly walking over to the door, he stepped on his hind legs in attempt to turn the knob. The only problem was, he was too short.
The banging continued and ceased to stop. Finally, Rein came out with Eva who was wrapped in towels. "I'm comming!" She called out trying not to drop the Royal who was snuggled in her arms. Kuro stepped away as Rein turned the door knob. "Helloooo, Aishino residence. Do you have any business here...?"
Keiko stood outside, panting and gasping for breath. There was a bundle in her arms and she kept it very close to her. “Rein, you idiot! We could have freeze to death!” the priestess called out bitterly. She quickly ran into the warm house and sat in the sofa. Her hands were constantly rubbing against the bundle she was holding.
Rein blinked wondering what in the word Keiko was talking about. In fact, she was confused at the part when Keiko said ‘We’. Rein had known Keiko always lived alone. How odd…Rein thought. She clears her throat and says, “Uh…we…?” Rein raised a brow and gave Keiko a weird look. Has her “sister” finally lost it?
Keiko looked up at Rein and then sighed. “Oh sorry, I didn’t tell you about it yet. That’s why I’m here right now…” She muttered still shaking from standing in the cold before. She gingerly unwrap the bundle to reveal what was inside, a baby dragon. “Rein, it isn’t an ordinary dragon. She has hair and has structure of a human…” Keiko muttered as she petted the sleeping dragon girl. “I found her not too long ago…I had a nightmare saying that this would come to me soon and it did. Rein, I’m REALLY freaked out right now…” The priestess covered up the bundle, leaving some space for air.
Rein blinked once or twice as she looked down at Eva who was gently yanking at her hair. “So what…Do you plan on keeping her then…? She does look sweet…and it would be wrong to just leave her out in the cold again…” Rein muttered as her eyes locked onto the bundle.
Keiko paused for a moment. “For once, you are actually making sense…” Keiko smiled and then nodded. “Yeah, I’ll be keeping her. If I didn’t I would have named Haruhi yet. You know, as soon as you give a thing a name, it would be hard to let it go…” The priestess let out a laugh. “So I guess I was worried for nothing!”
Rein returned the smile and then looked out the window. “It sure is cold. Maybe you two should stay over for the night…” she offered. “While we are here, Eva and Haruhi can get….acquainted?” Her eyes slowly trailed back down to Eva who had already fallen asleep. “Hm…I guess not…” Rein chuckled.
Keiko smiled and then nodded. “Yeah, I think it is for the best if I stay over tonight. I didn’t drive, I walked…” Keiko muttered and then sighed. “I’ll be taking my usual room and Haruhi will stay with me…” Her voice faded as she ventured up stairs.
Rein stared at Keiko for a long while before she shrugged. “Keiko living with something…? That is surely something…” She whispered to herself before following.

10/24/06
It's strange to find a present suddenly appear. There was also an invitation to go to a Halloween Party on Friday. The candy bag was cute but I doubt Eva is old enough to actually eat sweets such as candy...I'd probably eat everything as embarressing as it is to admit such a crime...Of course the note also stated there must be costume...
As a before hand preperation, I bought a light blue frilly dress that shines and sparkles. The center of the dress holds a white rhimestone as an imitation for diamonds. Plastic blue fairy wings are attached to the back. They are strong and have a rough sandpaper like feel due to the heavy glitter. This may not seem original but I have wanted to dress my royal up as a little fairy.
As for my costume, I'm dressing up in dark black clothings. I guess I'll be dressed up as a vampire. Wear a nice cloak, fake teeth, the makeup, all the works. Haha, I'm some original person. The only downside to dressing up as a vampire is the fact I might possible drool...alot because of the teeth...DARN TEETH! I've only got Eva's costume by far. I have to hurry and get my costume ready. Ohh...what is a guardian to do at a time like this!!!

10/31/06 (Late entry)
Eva and I only stayed in the Halloween party for long. But we did meet quite a bunch of other royals and guardians. We didn't get the chance to interact with them because we left a little early. However, in order not to make Eva's first Halloween the dullest, we did our own trick or treating (even though that was short too!).
I still believe we had fun on Halloween though. I hated to mention it but Halloween was never my favorite holiday until recently. As a child, the masks frightened me to death (not literally...). But unlike me, Eva seemed to enjoy Halloween even as a baby! I wished I could be a little like Eva at least...not being a cry baby on one of the funnest holidays ever!
Although as soon as we got home, Eva was asleep in my arms. It seemed our very own Halloween event seemed to tired out the poor girl. I had Angel help me safely tuck Eva in her bed. But I didn't think we needed to be so quiet. We've realized Eva can be a heavy sleeper. Perhaps she caught that from me? I can never wake up unless somebody jumped on top of me or they shoved the alarm clock right next to my ear. I guess it just means we like to sleep!
But now that Halloween is over, it's time to move on to the next holiday, Thanksgiving!
Ahh Eating and sleeping...one of my two favorite things in my life!

Rein was busy flipping through another chapter of the manga Gravitation. There were some loud embarressed girly giggles that escaped her lips which was very odd. She jumped off her chair and the manga fell on the floor with a thud. "That sound...from Eva's room?!" Rein quickly ran up the stairs and into Eva's nursery. "EVA! EVA! MOMMY'S COMMING!" she yelled out almost tripping on the stairs.
She started to slow down upon hearing a little girl's giggle that sounded just like Eva's. "Eva dear...are you alright...?" Rein asked slowly opening the door.

((That's okay heart *huggles Eva*))
Rein blinked once or twice before rubbing her eyes. She opened her eyes again and saw that the girl that stood before her really was Eva. Rein quickly ran up towards the Royal and gave her a big hug. "You grew up without me knowing it, huh?"
"Yes Mommy!" Eva replied.
Rein petted Eva on the head and laughed. She quickly took ahold of Eva's hand. "Come on, let's take you downstairs. I have to call some people and tell Angel about it!"
Eva giggled as her grasp on her mother's hand tightened. "Okie dokie~"

Dear Journal,
Time is passing by so quickly. My little girl, Eva, became a toddler. She looks even more pretty than before. I'm in awe to see her grow so big. Of course, I had to call Kumiko and Keiko about it. The two came for a visit and I showed both of them and Angel how Eva looked now. There were so many "Awww"s. It seems Eva has become really shy and started to hide behind me or Angel. I wonder how this will affect her ability of gainning friends...
I also had Eva signed up to go to school. I feel that this would be a good oppurtunity for my little girl to learn and make friends (although it's not required). She doesn't seem to like the idea of leaving my side for half the day but I'm sure she'll get used to it.
I also have to remodel her room a little bit. I should take the bars off her crib and add a matress and take away some stuff that may seem a little "baby-ish" for her now. So much to do...I need Angel's help!
