Aislinn blinked at the abrupt change in topic, but shrugged and watched the video, "Brian would be happy to know that!" She grinned, "Oh! That reminds me. What do you think about the idea of me setting up my own sort of veterinary practice here? Y'know, for colds and stuff. I know a lot of people won't know what to expect with changing physiology and all, so Brian-- if you don't know him, he's a wildlife expert-- he said he'd help and we could sort of let everyone know a bit of what they're in for."

Brian? Never heard of him, but Aislinn spoke about him with such fondness and enthusiasm, so he must be an okay fella.
"A veterinary practice? Well, it'd be a bit more appropriate wouldn't it?" he smiled. "Sounds like a good idea to me. Have you got somewhere to do it? Its a shame you can't take over the medical centre in the village centre."
He was half-looking at Aislinn, now thoroughly ensconced in his filming abilities as he replayed his afternoon's adventure and watched it for Oscar winning value.

She shook her head, "I still have to talk to the staff about it or something, but I hope I can convince them to let me do something. It's better than sitting about day after day twiddling my thumbs. It'd be nice if I could finish my schooling, but I'm not sure -that's- possible."
Her tone was more than a little bitter, but it softened quickly enough, "What else did you film?" She peered over at the camera again, watching the images go by.

"Yeah...I dunno what to think of the staff yet," he said, with an equally bitter tone, wrinkling his nose in a show of distaste. "They're total sods for doing this to people, but then supposedly cater to our every whim and request."
He shrugged his expansive shoulders, eyes still fixed on his LCD screen. It was true, the days were filled with just wandering around, meeting more Islanders and just trying to pass the day away without pissing someone off or getting eaten. In a place that was 'inescapable' you really didn't want enemies.
"It couldn't hurt to ask them, could it? I know what you mean about being bored though," he shook his head slightly. "Oh, this? I've only started using it today. I was supposed to document my 'detox' but thats not gonna happen."

"Not 'detox'ing afterall?" she grinned. Finally, she decided to settle on a nearby patch of grass. Really, holding herself up after all that walking was getting to be a bit much, and hey, if they were chatting anyhow, she might as well be comfortable.
"Or just not video taping it? It's cool, though. You should video tape more. A little while and they'll be like home movies."

"I'm giving up the detox. I don't see a point really. Whatever I turn into might be intolerate of alcohol, so I can quit anyways, but until then...I'm gonna need a drink to get me through this s**t," he said, rather bleakly.
He'd already succumbed to whisky a few weeks ago, and had since been going back to the beach bar to top himself up with the odd lager or beer. It wasn't anything compared to his previous habit, but it was a step in the wrong direction. However, it was another weight that had been lifted from him. Since this place had been revealed, it meant he wouldn't have to tip-toe around drink or feel nervous about how other people perceived him. Almost a slight liberation.
"Yeah. Maybe if I take video evidence of this place, I can send it in a bottle and see if anyone will come rescue us," he chuckled, half-heartedly. "Fancy a go?"

She shook her head, "Oh, I don't know about that. I think this place is probably too well guarded for the message in a bottle approach," she sighed, "And really, the way we look, do we want to go back home anyhow? I mean, we'd be labeled as freaks, become science projects for the government, all that jazz, I'm sure."
She would hate to see the look on Lise's face if she ever saw the hair on her legs. And even the ears would be a bit weird to pass off. Plus, what if she kept -changing- even though they were off the island? And turned into a full-out horse?
She shivered, "It'd be weird, to say the least."

Aislinn made a good point, and Oz hated to admit that going back now, in this state with his DNA meshed with that of an animals, would make him equally as valuable to the science community in a 'civilised' world.
"Do you fancy a go with the camcorder?" he offered, holding the delicate piece of technology in a large grubby hand.

Aislinn shook her head, waving her hands in a 'no' expression, "I couldn't trust myself with one," she grinned, "I'm a horrible klutz when it comes to technology so often."
She was definitely more of a naturalistic person than a technological one, though she did love her Playstation for the few games she could be bothered with and Karaoke time.
"But, I think you should keep up with it. It'll give you something to do anyhow, right?"
She looked out over the river, "Fancy a dip?" she grinned, untying the rainbow laces of her boots and taking them off as quickly as possible.

"Awww, if I can useit, surely you'll be fine," he tried to reassure her. "Well, if you ever want to borrow it, you know where I am."
He sighed heavily, emphasised by the great girth his torso now exhibited. He looked at Aislinn as she made her suggestion, closing the LCD screen and bundling the camera into its protective carry bag. A cheeky smirk spread across his face.
"Make it a skinny dip, and I'm in," he said jokingly. He was surprised he was still making all these innuendo jokes, considering his uncomfortableness with his night with Antony.
"I'm definitely up for a swim if its cool, I can't get used to this damn weather."

"It should be, I think," she grinned, tugging off her shorts to reveal the rainbow bikini beneath, "And really, we -could- skinny dip, though I came prepared."
She pulled off her t-shirt and stood up to hobble into the river, "Let's see how cold it is, mm?"

"Well, I should have known," he said, rolling his eyes at that familiar rainbow coloured bikini. "I didn't come prepared, so you'll just have to forgive me this one time and accept my over-sized and embarrassingly decorated boxer shorts instead."
Oz felt that little twitch inside as he watched Aislinn undress, telling him that at least it wasn't just furry or scaly women he went for. He was almost starting to wonder if the injections that induced the changes altered his mind too. He stood up, feeling the felled log groan beneath him as if to sigh in relief. With typical male clumsiness, he undressed down to his heart-emblazoned boxer shorts and walked over to the river's edge.
"Ladies first?" he teased, leaning over the edge slightly to gaze down at the flowing water.
His expanded musclature was more pronounced than when he was sat down, and certainly gave him a more 'ripped' look about his arms and chest. Not his pudgy stomach though.

Aislinn eyed him a moment, making sure to take in all the details of his change. He was still a very attractive man....ah, but Sayuri liked him, and she had other options anyhow. Best not to think like that.
She grinned, testing the water with one foot while holding onto her cane with the other. Swimming was difficult, at best, with her bad leg and such, but the lessening of gravity made things a little easier on her.
She set the cane by the side of the water and climbed carefully in, "It's pretty cool. Not freezing like in California, but not too warm either."

Oh, how Oz was tempted to push her in. Just like the summer holidays, where he'd always lark about with his sister in the hotel swimming pool as his haughty older brother sat in a deck-chair, slathered upto the eyeballs in sun cream and reading a book. But she carefully climbed in, in that typical lady like manner.
"Okay then," he said bluntly, suddenly leaping into the water!

Before the accident, Aislinn would have done something similar. To do that now, though, would've caused her more pain than she cared to think about, and so, ladylike it was.
She let her toes touch the bottom of the section of river they were wading in and grinned. The lack of resistance in her injured areas really did wonders for her self-esteem.
Grinning, she splashed at Oz as soon as he came up, just as he'd drenched her leaping in, "You dork! You've gone and got me all wet!" she teased. As though she really cared. She'd have been swimming about like a fish if she could.
Self-consciously, she attempted to tuck the little bit of a tail she'd formed in her last transformation into her swimsuit bottom..but gave up after a moment figuring it'd just look silly, and let it fall over the top of it.
