Haha I've been a GCD lurker too, confining myself mostly to my guilds and the Q&A forum for my posts. :3 I also absolutely hate feeling like I've somehow managed to kill a thread with my presence. xD~~
But sharing does tend to make one feel very, very nice and fluffy.

I'm generally a GCD and Art Subforum lurker and it's always feel all nice and warm inside when I donate something. I seldom post once in a while and I really like the thread, I'll stay there for a while and chat. I also like giving away art freebies as well. And I guess that's why I'm here. :3

I'm usually popping in and out here and there -- I'm most at home in the GD, GCD and the Manga subforum of A/M/C. :3; I'm also big on fishing and slots, though I always lose!
And I'm here because of the lot of these awesome people here gave me a little leg up on my quest (which I guess I'm on NOW, I've been saving up like crazy and am up to 40k/62k+!) <3 But trust me, it made my day when I gave out my spare sealed letters and I saw the overjoyed responses I got. Way to make a girl feel mushy, guys. XD

I myself am a lurker in the GCD. I very rarely post but the thread was a very happy one and I didn't feel afraid to post. sweatdrop I donated to quite a few people so umm I guess that is what I am doing here

3nodding I am a GCD lurker as well. I found the thread and read for awhile. It showed me not everyone on Gaia was greedy so I decided I'd get in on the fun. First it was the tickets and tokens I'd accumulated over the past few months. After that I began helping people with quests, selling things for more gold until I was left with event items. sweatdrop But it felt good, especially when people completed those quests.
I never expected to receive a donation myself, but was blown away when I did. And now I'm here. The end. whee

I went into the original "....faint" thread and called all those people who got donated Winged Anklets Lucky bastards xD Then chatted with all the people there and started getting flooded with donations xD That's what I'm doing here.

Yea, I usually lurk too. After I found the tread I donated all my gold (Even if it was only 6000) to people in this thread (and the other gift giving one). It felt so good. I don't have much to give right now... Most of my items are on a mule.

i have not much visted teh GCD,but...
I am a helpless noob, frequently falling prey to the hazards of gaia (not chain letters though. anyone sends me those and i WILL report you!) and in my born-yesterday existance, no one has ever donated to me. Untill the other day. I posted a comment about how my cookies are frequently stolen, and some pleasant soul gave me an ice cream sundae. It was very 'sweet'.
But this morning I open my trades to find that my very own dear sister, and gaia pusher extrodinair, has given me the first thing i ever REALLY wanted...a nightmare parasol.
Being an impatient sort of person, with limited time, i hadn't been able to save up nearly enough gold for this delightful item. But I wanted it sooooooo badly, becasue a comic book character I created carries a black parasol. It was so sweet of her, my little fairy goth mother...

I was in the event forum for this Christmas. I saw a link in someones sig. I couldn't oversome my curiosity and clicked. Before my guilds became my home I was a GCDer and the first thing I noticed was that the GCD was where this came from. It made me nostlagic and I read on. It seemed like such a nice place. A place to give and recieve. I wanted to join. So I made a request and it was accepted.
