"Staying out of the way." Ankita said half jokingly. Though she did personally see that as her job. She couldn't really help with anything very important like moving things around or anything to that nature. "Or fortune telling. Take your pick." she said, laughing quietly.

"Ooh, fortune telling!" Grete said, now completely enthusiastic, "I've always been interested in that. So, what all do you do? Can you do?" Grete wasn't exactly sure what term was right to use in this instance, so, she just said both. Just on the safe side.

She glanced down at Sarava, just to make sure that Grete wasn't annoying her, and changed where she was petting her, and continued to pet softly behind her ear.

Ankita began wrapping her arms around herself, holding into her Sari. "Tarots... and palmistry... tea leaves and chicken bones." Her voice began to get more quiet. Sarava sensed her familiar's discomfort and quickly crawled over to the bed, climbing up and setting herself in her lap. "Sarava's my little helper." she said, rubbing under her chin gently.

Grete jumped slightly at Saravah's sudden leave. She frowned at bit, and turned back to Ankita. She had the distinct feeling that she had done something wrong, and she felt really bad about it.

"Oh...okay," Grete said, sounding a bit conflicted. She had come here to make new friends, and she was sure that she was failing miserably.

"I'm sure that Sarava does a good job of helping you," Grete said, putting a smile back on her face, "I, uh... I'm a medium." Grete added softly. She wasn't sure why she said it, but she figured that perhaps if the conversation wasn't aimed at Ankita, then she'd feel more comfortable.

"A Medium?" Ankita cocked her head. She'd met many mediums before, but for the most part they were fake and had no real knowledge of what they were doing. For the most part, they all seemed to be dependant on making big shows about it rather than actually proving they speak to the dead. Perhaps Grete was different?

"Are you any good?"

"Well, okay, that's just it," Grete said. This had been bothering her, and she figured she'd better tell someone. Especially someone who might have a little knowledge on the subject. After what happened when Grete last saw Maxem, she wasn't quite sure what to think.

"I was a total fake," Grete began, as she looked around nervously, "But lately, I've been seeing things. And... and hearing things. I'm not lying, I swear." Grete sighed. She was near positive that Ankita wouldn't believe her. She was near positive that no one would believe her.

"And I... I don't know what's happening," There was a small note of fear in Grete's voice at this point.

Ankita raised her eyebrow.

"Sounds like you're crazy." a playful grin slowly began to appear on her face. She tried to hold in any giggles that wanted to creep out because she could feel how self-conscious Grete was beginning to feel about the subject. "Or... maybe now all that faking is starting to teach you something?" She shrugged.

She could empathise with her, it was part of the reason why she avoided doing palmistry. For a little while now, the act was accompanied by massive headaches and sudden flashes of images before her own eyes which she could only presume to be the actual future. Though, she was not one for sharing this, as Grete was.

"What kind of things are you seeing, exactly?"

Grete laughed at Ankita's joke, and then returned to being slightly serious.

"People," She exlpained, "But... they're not really there. Or they just look... horrible. And," Grete couldn't find the words to express this. They just were. Grete fidgeted slightly, not knowing how Ankita was going to react to all this.

She was nervous, yes. Extremely nervous, actually. Grete had even wished that she hadn't let this little piece of information out. She opened her mouth to add something, but then closed it again.

"Do you think... that it's my fault?"

Ankita shook her head.

"You're not doing anything bad. And well, it doesn't sound like you're even doing anything. If they're appearing to you then they must be appearing for a reason." She paused for a moment, petting Sarava who had long gone to sleep under the gentle strokes. "Maybe. Maybe next time you see one you should try talking to it?" She shrugged again. "Maybe they hold the answer you're looking for."

Grete looked down at her hands. It was a nervous habit for her, and she then looked up, and just started to nod her head.

"Yeah," She said, "I guess that's a good point. I'll try that. Thanks." Grete then noticed Sarava, all curled up and asleep.

"Aww," She mummbled.

"Thanks. Again. I just. I don't know, it's weird," Grete looked around once more, and found an opportunity to change the subject, "You know, I really like your trailer. Mine could never look even half as nice as this. Mine's a complete and total mess."

Ankita smiled softly, "Just remember, you are a Medium. That's what they do."

Ankita had no real idea of what her trailer looked like. For the most part, her Saris were hung haphazardly to make them easier to get to, and what bells and chimes she hung up were placed in spots she simply felt like putting them. Apparently her impulses must be doing her some good.

"Thank you." She smiled, and bowed her head slightly. "I'm sure you could make yours look amazing if you wanted. I didn't really put much effort into mine."

"Ha. I guess I should get used to what being a medium is really like," Grete smiled and looked back at Ankita.

"Well, see, I tried making mine look all nice once, but then I got it cluttered. So, now it's impossible to tell that it ever did look nice," Grete smiled, and stretched slightly, while taking in all of the colors.

"It looks like you and Sarava live quite well. And like you both look out for each other. That's a good thing to have."

Ankita nodded. "She's my little seeing guard ..dog. aye-aye. animal. thing." She laughed quietly, but then out of impulse, began to shake Sarava to annoy her. Which, of course, she succeeded in doing. Sarava quickly looked up with a look of horror on her face, expecting to have seen Hell itself, but rather, looked up to discover her familiar.

Then Grete figured it out. She felt stupid and horrible for not realizing it earlier. Seeing Guard dogs were used by the blind, as a guide. So, that must mean that Ankita was blind. Grete wasn't sure if she should ask if she could help with anything or not.

She decided not to ask. Ankita probably hears the same thing from every person. Not to mention it would be a weird thing to be asked. It would probably make one uncomfortable after a while.

So, Grete stayed silent for a moment, and only coughed lightly.

"So...where do aye-ayes come from?" She asked, to break the small silence.

A quite snort came from Ankita during the silence. She'd encountered so many people by this point that she really found it quite humorous when they discovered that she was blind. But rather than poke fun at it, she simply welcomed the subject change.

"They come from momma aye-ayes." She grinned.

Sarava simply looked away, You're not as witty as you think.
