He'd been "nice" so far, but her next statement seemed to rub him the wrong way, which was very apparent by the way he spun back to look at her "He's not your best friend." Simon snapped, sounding as though he'd suddenlly turned back into the same age she was. It really wasn't her fault, she'd just happend to say that at a bad time, right when Simon was feeling like he'd betrayed Nero she seemed to have jumped in and kidnaped him! Or atleast that was the intial responce.
Logic then caught up with him, noting that a.she was a toddler, and b.you could have more than one best friend... So, stiffening, he tried to shake it off, play it cool. He continued on into the room, though still carrying ia distinct grumpy expression. First for the idea of losing his best friend, and secondly for the fact he'd just totally blew all his coolness... Thank God she was just some weird kid and not one of the guys.
The gruff man gave a shrug "Yah sure, if it's okay with you?" he glanced to the shark boy, still seeming not to notice any differences between them and regular humans. Afterall... Working for a tattoo shop in gaia left you with all sorts of demons and crap wandering in to get the same. A shark and praying mantis were nothing.
Simon, however, wasn't all too pleased with this idea. "No." He huffed, settling into the chair, pausing to tell the man wher ehe wanted the tatoo, then lay on his stomach. His back had been the most reasonable choice, right up against the dorsal fin.. It looked cool, and his back was one of the toughest spots on him. Anywhere else would have hurt too much for "mr.cool" to bear. His shoulders and neck were far too extra sensitive, and his stomach was his weak spot, and ofcourse there were other places he didn't even dream of wanting a tattoo on. That left his back, wrists, and ankles. Wrists and ankles were just the pansyway out. Yes, the unwriten book of cool, Simon knew it better than any cirruculum he could ever have heard. "I told you to leave me alone, and even if I did let you stay you'd probably start crying for your mommy anyways."

Her wings fluttered at his angry tone, she can't say she hadn't been frightened at his sudden viloence, but is wouldn't scare her away, her side legs had reacted on instinct reared back as if ready to stab, she forced them to lower and puffed out a cheek angrily. NO Nero was HER best friend.
No bully like this guy could ever understand. Perhaps if she was older, she would of caught on that this guy...was probably very defensive about the subject, perhaps she would of caught on the hurt that he felt inside. But alas she was only a kid.
"Pwove it." she spat, "we dwug hwols togever." she stated it as point of matter of fact and just by digging holes meant they had to be best friends.
When she was told to go away she looked downright angry. It took a lot to make her angry, annoyed sure but angry? Oh boy.
"Nwo..I wonts leave you awane twill you pwove to me why Newo isn't mwa bwest fwiend!" she stated her antenna twitching, her side arms threatening to rear again and her general boyd language read, I will attack you if you refuse to answer.

Simon frowned, getting burried deeper and deeper into immaturity. What would a kid know about being a best friend anyways? Perhas, if Simon was nicer, and had more tact, he would give her some slack. There was no harm in Nero being nice to a little girl afterall... But Simon wasn't nice, he was self centered, and she was messing with his self right now.
"He spends the night at my house, I've known him since we were little kids, and he's my age not yours." Simon argued right back, though his argument held as little merit as hers had. He probably knew that Nero wouldn't pick a best friend on those things, which was possibly why he was getting so defencive about it.
The worker looked between the two as they started in some nonsensical dispute... "Alright, hold still... and you heard the man, you can't stay if he don't want ya to." Though he wasn't sure if he really should kick her out the way they were acting. "You two siblings?" he couldn't help but ask as he started in on the tatooing process.

Puffing out her cheeks Zyanya couldn't help but feel a bit defeated, it seemed that Simon had some real answers to her questions. Senario's that would prove that him and Nero were at least friends. She couldn't say that Nero had stayed at her house, he was older than her, but wat did that matter!? She had fun with him!
Sticking out her tongue at Simon she turned away as the tattoo guy told her she had to leave.
"My bwathaer is a Newt! Nwot a weirds fwish!" She spat at the question, her glare comeing from over her shoulder as she looked back at them. Antenna twitching as she did so, she stuck her tongue out again. Not..very mature, but then again she was only four years old.
"Newo is my fwiend." she repeated as if now trying to disregard Simon's senority on the friendship. She moved away and then went back to teh scorpian tattoo she had seen on the wall, her little hands traced the outline of the drawing longingly. "My fwiend..."

Simon frowned at her retreat, even if he had won he was still feeling grumpy on the whole matter. "And my sisters a sweet little girl, not a huffy little mutant." He snorted, just to return an insult to the one he was given, and forgetting he was far more huffy and mutant than she.
"Okay okay," The gruff man held his hands up in a defensive posture, deciding not to question the situation any further.
Simon then turned away, ignoring her, with a frown etched into his face. "Hurry up, woul-" he abruptly cut off as the tattoo man started his buisness. Now it was time for utter silence with the process of tattooing, you make any noise and it doesn't count afterall...
