Darkness Is My Life's Blood Perhaps not a caln..but maybe ranks assigned to people for their loyalty and activity? and maybe certain responsibilities to that rank? like the military? Light Is My Deaths Curse

Break it down into "families"? First Family has a Red color scheme. Second Family has a Green Color scheme. The Third Family has Blue Color scheme.

ya clans within the guild sound like an awsome idea but what would determain the clans and how would you accept or decline people

Darkness Is My Life's Blood Basically I think Cirala is saying this, instead of being a discussion group OF the battle system, an Idea in which info is scarce, we should reform to a guild with clans, then each clan have its own discussions and such, and as for how the clans are divided, it could be random, or planned through join date in the guild, or so many other ways. The Vampire Ruler Darkness Is My Life's Blood Basically I think Cirala is saying this, instead of being a discussion group OF the battle system, an Idea in which info is scarce, we should reform to a guild with clans, then each clan have its own discussions and such, and as for how the clans are divided, it could be random, or planned through join date in the guild, or so many other ways. That way the majority of that particular clans members will be online at the same time because those indivituals are normaly on at the same time. Though we all have different time zones we could just match up with Gaias Standard Time.
And since its night and day twice on Gaia that gives us four groupings. Perhaps we could even name the Clans for each time frame of day it is on Gaia.
Like the "Luna Clan": 6pm to 4am,
the "Apollo Clan": 6am to 4pm,
and the second round could go as
"Juno Clan": 6pm to 4am,
and the "Aurora Clan": 6am to 4pm.
Just an idea! Perhaps it could be added on too, or use differently.

They were a group devoted to the finding and protecting of the Key of the Twilight, and ultimately reawakened Aura, the omnipotent being of The World, before becoming the Twilight Guardians. The clan disbanded after one of their members died fighting the Azure Wave, and fell into a coma 3nodding But I dislike the concept of Time-Zone clans. And I don't like the ideas of clans being divided by their clothing or skills. What use is a clan of melee fighters against a ranged/magic clan? The idea of a clan is a diverse bunch of characters that form regular parties that well compliment each other. Like in World of Warcraft, you don't join an All Ranger clan and charge Onyxia. You join the clan with the healing Priest, the Warriors, and Mages that have a diverse set of skills that make them more likely to not get toasted. If we do this "clan" deal, it should be decided if the clans will be RP or actual gameplay. If it's story based, or RP, then the clans can be divided up for plot factor. If it's gameplay, then people should just join clans that best compliment their abilities.

So would it be more like a team consisting of at least one of each kind of class alloying your abilities to cover for another or for what other team members are lacking in that area. Well... it sorta depends. It's good to have balanced clans with one of everything, but it's also good to have clans that are good at only a few different things. It depends on how the Battle System works out. Liiiiike, in some other Online Games, there are clans that are especially put together to fight a certain boss monster for its drop items exp. My favourite example is still Onyxia from World of Warcraft. Clan's built to fight Onyxia don't have one of everything, because then their abilities are too diverse and not focused enough. When fighting Onyxia, rangers and other light armour wearing classes would be useless because they'd get toasted in the first five minutes. So the clans should be diverse to serve their desired purpose, but be focused so they can accomplish their goal. Uhhh... Sorta complicated, but balancing a clan just right is part of the fun ^^
