Valora was awoken by a warm blast of air. When she opened her eyes she found a horse muzzle 5 inches from her face. While some might have panicked, Valora simply smiled. "Hello beautiful," she said to the horse. She glanced over and saw a girl on the ground near by. Valora said, "is it you two that I owe my thanks to?"

"What?" Adrina said. "Good, your awake."
"Yes" Salanoir replied, prancing with the excitement of meeting a Fighter. "Mistress and I"
"What the heck is wrong with you, Salanoir" Adrina stroaked her mare on the neck. "You are battle-trained, relax"

Valora grinned. "Your horse is fine. It just isn't that often that an animal is able to understand what a human is saying, and the human is able to understand them back. Would that be correct, Salinor?"

Salanoir whinnied. "Tell Mistress that you will not hurt me"
"Ahh, I forgot to introduce myself" Adrina said with a mock bow. "I am Adrina, Fire Mage. Might I ask who you are?"

Valora spung to her feet with a complex acrobatics display, and anounced with mock grandure, "I am Valora, a fighter!" She then gave a display of her abilities, fighting and acrobatics.

"Show off" adrina muttered under her breath, but couldn't hide her awe of Valora, who seemed no older than her.

Valora was almost finnished when she caught sight of the river again. Her body froze up, and she crashed to the ground, shivering.

"what is wrong with you?" Adrina asked, mounting Salanoir. "I was a pleasure to meet you, but I really must be on my way." She started riding Salanoir forward. she didn't know why she was leaving so soon, but the reaction seemed right. "I hope you are all right. if you want, you can join my quest." Adrina realized that the churning waves of the river made her nervos, water being the oppisite of fire.

Valora sat there shivering and dumbstruck. She had thought she had found a companion, and now she had driven them away. A shadow fell over her, and her breath hitched when a blade was pressed to her throat. A male voice hissed in her ear, "Thought you could get away, nature witch?" Valora's stomach sank. The knights had found her. And Adrina was over a mile away...

Adrina felt terribal, leaving the girl, Valora, alone. As she rode, she decided that she should return and be nicer, but ever since her last friendship, she found it hard to be nice. Coming to a decision, Adrina turned Salanoir and galloped back to the riverside.
Adrina arived to find sevral Knights by Valora. "Stand back" She warned. "I am Adrina, all yeald to my power." She summoned up a large fireball. "Do you want to be dead, then by all means, contine to harm this innocent girl"

Valora tried to be as still as posible, so as not to draw attention to herself.
"Inocent?" the man said, "A nature witch is hardly innocent." As to emphasize his point, he pressed his blade harder to Valora's throat, drawing blood. "One move girly, and she's dead."

"I don't think you are in a possition to thretten me" Adrina threw the fire ball, killing the nearest Knight. "You can't even touch Valora" The dagger turned to flames in the Knight's hand.

The man howling in agony, Valora whirled around and struck him squarely in the groin. He collapsed to the ground, whimpering, and Valora began fighting with the other knights. One particularly skilled knight forced her to the river bank. He seemed to be defeated when he suddenly barreled into her. With a scream Valora plunged into the river and was dragged away by the vicious current.

Adrina remembered her master always saying that she fought like a demon. She recalled the war-magery spells she had learned and dismounted. She took out her short sword, which erupted with flames, and slashed the Knight who came at her.
They were out numbered, that was for sure, and Adrina realized the only way to win would be by trickery-aided magic. She decided to do it the easy was, by the way with the worst consiquinces(sp).
She raised her hands to the sun and pionted at each Knight in turn, blasting them with fire. Valora was holding her own well, and when Adrina was neerly done disposing of the Knights, she heard a yell and a splash.
Moments later, she realized what had happened.

When Valora first began to fall in the river, she thought it would be living her nightmare. But strangely, it wasn't. For one thing, there was no debris, and secondly, the water was perfectly and utterly clear. Magery, she thought, And a powerful one at that. Her thoughts were interupted by a pair of horsey teeth bitting her breast band, and pulling her out of the water.
