Rachel was surprised at his sudden change of subject, but found she liked it better than the abusive manner of speaking he had used previously, even if the topic wasn't her favorite. She shifted uncomfortably for a moment under his glare, before responding.

"This is my first change...it only happened a few days ago...and supposedly I'm turning into an Orca...Killer Whale..."

"Again with the 'my lake' thing," Rachel said, frowning. "I happen to know there is at least one more water islander that's far along. You gonna tell her to get out when she comes to the water too? And I'd like to see you try..." she said in response to the drowining comment. She was becoming less and less willing to deal with the s**t he was dishing out and didn't really think he'd act on it at this point.

"See, except the difference there is that you would do it knowingly, and on purpose. You seem to keep forgetting that I didn't mean to bother you, or does that not mean anything to you?" Rachel responded, getting more irritated with this strange, angry, purple being. He apparently had no familiarity with the idea that people make mistakes, or "forgive and forget."

"I'll leave when I'm done here. You can't just tell people whether they can or cannot enjoy the only fresh body of water on this damn island." She narrowed her eyes, her expression daring him to do something about it.

His sudden change in skin color startled her. How was he doing that? She backed a few steps away from him, slightly wide-eyed, trying to stay out of the range of the flailing tentacles.

"Who said anything about using more soap!?" she yelled, before taking a deep breath, trying to calm herself. "I'm not planning on 'mucking up' the water any more than you think it is. But I do think I'm allowed to go for a swim, just like anyone else." Her expression had returned to the glare, though it wasn't quite as convincing as before he had changed his skin color. That had definately weirded her out.

Rachel recoiled at the sudden spray of black liquid, small bits of it covering her face and upper body, the remainder of it coloring the water surrounding her. With a groan of disgust, she backed up out of the murky water. Once she was an acceptable distance from the blackness, she ducked under the water, doing her best to get it off of herself, though not entirely succeeding, her new swimsuit stained in a few places from the liquid.

As she came up out of the water, she found her eyes watering slightly and noticed that she couldn't smell the surrounding forest quite as clearly as she had before. Damn octopus man...or whatever he is, Rachel thought bitterly. Seems like he's mucking up his own water far worse than I was...

With a sigh, she headed towards shore, wrapping her towel around herself. Once relatively dry, she started to make her way back to her duplex, as descretely as she could, hoping that she didn't encounter anyone on the way.
