Perilas was very glad he'd had Nibal go back to his office once he heard the gunshots. The tech spotted Alan, but the teacher was ignored. Go figure. The man hesitated, wondering what to do now. The boss had been zoomed across the hallway into another room and Peri was just left with the tech and apparently armed people out in the hallway.
"Uh... what's going on?"
Nibal jumped as the sound of gunshots, three of them, echoed in the stairwell. He was worried for his parent for a while, then heard Peri's voice and sighed with relief. So P'las was still alive. That was good.

Too much was happening at once. For starters, many of the people seemed far too interested in an empty room. Then the gunshots started, and the empty room, not to mention the illusion, was the last thing on Raven's mind.
There were shots! Loud, bad noises from the bad things! Trembling, Anoki ducked down, then reached up and pulled the rearing Myung-Ki down as well. He didn't want his dragon to get hurt by the bad things either, so he sort of draped himself over the wyrmling, his weight causing the two to fall in an ungraceful heap on the floor.
Not one for the duck and cover strategy, Raven muttered a small string of words and drew a semicircle in front of her. A flood of green and gold sparks filled the space, which would hopefully reflect any gunfire back at the shooters. She wasn't particularly skillful with hasty magic applications, so her sloppy shield was far from perfect, and was being fueled by a needlessly large amount of power. If the conflict wasn't over within a few minutes, her energy reserves would be completely tapped.
She was so focused on the shield and the gunshots that she didn't even notice Alan. It was probably for the best; if she had, her shield would have collapsed instantly from the split concentration.

Orpheus gave a bit of a curse as the gunshots rang out, eyes narrowing in anger. These two were just asking for a beating, lucky for them they had guns or else would... do something! He gave a twitch, it would be so nice to bury a fist or two into the faces of that pair of idiots. His thoughts of violence were distracted by Raven's move, a sheild would be his guess from the shape of the device. He slipped forward closer to the magic teacher, looking to Anoki, "Go back to Ligeia and Ter." He murmured to the child. So long as Raven had a sheild up it meant that the boys, all of them and their dragons could get out of harms way right? He would rather they weren't put in anymore danger due to these men.
Ter and Ligeia both were frozen in place, eyes widening as their father did what he was told not to do moving forward towards where Raven and Anoki were at. Ligeia clung tightly to Vorel as the dragon shifted his muscles snarling at the Wyvern and the red, they needed to protect their kids. Get them clear of this danger which mean he and Baroness had to for at least the moment put aside their differences.
(( I can change it if there is anything wrong with my post. From what I gather one can see Raven's sheild hence Orpheus moving. If thats not the case I can repost ))

Empty? Vid's eyes shifted between the room and their "hostages" quickly, not wanting to take his eyes of someone he was holding at gunpoint... But at the same time wanting to stare at said room... And 013. Tricked. Well, that explained why they'd been caught so fast, and that they were now surrounded.
Alan wasn't there, maybe he'd been there, but he wasn't now... All in all, Vid found himself rather peeved, which was immediatly shown with a low hiss in the back of his throat. And as if reading his mind, Colt began to fire shots, Vid reacted with one gun shooting into a holster, free hand grabbing hold of 013's collar, the double thump of bodies regestered in his mind via the vibrations on the floor, but there were more than two...
Then, everything went so fast, a fluid rush of reactions, Raven moved, which immediatly got a shot sent straight at her, which her sheild blocked. He was then spinning back, shoving the 013 infront of him as several shots went flying their way. "Lets get out of here." He noted to Colt, as if he'd really needed to say it, holding the gun out to try and shoot back when the techs peeked around the corner.
Then... Alan. Alan in a wheelchair shot past, he was right there... They could still get him. For a moment, his mind froze. Bad idea. More shots went fling in his direction, snapping him out of the milisecond daze, ducking his head behind his meatsheild. "s**t~" He hissed, a stray bullet shooting through the scale of his lower half. To everyone else, they'd see the bullet dissapere mid floor, and a speck of blood replace it.
They couldn't get Alan... Damnit. he rushed forward then, shooting as he went until they made it into the stairwell, only ackowladgeing Peri and the Tech by tossing 013's shot up body into them.

Oh dear, they'd thought what 013 was worrying they would think. That he had betrayed them.. But he hadn't! "Wait no, you've got it wron-Aie!" The man squeaked, roughly grabbed up by the collar of his shirt. "Please, no, You see he was there..." he tried, but everything was cut short by a barrage of bullets, ones that he was moved into the path of. He gave a gurgled noise, eyes widening, just before his body fell limp, simply dangling instead of struggling in Vid's grasp.

Staring blankly ahead of him, it was only after he had managed to get two of them that he realized...he had one big f**king headache. He couldn't see it, but he could feel it...one big gaping hole in the back of his head. For a moment, he half had mind to reach out and touch it, you know...just to make sure--but dwelling on thoughts like those were only tedious not to mention disgusting.
It was on days like these, Colt really liked not having a pulse...all right, so he sort of had one....but things like guns, which would kill a normal person, couldn't kill him. No, if you wanted to take Colt down a peg...you were going to have to be creative.
Still, all the same, Colt could feel everything that happened to him and "eating" led, didn't feel very good at all. Aimlessly, the red head shot at the rodents lining the doorway...no wonder Vid called them filthy vermin.
Luckily, Colt was going to get out of here with only a few scratches since Vid had taken to the clever idea of using 013 as a meat-shield. Another reason why Colt had kept up with the snake...let's face it, Vid was simply smarter than Colt. It was a match of...well, brain and brawn, a very well thought out match.
In the end, their was only one downfall to be had by the snake….that was his perfectionist streak, which happened to be showing now as he tried to make a pass for Alan. ...So indeed, Alan was back, 013 hadn't been lying. Oh well, too late for him. "Move...faster," prompted a very gruff and grumbly voice. Colt knew all to well what Vid was thinking, it just wasn't worth it. At this rate the snake was going...he was going to get a lot more hurt than just his tail. Thank god they were already headed down the stairwell.

The techs had pretty much shot every chance they got, eventually having to jump back into the rooms as the two men made a break for it, to avoid getting shot where the doors wouldn't cover them. And s**t! they were gone. "They're headed down the stairway," one of them barked into the phone, "Stop them."
Alan stared back at the hallway, catching a glimpse of Vid's eye's breifly and regretting the fact he'd bothered to come up the stairs like he was... But atleast no one'd been hurt because of it. Oh wait... He caught sight of 013, swallowing hard and rolling his chair out into the hallway, mouth agape to stare at Raven and Orpheus. He cast a glance at the other two techs that had fallen, frowning lightly... To most, they were just techs, to Alan he knew each of them personally. Also knew none of them had families or lives to miss them, which only made hte death feel worse... No one to remember you, or to mourn you? "Is anyone hurt?" he looked to the living people again, everyone seemed fine...

And Peri didn't get his answer from the tech he'd asked. Instead, two guys the man had never seen before shoved a dead tech towards them and ran down the stairs. Perilas blinked. What on all of Gaia was going on here?!
Hearing Alan speak, the teacher headed out into the hallway and glanced around. Two more dead techs and... that mad woman behind some little area of sparklies. Typical girl stuff.

They were actually shooting at her! The nerve! Raven shot glares at both the unit of techs and the strange man with the illusion, who seemed to realize the futility of his plan and retreated. Of course, not before he grabbed a tech to use as a sheid. Raven recognized him as the one who'd ordered her about before, the incompetent. Well. He certainly got what was coming to him, if a bit sooner than she'd expected.
Thankfully the retreat of the two insurgents meant that the brainless techs were leaving as well. Gasping a little, Raven fell to her knees and rubbed her hands together. They felt like they had fallen asleep and she had some trouble moving them the way she wanted to. Forced magical applications often took a lot out of her. If only people would give her a few days to prepare, then she wouldn't need to deal with the rushed usage and the side effects that came with it. But no, everyone had to hurry these days.
Then a voice spoke, asking if anyone's hurt. All Raven could think was that nobody had best be hurt, or she would have exerted herself for nothing. "I believe we're fine," she breathed slowly, looking for the speaker. Then she saw him, froze for several seconds, and clumsily pointed a crooked finger at him. "YOU!" she shrieked, hand shaking. "You're DEAD!"
Anoki kept his head down. During the attack he hadn't moved a muscle after he'd landed on Myung-Ki, too afraid to do anything even at the request of a teacher. Only when Raven spoke did he look up, but when her tone changed he hit the floor again. Maybe it would be best to stay down if Mama Ray was angry with somebody.

At the sight of their retreat Orpheus lunged forward, rushing along with the mind to follow after the two guys. They couldn't very well just let the two psychos get away could they? Especially after the damage done here, the people that had lost their lives. He nearly tripped over his own feet though when suddenly out of no where there was Alan, he halted then looking over at the Boss that was to his knowlage supposed to be dead. He hesitated then in his chasing of the two men, Hell with his boss there he wasn't sure if he would get in trouble/fired/etc for attempting to chase down the two. Whatever it was that was said was, to begin with sounding like it was in a foreign language.
He then looked the way he had been going, half of him said he should follow the other half said that he should probably stay put. Leaving behind both his kids, even if they were with Raven and her magic along with Alan who looked a lot worse for wear stopped those thoughts all together.
A moment later two sets of hands had hold of his, Ter and Geia hurrying along forward to catch their father to keep him from going anywhere. Neither wanting to see him end up with the same Fate as the Techs.
Ligeia found himself looking over at Alan once their father was caught and his eyes went wide, "Wow... Talia was right." He murmured, mostly to himself.
(( Hope it makes sense posting between bouts of sleep. Maybe I will get a few hours worth this way. ))

Good everyone was okay.. As far as ones that weren't dead, atleast. And apparently he was too, judging by raven's shout. Goodness what was it with people and this 'you died' thing? Obviously he hadn't, it wasn't that hard to grasp was it?
I thad yet to dawn on him that they had stated he was dead, before it would have, but not in his current mental state. An all around tired expression had been stuck on his face, inside his body was still trying to make the organs function proporly, and it was taking all the energy he had on that alone... Good news, atleast his body was finally doing it, which meant no more life support.
Either way, he leaned back into his chair, breath, focus on working a set of new lungs... It was mildly disturbing to know that several other people's bodyparts had been stuffed into you... Creepy. "Report..." He finally muttered, glancing to the techs.
There was a moment of silence, all of the techs wondering the same thing everyone else was. Wasn't he supposed to be dead? "Security was shut down... and then they came here..." One finally spoke up, visibly shaking from the aftereffects of a shoot out.
"Get it back up... Code uh.." he paused, eyes rolling up like he might look into her brian and find what he'd forgotten. Really he used this code all the time why--Aha "A-D-7-I-8-9-2-7-0-0-1-J" He recited the code, he'd have to change it afterwards since everyone heard, but he changed it constantly anyways for security measures.
A tech nodded, moving out and into the nearest room to access a computer, tapping in the code, and a few other things, a click here and a tap there, and everything turned back on.
With a Nod, Alan relaxed finally, waving to another tech "Go down the stairs, make sure no one else was hurt."
A bit reluctant the Tech did as ordered.

Peri grinned at Raven's statement. Hadn't he already gone over that with the man? He watched as the techs slowly started getting stuff done. He heard everything powering back up. One tech started down the stairs to see where those guys had gone. The man just hoped that they had gone on by the floor below. Surely they were smart enough to just try and get out of the building or something...?
Nibal had been scared when the two men had rushed on by where he'd been hiding just outside the stairwell. He'd closed the door to the slightest crack, praying that they weren't going to open it. Maybe he should've listened to P'las and gone back to the man's office... But, he was lucky and the two had gone on down the stairs. Then he heard someone else start down the stairs and flew down the hallway, figuring that it was probably his father and he'd better be in the man's office. He pushed at the door, quickly reaching up to punch in the code to get in and plopping down onto the floor with his cars again.
