Akila_Ishtar Yugami Motto Akila_Ishtar Magic Toast *hiss* Anzu needs to burn. XD .... I quite like her. Most people don't. Sometimes I'll be her in roleplays just to bug people. *laughing manically* Okay, that's not why. I REALLY do like her. Because YugixAnzu are cute... *causes riot of YamixYugi fans holding torches and pitchforks* ............ *runs away* That I actually do agree on. I am not a fan of Atem/Anzu, sorry, just doesn't float my boat, but I do like yugi/Anzu. I mean, Anzu is less annoying in the manga....slightly....but I seem to stand her more. XD I agree with you on that. Yami/Anzu is a big no. >,< I just like her with Yugi, they are very cute in the manga... (like when they hold hands! <3) Hmm... Anzu and Yuugi together I don't mind so much but I can't stand Atem/Anzu either. For the female characters, I like Shizuka, Mai, and Isis a lot and the rest I either hate (like Vivian), don't care for (like Anzu), or only like a little bit (like Kisara).

She sorta pissed me off after that *angry glare*
I like Shizuka and Isis, cause they are so loving of their brothers... *huggles their brothers* It's so sweet!

She sorta pissed me off after that *angry glare* I like Shizuka and Isis, cause they are so loving of their brothers... *huggles their brothers* It's so sweet! I felt the same way for a while, but then I had this talk with this girl Lady Lunar Phoenix, and her view on what happened really changed my pissed-off feel of Mai after Battle City. I kind of think she had a right to be such a little b***h. Basically, the gist of the rant was that Mai hadn't had any friends until she met Yuugi Tachi. She was afraid to have friends because she always felt they would only hold her back, yet here she was being drawn to all of these kind people. Finally, in Battle City when she really starts opening up, she gets dissed. Jounouchi tells her she wasn't in his dream of FRIENDSHIP!!11OMGLOLZ. Ahem. This was a big blow to her, feeling she had finally put her trust in friends and suddenly, Jounouchi, being the big lovable moron that he is, crushed her new and fragile feelings. So obviously, she's drawn back again, going back to her creed that victory was all that mattered. Then she faces Yami no Malik. This is absolutely her first time dealing with a Dark Game, and she has to do it alone. All the other characters were together, supporting eachother on their first Dark Games. Then here Mai is, recently letting go of the support of friendship, dealing with this new magic all by herself. And she loses. She is stuck in Yami no Malik's darkness, praying that her friends really didn't abandon her and that she would be saved. While they did save her eventually, she was stuck in that Punishment Game for a long time, all alone, with no one to get through it with. Yuugi, Jounouchi, Honda, and Anzu all were together when they went through such hard times. Mai was alone. She didn't even have the thought of friendship to comfort her because it was so new to her. After all that hardship and fear, I think most people would've snapped and wanted revenge on the people they felt left them alone. While I wish she hadn't done that, I do think that what happened in Battle City did give her more of a right to go evil and crazy and desperate.

Well, I do feel bad for her, but I think the fact that they changed her dub voice during that season, killed me. I mean, her new voice was SO annoying, it added to my anger at her.
Even if she did do it for those reasons, it still made me a little frustrated. With what you said, I do feel sorry for her. But, since I'm a huge Jou fan so it was hard for me to be accepting, and to feel any empathy for her.
But saying that, makes me a hypocrite, since I am a Malik fan - who hurt Jou just as much as Mai did....
I realize I don't make any sense..... crying

It's fine. XD If you don't like a character than you don't like a character. I think I was mad at Mai, but never stopped liking her because of Doma, so once I had a reason to forgive her then I did. I only heard her new voice once, but she sounded like a New York hooker... I couldn't stand that new voice. XD;; I watched most of Doma in Japanese though so...

Akila_Ishtar Magic Toast >< I actually really hate YamiYugi pairing. That's just, like, really complex masturbation. I just don't like Anzu because she plays no vital role in the series. She's a support character, and I usually hate those characters in series. -_-;;; That's why I like villains-- they always have a reason for doing something, not just to fawn all over the main. >< I really don't like the het in Yu-Gi-Oh! too much. It's all...well, all the females are really sucky characters in and of themselves. The only one I really like at all is probably Mai. At least she has a point other than to fawn over her brother/love interest. I like powerful characters that have a reason other than to support the main. >< I don't care if that makes me a dork! I'm a Script student, can you tell?X3 I agree - I'm not a huge HikarixYami fan either. Just because they share a body... I mean, it doesn't really make sense. o_O; And you are right, there aren't a lot of awesome female characters in the series, none that I am very attached to, but I still like Anzu. She is very normal, and kind, and it seems like she just wants to keep herself close to her friends. Oh well, that's my opinion. I personally like Malik the best - but I hate, how in many fanfics they portray him as a total pansy, just because he ends up being nice at the end of his season. I have so many arguments for that one. *grumbles* One would think Malik would be a total b***h after everything that happened to him, n'est pas? I love him as well. I'm not going to tell you to stop liking Anzu-- hell, I like a lot of characters people don't like-- but shipping Anzu/Yuugi? *gag* Maybe I'm just too far gone of the proverbial Yaoi Edge.

@ Magic Toast: I agree, even though he has a kind heart and he feels a ton of guilt about everything that went on, I feel he'd still moody, and depressed even after the Battle City ordeal ended.
*shrugs* Oh well, we can't all be a fan of everything. (Otherwise it wouldn't be any fun!) And I too, tend to like pairings other's don't like, or at least have never heard of.
@Kleokitty: I don't like Yuugiou GX at all either. But it's not really Kazuki Takahashi's fault, he doesn't even write it or draw the manga for it. He just gave someone else the permission to use the name "Yu-gi-oh!" which is rather dumb, since 'the king of games' isn't even in the show... *sighs*

O.O WHAT'S WRONG WITH SHADI?!?!?!?!?! he's so kick a**! XD
I adore him!! he's really sexy in the English and in the Japanese. And he's such a little puppy dog. I mean, he can't really associate with anyone, he's pretty much all alone, he has no friends.....he reminds me of Yuugi-chan, pre-having friends.....only he's a little bit different, ne? ^^'
I think he's adorable. and come on! two Items!! ^o^

He almost seems like a robot to me. While not necessarily evil, he seems to have not heart and no personality. I mean, people say that Honda, Anzu, and Otogi have no personality? The most humane thing Shadii's ever done was rescue Honda and Otogi. And lo and behold, it was two of the characters that people tend to judge with no personality.
